HVACappliance was assigned to repair my air conditioner by my insurance company. When the technician arrived he wanted to know the last time my unit was 'maintained'. Because I could not remember the date he INSISTED that he had to do 'maintenance' before he could work on it... this cost me $350 cash, up front! And then he made up some spurious rule about the insurance not covering the refrigerant, and other parts, so he charged me for that, too. He INSISTED I pay $625 on Zelle, to his personal account, before he would even start the job. Although he eventually fixed the problem, this is FRAUD and I have reported him to the insurance company. My recommendation is that you DO NOT use this company at all!!! read more

II filed a claim through my home warranty for my air conditioner. This company when I spoke to them could not schedule an appointment and I was told they would have a technician call me. I asked when I could expect a call and was told he didn't know because the technician was booked up. This is not acceptable from this company and a very poor way of doing business. Stay clear of this company if you need speedy service. I was not asking or expecting you to drop everything to work on my service request. All I wanted to know is when I could expect a call from your technician and you could not even give me that. Then after I gave you a bad review you refused service unless I deleted the review. You didn't even ask me what the problem was with the air conditioner. Show more concern for your customers and they will show it back to you. read more

This company is a fraud. I filed a claim through my home owners warranty which the covered for new A/C unit, however this company was trying to make me pay the $5500 for new furnace when there is nothing wrong with it, the entire time requesting to replace my furnace because they kept ordering the wrong size coil. After two months they still installed wrong size coil by removing filter rack, when trying to clear condensation pipe the broke the pipe acting like it was already broken. The asked me to pay for a pump and I said no. The problem still exists. DO NOT trust this company record everything the do or say to protect yourself. I called Sparta and he came out within 30 minutes, all the way from Yorba Linda. My HVAC unit went out and I had no clue what to look for. He checked the thermostat and turns out it just needed new batteries. He replaced them and it works now. He didn't want to charge me anything but I gave him $20 for his time. After having another company assigned by First American who didn't call (we waited THREE DAYS for a call - in 95 degree weather with no AC), I called them frustrated and they quickly switched our assigned contractor to HVAC Appliances. We were told they have an appointment 2 days out and will call within 6 hours to schedule it. They called within 30 minutes. I think this company is family-run which makes me even happier to give it my business. They called us 30 minutes before (and right in the middle of the 4-hour window they originally provided) they were at our house so that my fiance could leave work to meet them. They were in an out in under an hour and fixed our issue quickly. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and quick. Fast, reliable, customer service oriented, right priced, knowledgeable are few of the words I would describe Spartak and his A/C company. I've done my due diligence and shopped around for the best price and I must say, he is by far the best price I got in town. He was kind of enough to see what other company offered and explained in "lame mans term" what all the different ac units. Because of this I saved future problem with a temporary fix. He was by far the cheapest quote for a complete change and I am very satisfied with his work and his respectful crew. They clean up after themselves and worked diligently to complete the job in a day. Spartak did an excellent job fixing my heater. My brother (a plumber) installed the system 10yrs ago and it was not up to code. Spartak evaluated the system and diagnosed that the fan limiting switch was bad. He removed the switch and had another ready to be installed at 10am the next day. He also identified changes that needed to considered and made recommendations. Oh, he also wore booties whenever in the house and was very reasonably priced. The compressor stopped working on my AC unit. Had 3 different HVAC companies come out to quote repair prices. None of them wanted to do a repair. They all said I needed a completely new HVAC from $11,000 to $14,000. Spartak did it for $1300 and replaced the bad compressor when no one else would. Works great. Spartak is knowledgeable, reliable, showed up early for the appointment and a very nice guy. I highly recommend him for anything to do with HVAC and especially if you have a problem no one else wants to touch. read more

I have recently purchased another home since Spartak did an excillent install of a 2 ton split system I mentioned in my first review. As good a job he did on the other property I mentioned I didnt hesitate to call him when my new homes ac system failed (as I mentioned in last review that I work on HVAC equipment but a whole home install is a little much for me to do on a day off) do to the prior owners home owners insurance most likely told there HVAC service contractor to just pump it full of refridgerant (flooding the compressor) to get it to pass the bank inspection because property inspectors dont really do much more than measure return air at the return (pritty lame inspection so I wish i spent a few bucks and called Spartak to be there for the inspection, but I was pressed for time and neglected to think of that being I still had faith in property inspectors at that time) so I got stuck with no AC basicly. I called Spartak and he cam over on a weekend to qoute me a price on a new system,, as happy as I was with his work I was not looking forward to shelling out for a new system being I thought I already had one lol,, Spartak made my day with his qoute, like finding out you dont need a root canal. Understanding how much it could be I was very happy that Spartak qouted me a fair price first thing, saving me time with haggling (if you have to haggle ive learned that with hvac there is alot of ways installers can cut corners) as I know he is not cutting corners to give me that price, the price he gives is for top quality work , Id rather had paid nothing lol but his price was very reasonable and I knew it so I agreed to proceed. He did the install a few days later again fast and clean job, in and out in about 5 hours and it has been three months now and it has kept us very chilled in a 2,000+ ft home ( i was very worried that the sq. ft. would be a problem as we have vaulted ceilings in all rooms, as nice as that is I was worried it wouldnt cool quickly) we are in corona ca in late june and It reaches comfortable temp within 10 minutes and chilly within 30 but it doesnt short cycle, but i guess that has to do with your insulation on home, better insulated the longer it keeps the heat from creeping into the home. Anyway I wanted to express how pleased I am with Spartaks work and can not say enough about him because he trully is a quality installer in a world of so many scammers i.e. Sears, Service Champions,, they just want to sell you a new system at screwball prices because the know if you are calling them you must have no clue whats up so they can juice you bigtime,, when there are good people out there like Spartak tbat will give you ecxeptional work and REALLY back up there work with no BS. Most people do a good job as they are expected to do. However, every once in a while I meet a PERFECT human being. Yes, they do exist. The owner of this company is a gentleman by the name of Spartak. I don't use the word gentleman lightly --- he is truly a gentleman first and foremost. There are certain attributes to being a gentleman. Honesty - Integrity - Wisdom - Family Values - Caring - Honorable - Professional - Sincere - Smart - Super Clean and Organized - did I mention knowledge? You might think I am crazy, but here is my story. I've been having some problems with my 37 YEAR OLD AC unit at my home. YES, that is not a type --- 37 YEARS OLD!!!! Mr. Spartak was working on a project at the home of a neighbor. I waited until he was done with the neighbor's project and approached him to inquire about an estimate. In a very short time he fixed the problem with our AC unit and then some. He diagnosed the problem and took care of business immediately. There aren't enough words to describe his personal and work ethics. If you want it done right then give him a call and at the very least do yourself a favor by taking my review seriously. I did write this for you - the fellow Yelp users hoping that this will help YOU.
