By 2:10pm I called the office since there had been no call or update. I was told the tech was out on another hi that had taken longer than expected and he should be able to get to my home "soon." I expressed my dismay at the fact I had not had any communication from the tech. I also asked how long the service would take once the tech did arrive. I was told it would take about 90 minutes. I had already waited all day and now I was expected to spend another 90-120 minutes waiting for the tech to arrive and perform the service!! I found this unacceptable! I said i would need to reschedule but would need a morning appointment time. I was told they could come the next day, but, once again, I would have to be available between 8:00am and 2:00pm!! No way was I going to devote another day of waiting and wondering if the tech would appear!! I used AC PLUS in the past and was very satisfied with their service. However, he brought back down from the roof, pictures of rust, oil leaks and a few burned-out resistors along with detailed explanations of where things were headed with likely steep replacemet/repair costs in the future. Not only so, but the refrigerant in my a/c unit was no longer a legal replacement in California, should leaks occur there. The motor bearings were becoming noisily worn as well. The solution to my septic plumbing ordeal began when I called Cisneros Bros. in the middle of the night meaning to leave a message, but surprisingly, after several calls (accidentally called several times in my stress) an actual person answered the phone. Nicole (who answered) must have guessed it was urgent even if after hours. The next day, I met Nathan Knapp who walked me through every single step the crew would take. (Thank you crew!). I was helping my parents with this -- their septic tank broke into a foul river of waste in their front yard. Neighbors called the city for help, we were cited to fix things immediately, and almost $18,000 later it has been fixed. I could not pay ANY company this amount without understanding what in fact they were fixing, how, and the different options. Apparently for many decades, we were not meeting city codes (we didn't know until this septic tank disaster). The cheaper options to "fix" the septic mess weren't really an option because the city citation did not allow the cheaper fixes, but also because we truly needed a major fix. Nathan and the crew (Jeff, Victor and Rogelio) were super hardworking at pumping out the tank and Victor luckily spoke Spanish who could better explain things to my dad. It's hard to pay a bill like this, but I recognize the value of it -- it was necessary, and I really don't think it would have been cheaper or done better by others. We passed the city codes with flying colors and we don't have to worry about a sinkhole or wastewater mess. So glad to have have a brand new seepage pit, new outlet lines etc.!

Their prices have also been more than fair. After suffering through a small fire at my home this last year and having a local flood and fire restoration working on repairs both of my units stopped working. No power to one that previously was working. And the other that was working was now blowing hot air. I was told that for just under $600.00 they would fix the one unit. So of course that seemed great. Air unit still blew hot air after their repair. Other unit that power had stopped to they said was a total loss. I decided to call my own HVAC people, Masco. Turns out the unit with no power, and yes breakers had been checked, had a wire that had been disconnected . Masco did a very thorough check going through attic and ground level. They spent a lot of time really checking, fixed wire that had been undone and charged a vey small amount for all of this. Air conditioner has been working like a dream, no additives or anything, just a wire. This is all documented. For my money and piece of mind the two HVAC companies up here that I would use again and recommend to anyone are Masco & Sons and ACPlus/Matt.
