10/2024. Two years ago, they sold us a furnace that was too large for our ductwork. Didn't find out until last week when furnace fan would never shut off It was discovered the furnace had a large buildup of carbon was too large for our house/ductwork and it had a large buildup of carbon monoxide in it. Apple Valley Heating and Air is no longer in business, so we have no recourse. Now, we need to pay for a new furnace just 2 years later. So angry. Back in April, 2008 I needed a new Air Conditioner/Heater packaged unit. I contacted Apple Valley Heating and Air Conditioning because I wanted a Trane unit, and at that time they were the only authorized Trane dealers in the High Desert. Ed, the owner, came to my home, looked at its size, the number of rooms, the location of all existing vents, the attic, existing ducts, and the existing unit on my roof. He recommended the size of the unit I needed (not too big or small) and that some of the vents should be moved to a different area in some of the rooms to provide better cooling and heating efficiency. Since the previous AC unit was 18 years old, he recommended that I replace all the ducts running through my attic because they were pretty much paper thin and that meant much of the cool air would end up in my attic and not in my home. Since I didn't want to waste money cooling my attic, I got the newer, more insulated, ducts. When I eventually compared the thickness of the new ducts to the old ones, I immediately saw the difference and knew why Ed had made that recommendation. Upon agreeing on the price and work to be completed, I signed the work agreement. Adam and Rubin came to my house, laid a tarp over my rug, and got to work removing the old ducts and the old unit. They professionally installed all the new duct grills and openings required in each room, ran all the new duct work through my attic, and worked with the crane operator to lift the old unit off my roof and place the new unit on the roof. They replaced my thermostat with a new touchscreen one, which I love. We turned on the unit and everything worked great. They fully cleaned up every area of the house where they had worked (attic insulation tends to fall out when replacing ducts) and they were done with my project. The city inspector came by and signed off on all the work. After it was installed, Ed came by to see the results. I'll never forget that day. He and I both climbed up on the roof. We sat up there next to the unit and talked about the new unit and everything Adam and Rubin had accomplished so professionally. The project was a complete success! Every 6 months since then I receive a call from the company to schedule my fall or spring checkup. I've had this done since the unit was installed. The unit is working as well today as the day it was installed and I've been very happy with their service. Whether the field technician coming to my home was Bobby, Carlos, or Nate, they've all been professional, knowledgeable, and easy to talk with. They completely lied. They said my air conditioner was a totally done. And they scared my tenant saying there was wires hanging out. And it was dangerous. They said it was to old to get parts for. They said all the info on the unit was faded off. All was lies. I had another company come out and the only thing was wrong was a breaker was tripped. They charged me 125. To do nothing but lie to me and my tenant. Don't trust this company. read more

My heater wasn't working so I had a different company come out originally before I knew of these guys and they told me I needed to replace the unit, I wanted a second opinion so I called apple valley heating and air and I'm so glad that I did! They were professional, quick, and HONEST, turns out I didn't need to replace the unit just a part! I highly recommend them! read more

My Air conditioner went out today. I called four different places they were all booked then I called Apple Valley Heating and Air Conditioning. They were here within the hour! Nate was great! My air-conditioning started blowing out warm air. I contacted Apple Valley heating and air, they came out about four days later. He complained about my nest system, but also did not know how to work it. Went on top of the roof for about 15 minutes. Came back down and said "OK that Will be $360." I didn't even know what the problem was and I did not authorize him to fix it once he found out what the problem was. He claims he fixed our capacitor and also gave it a maintenance check. But then about a month later, Our AC started blowing out hot air again. Pretty much doing the exact same thing it was doing before. So I contacted him and let him know that it was doing the exact same thing. He said it would be no warranty and then he'll do me a favor and come out for free. But every time he came out, my AC would randomly start working again. He was mind boggled and did not know what the problem was which makes me feel like he just changed the capacitor originally and gave it a maintenance check but still didn't know what the original problem was. we had a neighbor come over and look at it, turns out there was a loose wire the whole time. Very disappointed, very unprofessional and would never hire this company again. I hope this never happpens to someone else. read more

Don't waste your time. Called & secretary answered at 9am & I was told she would talk to the tech & call me back. No one ever called. Left message at 2pm & still no call back by 5pm. Very poor way to do business, not even the courtesy of a call back. Now I'm still freezing & its too late to call another place until morning. read more

Look no further! Hire them now! My knowledge of heating and air ends at pretty much at adjusting the thermostat. When our heater unexpectedly went out Nate and Ed came to replace it. They kept me updated of the issues they found from others who had worked on the unit, provided step by step instructions of what they were doing and why. They answered all of my questions with confidence and easy understanding. Even down to filters, and the vent covers! A process that could have been so stressful as a home owner especially with an old dinosaur of a unit and the mistakes that were made by previous installers, this process was easy informative and no stress at all for me. Every issue or challenge they encountered were met with solid solutions to fix them. They provided over the top customer service and professionalism to make sure the job was done correctly. Even coming out a 3rd day to fix an issue they could have walked away from saying "that's not our problem, good luck with it". They didn't though! Nate came back the next day to fix that issue because he felt like the job wasn't done yet! I'm forever grateful for Nate and Ed. My heater and ac have never worked better. Seriously I didn't know they could actually work as well as they do now. I will always fully recommend Apple Valley Heating and Air to all of my friends, family or anyone who asks. read more

I used this company on July 5.First They charged and extra $30..00 because it was a holiday weekend. I understood that but they wanted that part in cash. This was for my work so I didn't do that. The unit was frozen and he had other calls. He said it would take too long he would need to comeback. So NO work was done for the $75 that was paid. He said he would credit $45 of that toward the repair. He said he could schedule to come back on 15 because I was leaving to go out of town. I called on the 15 Jackie the secretary said they couldn't come for 2 more weeks. That wouldn't work as I had to have the A?C to work. I found someone else to do the repair. I spoke to jackie about a refund on the $45. She said she had to talk to the service tech first. Week later when I spoke to her again she said they were sending a refund. Weeks later when I didn't get the refund she said she had to talk to the owner. Forgetting that she had already said he cleared it. Spoke to her again and she hasn't been able to talk to her boss for 2 1/2 weeks now. I have it in writing and that still doesn't matter. I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST using this company. They are very unethical. read more
