Penn Drug has been in business since before the civil war, owned and operated by the same family. In addition to a full service pharmacy, Penn Drug has an old fashioned 'soda fountain" where you can get authentic, hand made malts. sodas, phosphates and floats. Like many "old style" Drug Stores (before the"big box" invasion) Penn's carries a little bit of everything. You'll often find 91 year old Bill Penn still behind the pharmacy counter, filling prescriptions as he has since the 50's. Never too busy to answer questions about your medications or discuss current affairs in our little town, Bill is a community icon! Whether you're in the area for "Iowa's Championship Rodeo" or a leisurely picnic at Waughbonsie State Park (with magnificent views of the Missouri river bottom from the scenic overlook). A trip to Penn Drug for a malt or a soda, hand made and simply delicious, is a must in a visit to an often overlooked corner of Iowa, less than an hours' drive from the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro area. Wow! What happened? Haven't been over here in a while. The store is a bit of a disaster. There's…read moretrash in the parking lot and looks like piles of old clothes and empty cans and food products left in and around the parking lot. The interior of the store, unfortunately doesn't fare any better. I was genuinely surprised to find trash strewn in the aisles. Even the floor of the pharmacy wasn't that clean. This place really needs a bit of a scrub! Discarded food products, and filthy refrigerator shelves question me whether I would buy from this location moving forward. Shelves were not very organized and disorganization did not extend to restocking inventory. While the store is now a 24 seven operation, the pharmacy does have limited hours including a complete shut down at midday for lunch for the entire staff. Hope that the store gets cleaned up a bit because I had always enjoyed coming in here and now I'm not sure if I'm coming back. All I have to say - Yikes!

I hung around town all day, since I live 30 minutes out of town, as it wasn't ready. I came back several hours later after two messages telling me it was ready. There were 4 cars ahead of me. We waited 45 minutes in the drive-thru and then they told me my medicine would not be ready until Monday! I said, "I have two messages saying it's ready and I've been sitting here 45 minutes!" She checked again and I finally got it! Because of such a long wait, we were then late to a birthday party we were originally hoping to be early to! I will not be going back!

This review is for the Walgreens photo department on Briarcrest Drive in Bryan Texas. I had a…read morerather large order for them to complete regarding my wedding. They told me they ran out of paper and the manager here canceled my order. I had waited five days for the order to be completed before I had this information. I decided it would be best after that to use the online services for Walgreens for my photos. Unfortunately, after an additional seven days that order got lost. I had to re-order again. I have not yet received my wedding photos, but I am very disappointed with Walgreens and I will probably use a different photo processing center in the future. I want to be sure to note that they did apologize for their error, but I don't have confidence in them moving forward.
