I stayed at the Hyatt House on a not so recent trip (August, 2024). I've stayed at Hyatt properties before, but this was my first time staying at a Hyatt House. The hotel is located across the street from the Anschutz Medical Campus. They keep the entrance locked at all times. If you don't have a key card to enter, the front desk staff will buzz you in. Upon my arrival, I received a complimentary bottle of water which I appreciated. When I got to my room, I tried to turn on the TV, however it wouldn't work. Maintenance came up pretty quickly to fix the issue. Somehow my room did not have the correct remote for the TV. Luckily they were able to find a remote that did work with the TV so that was a relief. The room was nice, spacious, and clean. It had a microwave, mini fridge, and a little coffee bar. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. They offered complimentary breakfast each morning. The food was mediocre, but I did appreciate the fact that they had a good amount of offerings like eggs, ham, pastries, cereal, and yogurt. I stopped by the H Bar (located in the lobby) for happy hour. I didn't order any food, but I did have a French 75 which I enjoyed. I had a comfortable stay at the Hyatt House. read more

Loved the security of needing to use a room key everywhere. It is so incredibly clean and quiet. We hardly ran into other guests. The kitchen is a huge hit. So helpful in saving money being able to make stuff in the hotel. The supplies is limited though, so keeping that in mind. Housekeeping only comes every other day, you have to go down to the front desk to get extra things as they don't run it up to you. Love how the beds are in a separate room with a door so that when the kids went to bed I could still hang out with my husband in the living room. It truly felt like a home away from home. Had a pleasant stay at this Hyatt House, chosen for its proximity to University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center, across the street, where we had an appt. The lobby is very spacious, also partly due to the high ceilings. On the left is the H Bar on the left and a business center area. On the right is the small H Market corner, plus a large breakfast dining room. Walking toward the back, you'll find the elevators, restrooms, some conference rooms, fitness center and pool. For security, you need to tap in with your room key in order to take the elevator. Free unsecured wifi and free parking. The people working the front desk are friendly and helpful. We booked their 485 sq ft room listed as "One Bedroom Kitchen Suite | King Bed (plus sofa bed)". I wanted to explicitly point this out because I know it's not always clear when looking through people's Yelp photos if they don't mention which type of room it is that they booked. I've stayed several times here and have had room 509, 309 and 424; these rooms are virtually identical. There's plenty of space to relax in, and the suite design is convenient when someone can be in the kitchenette or sitting area without disturbing the other person who needs to rest or nap in the bedroom; there is a door between the sitting area and the bedroom. There's plenty of drawers in the bedroom. Two closets, one in the bedroom and one by the kitchenette, makes it easy to tuck away your large suitcases. There's also plenty of power outlets in both rooms. And the high table in the kitchenette area has outlets on both sides, so you have easy access regardless of which side you sit. It would be the perfect work area, except that I found the overhead lamp way too bright for computer work or reading paper. You can hear people talking in the hallway, so this suite configuration is perfect for light sleepers since the bedroom is further from the hallway door, and you can block more noise by closing the bedroom door. Colfax Ave facing rooms are more noisy than the parking lot facing rooms. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The walk-in shower had a low corner ledge that is convenient for shaving legs. I thought this was a thoughtful touch, and also made it much safer to do in a slippery shower. The wide shower, with sliding doors felt spacious. Shower water remained hot, and did not do the fluctuating hot/cold temp that some other hotels have. Shampoo, Conditioner and Shower Gel pumps were attached to the wall inside the shower. Soap bar was provided for the bathroom sink. But it seemed odd that they did not provide any lotion; remember to bring some if you need lotion. I love the 2 shades they have mounted by the windows. One is a total black out shade. The other shade is more see through and lets in filtered light. Large tall window in the bedroom gave us a great view of the park and medical center across the street, and also let in a lot of natural light into the bedroom. The kitchenette was really convenient. There's a full size fridge, a large microwave, a small cooktop, dishwasher & sink. I mostly used the microwave, which was also handy for heating up a microwavable heating pad. Kitchenette is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, and cookware. I appreciated the variety of cups available in the room, standard coffee mug, basic water glass, and stemless wine glass. There's not a whole lot within walking distance... a 7-Eleven & gas station across the street. Carbon Coffee, Modern Market Eatery, Azu Ramen, Starbucks and Circle K down the street on the same side as the hotel. The neighborhood was dead quiet at night which made me feel less inclined to walk far from the hotel after dark. Free breakfast is included at the hotel. It's the standard breakfast with some hot items. Scrambled eggs. 2 meats (ham & sausage links one morning; ham and sausage patties on another morning). Potatoes. Biscuits & gravy one morning; French Toast sticks on another morning. Bread for toast, bagels, muffins. Hard boiled egg, yogurt, fresh fruit mix, banana, apple. Juices, tea, coffee. No pancake or waffle maker. Breakfast hours were 6:30am-9am Mon-Fri, and 7am-10am on Sat & Sun. They put away everything promptly at closing time. I like how they use real melamine plates, instead of paper plates that some other hotels use. It just feels more sturdy. The breakfast dining room is large with plenty of tables & chairs. There is even a long bench seat with outlets below. And some tables are high top. It was never crowded on any of the mornings. I don't know if it's always this way. But it was a pleasant change from the overcrowded breakfast room at most other hotels. One more thing I wanted to note. There is free wifi at the hotel and it is completely wide open to everybody to connect to. You don't even need a password to get access. And for some unknown reason, our VPN doesn't work with the wifi. Something to keep in mind when using the hotel internet. read more

Full kitchenette to make some teas or water ever you want. Great place when you're on the road and exceedingly met my expectations! So very pleased with our experience at the Hyatt House located directly across from UCHealth Anschutz Campus. My family and I stayed in multiple room types over the course of the week and we had a phenomenal stay! While I forgot to take pictures of our rooms, they were well appointed with full refrigerators and cooking areas. One of our suites included two queen beds as well as a sectional couch with a pullout bed, full kitchen and table area. Another room was a king suite with a mini kitchen and another was a full king suite with full kitchen. Every single room was clean with a coffee maker, iron, hair dryer, and everything you'd need for an extended stay. In the morning, we started our day off with free coffee and breakfast and it was superb! The food was hot, fresh, plenty full, and there was a great selection of choices. From fresh fruit, to warm protein and everything in between, one of the better breakfast offerings we've ever had at an extended stay hotel! The gym and pool area were also fantastic! Super quiet, clean and well kept! There is a bar area that is open for happy hour in the evenings that serves a variety of food and there was also a pool table in that area. I can't wait to stay here again! Alex, the first person we met at the front desk, was one of the best front desk agents we've ever dealt with! He was kind, professional, and very attentive! He navigated and resolved a number of different self-induced issues and was a great help. While we did not use the shuttle service, the property even has a shuttle service offering! We checked in here yesterday for a 1 night stay due to an early appointment the next day. Check in was very easy. Being that it was located right across the street from several hospitals... They only had 2 wheelchairs and one luggage cart? Trying to pull up to the front of the hotel was a bit of a mess because their huge van sits right out front of the very little space to park and unload. Once I loaded everything up, I was juggling quite a bit... And it just seemed like the workers there even though they were young men were not very helpful at all. And one of them was just kind of standing around.. It was spacious and clean when you walked in. There was a bar situated to the left... Where you could have drinks or could order some dinner... once we got settled. I went downstairs to see if I could order some food there and the first thing the guy tells me is that they have no salads and offered me to go to the restaurant that was around the corner... I didn't get the feeling he really wanted to work. I was pretty tired at this point after working all day... So I was a little annoyed that I had to walk down there to go get food. As far as the rooms went for a one night day, it wasn't bad! It was also ADA friendly, which helped with our wheelchair. Breakfast was really good and fresh and the staff were very kind! So it definitely ended on a better note! I would probably stay here again... For a night. But they just need to figure out how to really be a little more hands-on with the guests that are staying and have more wheelchair availability luggage cards, etc.. read more

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Located next to the city's medical center on a main street Colfax Ave. I'm told the hotel is only 3 years old. It looked pretty new to me. Check in was pretty easy. The front entrance is key access only, and is locked at all times. And has entrance camera surveillance. Apparently the area surrounding the hotel is pretty sketchy and dangerous, specifically at night. So be aware. But I had no incident at all. The lobby area is large with different seating areas. My room itself was clean and was a good size for me. Had a nice view of the hospital and the foothills off in the distance. FYI they do a light room cleaning every other day, and a deep cleaning every 4 days if you stay 7 days or more. I asked for my room to be cleaned and restocked of towels on my 3rd day and it was not an issue. There is a fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker in the room. Bathroom was modern. The breakfast bar had more offerings than I expected which I appreciated. And staff were managing it well to restock coffee/cooked food/fruit & yogurt items. My check out with Bridget was nice. She offered me a bottle watered, and ensured I was safely getting to my destination. This hotel is not near any site seeing areas, tourist attractions, museums, or nice restaurants etc. So you would need to drive out to anything worth seeing, if you're visiting. It also isnt walkable to anything worth seeing either. Except the hospitals in the there small med center, or the couple of parks that are a few blocks away. So I wouldn't stay here solo and plan on walking anywhere, unless I had a vehicle. They have a parking lot in the back of hotel. Overall it was a good stay for me. read more

Very nice, newer hotel (2021). Thus would be a perfect place to stay of you need to be close to University of Colorado Hospital because it's right across the street. I was worried about parking before we arrived after reading other reviews. The parking lot is on the smaller side, but the hotel has an overflow lot. Hotel staff help customers if they are having trouble finding a place to park, so I wouldn't worry too much about this if you're planning a stay. Rooms are generously sized. Rooms have a kitchenette with stovestop, dishwasher, small refrigerator and microwave. Cupboards are stocked with cooking basics, silverware, and plates. I loved the nice big windows in the room, offering beautiful views of the Generals Park across the street. Breakfast is complimentary and quite good. Unlike some hotels, the food isn't the exact same choices every day. Reception has two employees named Alex, and they were both professional and helpful. The hotel has a nice bar in the lobby with pizza, sandwiches, and burgers. There is an indoor swimming pool and gym. Overall, we had a wonderful stay read more

I wanted to be close to the UC hospital and clinic buildings. You can't get any closer. It's literally right across the street. That's great, unless you're a light sleeper or bothered by a lot of noise 24/7. There are ambulance with sirens blaring and the very loud "bronk bronk" at the intersection right out our window. Never mind it seems obvious that CO has no noise law against very loud mufflers. All that aside, our room #629 (top floor, corner, 2 queen beds, connecting unit) was nice. It's called a large 2 room. Meaning a living/kitchen area with a separate bedroom with a door. It was very clean. The kitchen was very basically stocked. Could have used a small cutting/paring knife instead of the very large serrated knife. Only one sauce and frying pan. And, no toaster. This was the first place I've stayed in with a kitchen with no toaster. But, the amazing desk person found one for me to use. Talk about going out of your way! The living area is very spacious bit sterile looking. Could use some nicer pillows and a nice comfy chair. There is plenty of room. The couch is not very comfortable. The sheets on one bed had holes and tears in the top sheet and one of the couch pillows was coming apart at the seams. Parking is limited. There is a free buffet breakfast. Overall, if you want to be close to the hospital, this is the hotel for you. Just bring earplugs. read more

If you have heard the stories about Aurura, CO, they are all true. The area it is in is a massive dump. You need to scan your card just to get into the hotel. If it's full, expect to park in the overflow lot which is an unmowed field where there are several homeless "residences". The staff doesn't even park there. Most people just parked illegally until they were even full. The cops are too busy to deal with fire lane tickets. There was a murder at the intersection when we were there (Peoria and E Colfax). The free breakfast was marginal, the coffee was water and if you enjoy plastic in your sausage (which my son did), then you will enjoy it. There is only ever 1 person at the desk and if that person is helping someone, enjoy the wait. Decent workout room, tiny pool. The cleaning staff was kind and helpful but most didn't know a lick of English. Enjoy luke warm showers unless it is an off time like 2pm or 2am. Air condition sounded like a 747 and the fridge vibrated when it was running. Bartender was friendly and there was a mini pool table for the kids to enjoy. I don't know how anyone could rate this place above 2 stars, I am sure they were paid or Hyatt employees. read more

I spent two nights here at Hyatt House this week. The staff here were very nice specifically the guy who checked us in that night. I wish I got his name. We felt very safe in the hotel. You must use your room key to enter the hotel, to take the elevator, and obviously to get into your room too. The hotel was very clean! They have complimentary breakfast each morning. It was good. Some things they always have other hot items rotate. One day there was biscuits and gravy vs the next day there were pancakes. Other amenities are a gym, indoor pool, and a bar at night. read more

If you are a business traveler I would say that you should absolutely avoid this location. The immediate neighborhood is dicey at night (although it is gentrifying fast...the neighborhood wont be an issue in the next couple of years) and this property is not to the standards of other Hyatt properties in Denver. But if you are visiting a family member, friend etc who is a patient at one of the great medical facilities in the Anschutz Medical Center (UC Health University, Childrens Hospital Colorado or the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center) or are a student or visiting a student at the University of Colorado School of Medicine then I guess this hotel would work. The property itself is a bit dirty outside of the building and in the hallways elevators etc and is extemely noisy due to the poor construction and thin walls etc. read more

Our stay was very pleasant with no issues at all. The staff was friendly and helped us with whatever we needed. The hotel is clean and we felt safe and comfortable at all times. Be aware of the following though. 1- While driving to the hotel might drive through a neighborhood that is very sketchy. The location of the hotel is safe however even the park across the street is nice to check out but of course try to stay safe at night. 2- Room service seems to be every other day. 3-Bring your appetite breakfast is delicious I have a pool and a weight room as well on the small side but serves the purpose. read more

Lovely & look like a brand new hotel! We stayed there only one night before our flight back home. When we first walked in, the hotel's atmosphere is peaceful. The light color wood look floor, neutral decorations here & there make everything look inviting & clean. The room is new & clean, good size bathroom. Their continental breakfast selection is awesome & fresh (coffee, milk, juice, egg, yogurt, fruit, bagel, oatmeal, etc) in comparison with other hotels we have stayed in the same trip. However, the hotel is surrounded with a lot of road construction as of Sep 2021, it maybe not so convenient but hopefully after it will be done, everything will be resumed normally. read more

The area is sketchy. Hotel staff was allowing people to hang out, outside in front of the hotel. A fight broke out shortly after we checked in. They did not have adequate parking for hotel guests. They asked for us to park in the fire zone, even though that's illegal. We ended up parking at the hospital across the street. They had over flow parking but didn't recommend it because they don't have cameras up. I asked the front desk clerk to cancel our last two nights because of it. He said he couldn't, I called booking and they called the hotel on multiple occasions and we never heard back but they attempted to charge my card twice before sending an invoice for the one night we actually stayed. Very shady how they are running their business at this location, how are they getting away with this? Lastly the rooms could have been cleaner . Oh and Paul the manager is on a medical leave for the last few months and they have no escalation process to resolve customer concerns. read more

My main complaint is with Hyatt, after a seven day stay for a family members nearby hospital stay, we we discharged by the hospital in the AM. I immediately let the front desk know we'd be checking out... AFTER A WEEK LONG STAY ... and Hyatt refused to cancel the last night. I was out of the room well before check-out time. So for this reason alone, we'll avoid any Hyatt properties on the future. This location was very convenient to UC health, but the property area is sketchy, especially after dark. Parking is very limited and shared with an apartment building, so if you're not parked by 4 o'clock pm on a weekday you're either going to wait, or walk a bit. If we had to do it again, I would book a different hotel all together. read more

Great hotel for a clean room, good location and amenities! Biggest reasons why I chose this hotel was free parking, free hot breakfast, and location that was only 20 min from the airport and 15 min away from downtown. I was surprised as to how large my room was so there was plenty of room for me to spread out. In the room is a decently sized fridge, coffee pot, and microwave. I wasn't expecting there to be a microwave so it was a nice addition so I could heat up left over food! Bed was very comfortable and room was very clean to me! The breakfast in the morning was good and had a wide variety of foods! The only negative thing I would have to say would be the amount of noise from the street, hallway, fridge, and AC/heating unit. I had the view of the hospital and the rockies which was nice compared to the parking lot, however I noticed there was a LOT of street noise as Colfax is a very busy street. I woke up several times in the middle of the night because of noisy cars going by. As some other reviewers had said, the heating/AC unit was super loud so I ended up shutting off the air before I went to bed because that would wake me up. The fridge was also very loud and would turn on/off throughout the night. Finally the doors don't have soft closing hinges, so you can hear your neighbors slamming their doors. I will admit that I am a light sleeper, so all of these things unfortunately bothered me. So if noise doesn't bother you, then this is the place for you! I would stay here again, but probably request parking lot view and wear ear plugs! read more

If I could put 0 stars, believe me I would! Hotel was nice and clean, blah blah whatever. Here's my issue: It has been over a month since my stay here. The hotel has charged my credit card over 5 times now since then. They charge, I call, they refund it. Over and over and over! Mind you, I never should've been charged in the first place! I booked a flight/hotel package that is already being paid for through Southwest Airlines. I have left MULTIPLE messages for the manager, Paul. No call backs. No messages. Nothing. I am BEYOND PISSED! If this doesn't get resolved soon and sits in my bank statement and accrues interest as such a large charge, livid will be more accurate by then. I've left Paul yet another message this afternoon and am giving him until the end of the day to call me back before I call corporate. Maybe they will respond to a customer. read more

Highly recommend this brand new Hyatt Place on Colfax! 140 rooms near the Denver/Aurora corridor, near light rail and the Anchultz medical campus. It is also 5 miles from the Aurora Sports Park and close to Buckley Air Force Base. It is a very welcoming property with a lot of modern aesthetics. I love the color palette at the Hyatt place all of the rooms and spaces are very calm, welcoming and comforting. I really loved all of the plants (everywhere), open space concepts and spacious community workplaces. The hotel rooms are very spacious and there are lots of dedicated work spaces around the property. The meeting space is about 1800+ square feet that can accommodate at least 125 people depending on the capacity limits for the state. There are also great options for extended stays that help you feel at home with full-size kitchen appliances and even sleeper sofas for a larger family. Check in is at 12 PM & check out is at 3 PM. They also have a great space for special events and also equipped to host custom catering for group travelers. I love the complimentary parking, fitness center, heated indoor pool, complimentary breakfast and laundry on site. The chef inspired menus are super delicious and beautifully plated. I enjoyed the baked french fries with Parmesan, sliders and the gin cocktails! Another bonus is that there is a 24 hour H market near the entry with groceries or snacks. I will definitely be back to enjoy the H Bar where there is a beautiful outdoor patio space, pool and accessible bar seating. Another plus is that if this is a brand new hotel so for people that are Covid conscious, then I highly recommend checking out this clean, fresh and vibrant space to stay at for your next visit in Colorado! First, the hotel is beautiful inside and out. We had no problems with our room, our floor, or any of the amenities. The AC was a little noisy during the night but not any louder than any other hotel air conditioner. Second, the staff here was so helpful and nice our entire stay, especially Brittany at the front desk when we checked in. She was swamped and there was a line of people waiting to be checked in and she still made us feel very comfortable. She was very considerate of our time and overall started our weekend get away off on a great foot (we still talk about this interaction days after our stay). Lastly, the hotel is in an up and coming area. I never once felt uncomfortable or unsafe at this hotel. There are plenty of nice restaurants right down the street that I would feel comfortable walking to-at any time of the day. The staff reminded us to not leave valuables in our car, which you shouldn't do anyways at any hotel. The hotel is VERY secure inside, you need a key card to even use the elevator past the 1st floor, or use the pool, or fitness center. We WILL be staying here the next time we're in town. read more

We stayed at Hyatt House Denver/Aurora because it was across from UC Health, where a family member was having major heart surgery. We booked online and paid for the room. When checking in the desk clerk wanted to see our credit card, which we gave her. An Apple credit card without numbers. (security) She informed us that Hyatt does not accept this Apple (master card). And said we had to give her another. But yet card was on file. Hmmm Why? Very disappointed. Other family members ran into similar issues with the front desk. Charged twice for the room (8 days) and charged for checking out early. (twice) Really?! read more

New, clean, and chic decorations for a mid priced hotel. The breakfast was good, the suite included a kitchenette and television area separate from the bed which is awesome (I wish more hotels had that!). The parking lot is patrolled, but not fenced. Just an FYI- the area is transitional, and close to a bus stop, so there are some interesting crowds around the hotel. However it is right across from the hospital, and everything is badge access, and felt safe. Would stay at a Hyatt House again! read more

Sadly to say I was disappointed. When I checked in our room had blood stains on the bed which was very disturbing . I called the front desk and they gave us a new room . It was annoying to move all of our stuff in the middle of the night . I would've liked my full refund back but unfortunately they didn't offer it. I was confused on how they check their rooms shouldn't bed sheets be switched out every time. The blood looked like fresh dry blood all I have to say is I was disgusted. read more

We shortened our stay to one night (vs the two we were going to stay) because I felt unsafe at the hotel- the area surrounding the hotel is scary and there was a shooting at the hotel a year ago. We have tried to contact the hotel multiple times to be refunded and it rings with no answer. We have left multiple voicemails on Paul, the owners, phone and have not heard back. It's been months. So many reasons to not stay here. Originally we had booked this hotel to stay at while my mother in law was undergoing brain surgery at Anschutz (convenient location, I will give you that). We had booked one hotel room for my husband and I for a week and one hotel room for my mother in law for the night before her surgery. Unfortunately, we ended up admitting my MIL into the ER due to complications. When we arrived at the hotel, it seems like a sketchy part of town, you have to use your key card to get into the hotel at any hour of the day. Ok, safety is cool. Walking in the lobby smells like sewage. No big deal, maybe it won't smell in the room. I filled the receptionist in about my MIL and she was super understanding and said she would talk to the GM since he approves all refunds. Cool we will check back in tomorrow. Went up to our room and hardly got any sleep. It is on Colfax, and not only do you hear sirens and traffic all night, there is currently construction so you get all that noise too. Ok, we can deal. It is super close to the hospital and the room is nice. My MIL has surgery the next day so we don't get to follow up with the GM. Everything still smells like sewage. Cool. We go to bed that night and again, can't sleep because of traffic noise. Around two, we are awoken by lots of noise and sirens. Turns out, THERE WAS A SHOOTING. Yeah. Cool, I guess those super safe doors don't do much. Checked in with the GM. No refund because we booked online. Cool. If you like crappy customer service, sewage smells, traffic noise all night and shootings, maybe this is the place for you. read more

My family and I recently stayed here because of a family member being admitted at UC Health for over 7 days. We spoke to the front desk about our stay and that we didn't know exactly when we would need to check out. The gentlemen at the front told us we could go day by day and not to worry about it. Another family member set up the reservation for us, 4 weeks before we were set to arrive. Followed all the rules about this 3rd party authorization process. On the day that our family member was discharged I went to the front desk to check out early and was told I needed to pay for that night that we wouldn't be staying and the other 2 nights would be no charge. I had told her what the other man said and she said "no that's not our policy". I am aware of the 24hr cancelation fee BUT this was not a cancelation it was an early check out. In my frustration and urgency to pick up my family member (which I also told her) I gave her my card to pay for the night. WELL they charged my sister for the whole stay PLUS the last night, charged me also for the last night and then went and also charged the 3rd party person from the beginning of this long story!!! We have been run in circles trying to talk to SOMEONE about this and getting the refunds needed. All we get is here is the managers number, leave a message, NO ONE calls back. Please be weary of staying here and for HYATT this is very disappointing and I will be sure to let my friends and family know NOT to stay here. read more

This is the worst hotel ever. I am trying to cancel my reservation for two rooms for about 20 days now (they cancel all the events in the medical center because of COVID) and get no one responsible to answer any question. I have been told to wait for the general manager because he was on vacation, and I kept calling every single day and left voice messages, but he is not there and no one got back to me. Today the receptionist was so rude, she told me that no one knows when he will be back and she cannot do anything and hung on the phone !!!!!!!. This is the worst customer service ever. The worst management ever, the worst hotel. I am still waiting for someone to call me back and explain this rudeness. Another massage for the front desk. We reserve this hotel for 6 nights total of 12 rooms for a soccer tournament in Colorado for our team and on our 4th night, the Night Shift person (refused to give his name also refused to give owner info) threatened two of our (13 year old kids to physically hurt them and was really racist towards our party. Police was involved for the threats and safety. read more

The room was lovely and comfortable which was exactly what was needed. It provided a clean, warm safe haven for my unhoused friend that was being harassed by the police for sleeping on the ground. My issue came with the front desk staff. Not only were they disrespectful, they were quite dismissive and rude to my friend. When we entered, the greeting was, "What are you doing here?" I have worked in customer service including a high end luxury hotel. Never before have I asked something this. That told me that the Hyatt did not want our business, which is fine, they won't get anymore of my or my organizations money. read more

1 STAR based solely on Customer Service. HORRIBLE STAFF DO NOT STAY HERE. on our 1st night the police were called on guests. On the second day we got locked out of our rooms and I had to start dialing police before anything was done. And this was all happening while another guest was having a problem with the staff. Employee Emily is horrible and probably a thief. She cancelled our room key while we were at breakfast. All our luggage was in the room and she refused to reactivate our room key. We asked for a manager and she said there was no one there, she refused to give us her name or a customer service number, she kept trying to give us another room's key which i refused BECAUSE MY LUGGAGE WAS IN MY ROOM. I personally believe she was stalling to try and steal out of our room. I had to threaten to dial the police and pretend to do so in order for her to finally call the manager down who was in his office the whole time. Very shiesty staff. I only can imagine what would have happened if I had not been persistent and demanding that I be allowed back in my ALREADY PAID FOR ROOM! Other than that the hotel was clean, new amenities, easy parking, and nice bartender. Not the best neighborhood and you car might get broken into. Ms. Bridgett at the front counter is excellent and is prob the only reason the hotel gets anything done. She seems to be the only one there who knows what she is doing and knows how to provide excellent customer service. Maybe they should have her train the thief Emily. read more

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. it was surprisingly affordable given the quality of the property. The rooms were clean, the exercise facilities were open 24 hours, the free breakfast was adequate and the staff was outstanding. In particular, I want to mention Meiko. She handled every question and concern quickly, professionally. Kudos not only to Meiko, but also to whoever had the foresight to hire her. She helped make the experience particularly enjoyable. If I could give 0 star for service and over all experience I would!! I'm very disappointed and furious by my experience at this particular location. first off, service from the front the evening we walked in and checking in 9/15 was just rude and condescending. Drove in from out of state, I had my reservation booked 2 months in advance for an event that's taking place in the nearby area. I Called the location to confirm my bookings and to let them know that I'm still traveling that I'll be arriving at a later time but I am on my way. Everything was confirmed and set up according to the person I spoke to over the phone at 3pm only to arrive at the hotel upon checking in to be told I have no reservation!! That there was something wrong on the card on file, processing issue which was No problem right? or so I thought I handed him another form of payment and he told me with an attitude "sorry you have no reservation we canceled it!!! What?!? and there is no rooms available!!!Are you kidding me! I ask why would they cancel my reservation which was confirmed over the phone. At the time I spoke to someone to notify them I'll be arriving late no one informed me about an issue on the card or issue at all ei; not processing if so I would have offered another form of payment. He continued rudely "well we don't know that, we don't know if you can pay so it was canceled" and continued to explain that they tried to hold the reservation till 6pm but I didn't show up. And told me "next time you travel you need to coordinate and call us to let us know and I don't think we have rooms available since your walking in late". At this point I'm infuriated because I did call and confirmed the rooms I booked months in advance and notified that I'm still on the road!!!!! Now here I am 12 hrs of driving in, in the middle of the night, exhausted trying to figure out who has available rooms. I am furious because it didnt make sense to me why a confirmed reservation was canceled! When I did make a courtesy call to avoid such issue. I ask why was I not informed as All my information and email is on file. He just rudely told me "No we don't, some of the bookings if it was reserve somewhere other than our site blah blah. I'm just in disbelief at this point! I called costumer service to figure out what is going on and they can't give me an explanation of why my reservation was canceled. Nowhere else have I experienced this and in any Hyatt place I have been to until at this location. Hopefully this isn't a company thing, policy etc where they just randomly cancel confirmed bookings base on assumptions. First impression is a lasting impression. Would not recommend read more

This is for the newly opened Hyatt House on E Colfax Ave. It's Immaculate & welcoming! The staff is friendly & responsive. The rooms are comfy with pillow top mattresses & the decor is tastefully modern. The is an indoor pool, bar, & well balanced breakfast available. It's just a walk away from the hospital with a nearby 7-11 & Family dollar. I cannot recommend Hyatt House highly enough. read more

Even Jedi Masters and dark Sith lords need a vacation and this is the place to do it. I checked in to visit the clone doctors, nuerologists, and psychologists across the road to repair my dwindling force because that rebel scum Obi Wan Kenobi hurt me sorely in an unfair light saber duel, but my stay at the Hyatt House made it all worth the poking and prodding across the street. My insomnia was shared by a kindred spirit by the front desk graveyard Jedi Mistress Angie. She is truly a luminous being and strong in the ways of the force, but she is not swayed by the dark side. She made my sleepless nights a wonderous experience. I shared dark brewed coffee made by Lulus culinary crew. The breakfasts were delectable and plentiful to recharge the disturbance in my force. I asked for an extra strong cup of their darkest brew and it was so strong I began helping them set up their breakfast buffet until I was chased off with kindness and humor and remembered I was a guest and not a padawan again. Thank you Hyatt House, Angie and Lulu. I have fallen in love again. Though they are not Princess Padme's they are close seconds to my one true love. read more
