I am writing to formally express my disappointment and concern regarding an incident that occurred during our stay at your property while attending a youth soccer tournament in Plano, Texas. On the evening before our departure, we left a backup battery charging near the swimming pool entrance, directly in front of what appeared to be a security camera. This battery is an essential piece of equipment used for our soccer academy's tournament operations and has an estimated value of approximately $800. Several hours later, we discovered that the battery had been stolen. While the financial loss is significant, the greater concern is the impact this incident had on our experience. What should have been a positive and memorable tournament trip ended with our property being stolen and our confidence in the safety and security of the premises severely diminished. Immediately after discovering the theft, we requested assistance and asked that the security camera footage be reviewed. To our surprise and frustration, we were informed that the footage was unavailable because the recordings had been erased. Given that the battery was located directly in front of a security camera, the inability to access or preserve the footage raises serious concerns regarding security procedures and the protection of guests and their belongings. We have reported this incident to the local police department and are cooperating fully with their investigation. Our objective is to identify the individuals responsible for this theft and recover compensation for the stolen property. We respectfully request that your management team conduct a thorough internal review of this matter, including an investigation into why the surveillance footage was not available when it was needed most. We also ask that you provide any assistance possible to support the ongoing police investigation and help resolve this situation fairly. We chose your property expecting a safe and secure environment for our team and families. We randomly chose this hotel for a family reunion in the Dallas area (based on location of friends who lived closed by) and could not have been more impressed with the level of service and hospitality the employees there provided us. Specifically, the assistant manager, Cynthia, was so friendly and helpful with our larger group (we had reserved 7 rooms in total). We will definitely come back to this hotel in the future whenever we are in the area based on our experience from our recent trip. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a very reasonably priced hotel room with wonderful service. read more

GOOD: The staff here are incredibly hard working and provide excellent service. The hot breakfast is wonderful and the location is excellent. BAD: The rooms are pet friendly, which is very bad for people with allergies. The room smelt stale and there is no way to get fresh air in the room as none of the windows open. The rooms are dated and the wear and tear is very visible from the curtains with holes in them to the stained couches. The lightbulbs are all orange and the popcorn ceilings are caked with dust. Recommend: If they renovated by ripping out the carpets, repainted everything white, got rid of the popcorn ceilings, and removed the room dividers they could charge triple. read more

30 years staying at this space....even before it was a Hyatt Place. I'm done. Staff seem to be following your rules to the law. It is the lack of hospitality - the little details that added up to a week's worth of poor experiences. This place is no longer a Positive representation of a Hyatt brand. 1. I gave you 5 days to solve a mini frig problem and your solution was to unplug it. Hotel was not full- why not change it out, knowing I had lots of stuff to keep cool. Offering to keep it downstairs is NOT a solution. Are they all broken in every room? 2. Big storm, everyone up ALL night with 80 m/hr winds, hail, debris hitting the windows....why not keep coffee going past 9am?! 3. Oh, the big coffee machine, the fancy Starbucks one behind the bar,,,that isn't working either?! 4. 1 elevator, 4 days. 5. Those 2 bottled waters I'm supposed to grab everyday with the awards package....case empty for 2 days. Other customers wanted to spend the $4 on sodas too, nope. The thing is...grocery store is walking distance...we solved it - but why upset several guests over undelivered hospitality. Too many other hotels in a 5 mile radius...the details matter! Don't do it. Just keep driving. Spend a few more dollars if you have to. So much to unpack here, so I'll just dive right in. After a long day at work, we left and drove in from out of state. During our trip, we hit some extreme weather (I'm talking missed a tornado by the skin of our teeth, hail, heavy rain). We check in after 10:30PM, load everything on a cart, and head up to the 6th floor. When we travel without the children, we book a king size bed-- we enjoy the extra space on these rare occasions, since we sleep in a queen size bed at home. We unlock room 611 and it's pitch black (generally the lamps are on or something). We stumble around for a light switch and find the king size mattress and box spring standing upright in the room. The bedding is wadded up in a pile on the bathroom floor. We were tired and frustrated. By the time we made it back to the lobby, a group of what I assume were a travel ball team, were lined up waiting to be checked in. After waiting in line, we still had to wait, since the gentleman assisting us was new and required further assistance to address our situation. Somehow they were "booked out" but found a room for us. A double-- two full sized beds. With an adjoining room. Much to our chagrin, our neighbors were enjoying loud TV. And the people across the hall had a very yappy little dog-- what a treat. While my husband showered, I went to work setting up his CPAP machine. The built in night stand had one of those cheesy extension cords dangling with the plug for the phone and alarm clock. I unhooked those items and was relieved his CPAP was a 2-prong and not a 3-prong. Then I brushed my teeth. While rinsing the sink, I noticed it wasn't draining-- why wouldn't it! The next morning, I was rather irritated I could not sleep in longer. The sun was pouring in to our room. I asked my husband if he'd opened the drapes or why he hadn't closed the blackout curtains behind them-- both layers were closed, but they were moth eaten and laser beams of sunshine were peeking through. With an early start to the day, we went down to address our room with management. We wanted the king size room we paid for or we wanted to check out and find somewhere else to stay. Ms. Shirley made it happen, finding an available room with a king size bed. But not before explaining to us that the original room we walked in to had actually been fumigated and should have never been marked as available, let alone provided a key for entry. I asked her about the electrical situation and showed her my photo. She said a guest must have plugged that in and housekeeping overlooked it, because that was not "the Hyatt Standard". While I waited in the lobby for the new room keys, I was surprised they didn't have coffee available to guests, shortly past breakfast hours. Arturo to the rescue- he had some left over and gave me a cup. Afterwards, I moved our belongings to the third and final destination during this stay, where I found 2 more cheesy extension cords-- one on each side of the bed, dangling from the built in nightstands. Oh boy! Someone else must have been so lucky to stay in multiple rooms, like us, and just so happened to have a bunch of these extension cords on hand. Or, this was just the Dallas/Plano Hyatt Place standard! Based on the fact the sinks from our 2nd and 3rd rooms also had mixed sink and plumbing hardware, I'm going to assume it's the latter. Since hubs had to fast, we hung out in our hotel room. We were in for another treat, since the television had basic cable and the channel we finally decided to watch (A&E, I believe), wasn't working all that well. I never realized how spoiled by a smart TV or on-demand television I was until this moment. But! If for some reason you're in to early 2000's relics, you will enjoy the assorted cable connection built in to the TV stand! Not sure what you'd use that many cable adapters for, but maybe you could program a space ship from all those gadgets. The bathroom was cramped-- if you were on the toilet, you either had to plan ahead and close the door or you had to use the bathroom with the door open. The lamps did not have their own individual switches, they were powered by the overhead light switch. The next morning, we experienced another set of moth eaten curtains that woke us up bright and early. It was 6am-- we decided we'd eat breakfast and head home-- this place made me more home sick than I've ever been. Saturday breakfast is not served until 7am. Surprisingly, Arturo's breakfast was the most pleasant part of our stay and worth the wait. Long story short-- we will likely have to stay in this area again and will absolutely find somewhere else to lay our heads. read more

Not bad.....but could be a WHOLE lot better. Room is very dated and bathroom is incredibly small. At times, you may need to walk out to be able to turn around instead of being able to in the bathroom. No water pressure in shower and hot water was questionable at night AND in the morning. Queen bed and a full size pullout couch. Noise from interstate was bad at night, good luck getting good sleep. BRING a noise machine. Coffee would have been nice other than during a shortened breakfast time. Lighting in the parking lot is virtually non existent on the front side and only two good lights in back parking lot. read more

Based making my reservation on this hotel saying they had a pool and on-site food. Well, the pool has been closed since we got here and being told they have no idea when it will open?? When I asked about ordering food I was told they only offer food for breakfast for 3 hours in the mornings. I said well you have posters all over the hotel raving about your incredible on-site food choices? I was told they are not set up yet to offer food? Are you kidding me? This is the second time I have stayed here on a business trip. It is in a great location with walking distance to restaurants, a grocery store, starbucks, and several other places. There are also sidewalks so you can walk or run along the road while you are there. The rooms are very clean and thats really all Im looking for when I go to a hotel. They have a hot breakfast every morning with a lot of variety. I brought my swimsuit to use the pool but its not heated so that didn't end up happening. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The only reason why I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because someone left their breakfast plate outside my door and it was still there 24 hrs later. No one had picked it up and I wasn't touching it because it wasn't mine. Besides that I would stay here again. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. When we walked in the manager "Fez" was yelling at someone on the phone. That should have been a warning for us. At the start our stay was ok. Typical older Hyatt Place with worn carpet and furnishings. But when we tried to extend our stay things got weird. We booked an extension through Hyatt and called the front desk at 9 AM and talked to "M*****" to notify them. We asked for the stay to be rolled together because there is currently a 3x bonus points promotion through Hyatt for more than 2 consecutive nights. This is not an unusual request and we have done it many times. We were informed that we had been checked out of our room and they wouldn't combine the stays. We went down to talk to "Fez" and he told us rudely that because we had checked out he wouldn't do it. We hadn't checked ourselves out but he insisted we had and he wouldn't do the extension and it had to be treated as a new reservation. We explained that it wasn't hard to combine the reservations and that we'd have Hyatt contact him on how to do that. He said he would NOT combine the stays and he was "accommodating " us with the extension. Umm... no. I have a reservation there is no "accommodating". The attitude was rude and abusive and we decided we wanted to stay elsewhere. That is when things really went off the rails. He didn't want to give us a new key to go get our things and threatened to call the police when my husband took a photo of him. We deleted the photo and asked to get our things. He didn't seem like he was going to allow us back into the room until I said I would be calling the police and Hyatt Concierge. We had to have the other desk clerk go with us to let us back in the room so we could get our belongings because he refused to give us a new key. When we finished we returned to the front desk to ask Fez his full name. The other clerk Melvin said he didn't know what his boss' last name was so I'm guessing his name isn't even Fez. We have been Hyatt Globalist for years 114 stays in Hyatt properties so far this year. This is not normal or acceptable behavior for a manager on duty. "Fez" has no clue how to deal with guests. read more

Hospitality is number 1 at this Hyatt Place. I called before my arrival and requested a quiet room away from the highway. I heard that traffic noise may be an issue. Upon arrival they did have my request and promptly gave me my room. When I opened my room door the overwhelming smoke odor hit me. There was a manager and housekeeper on the floor that I called to confirm that a room was indeed smokey and was advise to return to the front desk for a new room. The front desk was apologetic and assign me another room. This room was on a higher floor, away from the highway and elevators. The showers seems to take two whole minutes to warm up. I waste of water by California standards. Turn fully to the hot position and wait for the water to warm... Then you're set. The breakfast here consist of 3 types of pre-made breakfast sandwiches warming on skillets. There are assortments of breads, begals, & spreads. There is also oatmeal and cottage cheese and fresh fruit. Of course there is coffee and juices to choose from. There is a room single cup coffee maker and mini fridge. I ate out and brought my leftovers back to my room and saved in the fridge. The next day, I brought my leftover to the lobby and the front desk was happy to microwave my meal. There is a business center near the front desk to allow you to check in and print out your airline boarding passes. This hotel has everything you need. If you need anything, there is a Tom Thumb next door for your grocery or pharmacy needs. Great hotel staff and amenities. read more

If I had the option to give 10 stars I would. Honestly, (aside from the bed) this was the best hotel experience, granted this may be slightly biased as my company utilizes this hotel extremely frequently for their training so we may get extra special treatment but something tells me the hospitality and above-and-beyond customer service were the norm. Here's an example of the superior service I received. In a frantic rush to get everything packed, I forgot my cell phone charger back in Orlando. Now I'm not sure about you but I haven't been to a hotel before that actually has phone chargers available to borrow. So not only did they have a phone charger but this awesome employee (and I wish I took down her name so I could give her a shout out) looked for 20 minutes to find one to fit my exact phone model. How awesome is that! Not only was it great customer service but it saved me the $20 to go purchase a new one that I would have only needed for a week. Honestly, every employee that works there was very engaging, nice and exceptional. And the rooms were killer. I had not only the typical bed and desk but I also had a wet bar with sink and mini-fridge. Plus, a large L-shaped couch complete with ottoman. And the tv swiveled between the bed and couch. Check out the pics. See for yourself. This place rocks! I'd go back and visit in a heartbeat. My only complaint: the bed wasn't as comfy as I imagined it would. Staff was AWESOME Showed up on a rainy night late thinking I had booked points. No reservation on file, but the staff was calm and cool (unlike me). They helped me book with pointed by phone and gave me a great room!! They saved the night. Luckily there was a room available. Room was great - but again the bathroom was a bit small. They allowed us to have an early check in and treated us very nicely during our stay. The rooms are very clean and much bigger than you would expect for a hotel. I will definitely come back.They have a full sized couch in my room which was nice. I came for work and had to check in early and they were so nice and waived the check in fee. I would recommend this hotel, this has been nicer than some hiltons i've stayed at. they did come "clean" my room on my second day which is tidying up it's not cleaning the room. I.e. I was really hopeful about this hotel based on the reviews that I've read on trip advisor, yelp, and through the Hyatt website. However, I will not stay at this location again. Lobby The lobby was not very clean. There's a little nook with a tv and a few arm chairs and it's just filthy. The chairs and the table are covered in stains and looks like toddlers had run around wiping their hands on everything. I'm hesitant to even eat the complimentary breakfast tomorrow because I'm not sure how sanitary the area will be. Also, the hotel wasn't clear if there are any gluten free breakfast options. They did keep saying they had almond milk but I think they're confusing celiac with lactose intolerance. Service We checked into our room at about 5pm and despite the busy crowd the employees were very friendly. However, when we got to our room my boyfriend wanted to take a quick shower to freshen up after our drive (it was 106 today, ugh). The water pressure was terrible. He decided to wait a few minutes and try again only to find out there was NO water. We called the front desk and they informed us that the water had been shut off and should be back on in a few HOURS. They could have easily let us know this upon check in and, honestly, I probably would have went to a different hotel. Room The room was standard and seemed clean enough. The layout was fine, however, their is a sink area separate from the commode and shower (which is in a pretty compact room). This is great for 2 people who want to shower and get ready in the morning without occupying the same bathroom but it's terrible when someone is in bed still (or already) and the other person would like to brush their teeth/do makeup/etc. because the sink area is right in front of the bed. Bed The bed appears to be comfortable but the sheets are a bit rough. I was disappointed that we only had 4 pillows on a king bed as most hotels provide 6. Gym Decent facility, a few treadmills, a recumbent bike, and some free weights. It was pretty dang hot in there though (even before working out). They did provide individual, sealed, headphones. Overall I gave this hotel a poor rating because it was a bit unkept, staff weren't knowledgeable about the maintenance at their property (having no water for hours), and weren't able to provide allergen information for their breakfast. Also, there was no microwave in the room. I will say that their wifi has been wonderful. I've been streaming netflix for hours while I work on my laptop. read more

The people were friendly but not a lot of them could speak English over all this is a nice place but I will not be coming a again to any of the Hyatt Place Hotel because there was NO microwave, a fridge but know Microwave, which don't make sense, if you wanted to rewarm your food or coffee its out of the questions to set down and maybe warm your leftovers would be nice. They don't care about the comforts away from home. If they are too cheap to put a microwave then they can do a service charge to get one for your room for that reason a long they are losing customers. You can bet, I am not the only one that feels this way. There was six in my party and we are all disappointment and not coming to any Hyatt any more. We came here for a long weekend staycation because I had some Hyatt points that were about to expire. We thought this hotel was great! There were some reviews that seemed to think that being located in the suburbs, it wasn't ideal but for a family like ours, we thought it was perfect. It was easy to drive to Eatzi's for a snack and swing by Fat Straws for some drinks. Cinemark movie theater is also nearby. Nice quaint hotel that gives free breakfast! The hotel rooms are very spacious and have a sofa bed (couch) and desk area, fridge, double sinks and a closet. It was very modern and very clean. I liked how they delivered newspapers in the morning on your front door.You can't go wrong with free breakfast! The staff is also really nice and really accommodating. I was in town for business and nothing but great things to say. The room was excellent, perfect size for just one person, the staff was very welcoming at all times. Bartenders were excellent and they even offered a shuttle if you needed to go to a restaurant within a reasonable distance. A small negative was a funny joke amongst my co workers where the pillows 'appear' to be small, sqauere sized ones. Well it took some of us a day or to to realize you need to 'unfold' or stretch out the pillows to get the full effect of the pillow! So just make sure you unfold your pillows other than that, I give them a total thumbs up! read more

There are few things I look forward to about staying in a hotel. Honestly, I just enjoy the comfort of my own bed, my own shower, my own space. But when it comes to hotels, I do enjoy having someone else clean up after me and I always look forward to big beds, soft towels, and fun toiletries. At this Hyatt Place location, the staff is extremely accommodating - they even turned off my curling iron once I realized I had left it on, but was already too far gone to come back myself. Besides that, if we weren't part of a larger group that was staying there, we might have looked elsewhere. The towels were super scratchy. Like unpleasant to dry yourself off with. Also, the closet is tiny and when you're part of a wedding, you need lots of room to hang your weekend wardrobe. Also the bathroom was pretty cramped. You had to go in, then turn around and shut the door just to use the toilet. Bed was about three star comfort level, definitely nothing special. The breakfast is perfectly suitable for a complimentary morning buffet, and they stayed open pretty late (till 10am) for late risers like myself. I'd say if you find yourself in the area and need an affordable yet non-sketchy option, Hyatt Place definitely fits the bill, just don't expect any fluff. read more

We have enjoyed staying at the Hyatt in Plano and would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a nice, inexpensive place to stay in the DFW area. My wife and I came into town for her work conference and I tagged along because I LOVE the great state of Texas. We are both from California so we are used to people being short and unwilling to put the customer first, but open entering the Hyatt Place in Plano, we have been treated with overwhelming generosity and kindness. The management and team went out of there way to make sure my wife and my 7 night stay was completely comfortable. The hotel throws in a free breakfast which was a nice change from the typical continental breakfasts offered at hotels. They have different items on the menu depending on the day of the week so even if you are staying here multiple days, you won't get tired of the same thing. They have accommodations such as free parking and wait for it, FREE WIFI! The WIFI has been fast enough for me to work from the desk in the hotel room for multiple days and not have any issues with the internet being slow (definitely a plus). We have also been able to stream netflix without any bandwidth issues. They have TVs that come with a separate console that allows for VGA, HDMI, YGW connections, and audio 3.5m connections. We stayed in 2 different rooms over the 7 nights of our stay and both of the rooms have a very big L-Shaped couch/lounge area that is separate from the sleeping area (there's a divider in between for privacy) to where my wife was able to watch TV and I was able to get work done in the same room very comfortably. All of that to say, go stay here, you won't be disappointed! read more

We frequent Hyatt Place hotels because we travel with 3 young children. The buffet breakfast makes mornings easy. The hotels have been very standard around the country. The pool (outside) is cool but the kids aren't minding that in May. The lobby is kept clean. Our room was clean. We love the pullout they all have and wish they had 2 queens. No tub in regular king rooms FYI. The staff has been friendly and helpful. One morning they were overwhelmed at breakfasts with a team but it doesn't seem like that's a daily issue for them. It's not a 5-star place but many 5-star locations are not this comfortable with little kids so that's why we use hyatt place I family vacations. read more

Wow! What a great find!! The rooms were clean and quiet plus the price was very reasonable. Staff was friendly and helpful. But the best part was the breakfast - oh the breakfast! I have never seen a hotel breakfast like this one. Eggs, sausage, cereal, breads, fruit - these are common items seen on a hotel breakfast bar. But this place went above and beyond with delicious potatoes and stir-fried veggies! The food was amazing and it was very apparent that the friendly host prepping the breakfast bar took great pride in his work. Great job to the staff! read more

We stayed at the Hyatt Place Plano with our family this weekend. While the hotel seemed ok, we had ANTS in our room that kept coming up through the sink! I even took pictures to show management. We had no food in our room, but ants kept coming in! Also, we stayed 2 nights and they didn't change our sheets, clean our room or being fresh towels! Disappointing and we won't be back. read more

I'm not sure how long this hotel has been here, but it seems very new. Front lobby, room, and even stairwells are very clean. Breakfast was typical 'free' breakfast with goofy eggs and frozen pancakes but that's okay for this price. WiFi is fast and free. Highly recommend. Would get 5th star if queen size beds, but I'm a big guy. That may not matter to others read more

Every year I visit Plano for a meeting. Normally I stay at the Marriott but needed a change and so I booked Hyatt. The rooms are updated and newish-looking. There's a separate area with a couch and living area. The hotel is right across from the highway and can be very noisy. The first night it kept me up, the second night it didn't bother me because I was so exhausted. The employees were nice enough but looked unkempt. I like that they have complimentary breakfast with yogurt, fruit, cereals and breakfast sandwiches. Nice touch. I'm not totally certain I would stay here again. If I do, I will ask for a room on the other side of the building, further away from the highway. read more

If they are not cleaning my room for the past 3 days doesn't that means they check me in to a dirty room ? ( if get sick in the coming days I will take it legally) Worse quality ever: They don't clean bath and shower They don't change towels I had to use small towns after shower Thank god I have my own shampoo and soap, since I checked-in(5days ago) they don't clean room regularly (are they waiting for my permission? Im here on a business trip for few days. The staff are very friendly and courteous. I am aware that I can be very needy as far as amenities and the facility is concerned. Having an accessible gym in the hotel is a major plus for gymrats like me.However,this hotel has a room they call "Fitness center" that has 2 treadmills and a bicycle.PERIOD.WHAT??NO IRON TO PUMP???IS THIS A JOKE OR A NIGHTMARE?? I have expressed my concern about that and they immediately gave me forms to fill up and informed me that they are connected to another gym facility closeby. Whew, I thought its the end of the world! My tight schedule wont allow me to travel far from the hotel so it is important that my happy place is close by. I was shuttled to and from the gym every night.It is 5 mins away.The driver is very very kind and friendly! He almost became my personal chauffeur everynight. My room is cleaned up daily and I come back to a fresh room. They also place my tiger on my pillows everyday when they fix my bed! Breakfast is the same everyday. Im not really supposed to eat high fat food so I cannot really speak for that. I wish they have plain egg whites and the oatmeal should not be overcooked. This is my first time in Plano and they told me,yes ,Im still within United States. Lol. Not used to all these space and trees,no color,no body of water. My week long stay went by easier,thanks to the staff. Thank you.Stay wonderful and smile always. read more
