My coworkers and I stayed here while we were in town for a conference. I can't recall having stayed in a Hyatt Place before, but now I'll definitely look out for them in the future! It started off strong with a very clean, modern, well-decorated lobby that looked like it would belong to a more expensive hotel. The staff was friendly and gave me a toothbrush since I forgot mine. The rooms were very nice, and the breakfast was by far one of the best complimentary hotel breakfasts I've ever had. They also have a coffee bar at the main desk where you can get speciality lattes, cappuccinos etc for a fee, which they can charge to the room. They also have huge cookies at the coffee bar, which my coworkers really enjoyed. Overall it exceeded expectations: clean facilities, friendly staff, and excellent service. read more

I'm 60/40 on the service . The lady that checked us in the night of (08/08/2026) was amazing bright smile, very welcoming, ready to check us in, amazing personality. We had a 6 hour drive and I had to go the restroom and she patiently waited to check us in with a smile on her face. Also, was very nice and checked in my dogs as well and put them in the system. I went for a long walk the next morning (8/9/2026) and coming back, my mobile key was not working on my phone. I went to the front desk and told a new lady that my phone was not working and was not able to get in my room. It just felt like I was bothering her, she was watching a movie in her phone. I was even very nice to her and was the one that acknowledge her presence and greeted her. She then asked in a very accusatory aggressive manner if I divulge at the front desk that I had pets when I checked in before looking at portfolio if it was entered. After she looked, she said they only entered 1 day (maybe because I have been in the place for 1 day?) in a scolding manner like I entered the information. Maybe I was making her miss a good part of the show or movie she was watching. Something to probably improve in is the mobile key, I've been staying at a bunch of Hyatt properties and seems like it's been a hit or miss. Infested with German cockroaches!!! EWWWW! I never write reviews, but I always read them before booking, and wish someone had posted a recent review to let me know - obviously, they have a big problem that has been that way for a while. You can smell the pheromones they emit, and the staff confirmed that they spray for them weekly. I stayed on the 3rd floor and ended up checking out early. Had no idea they were cockroaches when I 1st saw one (I had bought a slice of cake at the grocery store and one crawled into the container - ewwww!) Reported it to the front desk, who said bugs were to be expected in that area because it was humid and had been pouring rain. If I'd known what they were, I would have left immediately. They did know, though, and didn't even offer to move my room. On different days, I saw a couple in the tub, one on the bathroom vanity (and the pest control websites say they LOVE toothpaste and seek out your tooth brushes - EWWWW!), one zoomed across the desk etc. I was finally able to catch one, throw it in the toilet, and Google Lens identified it as a German cockroach. Only an inch or so long, they are very prolific breeders, known for hitchhiking home with you in your luggage. I lay awake all night with all the lights on and checked out first thing the next morning. The manager was not available, and the desk clerk (who was very nice) was not empowered to provide a discount or remove any of the charges. She confirmed that they had a roach issue (possibly due to construction or something else), and they were spraying every other week. I asked for the manager to call me. He did not. 2 days later, I called him. He apologized (he was also very nice) and said they were aware of the issue, explaining that they were under construction and spraying every week. I ended up having my clothing sprayed for bugs and shipped home, and I threw away my luggage. My boxes of clothes are in my garage, quarantined, and I still have the very itchy "roach rash" from coming into contact with whatever it is they leave behind. The Hyatt corporate office felt that refunding the room charge for the last night I stayed awake watching for bugs was "fair compensation". Beware that if you do stay and don't take precautions, you may unknowingly bring home more than you left with. read more

Only time I've ever gone out this direction was to visit my God family out in lawrenceville. I literally knew nothing of the area. But what I can tell you is that it is a dominant Eastern Asian neighborhood with tons of Eastern Asian restaurants! And yes they have your stereotypical McDonald's and IHOP and boring tasteless food restaurants! But I have got to come back and try some of the Southeastern Asian Cuisines that I saw! I mean they have from Saskatchewan to Cantonese to Mongolian! Like the real deal stuff too! As well as a Kroger's and I believe it was a Walgreens right down the street! The hotel is nice and my dog stayed as well. I was there to visit my God family due to a health scare. So I was not there for the New Year's Eve festivities. Oddly though, the hotel was super quiet! And the rooms legitimately heat up to a nice 80°! So next time I come to visit my God family this will be my stay place! Sorry even though they have one of those huge three story homes, I like having my own room and being able to keep the heat up high! Which again.. their heat went to 80 and stayed warm the entire time! So grateful! The staff was super nice and informative. Then they have free water. I didn't eat the breakfast of course that they have there but it's free if you're interested. All in all this is a really nice hotel for what I paid! Only $86 a night! I just wish the Hyatt Place downtown was this nice! The staff again super friendly and broke down everything you needed to know about check out and the deposit. Hotel was very clean. Hotel was Alright. They failed to make up our room 1 day of 3. It does have a bar. Showing signs of aging but not in a good way. We chose it for location, and it was okay. Breakfast hours were confusing and not friendly to those on West coast time. They did help out with some stale cornbread and a banana when I was begging for some leftover food. They advertised bacon on the bar but it was missing the 3 days I stayed. Just burnt frozen sausage. Did like the HD Direct Tv in the room. read more

I've stayed in a number of Hyatt Places that I really liked, so when I was looking for a hotel near a wedding reception I was going to attend I jumped on Hyatt Place Johns Creek. Good price not too far. And I knew what to expect. Or I thought I did. This HP just flat out needs maintenance. It's very popular. Lots of family groups on the Saturday night I was there. But the success is giving HP a bit of a shopworn look. Little things are missing from a door knob here, a piece of furniture there, the carpet over by the wall, etc. And my major complaint was the a/c which could not be controlled. At 71 degrees it was on full blast -- noisily blowing out really cold air. At 72 it just stopped and never kicked back in. In short the thermostat was not working. I mentioned it to the desk as I left for the wedding. When I returned five hours later the room was an icebox. The maintenance engineer had simply lowered the setting to 71. I guess that was to be expected: I had explained the issue to the desk clerk who in turn explained it to the engineer who must have thought the room wasn't cool enough. Bottom line: I was a fan of the Hyatt Place brand. Now I'm not so sure. read more

I arrived from Mn at 1AM. The staff greeted me warmly and speedily checked me in to my room and asked if I wanted a wake up call. I got up at 5:30am to go for a run and they made me a 4x express for free at the bar. Talk about over the top customer service. The guy at the front even told me where to go for a run. They have a nice path out back with a pond. There is also a pool on site as well as light workout gear. The breakfast food was great but gets super busy by 7:20am so go early. The rooms were very clean and quiet. I did not get woken up one time by loud guests. This is a very nice business friendly hotel. read more

Pro's: +Location- It is conventionally located near a nice selection of restaurants +Staff- The staff is some of the nicest and most helpful that you can find. +Shuttle Service - They offer a van that can take you to restaurants and businesses within the surrounding area. +Hotel Room Layout- As a business traveler, I love the fact that it feels like you have a separate sleeping area and work/sitting area. +Food/Drinks- They have added some spirits to the drink menu, which also includes beer and wine. They do have a nice selection of Eats on their menu and do label them as vegan and gluten free (sadly they only have two options for this, which are salads). They do list the calorie content next to the food so you can either feel good about your salad or guilty about that cookie that you ate. +Wifi- It's free. +Lobby area- It has some comfortable seating areas in which you can meet up with coworkers to either sit at or continue to work at. +The shower head height- It was thankfully taller than many other hotels that I have stayed in. I appreciate the fact that I don't have to duck to take a shower. +They have an actual full sized hair dyer in the room. +The room included a refrigerator Cons: - Wifi- the connection can be iffy at times and tends to drop or is slow when you need it. I would make sure you have a backup if you really need to use the it. -TV- The analog channels worked fine, but the digital channels seemed to lose connection or have a really bad display at times -The Heater- There is no automatic temperature control so you either leave it on or off and it is loud. -The length of the bed- It just seems short. For some reason it seems like my feet were always hanging off the bed if I were to lay on it. -The light/fan in the bathroom- The light and the fan are one switch in the bathroom and that fan is loud. - There was no microwave in the room; however, they do have one down in the lobby area in the kitchen area at night, but in the morning during breakfast time, they have it in the back, but they will warm up your food for you. read more

Very reasonable accommodations for what you pay for. I'm a big fan of renovated hotels since you get fresh carpet, furniture, and decorations that don't make you feel like you're stuck in a late 80's black hole. It looks like this was remodeled in within the last year. Noise was rarely an issue. The area is very peaceful in the evening and felt like I was able to get uninterrupted sleep. My advice? Try to request a room further from the elevator for minimal noise. My room was the standard dual queen located a few doors away from the elevator on the 2nd floor. There were definitely times I could hear it running up and down during the daytime, but it either A.) Rarely ran in the evening, or B.) never work me up when sleeping. The layout is spacious too. You get a nice "living room" area with a loveseat, ottoman, and a countertop with a fridge for storage. I have no idea there's a sink there when the bathroom sink is just mere steps away...but it's an added bonus. The bathrooms are on the small side, and the door knob backing was loose in both my co-worker's restroom and mine (doesn't affect anything though, see picture). Other than that, perfectly clean and well presented.The USB ports were useful for recharging cell phones and tablets also. I liked the variety of options during continental breakfast. What really shines here is the customer service. All of the front desk employees were cheerful and always seemed eager to help with your needs. We were especially thankful to have Tarold around. His restaurant and entertainment suggestions really made our stay in Duluth a positive one, and he always seemed genuinely interested in hearing about about our day each time we arrived in the evening. It definitely made us feel like we chose the best option for our business trip! read more

After reading Yelp reviews about this hotel for a company business trip I was quite worried. However, it seems like they have recently had renovations and the hotel looks great. From the moment we walked in, the staff was very accommodating. Every time we left and came back they'd greet us with a welcome back sir/ma'am and ask us if we'd need anything and how our stay was going. I had forgotten a few toiletries at home and they made sure that I had everything I needed. The room itself was very spacious and modern. They had a huge TV and very comfortable bed. The room even had a pullout sleeper sofa and a desk in case you need to do any business/work. My favorite part of the room had to be the bathroom. I am a big fan of a nice bathroom in hotel rooms and this one didn't disappoint. When we do business in the Duluth area again we will definitely stay here again. read more

This is a pretty standard Hyatt Place hotel. Expect to pay $100-120/night for a room that is usually just fine. I stay here somewhat frequently because I live outside Atlanta but do business in the Johns Creek Technology Park. Here's the issue, and the reason for the 1-star review. This place is RUN DOWN. It hasn't been renovated in the 12 or so years it's been open. The rooms STINK. I've stayed in several that had this issue... Not just once. Air quality is poor - no thermostat - in-wall air control units. Carpet & details are falling apart (see photo). And for what it's worth, during my last stay, the water in the shower had 2 temperature options: freezing or scalding hot. No in between. There is a Hilton Garden Inn within a quarter mile of this place. Do yourself a favor & stay there. read more

Had the pleasure of staying at this hotel during a wedding weekend. We encountered two issues initially but the hostess fixed the issues quickly when it came to a cold shower and a rogue stink bug in our window. After we switched rooms everything was a little better. Housekeeping didn't change out our sheets during our stay. Breakfast is top notch. The elevator is very slow and sometimes you have to press the button twice for the door to open. read more

The staff here is amazing! Unbelievably friendly, helpful and beautiful. Samantha helped and brewed tea for me at 3am. Additionally, I was working past 1am one night and I watched her stop patrons that were headed up to their room because there had been an issue with many people's keys getting demagnetized. Instead of letting them go up to their room to try the keys, she asked them to stop so she could rekey them before they had to go up and come back down. Terri was incredible. We were a large group coming all under different reservations. She checked us all in early because they had availability and let us get some sleep after a rough red-eye flight. She was gracious and a wonderful host. Every staff member we interacted with was amazing. The breakfast was really really great! I stayed here about 4 nights with a friend whom was there for business. They have a bar on the main floor and room service. The pool is outside, it wasn't cold, it was nice and warm on a cold night. If you go on the side of the pool and follow the sidewalk, it loops around a little loop walkway around a pond with some benches. The room we had, had a mini fridge, but sadly no microwave which would have been nice. By the mini fridge there is a random sink. It was kind of split where there is a half wall between the bed and a couch in the front part. A good size tv also. read more

My husband and I stayed at this property for a business retreat. The staff was really friendly, juggling front desk, barista/bartender , and chef. I arrived really late and requested a late check-out to finish my work in the morning. Even though the hotel was not full, they refused me an 1-hour late check-out. I frequently work from hotels before jumping on a plane. I has to sit in the parking lot and take my conference call. This was the only time I ever booked at Hyatt Place. Hotels that cater to business travelers should all take a look at this Hyatt Place. Apparently they underwent a multimillion dollar renovation a few years back and it shows. I love that they have spacious suites instead of rooms. The suites are tastefully decorated in a modern way with clean lines and earth tones. The flat screen is giant too! Free wireless in the rooms with a decent connection. The bathroom was small but I appreciated the ionic hairdryers and counter space in the vanity area. Breakfast is complementary every day and features segmented pink grapefruit, fruit salad, oatmeal packets, 5 types of serve yourself cereal, yogurt, different breads and bagels for the conveyor belt toaster, mini muffins and donuts. I like that they offer real honey and peanut butter in the jam assortment basket. Tazo teas, juice, and coffee round it out. Front desk is really friendly and showed me around after I checked in. They were also able to add a corporate rate to my room as I was checking out without a hassle. The gym is just 3-4 cardio machines. It would be nice if they could add a mirror to the wall and some free weights. I do appreciate that there's a thermostat in the gym so you can crank the a.c. when you're running though. I stayed here because I was in town for a wedding, and this hotel was the closest to the St. Ives Country Club where the reception was held. Check-in on a Friday afternoon was quick and painless. Our room on the second floor was nice, almost like a "mini-suite". The bed was in one part of the room, and a sitting area with a couch, desk, and wet bar was on the other end, somewhat divided by a 1/2 wall. I liked the arrangement because I could sit at the desk and use my laptop without disturbing my wife who went to bed earlier than I did. I also liked the walk in shower. Most hotels have the traditional tub-shower with a flimsy curtain that billows around you, a a walk-in shower with doors was a pleasant surprise! Another VERY pleasant surprise was the walking path! The hotel is in an office park, and many of the buildings, including this hotel are on a small lake, and there's a paved path around the lake, prefect for a stroll or a run. I'd guess maybe 3/4 of a mile, mostly shaded. We took advantage of the free breakfast both days. Breakfast was the usual scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles or pancakes, toast, bagels, cereal, fresh fruit, juices, etc. I was impressed that the coffee was in a slightly different area, and was made before the breakfast was ready. Some previous reviewers have criticized the breakfast selections, but to me (typical breakfast=coffee, peanut butter toast, 1/2 banana), the hotel did a very good job feeding hundreds of people in a timely manner. There's also a small bar with a limited selection of drinks and bar food right off the lobby. EVERY employee I spoke too was nice, especially the early-shift woman who I briefly chatted with at 6 AM when I was thrilled to find coffee already made. The only thing that detracted from our experience were some of the other guests, and that's something that the hotel management cannot do anything about. The weekend we were there was the same weekend as one or two youth athletic events, so there were at least three athletic teams staying at this hotel. As you'd expect, having three teams of hungry youngsters at the breakfast area would be a challenge, but the problem, as I saw it, was that the chaperones did a lousy job supervising, instead allowing the youth to grab huge amounts of food, only to throw much of it away. Indeed, I overheard one of the chaperones say "I don't care how much they take, I ain't payin' for it!" The chaperones also didn't enforce "quiet hours", and allowed their team members to run around the halls yelling (obviously having fun, but there's a time and place for everything, and 11:00 PM at night is NOT the time to run up and down the halls of a hotel) Aside from the objectionable behavior of some of the guests, and the "who gives a damn" attitude of the chaperones, a good place to stay! read more

I really like the lobby/lounge area. It was very comfortable and nice. Staff seemed to be very friendly. The room was very nice. 50" flat screen tv and a huge love seat that could hold 6 people. I had an issue with the tv not getting signal but I think there was a wire loose in the back of the tv. There was tons of mirrors in the room which was funny to me b/c it reminded me of a honey-moon room. Room/bathroom was very clean. There was plenty of parking. Tons of room. If you have a nice car that don't want it dinged up, this hotel parking is for you. For the price, it def. was very nice. I def. would stay there again. read more

Love this place. Every one of the staff is friendly. I noticed each one of them make efforts to engage the guests in personal conversation. You might mention to them what you are heading out to do in the morning and they would ask you how it went. They were extremely helpful too. It's a very new and clean building. First and foremost, this location is a hidden gem. Beautiful and serene and huge property with a pond and gazebo! So, me and my now husband were originally going to get married on a private boat on Lake Lanier, but the plans fell through literally days before our wedding. So my husband called literally EVERY single venue in the state of Georgia with hopes on securing the perfect place to have our very small and intimate ceremony. As soon as we wanted to give up and just have our wedding in our backyard, my husband found Hyatt Johns Creek. AND they had availability. He visited and LOVED it. It was the perfect place to say our vows. We had our wedding at Hyatt Place Johns Creek 8/18/18 and it was my dream wedding come true! Who would of ever thought having a wedding at a hotel would be nice... well I never thought so, but now I'm recommending all to the Hyatt Johns Creek for any special ceremony or event. It is BEAUTIFUL. The pictures came out PERFECT and the staff even set up our space reserved for our wedding. All of our guests were highly impressed. It was very inexpensive as we were on a STRICT budget. This is the place to have your wedding on a budget or not!!!! Pictures by the pond and the gazebo made it look like our wedding was at a premier resort overseas and it definitely felt like it. My guests even stayed over night because a discount was offered for the wedding party and guests which was awesome, especially for my guests traveling out of town. Great experience at Hyatt Place! I booked this hotel for 2 nights when my family and I were staying in Atlanta. We decided to stay in Johns Creek because traffic downtown was too horrendous. I was afraid that the rooms might have been too small, but we found out that they were very spacious and we did not feel cramped at all. The hotel is decorated in a very modern style. Breakfast was simple, and if you wanted a hot breakfast, then all you had to do was order on the touch screen monitor in the lobby. The front desk was very courteous and helpful. Rates were super reasonable also. I probably will be back next time I visit Atlanta. read more

This hotel fails on many levels! Upon arrival we were told our reservation was cancelled.and they had no availability. The women at the front desk didn't even ask if she could assist with other accommodations just left the area and got on the phone..... after an amazing experience with their central reservations customer service line we were given a room within 20 min. If you book your room through them your guaranteed a room accommodating your entire party at the same rate quoted. According to them Simone at hotel cancelled our reservations but didn't generate an email receipt informing us. Other areas of service rating this hotel poor include: 1. that specific front desk person continuously was found discussing the situation with other employees every time we saw her 2. Manager constantly sitting in lobby watching soccer games 3. No pool towels and when guest requested them some received bath size towels and others HAND towels 4. Fire alarm went off in middle of night, it was turned off immediately but with no communication to the guest on our floor. Many were heading down stairs to find out it was a false alarm. Some said an attendant came up on elevator and said go back to your room but only a few saw him 5. Overall I would say only half the employees we said hello To even responded. Lucky for-this hotel To have them or I can only imagine how bad service would be. This is a great area to visit and every restaurant, store and attractions we went to we experienced exceptional service and hospitality, I will definitely find alternative accommodations for lodging next trip!! read more

Friendly staff,clean rooms. Got offered a free drink for not having a room with two qeen beds, but we only needed a king. I didnt get my drink, next time. The gym was closed due to renovation but we got plenty of exercise from visiting stone mountain about 45 minuted away read more

Racist desk clerk. I got up early for a bike ride. My girlfriend got up later and went to the front desk for breakfast but forgot her key. She asked the front desk clerk if she could let her in to our room. She refused because her last name did not match mine. The desk clerk told her she was afraid she was just there to catch her husband cheating on her and she did not want to get fired. She must have thought my girlfriend was a Mexican that just walked in off the street. She is Peruvian and I am white. The desk clerk was a black female. Even after the shuttle driver and the house keeping folks vouched for her she still would not let her in. Finally, one of the house keeping ladies let her in. When I got back I was not happy with the way she was treated. No one in management addressed the issue. I will not be staying this Hyatt ever again. Do not stay here unless you are black. read more

Sorry for the late post but this is in reference to our last stay at Hyatt Place Atlanta, Duluth Johns Creek from July 26-30, 2018. This was our 2nd Annual Golf trip to the Atlanta, Ga area, in which we stayed at this very same hotel. We elected to return here because management and the staff both displayed exceptional customer service during our past visit. Needless to say, that wasn't the case this time, the hotel was under a new general manager (Mr. Wayne Cannon) whom had to be the RUDEST person I met in the customer service business in a very long time. I watch him talk down to the customer that was inline before me (she was only asking about the A/C), he was beyond rude, patronizing and very condescending. I watch him while he was on the phone with our group coordinator, who was trying to explain to Mr. Cannon how the reservation was book (Mr. Wayne Cannon, the General Manager actually held the phone away from his face as though we were wasting his time (in which he did this like I wasn't standing there). Every time one of our members call asking for anything, the answer was never yes or we'll see what we can do (it was always a smart dismissive comment). After finally checking in, our room balances for all members were paid upfront before we went to our rooms and we occurred no additional charges prior to checkout, which should have been (a zero-balance due at checkout). Unfortunately, on the day of checkout there was at least five members who received charges to their credit card for the cost of the room which had already been paid. So, thanks to Mr. Wayne Cannon your General Manager at Hyatt Place Atlanta, Duluth Johns Creek our visit was quite upsetting, and our members have elected not to return next year. This was the poorest demonstration of hospitality and customer service we have experience in our travels. read more

The hotel was very poorly staffed when I went to visit earlier this month. There was no real personalization with any of the interactions I had with the employees. Housekeeping did not service my room when I requested and maintenance never came to fix my leaking shower. The GM was no where to be found and the AGM was not very pleasant. The blonde girl (Rene, I believe) was drinking at the bar. There was only one young woman who made our stay enjoyable. A pretty front desk agent with curly hair. I believe her name was O'Maryah or O'Myrah. Very sweet. Very professional. The overnight agent was very helpful as well. His name started with a T - Terrell or something. Your best bet is to deal with them. Also, the tomato basil bisque is good. But we won't be staying there again. read more

Floors were filthy dirty. Linens and comforter had stains and dirt all over them. You can not walk into the bathroom without hugging the toilet. You can not get out of the bed without hugging the window. No soap in the shower or shampoo. Sat on the phone for 20 minutes, before anyone answered for a reservation. read more
