We reserved and confirmed a King room at Hyatt Place Vacaville for Valentine's Day so we wouldn't have to drive home late after dinner. When we arrived around 10 PM, we were informed that our reserved King room was no longer available and had been given away. We were downgraded to a Double Queen. We were never notified in advance -- and our cancellation window had expired three days prior. There was no phone call, no email, and no communication that our confirmed room type would not be honored. Had we known before the cancellation deadline, we would have made other arrangements, especially given that this was a holiday stay. At 10 PM on Valentine's Day, finding another hotel wasn't realistic, so we accepted the downgrade. Unfortunately, the experience didn't end there. Loud music began playing somewhere within the building at 7:00 AM and continued for nearly two hours until we finally got up to get dressed as sleeping in was no longer an option. We were not on a lobby floor, and the volume was significant enough to disrupt the morning. After a late holiday evening, that was not the expectation. The room itself was clean and the check-in associate was polite, but the lack of advance communication, the room downgrade, and the early morning noise significantly impacted what was meant to be a relaxing Valentine's stay. We hope management addresses these concerns appropriately. read more

Great stay for the price. We booked last minute on a Friday for one night the following day and paid $120 total for a king room with a seating/living area. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Also not squeaky. Free breakfast and free parking were a big plus. The hotel has a pool, gym, and newer washers and dryers. Staff mentioned the property is about six years old, and it definitely feels well maintained. No complaints at all, worth the price. Friendly and helpful staff. We also liked the location. It felt safe, close to shopping and Vacaville outlets, and about a 30-minute evening drive to downtown Napa. Would definitely recommend and stay again. read more

Great, semi quiet location. Beautiful hotel, yummy breakfast and warm customer service. We stayed over Memorial Day weekend which was pretty busy. The room was spacious and clean. Comfy bed. Lots of options for breakfast! We're vegetarian and had plenty to choose from: eggs, potatoes, yogurt, fruit, bagels, oatmeal, cereal. Love that it's so close to everything! Outlet's, restaurants, and grocery stores are right down the street. I would definitely stay here again in the future. read more

So. I have not personally stayed at this hotel. But a new friend of mines ran into a devastating situation where their family was left was forced to go stay in a hotel. This was the place they the landed. This place show them mercy and grace at a time when no one else would. They didn't give them a free ride and that is not what they were asking for. Yet they gave them a decent price, customer service and best of all kindness. You never know what life will throw at you and when you are down and out all you are asking for is a little kindness. From what I have witnessed from this hotel that's exactly what they have. For that I give them five stars!! By the way, it a cute hotel too. I just didn't think about taking pictures when I stopped by to check on them. But the room was clean and spacious. The lobby was jazzy and comfortable and decorated for the holidays. Not much to complain about. We got here late. Checked in for a nights sleep after coming from SF and will wake early to drive into Tahoe. Only thing I remember is that the sheets were loud lol and the shower was weak. It's so minor otherwise it was a comparable nights stay. I remember more of the breakfast bc it had a great selection. You can make your own breakfast tacos! Everything was fresh and good. There were a lot of people eating and staying here but we had a nice seat in the lobby to enjoy to all. The kitchen servers were on top of refilling items. Liked how they had cereal and I always go for the oatmeal. The salsa was it hit the spot with the tacos. We refueled with this breakfast before hitting the road. It was memorable and glad we visited this new location. We stayed in a lot of Hyatt hotel places on those trip. The Hyatt places at started blending into together lol but this wasn't one we had an issues with. If we are ever around here we'd come back and give it another try. read more

Our room and bathroom were spotless!Cleanest hotel bathroom I've seen in a long time! We stayed 3 nights, and I guess the days of housekeeping knocking each morning to clean your room are over because no one ever came to clean. We called the front desk after a couple days for a bathroom refresh and housekeeping came at the end of the day. Breakfast: sausage was greasy and had a strong pork taste. The sliced garlic potatoes were good but had no flavor or seasoning otherwise. The coffee was super light - not a dark roast but it was hot and freshly brewed. Bar: white wine from bar was good. Canvas was the brand I believe. Music: lobby music was very nice in the lobby but it thumped all night in our 2nd floor room. Finally at 5:30 am I called the front desk to request it be turned down. I had to make the same request each of the following nights after 10:00pm. One of the 3 nights Keira was really sweet and honored our request however the other 2 nights we were told by other staff "we're required to play music," and "I'll see what I can do." Neither of those guys lowered the volume by very much but did turn it down some. Ironically there is a sign on the guest room floors indicating its quiet hour from 10 pm to 8:00 am. This hotel is clean and seems to be well managed. The employees are friendly and are quick to serve. If you're getting a room that faces behind the building I recommend the 4th floor as that has a bit of a view (to an open green grass area) over the business back there. The hotel only has 4 floors. There was a pool but I didn't see a spa. There is a small gym with free weights, a peloton bike, and some treadmills. The rooms are bright and feel spacious but note that only the ADA rooms have tubs (I think that's because this hotel prides itself on being environmentally friendly). The bacon was very thin but pretty good bacon, and since it's a continental breakfast you could return for multiple servings. The fresh cut fruit was nice. Overall, I was very comfortable staying here. I also really liked the styling of this hotel. read more

This is listed as a pet friendly hotel. I booked my stay on booking. Com and paid in full. On checking in the receptionist stated this was paid by a third-party and hand in my key. When I came in with my bag and pet the receptionist said I needed to sign a paper stating I would be charged for damages from the pet. Upon leaving the next day, I asked when my deposit would be refunded. They said in three days I still have not received my refund of $75. I called the hotel and asked why they said it was a $75 pet fee. This should have been told to me when they charged me $75 more on a $350 room buyer beware. read more

Recently stayed on the third floor, rooms are ample, and beds are comfortable. I was surprised to see that a shared washer and dryer is supplied on the third floor for laundry. Stayed for business trip. I love that I could check into my room ahead of time. Upon arrival I was greeted by a super helpful, smiling, courteous and very professional person working the front desk. The bar area looks neat and tidy and clean, they had a good selection of beers and wines available. My room was super nice and the perfect temperature as soon as I walked in. As far as the bed, no bed is as comfortable as your own bed so it was OK for the trip. The bathroom wad spotless, the towels were folded perfectly neat, everything was in its place. I did my usual, wipe down with a Clorox wipe of the remote control, the light fixtures, and the door knobs. The Clorox wipe was totally clean after I wiped everything down. So that proves to me that they cleaned that remote and light fixtures prior to me getting to the room, which made me feel good about the cleanliness of the hotel. When I travel and I check into my room, the first thing that I clean is the remote the light fixtures and the door knobs/handles and the dirtiness of those things tells me how clean that hotel is. And this hotel was spotless. I also checked for bedbugs every time I check into a hotel because I am not trying to bring anything to my home and there were zero bedbugs found the mattress was super clean upon inspection. As a matter of fact, there were no spots on the mattress, and it was pristine. The breakfast in the morning was nice. They had everything pretty much wanted for a quick stop in breakfast. The parking was ample, the parking lot was safe and I did not feel unsafe at all walking through the parking lot by myself late at night. As a woman, traveling alone it is important to always feel safe. I felt safe in the hotel, that includes sitting in the lobby, having a nightcap with my friends, walking down the hallway to my room and walking around the parking lot at night alone. Everything was well lit and clean. My room had a pleasant smell, it did not smell like it had been closed in for a long time. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. I forgot my slippers at home and all I had were my socks to walk around in. I was wearing white socks, the entire time I walked around that room and in the bathroom and the socks had no dirt on them when I took them off. We spent the night here after attending a friend's wedding in the area, and had a very nice stay. Everything was super clean, the room and bed were comfortable, and the room stayed cool all night - one of my biggest pet peeves is motion-activated AC in hotels that shuts off at night, making it pretty much impossible for me to sleep; we did not have that issue here. They have a very nice complementary breakfast buffet! The bacon was some of the best bacon I've EVER had, I kid you not. Whoever cooked that bacon deserves a fat raise, Hyatt! Excellent Stay again. This is a great place to stay. The breakfast, coffee, and staff are pleasant and friendly. It's peaceful and quiet and I feel very safe as it was just me and my dog. It's very close to the Outlets, but far enough away that you are not around all the hustle and bustle of traffic and people. When you enter the room the temperature is perfect. I always use a wipe to make sure the remote, door handles and light switches are clean ! The room is super clean and very comfortable. The shades are perfect for a nice, dark room. I stayed here on a class field trip. For the price, this is really a good hotel. Rooms are spacious, well lit and clean. The last couple of hotels I stayed in had very poor lighting. Not so at the Hyatt Place. They had enough lights to make the room bright. The hotel also provided free breakfast of bacon, scrambled eggs, french toast and yogurt. Minus - slow elevator that sort of jostles the guests when it arrives at a floor. There is an odd refrigerator sound emanating from the room at night. Someone said it was from the AC. Stayed for one night using a Thank You discount for healthcare workers. Easy access off the highway between Davis and Napa. Breakfast included a choice of hot and cold items like egg, ham and cheese on English muffins, breakfast tacos, and omelets. Unfortunately, limited veggie options. They also offered yogurt, fresh fruit packaged in Saran Wrap, bagels and cream cheese, muffins and cups of oatmeal. Parking was limited due to a wedding in the events hall next door, but a nice gentleman working at the front desk offered us his spot in front of the hotel when we found that the lot was full. Although there were signs posted about quiet time after ten, given the wedding and an ongoing local softball tournament, understandably the hotel was full of energy and excitement into the wee hours of the night. read more

SERVICE Free Self-service parking (uncovered) Early checkin wasn't available (through 2pm!). First floor had an odor (mopping water not clean). Very gossipy staff with a total lack of awareness (current & potential customers don't want to see this). Training feels non-existent & not a great first impression. ROOM Unbelievably low cleaning standards; dusty phones; paper guides/pamphlets aren't replaced or sanitized (very oily+damaged ); stains on door; hair on window sill (???); crumbs on chairs. Walls are very noticeably worn, scuffed & dented; very much in need of new paint. The upholstered sectional (Grand Manor Furniture) is uncomfortable and poorly designed; the cushion filling has no weight and readily slides out when sitting/laying. Pictures in the photo gallery online are either outdated or digitally enhanced because much of the stock depicted in the suite (dishware, toiletries, pillows, etc) are non-existent. The "Commitment to Care enhanced levels of cleanliness" pledge on the website also seems to be just lip service. BATH Cleaning & maintenance standards were appalling: short hair and debris on sink; mildew, gunk, stains on shower; shower heads aren't wiped down. 1 of the sinks was clogged and would not drain. FWIW the single Spray-pattern shower head pressure was strong & consistent, unlike the sink. Bath products are free of sulfate & paraben which is nice to see. No robe/slippers. Bath towels on the smaller side ( 20" to 30") Sterling toilet (great ergonomics). Tork 2-ply TP. BED The mattress offers no support or firmness & sinks heavily throughout -- murder on the back. The soft & dense down pillows were a small reprieve, but the quantity + size (4x Standard pillows) doesn't provide adequate coverage for a King mattress & visually it's noticeably incongruent. 3-layer flat sheet+duvet+blanket composition; Very soft and breathable but not particularly cozy or heat retentive. Sleep is difficult with the AC unit (in the bedroom) running due to a low rumbling noise it produces. Wi-FI A meek 10-13 Mbps down; 11-12 Mbps up complimentary wifi portal. Bandwidth is just enough for 1 dedicated work function depending on your line of work. Luckily, the neighboring Mazzei Chevrolet wi-fi is also free & performs MUCH better downloading @ 17-23 Mbps TV Multiple flat-screen smart TVs. Well-positioned and swivel base. Casting is available for streaming from your mobile devices. FOOD Vehemently NOT DoorDash/UberEats friendly; no room/bell service of any kind, so don't count on racking up any miles/hotel points from food delivery while here despite the plethora of restaurants in the area. LG microwave with entertaining chip tunes in kitchenette Medium (31-40") mini fridge $3 bottled water in the lobby w/other over-priced snacks. This location has two General Managers (Roy Galan & Vanessa Talbert) but the post-Covid experience in 2023 under their leadership suggests that a third might be needed. We stayed here for the first time last night because it is low season and we could afford it! Hyatt is definitely a jump above and the nice large rooms and aesthetic touches reflect it. Rooms were clean and pleasant. Staff was courteous and warm. There's an airy lobby/bar area and the breakfast seating is in an adjacent room. Parking is easy and access to the freeway a hop away. Food/Complimentary Breakfast: offerings are a notch above less expensive chains because there is more to choose from (thank you) but I couldn't help thinking just how bland and uncreative everything was...I have to mention the pancakes because I decided to have one plain...truthfully paper might have been better. I'm pretty sure you will need 'toppings' to enjoy the pancakes, although I didn't see any maple syrup. Suggestion: not everyone likes or can eat flavored yogurt. How about some plain yogurt and then folks can put fruit and toppings on it, if desired. Food & Bar/the Placery: for us the menu seemed perfect. They have easy sandwiches, a chicken salad, a burger, fries...very simple bar menu but one that could suffice for a casual dinner when you don't want to go out. We placed our order and as the burgers are cooked to order, we asked for 2 burgers, one medium, one medium rare. You can choose a side like fries or fruit as well.. Well...we waited and waited...then two plates were brought to us but they weren't ours and it seems they weren't anyone's as they stayed at the bar area for quite sometime. So we waited some more and finally went up and asked about our order... "she's making it now"... when the burgers were finally brought, they both had fries (I ordered a fruit salad)...she apologized and went back to get me a side of fruit. Okay...the bun was cold and my "medium" burger was so well done I could hardly chew it--really bad. The "medium rare" burger was bordering on well. Now, the staff person was very sweet and asked if we would like complimentary drinks but I have a feeling the problems do not stem from her...something just isn't right in the whole set up of this restaurant's logistics ... from placing an order, to receiving it in the kitchen, to the cooking and to the quality of the food...in my opinion, this is all very awkward and a set up for mishaps and disappointments. I have a friend from my days in the 1st Ranger Battalion passing through on his way to Washington about to stay for his second time here and we've had family use the hotel when we've had an overflow crowd. We had a wedding in the area and knew ahead of time we weren't going to want to drive back. I started checking out hotels weeks ahead of time close to the wedding venue. We have stayed in a lot of Hyatt hotels as well as there upscale brand, Andaz. This was nice, real nice. Nice seating areas in the lobby and another section that opens up for breakfast in the morning. We'll come back to the breakfast thing in a bit. We got in late after the wedding and the in house bar was still open (closes at midnight). After a night cap, back to the room. Lots of room in the room. Nice flat screen,  couch and a very comfy bed. So the other nice touch is complementary waters upon check in and apples in a basket. We did not get to partake of the pool or fitness center since we had to get back home early in the morning. So back to breakfast. It was great. Scrambled eggs, bacon, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, berries,  melons, french toast, oatmeal, juice etc. I am a hard core bacon and egg guy. Who ever did these deserves a raise.  I would stay here again just knowing the about the breakfast. The bar open till midnight is also a nice touch. read more

I had a comfortable stay here for a week during the holidays. I'm writing this months later because the hotel added to a nice vacation seeing family. Overall it was a great hotel, I think the best option in Vacaville. The room was sizable, including an ample seating area between the bed and bathroom. Good bathroom with sufficient lighting. The Hyatt Place shares the same parking lot as Enterprise which was also very convenient for those renting cars. The complimentary breakfast was impressive in regards to the many offerings. I used the wooden tray from the room to bring goodies back to the late sleepers. The soundproofing could stand to get improved. When the guests next door would open their door, it sounded like mine was opening. The water in the shower was very soft so it felt like I could never rinse the soap away. Few complaints after an enjoyable stay. read more

Stayed here for 1 night before heading to Napa Valley for the week. Hotel seems newly renovated. Pretty clean overall. Staff was friendly enough, but probably not going out of their way to do any extra. Breakfast bar was decent. Better than your standard continteal breakfast at a Holiday Inn, Hampton or something of the sort. I have status with Hyatt and had to ask for the complimentary bottled waters. No big deal, just small things like this the property missed. The bar area was the highlight of the lobby, had some local beers on draft and everything looked nice and modern. My biggest irk was the noise. The property was full due to it being a Holiday, so that could have exacerbated the issue. You could hear everything in the hall, the people on both sides of the room, and every single door slam...all throughout the night and morning. Door slamming would be a pretty easy fix to have the doors shut lighter. I was pretty happy with my stay considering the rate I got. But I've also seen the rate double what I paid. At that point, I would have been pretty dissapointed with the stay. Overall an Average stay. read more

I booked this for a night while we were in town for a family celebration. The location was easy to find. It was kind of random as it's in a parking lot with numerous halls and restaurants and stores, but I can see why they put it there, easy place to book for the celebrations that are being held nearby. At the last minute my dad wanted a room and they worked with me to get him one as well with my points, which was really nice. The rooms were clean and big, noise wasn't a factor, everything was secure and quiet with no issues. Their breakfast in the morning was fine and overall no complaints. The only reason I'm giving this place 3 stars is for the staff. I have stayed here twice on business in the exact same room (not by request). The first time I stayed there were hairs in the shower and on my towel. The staff is very hospitable and friendly but the second time I stayed, there were hairs on the towels again, as well as some disgusting looking substance on the remote (photo attached). The remotes are wrapped in plastic so I'm not sure why this one was if it wasn't cleaned. It leaves me to believe not much in my room was clean. Also, one of the buttons on the A/C was sticking so you can imagine me trying to adjust the air and it goes up past 80 in 110 degree weather. Before Covid this is not ok, but ESPECIALLY during a pandemic. I am disgusted and won't be staying here again. I really wanted to give this place another chance but this last stay confirmed that I shouldn't. read more

Think high end motel. Located in a strip mall, it's not my ideal location, but overall we had a pleasant stay. We stayed here while attending Bottlerock in Napa Valley. We chose this property because of the price and amenities offered, while not having too far of a drive (30-45 minutes depending on traffic). They have a pool, a small workout area and free breakfast buffet in the mornings. The pool wasn't very exciting, but it was nice to allow the kids to splash around a bit. The gym had a few cardio machines and a full set of weights. Nothing fancy, just the basics, but it was clean and served it's purpose. The rooms were clean, spacious, and modern. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we had no issues with a late check in. There is a bar in the front lobby where you can purchase drinks and snacks. The best amenity was definitely the breakfast buffet. It included juice, coffee, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, fresh fruits, bagels and cream cheese, mini muffins, as well as a rotating menu of hot items such as scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, French toast sticks and potatoes. Parking is free for guests and you need your room key to enter the property after a certain hour at night. We had a nice stay and I would recommend this property to anyone needing to stay in the area. It is not a luxury property, but it is much nicer than other properties in the area. read more
