CLEAN.. GREAT AMENITIES.. SPACIOUS For our trip to Napa we were looking for a pet friendly hotel with a kitchen so we can cook our meals. We found Residence Inn in Fairfield. We loved the cleanliness of the place and our room. The staff was friendly and responsive. The breakfast was great, lots of variety and taste good. Overall, we recommend this place, it's not as close to Napa as we'd like but it was very comfortable, clean and quiet. We will be back for sure.

What's up: Staying here while we are in the area to visit the wineries for tastings. We picked this spot because the location was convenient and because it had EV chargers. And...it's right off the 80 FWY and 680 FWY. Parking: Plenty of parking available. What made it awesome was that there were several EV chargers available for our use. They're located up front, not too far from the main entrance. There were several so we were always able to grab one to charge our car. Environment: The place was very clean and well lit. They even have a fireplace in the sitting area. The rooms were comfy and the kitchenette made it easy to cook up meals. There is complementary daily breakfast which had lots of options to choose from. The fitness room is decent and the outside area has a pool as well as BBQ grills and a basketball court. Since it was raining, we didn't get to take advantage of the exterior amenities. What was ordered: - One Bedroom Suite with Two Queens and Sofa Bed Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. Overall, we had a comfortable stay. Everything went well and we didn't have any issues. Comfy beds, convenient location, and quiet. Credit cards are accepted.

Parents stayed here for a week a couple of months ago. The room was spacious. The beds were comfy. The bathroom was large. The kitchen was nice. You get a full kitchen and living room which makes the stay seem like an apartment. The staff were really nice and welcoming. The lobby is large and nice. There's a pool and outdoor fire pits to sit and enjoy. The only complaint is the complementary breakfast is limited and not good. Hopefully they expand their breakfast options in the future. Thankfully the hotel is located near plenty of eating places.

Compared to other Marriott hotels in the area this one appears the newest and most clean. I don't recommend staying in the rooms facing the highway because of the tents/camps. My son called them caves and said he had a nightmare about them. I also got a staple poked into my finger from the chair in the kitchenette when I went to scoot in toward the table to eat. I immediately called down to notify front desk but she said she was working alone. No one apologized nor offered even a bandaid to cover my bleeding finger. Breakfast was unfortunate at this time the only meat option was cold/hard sausage. The bananas were all brown and the pears had cuts/bruises on them. We drove to Trader Joes's and purchased food instead. I would stay here again because I did feel safe and comfortable here with young children. My son liked the pool (not heated) but there were no pool towels stocked/available. I liked the small gym it felt clean and new.

Stayed here on our most recent Napa trip. The hotel is clean and quiet and close enough to Napa to be worth the stay. We were given a bottle of Chardonnay upon check in. The rooms are well appointed with a full kitchen. We had breakfast the following morning and while not fancy or expansive, they provided the basics, eggs, bacon, cereal and toast. I went for a swim in the hotel pool and that was good as well.

A Residence Inn in Fairfield, that's funny. This was my first reaction when I saw it, and for my fellow Marriott loyalist they would get the joke. We were searching for hotels for our upcoming trip to Napa and stumbled across this property. It's not in Napa Valley but only 15 minutes away and the main selling point is that they have chargers on the property. We arrived at the hotel Friday night at 8:30 after driving up from Los Angeles. It was raining the entire day and all we wanted to do was check in, grab some food, and get some shut eye. After all we had a few wine tastings schedule the next day. Check-in was easy. We walked up to the front desk and the receptionist was able to quickly locate my reservation. They took my credit card information to cover any incidentals, explained that complimentary breakfast is served from 6:30 - 9:30 and handed me the keys. The room was spacious and clean. The layout contained a kitchenette, a seating area with a couch and tv, and a separate bedroom with two twin beds so you can sleep while your friends drink in the seating area. The kitchenette was well stocked with a 2-burner electric stove, full size refrigerator with a built-in ice maker, cookware, and dishwasher. All the standard amenities were also included in the room such as coffee makers, toiletries, paper towels, etc. The gym is open 24 hours a day and accessible via key card. It didn't have a pulley machine but was fairly well equipped. It had a variety of free weights, a row machines, 3 elliptical, 3 treadmills, and 1 stationary cycle. It also had kettle bells, medicine balls, and balance balls. Not too shabby for a small hotel gym. There is an outdoor pool but for the athletes they have a half basketball court for guest that want to play a quick game of b-ball. Breakfast is held in the lobby of the hotel and contain eggs with 2 sides of protein. We had bacon on the first day and sausage on the second. Accompanying the hot breakfast was a cereal bar, a waffle bar and a variety of fruits, juices, and coffee. The staff was attentive and ensure the buffet was well stocked and used tables were cleaned quickly. Looking outside I noticed a patio seating area that had a firepit and BBQ grills for guest to use; however, due to the storm everything was covered up. Overall, my visit to the Residence Inn was comfortable. The beds were firm but not back breaking and the accommodations were sufficient for my stay. There were a variety of markets nearby and even a Costco just in case you wanted to pick up some steaks to throw on the grill. For my Pokémon Go players out there, there is one Pokémon gym on the property, though you would need to go into the parking lot before you can access it.

My experience here was positive. Manager on duty : forgot your name but a really great hire from Marriott. I had a king suite and it was very spacious. I had one hiccup that was somewhat serious... but it happened to be the only issue I faced so I'll deduct one star. There was a blood drip in the shower, not sure how housekeeping missed it. --- Other than the hiccup, the room was clean, the amenities really build the hotel. It's pretty new / or renovated recently. The basketball court is a huge plus, the grills, and pool... all additional pluses. Hopefully they give me some points for the blood though, as that is a biohazard. Overall quality of the stay 8.5

11/11/23 Booked a night after wine tastings in Napa for the day! Wanted to check out the new hotel, it's very modern and minimalist in decor which I can appreciate. Since the hotel is so new, w everything is clean and new feeling. Cushions are new on the couches and the mattresses are firm. Breakfast is downstairs, it was ok. Nothing spectacular. Waffles, bagels, muffins, cereal, etc. Easy enough to get in/out of. 4 stars overall. I did elect to do a mobile checkin, but the hotel requires me to check in at the front desk. States it's for security purposes. -1 Warning: The parked car next to us had their back windows smashed so be careful not to leave any valuables or bags, backpacks etc in the cars.

Lots of comfortable seating in the lobby

Had to wait for them. Then they tell me, the elevator closest to us is down. I need to go to the other elevator that's closer to my room and I can drive and park behind the building, its right next to my room. They must've told everyone this cause there were many cars parked on that side behind the building. I walked from the front. it wasn't a long walk since I didn't have much to carry. but the stairs was down, the elevator was down, the fitness room was closed, and they had these vacuums or fans all over the first floor. was there a water leakage? ice machine was also down. The front desk person warned us of the cost and told us to just go to Safeway. Thankful for that tip! I know this place had really BAD management in the past, not sure what the case is these days. There was no phone call, no email, and no communication that our confirmed room type would not be honored. Had we known before the cancellation deadline, we would have made other arrangements, especially given that this was a holiday stay. At 10 PM on Valentine's Day, finding another hotel wasn't realistic, so we accepted the downgrade. Unfortunately, the experience didn't end there. Loud music began playing somewhere within the building at 7:00 AM and continued for nearly two hours until we finally got up to get dressed as sleeping in was no longer an option. We were not on a lobby floor, and the volume was significant enough to disrupt the morning. After a late holiday evening, that was not the expectation. The room itself was clean and the check-in associate was polite, but the lack of advance communication, the room downgrade, and the early morning noise significantly impacted what was meant to be a relaxing Valentine's stay. We hope management addresses these concerns appropriately.

Although we made this request well in advance, we were told upon arrival that no first-floor rooms were available and were assigned a room on the third floor near the elevator. That was a very disappointing start to our stay. We are loyal Hyatt guests as well as being Discoverist members, we have a Hyatt Credit Card, and own a Hyatt Vacation Club timeshare so we expected a better effort to accommodate our medical-related request. Unfortunately, our experience continued to decline. On our first night, the fire alarm sounded, requiring everyone to evacuate. My husband and I had to walk to the stairwell and descend three flights of stairs before making our way outside and then to the lobby. When we asked what had happened, the employee at the front desk said they had no idea. After the alarm stopped, guests were simply told to return to their rooms without any explanation or reassurance. Better communication during an emergency would have gone a long way. There have also been maintenance issues. The ice machine on our floor has been out of service for the five days we've been here, so we've had to go to another floor every evening just to get ice. I do want to recognize the breakfast staff, who have been consistently friendly, hardworking, and accommodating. They have been one of the highlights of our stay. We also encountered some staff members who were kind and knowledgeable, although others were not, making the level of service feel inconsistent. We've stayed at this Hyatt House many times over the years, and this experience has been very different from what we've come to expect. It's disappointing because we've always enjoyed staying here. Based on this visit, we're not sure we'll return unless we see improvements in guest service, communication, and maintenance.

There aren't many hotel options and no higher-end ones. This Comfort Inn mistakenly is identified as a 3-star option on many online booking sites. It most definitely is not. Some of the highlights: * Worst shower ever - basically we didn't have a working shower. Ours was clearly busted but by the time we found out, we only had a short time to get ready. We could not adjust the water temp, so we would be hit with sudden blasts of freezing cold water. The only option was to stop the water, soap up and hope you would have enough warm water to rinse off. * The place was noisy. Both in our room (ancient AC unit) and outside, where the lack of soundproofing is painfully obvious as you hear all the comings and goings throughout the night (and there are many!). * Threadbare bedding and holes in curtains. This room is strictly no frills. But there is a minifridge and a microwave in the room. * Breakfast not great - watery coffee, old/stale muffins, along with the standard make-your-own waffles and wet eggs. But it IS free. So there is that. It wasn't TERRIBLE for one night, except for the awful shower experience. I only paid $76 on Priceline, but the hotel does charge a $150 - $200 deposit to your credit card when you arrive. And to give you an idea of what is going on in the hotel, a large sign at the front desk proclaims something like: "If there is a Do Not Disturb sign on your room for 4 days, we're coming in" - I'm paraphrasing of course. But it definitely seems like people may be living there and maybe not doing wholesome things on property. I have another business trip to Fairfield coming up and I won't consider this hotel again.
