Residence Inn Fairfield Napa was a great value for our stay. The rooms and common areas were quite clean, the staff was friendly, and the location was convenient. It is a bit of a drive to Napa, but the fair price point made the tradeoff worthwhile. What impressed me most happened after we left. I accidentally left an item behind, and the staff found it and returned it after I sent them a mailing label. I really appreciated their help and follow-through. Booked not one but three rooms with this hotel not for one night but the entire weekend. Paid over $1,300 for all three rooms. Very angry and will be reaching out to the corporate office. This hotel lacks customer service. Lies everytime I call oh sorry the manager isn't in right now. They'll call you back. My family has called everyday since our stay requesting to speak to a manager we have yet to get a callback. Our car was hit in their parking lot by another guest. We have a witness saying there was a drunk guest who hit the car. We have emailed and called this hotel and no one has called us back. If you paid over a $1,000 and your car got hit, I think you'll be pretty mad too! read more

This hotel has the rudest staff I have ever encounter as a Marriott member. I am very disgusted at the customer service I received at this hotel the guest staff acts if they don't care about anything, I called to report something that was missing and they refused to help or call me back regarding this matter. I left an item in my hotel room and received zero help our customer service after calling back four times and getting no help and also the manager neglected to return my call or answer the call they never put notes in the system or returned my call about my jewelry, which is unacceptable. I am a rewards member and I will definitely be filing a corporate complaint about this hotel in the negligence they have in customer service. The first person I spoke to I think it was a guy he looks Filipino or Mexican. He wears glasses black comb over m hair ; and the second lady I spoke to was dru didn't catch the name of the others, but this staff definitely needs to be retrained. I have never in my life experienced anything like this if I've ever had any issues staying anywhere I've always received a call back immediately. What's up: Staying here while we are in the area to visit the wineries for tastings. We picked this spot because the location was convenient and because it had EV chargers. And...it's right off the 80 FWY and 680 FWY. Parking: Plenty of parking available. What made it awesome was that there were several EV chargers available for our use. They're located up front, not too far from the main entrance. There were several so we were always able to grab one to charge our car. Environment: The place was very clean and well lit. They even have a fireplace in the sitting area. The rooms were comfy and the kitchenette made it easy to cook up meals. There is complementary daily breakfast which had lots of options to choose from. The fitness room is decent and the outside area has a pool as well as BBQ grills and a basketball court. Since it was raining, we didn't get to take advantage of the exterior amenities. What was ordered: - One Bedroom Suite with Two Queens and Sofa Bed Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. Parents stayed here for a week a couple of months ago. The room was spacious. The beds were comfy. The bathroom was large. The kitchen was nice. You get a full kitchen and living room which makes the stay seem like an apartment. The staff were really nice and welcoming. The lobby is large and nice. There's a pool and outdoor fire pits to sit and enjoy. The only complaint is the complementary breakfast is limited and not good. Hopefully they expand their breakfast options in the future. Compared to other Marriott hotels in the area this one appears the newest and most clean. I don't recommend staying in the rooms facing the highway because of the tents/camps. My son called them caves and said he had a nightmare about them. I also got a staple poked into my finger from the chair in the kitchenette when I went to scoot in toward the table to eat. I immediately called down to notify front desk but she said she was working alone. No one apologized nor offered even a bandaid to cover my bleeding finger. Breakfast was unfortunate at this time the only meat option was cold/hard sausage. The bananas were all brown and the pears had cuts/bruises on them. We drove to Trader Joes's and purchased food instead. I would stay here again because I did feel safe and comfortable here with young children. My son liked the pool (not heated) but there were no pool towels stocked/available. I liked the small gym it felt clean and new. read more

Stayed here on our most recent Napa trip. The hotel is clean and quiet and close enough to Napa to be worth the stay. We were given a bottle of Chardonnay upon check in. The rooms are well appointed with a full kitchen. We had breakfast the following morning and while not fancy or expansive, they provided the basics, eggs, bacon, cereal and toast. A Residence Inn in Fairfield, that's funny. This was my first reaction when I saw it, and for my fellow Marriott loyalist they would get the joke. We were searching for hotels for our upcoming trip to Napa and stumbled across this property. It's not in Napa Valley but only 15 minutes away and the main selling point is that they have chargers on the property. We arrived at the hotel Friday night at 8:30 after driving up from Los Angeles. It was raining the entire day and all we wanted to do was check in, grab some food, and get some shut eye. After all we had a few wine tastings schedule the next day. Check-in was easy. We walked up to the front desk and the receptionist was able to quickly locate my reservation. They took my credit card information to cover any incidentals, explained that complimentary breakfast is served from 6:30 - 9:30 and handed me the keys. The room was spacious and clean. The layout contained a kitchenette, a seating area with a couch and tv, and a separate bedroom with two twin beds so you can sleep while your friends drink in the seating area. The kitchenette was well stocked with a 2-burner electric stove, full size refrigerator with a built-in ice maker, cookware, and dishwasher. All the standard amenities were also included in the room such as coffee makers, toiletries, paper towels, etc. The gym is open 24 hours a day and accessible via key card. It didn't have a pulley machine but was fairly well equipped. It had a variety of free weights, a row machines, 3 elliptical, 3 treadmills, and 1 stationary cycle. It also had kettle bells, medicine balls, and balance balls. Not too shabby for a small hotel gym. There is an outdoor pool but for the athletes they have a half basketball court for guest that want to play a quick game of b-ball. Breakfast is held in the lobby of the hotel and contain eggs with 2 sides of protein. We had bacon on the first day and sausage on the second. Accompanying the hot breakfast was a cereal bar, a waffle bar and a variety of fruits, juices, and coffee. The staff was attentive and ensure the buffet was well stocked and used tables were cleaned quickly. Looking outside I noticed a patio seating area that had a firepit and BBQ grills for guest to use; however, due to the storm everything was covered up. Overall, my visit to the Residence Inn was comfortable. The beds were firm but not back breaking and the accommodations were sufficient for my stay. There were a variety of markets nearby and even a Costco just in case you wanted to pick up some steaks to throw on the grill. For my Pokémon Go players out there, there is one Pokémon gym on the property, though you would need to go into the parking lot before you can access it. read more

My experience here was positive. Manager on duty : forgot your name but a really great hire from Marriott. I had a king suite and it was very spacious. I had one hiccup that was somewhat serious... but it happened to be the only issue I faced so I'll deduct one star. There was a blood drip in the shower, not sure how housekeeping missed it. --- Other than the hiccup, the room was clean, the amenities really build the hotel. It's pretty new / or renovated recently. The basketball court is a huge plus, the grills, and pool... all additional pluses. 11/11/23 Booked a night after wine tastings in Napa for the day! Wanted to check out the new hotel, it's very modern and minimalist in decor which I can appreciate. Since the hotel is so new, w everything is clean and new feeling. Cushions are new on the couches and the mattresses are firm. Breakfast is downstairs, it was ok. Nothing spectacular. Waffles, bagels, muffins, cereal, etc. Easy enough to get in/out of. 4 stars overall. I did elect to do a mobile checkin, but the hotel requires me to check in at the front desk. States it's for security purposes. -1 Warning: The parked car next to us had their back windows smashed so be careful not to leave any valuables or bags, backpacks etc in the cars. read more

This review is solely for the sales department at Residence Inn Fairfield. We visited on April 12th to inquire about setting up a room block for our wedding. The front desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and they directed us to contact the Director of Sales for further assistance. Since then, we've sent 4 emails with no response. I eventually tracked down the Director of Sales' phone number and we had a brief phone conversation where I mentioned the emails. She acknowledged them and said she'd get back to me. It's now been almost a week since that call--no response to my follow-up email or text. I don't understand why potential customers need to chase the director of sales just to give them business. Not a single email acknowledging our inquiry....Nothing. It honestly feels like they don't care. Unfortunately, we're moving forward with other accommodations for our wedding guests. If you're looking for a room block in the Fairfield/Vallejo area, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. Residence Inn Fairfield made it pretty clear they're not interested in working with us. read more

Worse experience ever with a hotel. We had made reservations months ahead and when we arrived today they simply said we are oversold and cannot give you a room. There is only one room left which has no AC. Would you take it? Horrible service, management. The assistant manager hide behind the door to speak with the front staff only and they kept going back and forth to speak with the manager. Left us 4 ppl with a dog with no room to stay. I would give a zero star if I can. Staff was not helpful is finding us another hotel. Ruined our vacation. How can hotels be oversold with our real time technology in room reservations booking? I am skeptical about the reason. We did use our free night plus additional points for this reservation so our 2 night stays is not "paid". Also besides us, there were two other groups who tried to check in but had no rooms. They used a friends and family discount for their rooms. Marriott should remove this hotel from their chain. I have been a loyal customer sit Marriott for many years and this is not right. Travelers make plans months ahead and spend money on transportation only to find that the hotel room is not available at time of check in. We also arrived right on time for the 4pm check in and there was no room for us but the broken AC room? Very unhappy with this hotel, staff and management. read more

Warning: the name is extremely misleading. It's not in Napa...it's not even in the same county! When there's traffic (and there often is) it's at least a half hour drive by freeway just to get to Napa and the wineries are up valley (extending drive time.) For BottleRock, Uber there was $40 (pre tip); with surge pricing on the way back it was $70. Additionally , when we arrived there was an odor can left by housekeeping in the middle of the floor (which was sticky) and the couch cushions jumbled like jenga blocks (the house cleaners must've been interrupted and forgot to come back .) And we discovered there were no sheets or bedding for that bed at 11:30 pm and front desk refused to bring to our room. Hotel itself is nice and new but know what you're getting into. read more

The quiet continuous air flow running in the rooms and hallways is so refreshing, feels like the Hilton Conrad in resorts world Las Vegas which is a compliment. Came into town to celebrate the life of a friend. The hotel is conveniently located .03 miles away from a plaza with a Safeway Supermarket, CVS, nail salon, dry cleaners, Costco (with gas station) and multiple casual restaurants. The hotel is also about 0.5 miles off the highway. There is a ton of parking in the front and sides of the hotel. There are multiple EV chargers right in front of the building. On the outside, to the left of front door is an outdoor seating area with a fire pit. There are also outdoor propane grills. Next to that is an outdoor pool that goes from 3ft to 5ft deep (I added the pool depth because I noticed it is something that people never include). Next to that is a basketball hoop. Once you walk inside you have the front desk to the right and a seating area to the left. The front desk staff were friendly and always greeted me when I walked past. Right by the elevators was a pitcher of infused water that was always kept cold. They also always had a pitcher of coffee available in the eating area, but sadly, after breakfast hours, there was no creamer. I probably could have asked for some, but totally forgot to in the moment. On to the most surprising part: the room. We were in room 211, which is to the left of the elevator bank. My wife booked the hotel so I had zero idea what to expect. I forgot to take pictures but the place was great. They are all suites and the one we had was a studio. When you walk in the door, you have to keep a keycard in a slot to ensure you have lights throughout the rest of the room. You are greeted by a full size fridge and freezer with in-freezer icemaker. There is also a 2 burner cooktop, over the range microwave, and dishwasher. They supply you with various glasses, plates, bowls, and silverware as well as a frying pan, a small sauce pan, and a large pot. If you wanted to, you can buy and cook your own groceries and not have to spend a dime on takeout. Inside the kitchen is also a small eat-in area next to the sink with 2 chairs. The sink has an electric garbage disposal and you are supplied with a sponge and small bottle of dish soap. Past the kitchen area is a sectional couch that faces the office desk area . To the left of that is a dresser with a what looked like 50 inch television that was on a base that swivels to face either the living room/kitchen area and the bed area to the left. It has a king sized bed with a mix of firm and fluffy pillows. Each side had a nightstand with both AC and USB outlets and a wall mounted lamp. One nightstand had a phone and the other had a clock. Inside the drawers were both a Book Of Mormon and a Gideons' Bible. Next is the closet area. The closet had accordion doors with a ton of space and some hangers. Across from the closet is a vanity type area with a huge mirror and two large drawers that were probably abut 4 feet long and 2 feet deep. Past that was the bathroom, which had a lighted mirror above the sink and a glass walk-in shower that was pretty big. The water pressure was great and we never had any issues with the temperature. Towels and washcloths were provided as well as soap to wash your hands. Inside the shower, bottles for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were hung on the wall. Overall the hotel is nice and looks like it is still new. The only "con" was the view. Our room was over a roof area that housed some HVAC equipment. We did not book the hotel for any views of Napa, so that was not a big deal to us. I think this place is ideal for someone who needs a hotel room for more than just a place to lay your head. read more

Let me tell you, I have NEVER been more furious with a hotel in my life. As a loyal Marriott Bonvoy Titanium member, I expect a certain level of service. What I got instead was a complete disaster. We had a confirmed reservation for a TWO-BEDROOM suite at your Residence Inn. Guess what I got when I arrived? A measly ONE-BEDROOM. Are you kidding me?! I traveled my family with 7 month baby and we NEEDED that space! To make matters worse, they wouldn't even offer us a second one-bedroom to try and fix their mistake! This is beyond ridiculous. Your front desk staff? Useless. They acted like they didn't care at all, just shrugged and said "too bad. we just oversold" Your management? A complete joke. Nobody seemed to give a damn or have any idea how to fix this. Is this how you run a hotel? This is beyond unacceptable. You oversold rooms, ruined my plans, and treated me like garbage. Me and my husband unfortunately had a bad experience here. The front desk staff are very racist. My husband was judged the moment he gave the front desk clerk his Cash App card. We often use this card and never have hassle, but she thought he had no money because he used this card. Don't judge a book by its cover please. My husband makes more in a few days than this girl makes in a month so please do us all a favor Marriott and let this racist go. We will no longer be coming back to this Marriott property because of her and another staff member (Female) that checked me out. I said thank you to her and she wouldn't even look at me. So I said it louder and she still didn't say anything but her co-worker behind her did. It's unbelievable that we have to deal with this as costumers. All we want to to check into a nice room and enjoy our time together and to have to put up with racism is beyond acceptable. Get it together Fairfield Marriott. My husband and I both have lifetime Platinum Elite status with Marriott, and have stayed in many Marriott hotels over the years. During our most recent visit to the Residence Inn Fairfield Napa, we had a major water leak under our kitchen sink which was not fixed during the 3 days we were in that room. We received a full price bill and were unable to speak with anyone in authority aka, General Manager Ray Smith, either during or since our stay. Beautiful hotel, poor customer service. My boyfriend and I just spend 2 nights at this hotel for our anniversary and also that's " supposed to be brand new" and come to find out I seen a roach in the middle of the night at 1 I informed the lady working at the front desk and she stated "there's nothing we could do about it". Very rudely also said as I was walking off "Happy Anniversary". I don't know where they find such rude staff but this hotel is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I'm extremely mortified on how she handled this situation. Spoke to the manager the morning " Rebecca" and that was an absolute waste of time. The customer service is HORRIBLE!
