I really like Hyatt, it is the brand that I choose to stay with most often when I travel because rates are affordable, and properties are nice. I was very impressed when I entered the lobby of this Hyatt, it felt very grand, was nicely lit and well decorated. The staff went above and beyond to be friendly at check in and they had a bag check in the lobby which I took advantage of. As a WOH member, check in was a breeze. In the lobby is a bar that serves food and a market for small items you may have forgotten at home. They serve coffee and pastries too. Once I got off the elevator I could see that the hotel has been around a long time, it felt more dated once I was on the tower floor, but the room had been recently updated and was decent. We were upgraded to a balcony room which was nice, but that too felt a little dated. It was also missing furniture which gave me absolutely no reason to go on the balcony. Because I used points for part of my stay I booked two reservations and the staff couldn't merge them but said I could stay in the same room and come back down to check in quickly when time for the 2nd stay. I had to bring my ID and unfortunately left it with the person at the desk by mistake. I didn't know I was without ID until I arrived at the airport to head home. Thankfully TSA worked things out, but getting my ID sent to me felt like an unnecessary hassle. After about 5 calls to security I finally got the fedex mailing setup and ID sent to me at my expense. I disagree with that approach since it would have been great if someone had alerted me that the ID was left behind in the remaining 1-2 days of my stay. Anyway, I got it back after providing my payment info.

Excellent location: just a block away from the train station. Plenty of restaurants that open till late at night. Parking is expensive about $60 per night on site at the hotel. You can probably find some off site garages for cheaper. Room is very spacious and clean. Housekeeping is on time and on point. Will book again.

Wonderful three night stay in a great downtown location. Fast check in, fast elevators, and a comfortable room (and bed). Good shower, with strong water pressure and lots of hot water. Excellent breakfast buffet in the lobby restaurant. Well stocked shop on premises. Nice (really large) lobby. Big shout out to the lobby staff -- front desk and concierge/front door folks -- all of whom were very customer service oriented, but I wanted to specifically say a big "thanks" to Greg (see photo). Greg repeatedly, and cheerfully, answered my questions regarding places to eat, places to visit, directions, and generally enhanced my 3 day/3night stay. I travel 30+ days/nights or so each year. Greg will be someone I remember and one of the reasons I will stay at this property again, next time I am in Atlanta. Nicely done Hyatt! A very satisfied Hyatt Globalist.

I had a delightful stay at the Hyatt Regency. Very nice location with plenty of food and drink options. Spacious conference center too. Walking distance from all the downtown sights too.

Located right downtown, the Hyatt Regency is close to everything that the area has to offer. A walk of just a little over a half mile will take you to Centennial Olympic Park, the College Football Hall of Fame, the Georgia World Congress Center as well as the typical shopping and dining. The building itself is impressive. Easily identifiable by its rotating restaurant, Polaris (open Wednesday through Saturday) at its apex, the inside is a bright and bold expression in modern Brutalism. The rooms ring the center of the building which is highlighted by a large wire sculpture that erupts from beneath the lobby floor as well as a large bank of glass elevators that all face outward. Lights are tasteful while large planters of vines can be found hanging on each floor. The downside of this open, concrete cube is that if you're on one of the lower floors, the sound of the restaurant and bar continues to funnel up into the night until closing. I heard people laughing and talking until 2 a.m. on a Monday night. If you're a light sleeper, I would recommend ear plugs. The rooms themselves are clean and well appointed. In the main tower (there is a second Radius tower that I'm not familiar with as I didn't stay there), each room has a balcony to go out and enjoy the air. There weren't any chairs or anything, but you can get air. The beds are comfortable, probably medium firmness, and sheets are soft. The pillows are useless, but that's not atypical for hotels. The room came with a large TV, safe, and small refrigerator. The microwave was down a dark hallway on the floor with a sign that clearly marked "Microwave". I guess it makes sense, but I though it was funny. The towels had seen better days. They were a little rough and clearly cleaned for disinfection rather than softness and one of mine had a small hole in the middle. Shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, and body lotion were all in pump bottles in the room, which I like better than the wastefulness of individual packaging. Water pressure and temperature were both good. I did take issue with the light switch for the entryway to my room. The sleeping/TV/sitting area was broken up from the entryway/bathroom by a wall, but an open doorway. That doorway lined up with the heads of the beds. I couldn't turn off the entryway light, so it stayed on all night, going right across my eyes. Along with your ear plugs, maybe a sleep mask if you have trouble with light. Service was good! Checking in and out were a breeze. The guest service desk wasn't always staffed, but they did provide me with a bag check and a complimentary razor due to my forgetting to pack one. The fitness area is well set up and offers a lot more than your typical hotel gym! They offer a small market to compliment the restaurant/bar. There's meeting rooms, a pool, blah, blah, blah. You can see their amenities page. Anyhow, good stay, but it wasn't the best sleep I've had. I would definitely consider again when I'm in town.

I stayed here for 4 nights & was pleased with everything. The location was downtown & there happened to be a rock festival @ Piedmont Park, so it was very crowded in the surrounding areas. The pros: room cleaned daily, great location, although I didn't use it, the gym was very nice, quick elevator & courteous staff. Cons: the loud air conditioner unit. Each time it would come on it sounded like a shower was running on the floor above. There were a few minor things. The in room safe wouldn't lock & telephone wasn't working, but they were fixed right away. Also, I asked for a quiet room & although the room was away from the elevator & bar, the street noise could be heard. Having a room with a balcony & facing the street, I could hear people, music & loud cars even though I was on the 12th floor. I guess that couldn't be helped. Lastly, $60 dollars a night to valet park. I don't know if that's the going rate to park downtown, but that's expensive. Valet guys were great though! Overall, I would definitely choose this hotel again.

Quality/Quantity - Overall a good size hotel. Room was fine, decent size. Typical amenities; room safe, iron board, fridge, sofa chaise, small work station, etc. Our room also had a decent view. Huge conference facility, a floor below the lobby. Good size bar/restaurant in the lobby. Several restaurants in the lobby. Twenty two stories lobby bar, sway restaurant, polaris (see other Yelp review). Atmosphere - One of the major hotels in downtown Atlanta. But be safe, as the people outside of the hotel can be very "aggressive." This hurt this review the most. Location, location, location... Events - See website. Open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Service - Good. Check in and out was smooth. We declined room service a few times. When they did make the room, it was okay. Valet parking available, starting at $55. See picture for parking rates. Price - $800 for 3 nights. Expensive, especially for Atlanta. I think we came during "peak" season. Also a major golf tournament was happening. Masters? Sorry, I have not been keeping up. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success at this location since 1967 and being one of the major hotels in downtown Atlanta. Congrats on Hyatt's success since 1957 and with your 1335+ hotels. Other brands owned by Hyatt - Miraval, Alila, Andaz (one of our favorite hotels in downtown Napa), Thompson, Dream, etc. Some resorts owned by Hyatt - Impression by Secrets, Zoetry, Secrets, Breathless, Dreams, Alua, Sunscape, etc. 1962 - Went public. 1968 - Went international. 1979 & 1982 - Went back private.

We stayed here for a few days, and, overall, it was pretty pleasant. From the exterior, it didn't seem much, but when you step inside, I loved the exposed balconies on the multiple floors - it literally looked like the hotel was built around a few buildings! Rooms were clean and every well-stocked; housekeeping did an amazing job in tidying up the room on a daily basis. Front staff were friendly and efficient; the concierge/guest services, while nice, didn't offer great recommendations. It seemed as if the hotel just partnered up with businesses near by and just referred to one another. Note that the elevators are the exposed capsules, so if you're afraid of heights, this may be an issue! Not much to do in this area, but there was a restaurant or two that we were okay with. +clean rooms +friendly service

Stayed here for a conference I had due to its proximity to the conference and also because I generally enjoy staying at the Hyatt. The elevators in the hotel were super slow and sometimes it would take 10 minutes just to get an elevator to your floor. I ended up taking the stairs one of those days from the 10th floor. The hotel was on the older side. The room was spacious but the patio was all rusty and you couldn't open the door (safety reasons). The mirror in the bathroom was slanted and the walls were not soundproof as you could hear everything next door and in the hallways. On my last night, I woke up around 1 am as the room smelled like marijuana. I turned the AC higher to see if the smell would go away because I did not want to deal with switching rooms at a late hour before my flight. The smell did eventually dissipated. The hotel gym was actually a decent size. It was near a bridge to a food court nearby which had a lot of shopping mall like food vendors.

This is the same building that houses popular Atlanta restaurant Empire State South on its ground floor. Ever seen the movie The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)? This place reminds me of the scene where Leonardo DiCaprio and Matthew McConaughey had lunch, high above the Manhattan skyline. Video: https://youtu.be/wM6exo00T5I. It's got an old-fashioned, formal, elegant setting; like a nice country club without the golf, tennis, and swimming pool. In other words, it's a city club and it's got some magnificent views of Midtown. There were several beautiful spaces to the club and I believe we had access to them all. The entrance had a coat check and was nicely decorated with wreaths and Christmas nutcrackers. There was a small study in front with an absolutely gorgeous Christmas tree. The main doors led to a bar area with lots of standing and seating room. The bar connected to various dining rooms/spaces (I counted five). Just about every room had terrific views of the city. There was also a covered patio with tables, seating, heat lamps, and illuminated snowflake decor for the holiday season. The patio is the best place to take in the views. Photo: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-peachtree-club-atlanta?select=C8BsutGj3QGmsegeybIrjA. The patio is located on the north side of the building, so the main view faces north up Peachtree Street towards the PwC tower. One criticism I have about the patio is the coverage wasn't very good. Our party took place on a cold, wet Saturday night (6pm to 10pm) and drops of water were still falling onto us from above. Another small critique I have is there were only two heat lamps for the entire patio and one of them wasn't working (it may have run out of gas). A nice touch I liked was the basket of shawls placed by the patio door in case anyone needed a wrap for warmth. Catering was not provided by a third party, but by the club itself. There were four dinner stations set up inside. Two were manned. I liked how the stations were spread out to avoid crowding issues. I believe the guest list was about 120-130. The bar got pretty crowded during cocktail hour, but spacing was more comfortable once dinner was served. Seating was a bit tight at dinner. The tables were white tablecloth with candles and centerpieces. Here were the stations and menu items: Asian Station - Vegetable fried rice - Chicken sate (satay) with peanut dipping sauce - Thai vegetable noodle bowl - Pork pot stickers with dipping sauce - Fried wontons - Edamame with sea salt Rudolph Riviera (staffed by chef/server) - Crispy garlic bread - Penne pasta with chicken in a garlic cream sauce Under the Christmas Tree (staffed by chef/server) - Bacon-wrapped turkey tenderloin over butternut squash-scented risotto - Sage-crusted pork loin over celery-whipped potatoes - Cranberry chutney Dessert Station - Various cake and brownie bites, tarts, cream puffs, and more In general, I thought the food was OK. The pot stickers and penne pasta were my favorite items. The penne pasta was served out of a cheese wheel for presentation purposes. The noodles at the Asian Station looked more like a pasta dish than a Thai dish. Not really authentic. The noodles were prepared with a coconut sauce. The turkey and pork station was manned by a chef from Italian restaurant Campagnolo, which is located just a couple blocks east of the club. He works as a chef for both Campagnolo and The Peachtree Club. Admittedly, I do think the food I've had from local caterers like Affairs to Remember and Bold American Events has been better. There was an open bar with friendly bartenders. After dinner, there were no servers serving coffee nor was there a coffee station. Instead, coffee was served at the bar, which I thought was interesting (and uncommon, in my experience). In general, I thought all of the staff did a fantastic job, from the managers to the coat check lady. We brought in Cobalt Strings (https://www.yelp.com/biz/cobalt-strings-atlanta) to perform live holiday music. We had this same trio perform at our holiday party last year at the Atlanta History Center. They are that good. The Peachtree Club opened in 1989.
