I travel a fair amount and usually find myself at different Hyatt properties at least twice a month. It was my first time at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington as I recently moved to Bellevue and have been looking for a local hotel to take the family to join a change in scenery without the need to hop on a plane. The service I received here was the best I have ever experienced. Chloe at the front desk was seriously world class. She went out of her way to not only upgrade my say but offered to take me to each upgrade option so I could look at the view and make a decision without regrets. She also shared some booking "tips" if I were ever considering booking a stay during certain holidays. Chloe and the front desk staff also welcome my wife and children with the same level of hospitality. The warm kindness stayed with us throughout our entire staff. Of course, other properties I was fortunate to stay at like Park Hyatt NY, Park Hyatt Maldives, Milan etc have great service, but I do feel like the front desk staff and Chloe in particular are in a league of their own. Came here for a wedding and stayed two nights. Pretty location overlooking lake Washington. Nestled a few businesses like a boba shop within walking distance. Otherwise, a car is recommended. 1. Hotel Rooms - The rooms were pretty clean and nicely designed. The room had an open closet area that did a good job of helping us store our luggage and belongings versus a traditional closed closet. The room came with a fridge and they do not give our free water daily. The room was clean and we had hard surface floors which is really nice versus carpets especially in a high traffic hotel. 2. Parking - depending on where you chose to park in the large underground structure, you may have a pretty long walk to your room. Would suggest that you look for the hotel entrance and payment areas and then find a spot closer to that. As a hotel guest you do get in and out privileges. 3. Hotel staff - We actually lost our rental car keys which we later discovered that our friend accidentally took. The hotel didn't really go above and beyond in trying to help us. They were professional and did the bare minimum, thus why the hotel just gets 3 stars. They couldn't even extend our check out time so that we could scour the room further to look for our keys. The front desk didn't really guide us in terms of key people to ask in the hotel to help us trace our steps. They simply said no we can't extend your check out and nothing has been turned in. I had to go down to the restaurant to find the manager to see if anything had been picked up. Would have expected some more empathy especially when we were panicking looking around for our keys. read more

Had a great stay here! The hotel itself and surrounding area is gorgeous. We had a view with a room and it was absolutely worth the extra cost (especially with a AAA discount). The checkin and checkout process was all online and super easy. Could not have been a more streamlined booking experience. Only thing that keeps it from being a full 5 stars is the quality of the food at their grab and go food stop. The frittata and breakfast sandwich tasted very old and were not up to par with the amazing vibe of the hotel. Would recommend ordering food in or going to a nearby restaurant. Second year here and another great experience. All staff members were super friendly and helpful. Room for improvement: 1) the motion sensor night light in the sleeping area needs a way to turn it off. It was super bright and woke up others when anyone got up. We ended up covering it up the 2nd night. 2) The only towel rack in the bathroom is on the door to the toilet area, not close to the shower. For a family of 4, we ended up hanging our towels on the coat hangers inside the front door which is definitely not close to the shower. Basically we had to drip water all over the floor to get to our towels. Otherwise, a great stay with another delicious dinner at Water Table. Pool and gym are also great. read more

I recently spoke on the phone with Christopher Aston who was extremely rude, racist and discriminatory in laughing at me to my face based on how I read and interpret the English language. It was the most egregious and disturbing experience I have ever encountered by someone in a leadership role. I would highly recommend some training. The people's institute on undoing institutional racism would be a great start especially for someone in the pacific northwest. read more

What an absolutely fantastic place to stay this past week! This hotel and the staff completely blew my expectations out of the water. From the beautiful lake front location, to the friendly and very timely valets, easy check in/out, variety of food options in house, and the room itself! I wish I could rate this place higher. Even upon checkout, when no carts were available, the manager herself came to our room to help us carry bags down! Talk about above and beyond service. We ate the restaurant for breakfast twice, both times were great. And the location can't be beat. I will absolutely be back and will recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. Really closer to a 3.5 than a four but I'll round up just because the place IS nice overall... The hotel is newer so everything is well decorated and fresh. Modern touches all throughout the lobby, beautiful views of Lake Washington from the ground level. Great location right off 405 so getting places is easy as it's all pretty centralized to Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma and even the airport. The rooms are very clean and updated with modern touches in the bathrooms, tasteful decor and big screen TVs on an adjustable wall mount. Small fridge and exposed closet and a safe. The swimming pool/hot tub area is very nice and large enough for people to space out and enjoy. Restaurants are all beautiful and the staff here are all very nice. Really makes it a 4 star hotel for the looks and experience. The dock of stars... We didn't ask for a room with a view but we did get a room with a partial view of the lake the main view straight on is of the Boeing factory - at at 10am there was a lot of noise that came through our window of powerdrilling/grinding noises, so that was rather unwelcoming considering we had a long night and wanted to sleep in a bit. The parking garage is across the way from the hotel so it's a bit of a walk from car to room - so I opted to pay the $28/night for valet services. You can pre-order meals via the internet - but despite pre-ordering food 30 minutes in advance from the Market Cafe downstairs... when we came down to pick it up, we still had to wait another 30 minutes as they said they like to make things fresh (so no point in ordering in advance). In addition too, just like most hotels - food is not cheap and always okay tasting but never amazing. $15 for a burger, $28 for fried chicken and french toast. It's better to ubereats/doordash as they are allowed to deliver straight to your room or just venture out to the Landing as there are plenty of options for dining within a half mile walk. Wi-Fi is complimentary but only good enough for light surfing, emails, some social media but to do any type of work you have to pay for faster speeds. All in all - a nice place to stay, reasonably (base) priced compared to other options. Would stay here again but I also wouldn't mind spending a little more for more luxury and a quieter place to sleep in next time around. read more

This is well appointed Hyatt - the location is a bit wonky... abutting the Boeing manufacturing facility. Our room literally looked over a giant hanger. But the real view is from the back of the hotel which boarders Lake Washington. The Sunsets are spectacular. There are still some COVID policies in place. Your room will only cleaned if you request it each day... and that sometimes happened and sometimes did not. I also did notice some trash lingering in the hallway all day and into the next morning. This said the rooms are really quite nice. All said however, it was a positive hotel experience. You should note the hotel really isn't close to anything. You can walk to a mall for a variety of chain restaurants... there is a beach grill and an Ivar's in the wonderful park next door. You're about a $40-60 Uber ride from downtown Seattle and about a $30 ride from the airport. read more

I was stuck between 4 and 5 stars. 4 because there were just a few little hiccups, but 5 because they were able to remedy all of them. So, I guess 4.5? We took a quick staycation here and used the offer Night in. Our toddler loved that there was a teepee in the room when arrived! The concierge was very responsive to text requests- more blankets and the included S'mores and wine. We did not have a microwave, but no one in our family cared, as the S'mores components were delicious separately. The adults loved the marshmallows and the toddler couldn't get enough of the chocolate and graham crackers. We were able to check in and out online. We also were able to request a crib when we made the reservation. We did have to stop by the front desk to pick up/drop off keys, but service was prompt and friendly. The only other weird thing is that we were charged $30+, presumably for the wine and treats. However, a few quick email exchanges resolved this efficiently as well. The room was awesome, the service was great, and we did not need reservations for the pool and hot tub. Plus, free parking. Our toddler is a bit picky food wise, so we opted not to eat at the restaurants there. But, the Landing is very close by and had plenty of choices. It was a fun treat for our family and we look forward to doing it again soon. It would be fun to come to the spa too. Still a gorgeous hotel and it seems from last time we were here they changed the parking situation to something, imo, better. I don't recall exactly but last time we were confused and ended up underground somewhere we probably weren't supposed to be lol. This time, there is paid parking right across from the Hyatt grand entrance, easy to spot, with signage, and with on-the-ground arrows and paint as well. It's by mobile app but very easy once you get it set up. The only bummer was we were there exactly two hours and got the voucher from Hyatt and still got charged cuz it put us over one minute. Sigh. Well anyway, cool that Hyatt offers a voucher (via QR code). They also have valet which, whew, that valet works hard parking the car RIGHT IN THE SAME PLACE YOU DROVE UP TO. (I'm sure when it gets more crowded they actually have to drive the cars somewhere). This time we noted the downstairs restaurant that stays open while the upstairs restaurant is closed between brunch and dinner, so that's a great option, with a sunny enclosed patio (clear enclosure). We had a convention set up at this hotel on Saturday and i was impressed with a lot of things this hotel had to offer. The view is absolutely breathtaking and the hotel is clean. However, it seems like it's hidden and trying to find the self parking is a hassle, also it's a long walk. We had rooms booked for our guests who came from different states with luggage's. There were valet but no bellman, i have been to a lot of hotels and even those with 2 stars provide bellman service. I was confused because i didn't expect this from Hyatt so i went inside trying to get more information. The front desk verified that their bellman doesn't work that day. That left me even more confused on how this type of hotel would rely on one Bellman..go figure.. She then offered us the bell cart and we loaded our own carts, pushed our own carts to our room and gave ourselves a tip and pat on the back.. read more

Okay, so i love the Grand Hyatt downtown Seattle, it's our favorite, in the heart of the city, but we've been wantng to stay here for a while, we finally did and it was AMAZING! Great customer service, comfortable, very clean room and hotel, on lake washington which was gorgeous, next to a park, it was just great. The only reason why i didn't give it 5 stars is because it's away from everything, which was nice, but had to go find food, no grocery store within walking distance, and we weren't interested in their restaurant (except for the bagel/coffee shop). My wife and I stayed at this hotel over a long weekend right before the pandemic. It's a lovely hotel, only built a couple of years prior. Everything was very new and clean. We loved the fact that the hotel is right by Lake Washington. Our room had a lake view so we could see gorgeous views all day long. We could even see Seattle all the way across the water. It was especially fun to see the Boeing factory right next door, building and transporting their new planes and watching them take off for test flights over the lake. We also saw some speedboats pull up to our dock. We spent a lot of time in the Regency club. The lounge is very spacious and full of large windows to view the lake. The sunsets here are spectacular. There are also some hiking/jogging trails that takes you along the lake for some great sightseeing. We are World of Hyatt members so it's a great value to stay here on points. Overall it's a great hotel if you want to just get away from the city and relax. read more

Upon check-in, we received a waterfront room. Unfortunately, we didn't arrive at the hotel until after 9pm, and then we departed at 3:00am, so we didn't get a chance to see it. The woman who checked us in at the Guest Services counter was very warm and friendly. She thanked me for choosing to stay here on my visit to Seattle, she also asked me if I had everything I needed for my stay. Check-in went smooth and easy. Parking was only via Valet. There is also paid self-service parking in the garage near the hotel. The self-service parking has easy underground entry into the hotel; however, you do need your guest key to open the doors. The condition of the hotel was great. Everything looked and felt new. Our room looked and smelled fantastic. We had two double beds, and the room was very spacious. Everything was clean and there was great water pressure in the shower. The beds and pillows felt like laying on clouds. Each bed came with a total of 4 pillows. Two of the pillows were feather. Very comfortable. The rooms were very quiet and we never heard any other guests. The price of the hotel is very affordable too, for a Sunday night we paid $173.00 plus tax. It was definitely worth every penny for a great night's rest in a quiet, clean, comfortable room. Unfortunately, since we departed early, we didn't get a chance to see any of the amenities, or eat breakfast here. Also, since we arrived after 9pm and departed at 3am, our parking was 100% free. Can't bet that! The Hotel is also a short drive to the SeaTac airport. At 3am it only took us about 17 minutes to get to the rental car return center at the airport. Tip: If you are leaving the Hyatt Regency and headed to SeaTac airport Rental Car Return center, make sure you fill up your rental car close to the hotel. The gas prices near SeaTac were sky high, some gas stations were charging $5 per gallon...No Joke. If you fill up near the hotel, you will still be on a full tank by the time you reach the Rental Car Return center. I highly recommend this Hyatt; I only wish we had more time to stay here and enjoy it. If I'm ever back in Seattle again, this will definitely be my go-to choice for lodging. read more

The holidays are wearing me down so I snagged the lake view for an extra treat. When I walked into my room there were some things that were a bit odd and I called the front desk. The hotel manager answered my call and I was treated so kindly and warm. After I Told her about my room the manager immediately switched me to a new room with the same view. I cannot say enough about the hotel. Quiet room, sleek interior and an amazing view. The one thing I will say is avoid food at "The Market". I ordered a burger and for $20 I could have lit a match with the bun it was so dry and tasteless. Do yourself a favor and just walk a little to Ivars or Kid Valley. Love this hotel! read more

Recently stay here for a business trip, impressed their service from Valet parking boy, front desk, the regular staff I asked for direction, they are friendly and very accommodating especially Harrison of the front desk. He's been so helpful. The rooms are very modern and clean with great amenities. My room facing the lake with such a beautiful lake view, I really enjoyed staying in the room, watching the sunset at the evening. The only real negative is that you have to pay for parking which is not very convenient. I will definitely recommend this hotel when you're in Seattle, WA. Despite how many times I have been to the restaurant I never stayed at the hotel and never felt correct in writing a review. I had my parents stay here and my best friend's mom stayed here but I did not. Until today. Why today? Well, the perfect storm of me working from home often in conference calls for hours on end combined with my apartment complex's annual fire alarm inspection test drove me to find quieter grounds. I had asked Carly if they had day use rooms and she helped me reserve one. Today I was able to arrive at 6 AM, check in and use the room to do work while I could hear my complex's fire alarms blare in the distant background. It was very nice! I enjoyed that the toilet was separated from the rest of the bathroom. I thought the little tea pot was great even tho I didn't use it. The internet connection never failed me and it was so quiet for the most part that there were a few times I struggled to stay awake during the particularly monotone meetings. I thought the room was very comfortable and at 3:30 PM I checked out and left. I appreciated the Hyatt's ability to accommodate my unusual request. read more

Overall our five night stay was great. The hotel amenities are fantastic, the gym is honestly one of the better ones I've used in a hotel. However, the front lobby staff need some serious training during my five night six day stay I wasn't greeted once, even when the lobby was empty or even met with a smile. I was looked up and down every time I walked by to get to elevators, I've never experienced that at a "nicer" hotel. Lastly, the pillows were sooooo uncomfortable they should look into that. Overall though I would recommend due to location, amenities, food, and views. The cleaning staff was super nice and more welcoming than front desk. We attempted to extend our stay as we awaited keys to our new home but were told the hotel was completely booked, we were disappointed, so clearly enjoyed our stay! read more

This place has a parking scam. Basically employees here will tell you there is free parking, but when you go to leave it's not free. Surprise! This is a consistent problem that they will not correct. One party says it's free and the other party says it's not and when you complain the other party says it's not our fault they are somebody else. A classic blame shift and because they know it's happening and do nothing about it and borders on malicious. This has been happening for months Management 1. please train all of your stuff to set proper expectations for the cost of parking and be precise on days and hours 2. Don't blame shift, you hired the parking people, they are awful, deal with it and make sure to protect your brand from bad reviews like this that ultimately you are accountable for. 3. Parking people and especially the girl on the intercom hung up on us. Maybe this is not your calling? Perhaps something that is not involve honesty, communication, working with people. 4. People running the restaurants. Learn how your parking works and set better expectations for your customers so they do not have to go through repeated rip off when leaving. This place was beautiful! A Hotel that is tucked away next to lake Washington. To me it felt like going back to prom all over again. From the staircase going up to the third floor where the wedding was. The arch where you take pictures reminded me of highschool. Food was excellent! had the Grilled Filet Mignon which was cooked perfectly to a medium rare.. Wife had the Roasted Pacific Salmon with was pretty good but not the best. Leg of Rabbit was a little on the ferry side Kurobuta pork chop was excellent and on point. Parking was little tough to find due to 2 weddings going on at the same time. I would suggest to go park underground since there is a entrance to the hotel from down there. The view from the third floor was spectacular! Service was over the top good. Waiters and waitresses was all super super nice. We even had a thunderstorm that rolled in and ppl was all recording which I thought was a little weird since I'm from Utah. Wow. I've haven't been this excited about a Hyatt Regency hotel since like...forever? And yet, this gem of a hotel located in Renton, Washington is as exciting as brand new Grand Hyatt/Park Hyatt. Not only is it a relatively new hotel, but the views you get...it's worth more than what you would normally pay for! The Hyatt Regency Lake Washington, in my honest opinion, is such an underrated hotel in Seattle. Located just a few miles away from the Sea-Tac airport and 11 miles away from downtown Seattle, I couldn't picture why people wouldn't want to spend their travel lodgings here instead. This is when using Chase Points to Hyatt comes in handy, with the hotel being only 12,000 points! Of course, this matters if the price of the hotel is under $120, to which then it wouldn't make much sense. I checked in online through my Hyatt app around 10am, and when I arrived at the hotel, check-in was a breeze. You can do valet parking, but self-parking is easy and a breeze, and a quick walk underground. Even though the bulk majority of the hotel was booked for a dance conference, my Explorist status gave me an upgrade to a corner lake view on the 9th floor. The room itself is fantastic for a Hyatt Regency. With a plush Hyatt Grand King bed, a huge 65% LG TV, a portable luggage rack and a nice lounge station for people to relax on, I was instantly comfortable with this. I'm really digging how Hyatt is investing more time with the quality of the furnitures themselves. These rooms average around 330 square feet, which I deem more than reasonable. The bathroom is literally on a Park Hyatt level. Dual waterfall and shower heads make for a perfect compliment after a long work day, and then modern décor made the bathroom feel a lot bigger. In addition, the design of an open closet makes it so much easier to unpack when you got a ton of gear! Very handy for big families as well, I reckon! The section of the room has a corner view of the lake, which isn't bad - one caveat is that other folks may also peer into your windows and vice versa. Still, the lounge chair is great to watch the sunset, if you're lucky in Seattle... The place is great for a nice run/walk, since there is a nearby park and trails that lead around the lake. Downstairs is the pool and spa, which is also handsomely built. Sadly, I wasn't able to take pictures as there were people swimming in them. I had dinner at Water's Table, which is located on the lobby floor of the hotel. Located with some insane views of the lake, this places adds a romantic vibe with outdoor and indoor seating. Personally, I thought dinner was great, compared to the lackluster breakfast buffet. If you're thinking of visiting Seattle or Mt. Rainier in the near future, you may actually want to consider this hotel as your home base. Bottom line the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington has the hard product of any Grand/Park Hyatts and has a view that can't be found anywhere else in Washington. In essence, I would take the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington over the Hyatt Olive 8, Grand Hyatt and the Hyatt Regency Seattle any day. Cheaper parking, quiet location, serene views of the lake and a nice place to wine and dine makes this a no brainer and a gem for those visiting Seattle in the near future! read more

Although I'm sure the parking garage is not Hyatt-specific, it is still important to know that the new payment system it uses is beyond creepy. Once a person signs up, the company that runs it will have a verified link between the owner and the car due to automatic license plate recognition. They will be able to track movements of people between all properties they operate their service at. Although the company literature states that they have never used this data for marketing purppsesor sold the data to interested third parties, their terms of service specifically allows them to do just that whenever they want. So I walk in the hotel to scope it out as I have a bride that has booked the presidential suite for 3 nights stay as well as her bridal party's rooms. The hotel is unbelievably stunning. Lake Washington as your backdrop, modern wood decor surrounding the lobby, a stairwell that would be any brides dream for photos, and a photographers heaven for lighting. I left my business card with the front desk as it was after hours in hopes of getting a call back. Unfortunately that did not happen, so I called on the next business day and missed the wedding coordinator in office, so I left a message hoping again, to get a callback. I am not sure what it would have taken to get a call back but apparently we were not at the top of the list as it did not happen. On my final attempt to connect with the wedding coordinator, I was told by staff that he was not available to talk to me and as long as I took photos before 11:00 am that I could use the grounds. He would not take my call to even allow me to introduce myself. Understanding that other events are taking place, I only wanted to coordinate with someone and make sure that we were not interrupting. We were able to get some fabulous shots with the ambiance that we had, with no help from the staff at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. My boyfriend and I stayed for the first time in mid March. Lovely stay, they upgraded us to a corner view room on the 9th floor. We had dinner at Waters, their upscale lake view restaurant. Overpriced ($32 for a glass of wine), but food was delicious and great service. Only issue this first stay was the group below us on the 8th floor partying with loud musics, loud voices, and smoking pot until 3:30 am out on their patios. My boyfriend so enjoyed our stay he booked a night to celebrate my upcoming birthday in late April. A full month ahead he took time to call and book the same amazing room type, requesting the opposite side of the building, on the corner, and asked for the 10th floor so we'd be a bit higher above the patio suites on the 8th floor this time around. He was assured everything was set per his requests. We arrived today to what has been a very unpleasant and disappointing stay so far, and we only checked in 3 hours ago, The room he booked is NOT what we were given. No corner views, no bath tub, on the 7th floor. First disappointment. And no, the hotel is fully booked so no option to change rooms, no Offer to credit anything, even though he's been a Hyatt member for years. We go down to the lobby, thinking we'll get a bite to eat at the restaurant or the downstairs bar. Nope, the bar is mysteriously closed, front desk knows nothing about why, and the restaurant apparently closes mid day for several hours. While we're trying to figure out what to do, we realize the groups of people all over the main lobby and hallways....only about 20% have on masks, in King County, WA, which has a public mask mandate. I complain to the the front desk who seems surprised. We end up eating elsewhere and come back late afternoon to take a short nap. Cue the giant party right outside our windows 5 floors down playing music so loud we can hear it clearly in our room. Non stop. Apparently there's some big event in a tent with dance music. Which we weren't warned about. So, to sum up our very expensive get way weekend: Hyatt doesn't give us the room we booked a month ahead of time. Their restaurants aren't available for diners. They're not enforcing the Washington state mask mandates. Apparently it's fine to have loud events that impact multiple paying guests with no advanced notice. I'm extremely disappointed at the money and time we committed to this hotel. I will not stay here again. Beware, if you want a quiet hotel, this isn't the one. read more

Promote Josh! My wife and I flew to Seattle to attend a baby shower held at this location. First off every aspect from the location to amenities and rooms were first rate by far. But my feedback is specific to one employee who was a guest information/customer assistance at the hotel entrance before you approach the hotel desk area- Josh. He gave us the most enthusiastic, gracious greeting followed up informative assistance for our chilly and slightly overwhelmed demeanor. His attitude was layered with motivation, willingness and professional regard for our needs. Why did this stand out to me? Well the backdrop to our presence was numerous events taking place simultaneously coupled by 100's of other visible guests whom had already crossed his weary but undefeated brow. He mustered every cell in his body to make us feel like we were the first and only guest he encountered that afternoon. I would completely hire him away (but I'm retired). He needs a higher and more challenging position that pushes his aptitude before someone else recruits him from You Hyatt. Please acknowledge his efforts!
