Interurban Hotel is located approximately 10 minutes away from SeaTac International Airport in Tukwila. Simple and contemporary hotel design, this hotel was booked very last minute because The Seahawks had a victory parade in downtown Seattle which overbooked a lot of downtown hotels. With a very short drive to and from the airport, you have many restaurants and shopping to choose from in the Tukwila area compared to staying near or around SeaTac. Luckily rooms were available. Very clean and comfortable, I didn't get to use all the facilities as this was just an overnight stay. My room had 2 double beds, mini fridge, large TV, black out curtains, medium size bathroom with plenty of extra towels, coffee maker, iron & ironing board, equipped with central air con and an in-room safe for securing your belongings. Front desk was extremely warm and welcoming. Nearby eateries such as Westfield SouthCenter Mall, Cheesecake Factory, Olive Garden, Nordstrom, AMC Theaters, and many other restaurants and businesses. At the time of check-out mid-afternoon, the surrounding area seemed very suburban and many business establishments all around. I wasn't awake in time for complimentary breakfast as I had come in from a very long and tiring flight the day before. But should have woke up at least an hour before it stopped serving breakfast at 10am. read more

Got the corner king room on the 11th floor. Was spacious. Bathroom was basic with a tub. Parking isn't free. It is $15 a day. I really liked the location since it was nearby Southcenter mall. Breakfast buffet was decent with pineapple, cantaloupe, biscuit and gravy, scrambled eggs and sausage. Also got free orange juice. Also went into the heated pool. Relaxing stay overall. read more

The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and so was the pillow. Our stay came with a free breakfast at the restaurant downstairs, which was very decent. Price was reasonable. I did not receive the room I paid for. Absolutely disappointing as the room I chose and paid for looked amazing. I arrived before 4pm and the front desk told me my room was not ready and I would receive an alert once it was ready; this Never happened even after the person confirmed my phone. I'm an avid traveler to the Seattle area for business and pleasure and would not recommend staying at this establishment. Lots of better options available in the area. read more

4 stars for location close to airport. 0 stars for customer service. I started out at the Interurban a happy camper. Cute little spot with a bar and coffee shop. They first gave me the wrong room, no biggie the young guy corrected it and seen I was huffing and puffing with all my luggage, so have me a free drink at the bar. Day 2 I was woken up with the fire alarms flickering, and making a ton of noise. The noise was continuous, not just a few beeps. I called the front desk and she said there's nothing they can do and talk to the manager at 7. Later I go down to talk to the manager and he said sorry from the bottom of my heart. That was it. I had been sitting up since 5am, I wasn't asking for a discount, they could have accommodated me with another room that didn't have a malfunctioning alarm. No proper steps were taken. He could have offered anything ,but instead looked at me like what else can I help you with. He could have offered a complementary breakfast, a coffee, but zero care attitude was worth the review. I travel a lot and will not be back. Sad, but customer service is big for me. read more

I had an excellent stay here at the Hotel Interurban. With the wonderful customer service from NYI at the front desk my daughter and my stay was very comfortable and accommodated. NYI and youssef were able to answer all of our questions and help us with finding places nearby. Unfortunately, we did not have the same experience from the rendition restaurant. You are provided with a buffet breakfast from this restaurant as part of a package with your room. My daughter and I received horrible treatment from them among being ignored. I would not recommend this place because of the treatment we received even though the food was delicious. The only one that stood out and helped my daughter and I out was Jonathan. Otherwise our stay at the hotel was quite lovely and we will recommend it to many of our friends and family for future stays. read more

Here's an honest breakdown: * Costs and Amenities: Parking is $15/day, and rooms average $170/night. You must use your room key to access the elevator, which adds security but can be inconvenient. There was no ice machine on our floor, and we had to call housekeeping for basic supplies like toilet paper and tissues. * Breakfast: While breakfast is included for two guests, the food was lukewarm and basic--French toast or pancakes, bacon or chicken sausage, eggs, potatoes, bagels, and oatmeal. Unfortunately, it's dine-in only; you're not allowed to take food to your room. Room service was similarly inconvenient--if you need cutlery, you're required to pick it up yourself. * Work Environment: If you're planning to work during your stay, this hotel may not be the best choice. The music in common areas is loud, there's no dedicated business center, and the seating in the lobby is more suited for socializing than working. * Room Features: Rooms don't include microwaves unless requested, and the café microwave is only available until 4 PM. The décor is basic, lighting is dull, and the TV lacks smart features--you're stuck with a basic scroll menu and cable. * Customer Service Issues: The most frustrating part of our stay was being overcharged by $110 due to a misunderstanding about early check-in. 3.5 stars. Cute quirky hotel! My partner and I stayed here for a few nights while exploring Seattle. After picking up our rental car at the airport, we called and Hotel Interurban said they don't do early check-ins. They held our luggage instead while we explored a nearby park and some eateries. Customer service is not bad. I loved our room and the random exercise equipment available for those morning workouts we never did. Some random notes. Plenty of parking out front and around the side. In our room, the brightness of the bathroom mirror was jarring, and the sink drained slow. Housekeeping attempted to clean our room at 4pm, which was unusual. I appreciate that we were given food vouchers for the decent on-property restaurant Rendition. Their cafe closes at 3pm though. Lots of random hits and misses, but overall I would stay here again. read more

Hotel is modern and minimalistic so it better for allergy sensitive people like myself. Towels and bathroom are cleaner that most hotels, but the need to vacuum more as we changed rooms due to excessive lint and dust. The next room was just a tad better but the chair was gross as there was a tooth paste stain on it. I liked that there were no carpets, but they need to vacuum better. I ended wiping down the chairs and surfaces for good measure. The staff was very attentive and best part of breakfast was a rice, mushroom and broccoli dish. When I showed the receipts, I was gaslight and told, the dispute should have brought this to Saî and Yosef (managers) attention at the time of check out. I DID show Yosef a screenshot proving the rate with the date but he said can you send me that later; he preferred to help another customer. Disappointing is the word that sums up my stay here. Pro: + The only positive is that this hotel is very clean as it is brand new. Cons: - The staff ate not trained well. None of them offered to help me with my luggage. They didn't even asked how my stay was when I was checking out. - They have signed a deal with Alaska Airlines (and possibly other airlines). Even when you are waiting in line to check in, they let those "special" guests cut in line. - It's in the middle of nowhere in Tukwila but they still charge you for parking: $15 plus tax per night. - They will try to sell you a breakfast buffet, but just don't buy it. It's "only" $10 but you only get bread, oatmeal, yogurt, and hard boiled eggs. I can't even call it a buffet (see my photo). If all you want is a clean room and you can put up with terrible service or lack of service, this could be an option the night before a flight out of SeaTac. One of the Best Hotel stats I've ever been! Sadly it was only one night, but the cleanliness and aesthetics of this place is top notch! Staff was friendly and the restaurant in the hotel is great tooo! But the room, the room! OMG, such a pleasant stay. Clean sheets, nicely prepared per guest and the bathroom was incredible. Everything was modern dated, state of the art and so simple. Just the way I like it! Matter of fact I took photos so I can personally do the same style in my home! Lol The bed was a king size that was comfy and had 5-6 pillows! Real pillows too! Non of that fake generic stuff. The towels was also of quality, not old or ratted. The floor was clean and the amenities inside like the fridge, the shelves and a cool chair was perfect! Lighting everywhere with the touch of a button, gorgeous window overlooking the views. But also the TV! Updated and has good selection of channels! Definitely coming back and staying there for any reason I can find! lol Reserve here and you won't be disappointed! I want to LOVE this place. But we got some work to do. First the pool. I didn't go in. The chlorine was overwhelming. Second the restaurant. When you order something and a server notices you did not eat the dish - they should ask... i paid and politely said to the server that I wanted to give feedback to the kitchen. Server started to apologize but let's face it - most of the world is wound pretty tight right now so being mindfully laid back about a meal that wasn't 100% when you have been there an hour and 1/2 and seen the staff get screamed at by wold-be postal people who need 2 assistant managers and a GM to calm them down... it was a heck of a night for this staff - through no fault of their own. Solid hotel with comfortable rooms, a good restaurant for breakfast, a convenient bar and some nice outdoor seating. Here for a meeting and it is very close to the airport for ease of back and forth. Perfectly suited for our needs and a place I would come back to. The rooms are clean, the bathrooms very functional with well lit vanities and good water pressure in the shower. Firstly, I want to say how kind all of the staff were during my check in process. They were friendly, greeted me whenever I'd walk by in the lobby, and generally very amenable. However, this review is mainly for the room/ breakfast situation. First off, the room is simple and accommodates my needs, however I was a little disappointed not to find a water vending machine on my floor, and really wish they'd do something about that because the last thing I want to do is have to go to the lobby in my pajamas in the middle of the night, lol. Secondly, the air circulation is out of this world insane. I'm normally an easy sleeper but the automatic vent system here made my mouth super dry to the point I had throat pain the next day. It's bizarre, I've never experienced that in one of the possibly hundred hotels I've traveled to before. Maybe it could use a good cleaning? Thirdly, their breakfast spot could use a major upgrade. I don't mind expensive prices for subpar food, I mean after all I'm eating at a hotel for the convenience not to pinch penny's, but this place is just verrrrry lackluster when it comes to flavor or food or really anything of that sort. If you're staying here and wondering if you should just eat here for the sake of saving gas, I'd say go with your gut and just eat out. Even McDonald's would've been tastier imo. read more

I have to be honest, at first, I was having mixed reviews about booking here because of previous reviews. I was happy I did! I love the simplified ambiance, and decorative style in the room as well as the lobby, and dining experience at "Rendition" located across from their lobby. I liked their complimentary breakfast not to mention the service. I felt welcomed and very well taken care of. The only downside I had for my stay was that there were no microwave in the rooms, which made it harder to warm up any food we had leftovers of. Loved this place. Newer hotel. Went for a conference and food was delicious. Regular and valet parking. Kind staff and smiling greeters helping direct visitors to confenrece rooms. Water, coffee and pastries for all during and between breaks. During meals the wait staff were friendly. Suggestions to hotel. Some rooms have deep scratches and for being a new hotel these should be fixed. Getting ice in a baggies seems strange and not sure why an ice machine was not available. Our floor ran out of ice and staff came to our room to delivered more. Loved robes, slippers and safe. I gave 5 star for location, price, staff, cleanliness and view of Mount Rainier was beautiful each day we stayed. read more

I was a little hesitant to book here because of the mixed reviews. However the room is pretty nice. My only complaints are that the room is pretty dark with all the lights on, as you see in the picture. Also there are not outlets by the head board and bed. Train employees to be customer sensitive. The Food and Service Manager Karen served cold coffee. When asked to bring another one, she replied "why do you need another one. You already have one in your hand." She was rude and disrespectful. The breakfast items were limited. We stayed here one night before an early flight......It is not cheap, you have to pay extra to park your car, the bed is super firm, it was like sleeping on a unit of lumber. It is very industrial, and no soft surfaces. It felt cold. The rooms are beautiful, the lobby is quaint, the conference rooms are spacious, the restaurant offers great and fresh food (Had Breakfast and dinner - Quinoa Beet and Mango Salad was amazing!!!), but it is connected to an apartment complex. If you take elevators like most people, this will be fine, but if you take the stairs like me, you can get stuck on the other side. Just a warning. A couple of other things: 1. There is a robot that delivers towels and toiletries - For real 2. The gym and pool are small but rarely is there anyone in there (This caters heavily to a business crowd) 3. Free wifi throughout 4. Pretty slick new facility. I've been watching it rise up in the Tukwila valley since I first saw the crane go up. Actually. an unfortunate (or fortunate) event one night had me consider opting for this place instead of everything else near ground level (well, compared to this tower). I pulled in here one recent drizzly evening on my motorcycle rental and the valets/front desk had no idea where I could (properly) park, much less whether or not they had ideal designated areas for motorized 2-wheel transportation. Minor area to improve. The check-in went cordial and smoothly followed by just as much for the check-out. The 10th FL room was solid and faced east, perfect for a peaceful gorgeous sunrise. There was a TV show/movie that I watched here for the first time in years but forgot it... The restaurant downstairs has some unique entrees; the main thing that caught my glance for a nice simple "finger fun" late nite healthy vegan snack was the Green Chickpea Edamame. It's a bit wet as they come in their fresh steamed pods (like a pea pod but much softer) but I enjoyed this; plenty of protein, fiber & nutrition. For the regular price, the price seems a bit inflated. The craftsmanship/upkeep of the interior design seems to be inconsistent. While you can find a posh & swish lobby waiting area with a Savioke Relay robot, you can also find cheap bland faux(?) abstract light fixtures in the elevator floor hallways (tap it and it wobbles, overall bland, and one of them on the 10th floor was missing a cylindrical screw), for example. The artwork throughout is nice, though. Everything else just seems kind of a stale modernism from a box design off a shelf. The main selling point is probably the tallest lodging for a few miles in all directions, proximity to the mall urban center, freeways and airport. read more

They also have a Starbucks, bar, and restaurant which is very useful when you're busy busy busy. Customer service was great and check in and check out were super easy. This place is overpriced, the staff was very rude and unprofessional. I was accused of smoking when the neighbor a few doors down was smoking weed. I was charged $250 for their incompetence. Late checkout after a long delayed flight, thankful they had an option available and they gave us a late checkout. However, bathroom door doesn't close inside the room and had to call several times to order basic things. I think they must be short staffed, as in the sign of the times now. You just have to go in knowing it won't be perfect but they'll try to do their best! read more

Room was great for $150. Great location near Barnes and Noble in Southcenter. Easy walking distance to mall and various eateries. The room was clean and the bed was outstanding. My only complaints are that the curtains are one inch too high and let in light that hits your eyes because you are lying down. Finally, the air con is next to the head of bed and kicks on and off quite loudly next to your ears. Free airport shuttle, friendly staff, great room!! read more

Hotel Interurban is a nice new clean hotel, well except that my first room smelled of cigarettes when I walked in but the staff was able to get me another room on the same floor. On the 2nd night there was a microwave laying outside my room door but I chose not to use it. The bar is nice and there were a couple locals to chat with which was cool but the prices for a cocktail are steep.... good thing Washington bar tenders make a living wage so I'm okay with the $16 price tag. The barista in the coffee shop was a highlight as she was super friendly. On the other hand, the decision for only 3 stars come from the experience that I walked in to the hotel at 10.05pm on Friday evening which was my 3rd night and yes technically the restaurant closed at 10 but the same bar tender that had served me 2 nights previously would not stop cleaning to serve me a drink or even a beer to take to my room for the evening blaming it on the hotel. I expressed my disappointment to the front desk staff who were both surprised she wouldn't give me a drink but it wasn't worth actually addressing since I was flying out at 7am. Oh yeah, I guess it's convenient to the airport and there's a mall across the street so that's a bonus. read more

When I say this hotel is overrated that is an understatement. When my daughter and I first arrived the staff member was quite rude and very unfriendly. He didn't even greet us, just immediately asked for ID. Didn't make us feel very welcome and we are seeking comfort as our home is being repaired after a pipe burst. As we entered the hallway to the room it was dark with minimal lighting and so was the room. The lamps that were operable had bulbs that were blinking and annoying so we unplugged them for safety. The hotel Interurban advertised being pet friendly. I was required to sign all of these rules which I didn't receive a copy of, not to mention paying huge fees for having a pet with me. Hotels these days are rip offs and disappointing! I gave it 2 stars because it had a bed. My last stay at this one! read more

Be prepared to pay for parking. Booking online was smooth and easy to complete. There was no statement of paying for parking. The valet or self parking is the same price. Overall, customer service is incredibke and we received a 15$ voucher for booking online! We may just be back! read more
