I forgot to take pictures of room we had this time but spacious and had a small fridge for our cold stuff and a nice roll away for my son was perfect ,we love staying here. So convenient and All the staff is Amazing . I forgot one of the bellman's name that first helped us when we checked in but was excellent getting settled into our room . When we checked out Tim was his name was amazing getting all checked out and luggage to our car in the garage. What service . We were able to hang at the pool and lounge area most of the wknd with all of our family who stayed there as well and many other friends . We ate at the bar 1 night and food was excellent and had some drinks there as well . Plenty of stuff to choose from. We will definitely stay here again for next time . Enjoy !!!! read more

For a hotel with such a long history, I expected a much more consistent and professional experience. Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing. Throughout my visit, I received inconsistent information from different staff members. Whether this was due to inadequate training or employees simply making things up as they went along, it left me with very little confidence in the hotel's management and operations. The biggest issue, however, was the noise. Because there's a bar in the lobby, guests were returning to their rooms between 1:00 and 2:00 a.m., shouting in the hallways and repeatedly slamming their doors. The noise made it nearly impossible to get a good night's sleep. Most hotels in this category clearly post quiet hours and actively enforce them to ensure all guests can rest. That did not appear to be a priority here. A comfortable night's sleep is one of the most basic expectations of any hotel stay. Unfortunately, this property fell well short of that standard. Between the inconsistent service and the lack of noise control, I left with little confidence in the hotel and would not choose to stay here again. read more

I was there twice for California Retired Teachers Association Conference, most recently June 2026. The hotel is conveniently located to the Capitol. The hotel itself is large and clean. The beds are comfortable and there is a coffee maker and refrigerator with bottled water. Unfortunately I didn't realize till the last day that bottled water is needed to make coffee. I was blaming the brand of coffee . The food was good both at the restaurant and the large banquet. The quesadilla with sautéed mushrooms was great. I was able to order through the bar and sit outside. The staff was patient with a lot of retired teachers running, well maybe walking slowly, and asking questions. There is a coffee shop next door. The gift shop has bottled ice coffee $7 and sodas but no diet. Hyatt - PLEASE turn down the air conditioning. read more

We had a large group stay here for a wedding and had a great experience. I arranged a room block with their sales department ahead of the event and my guests all enjoyed the hotel and its location. The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent and we had great communication. I worked with Heather and Stephanie to set up the rooms. Natalie set up the brunch and Sofia was the rockstar for service at the brunch. We also arranged to hold an after wedding brunch and the food and staff were top notch. Our brunch was held out by the pool and all of my guests had a wonderful time. I would recommend this to others. read more

Honestly this is a very good hotel in a very key part of Sacramento. The room is quite large, clean and surprisingly comfortable, especially their beds. The staff is very friendly and eager to please, the restaurants are also pretty solid and put out good food and their store and gym are very good with a surprising amount of options. I will admit there's some hiccups; having a hotel gym off hotel property is weird, their restaurants and stores are Very expensive even taking into account you're paying more in a hotel, and I wish the showers had better pressure. Plus this is another hotel that will let you opt out of housekeeping - and if they forget to mention that you're going to be in for a nasty surprise. Still it's a good hotel for the money and the location with good people working in it. Would definitely recommend. read more

The service was super friendly and accommodating however since I was there for a big conference where it as being hosted, it's hard to tell if this was a normal thing. My room was spacious and clean and had a nice view of the capitol... Two things that I didn't really like was the lighting in the room. Although the natural light was good, other parts of the room lacked light in areas... especially if you are trying to get ready. Love this place. Showed up weighing in at 200 but after the meal that was served (crazy good) I found a men's room that was clean, classy, and smelled good and proceeded to full destroy it. I do believe it is possible that may just wall this room off permanently. Insurance companies have not yet been involved at this point but I am sure that it will be what they call a total loss. Even after eating the meal and experiencing the high level staff service I rolled out on the street at 195. Beautiful place, great food, and a spectacularly satisfying restroom experience. We spent two nights at the Hyatt Regency in Sacramento, a Saturday and Sunday evening. This hotel is located directly across from the state capitol and from that perspective, it's a great location. On the surface, it has quite a few amenities; fitness center, parking garage, restaurants, club lounge--but in reality, these are either closed or subpar. The parking garage's entrance elevator was out of order for the duration of our stay, which meant we had to walk the length of the parking garage to use the elevator at all. And, the parking garage was only accessible from level two of the hotel. The fitness center is located outside of the hotel on a side street. Very inconvenient and cold. On Sunday morning, the club lounge is closed, and we were offered a breakfast at the Vines restaurant in the lobby. This was a fine option and we enjoyed our breakfast there. Sunday morning, there was a breakfast buffet, but Monday morning we ordered from the menu. Overall, we felt service was excellent, food was average, prices were very high. We had a corner King room, which had great views. The room was a nice size, and the bed was comfortable. Upon check-in, we noticed that the refrigerator didn't close properly, so it never cooled. This was reported to the front desk staff but nothing was corrected. It was nice to have the room serviced each day, but the morning we were scheduled to check out, the room was cleaned and our personal belongings were removed, despite having not checked out and it being before our check out time. The highlight of the hotel was definitely the club lounge Saturday evening. It has a great outdoor space with Capitol views. The host did a masterful job of running the place singlehandedly which was no small task. Sadly, the lounge was not available on Sunday evening despite their website stating it was available 7 days per week. I would think twice before staying at this Hyatt again. read more

Stayed here for 3 nights for Thanksgiving vacation. Sacramento has several kid-friendly museum, a cool Old Town next to the Waterfront, and lots of good restaurants. The politicians, lobbyists, and nearby UC Davis student all need places to eat! The hotel is located steps from the Capitol and park, and easy drive to most attractions. The hotel is a bit dated but overall clean and we had a great and restful stay. Overall 4 stars: * Parking in the adjacent lot is $22/day self park with in/out privileges * Free wifi - a nice perk since some hotels still charge for this! Plenty of filtered water stations everywhere. * Comfy double beds and digital thermostat with excellent temperature control. * Nice gym with machines, dumbbells, and kettlebells. To access it, go outside on the freezing cold and find the Stayfit building next to the parking lot. * Good restaurants variety - a breakfast buffet, fancy steakhouse, and a sports bar with full menu. Next door there's a coffee shop called Chocolate Fish. Since it was Thanksgiving Week, the onsite gift/sundry store closed or closed really early. read more

This was only my second time getting to stay in a hotel on the companies dime, and I gotta say, "I can get use to this." Seriously, I was having flashbacks to my stay in the Four Seasons in San Francisco. Granted, I arrived when it was dark and I left when it was dark, but everything looked nice nonetheless. Well, accept some work that was done on the halfway of the 4th floor that hasn't been patched up yet, but I don't imagine they would leave it like that forever. Especially when it was hard not to notice. I will say that the parking garage situation could use some attention. I was told how to find the parking garage, but I wasn't told that you have to go down to the 1st or second floor in order to get back into the hotel. Fortunately, I found someone who was able to guide me. When my friend told me that the parking garage was fun, i thought it was regarding how tight the parking spots were. Since said friend was at the bar waiting for me, I dropped my stuff in the room and headed down for a drink and appetizer. The bar closes at 10, and it's 9:30. I don't typically do this, but since I don't have to pay for it, I might as well, right? The beers were basic, but the food. The food was great! I got the tacos. By no means was it meant to be a meal since I eat before driving to Sacramento. It was just enough to satisfy me. My friend ended up getting the tacos the next night and he thought they were really good too. The green salsa had a nice zing to it, the asada had good flavor and was juicy. I could have eaten 2 orders of them since they were so small though. It was interesting to see people walking back and forth from the pool all wet. I guess they have an indoor pool(?). I was raining outside so that's the only thing that makes sense. After hanging out for an hour, it was time to go back to the room. I do need to wake up early after all. I call my wife and give her a tour. It's way nicer than anything we typically stay in. When I show her the TV, I joke that I won't get to use it. I did eventually, but it's been years since I've had cable TV. Next to the TV was a coffee bar/mini fridge. This is where the USB plug to charge your phone is if you forget to plug an adaptor. It's way across the room. Not ideal if you're the type who falls asleep while using their phone. It wasn't until the morning that I discovered the motion activated light night to the bed. Very useful for those late night restroom runs. If there was one thing to complain about, it was the wifi. The wifi sucked! It also sucked that my phone signal sucked, otherwise I would have given up on the wifi. I would have also loved to hit the gym but time wasn't on my side this time. Loved the hotel. People got a kick out of my "In My Defense I Was Left Unsupervised" shirt, which I only happened to put on because I left the house in a rush. If the company is paying, 10/10 would stay here again. read more

Stayed here over the weekend for Sacanime. Overall it was great Checking in - really easy and nice. Friendly and helpful staff. Even getting the preferred floor and specifics was nice. Room service was great. There were some issues which I hope is addressed prior to my next stay. The issue was with the Dolly situation. On check-in day, we were told our room wasn't available yet, it might be 3 hours. so we opted to go do other stuff till it was ready, and then when we checked in, I asked for a Dolly since all our stuff was in the parking 4th floor. Was told by guest services that we can't roll the Dolly ourselves, a staff will assist. that's perfectly fine. Super nice gentleman, went with us, got our things and then met us at our room. On check-out day, I asked a dolly again. I was initially told they were busy that day, but I can wait in my room as long as everything is packed, I can check out (cards will be deactivated). I did that. Waited no problem. 10 minutes later I get a call and the staff said I can go down and pick up the Dolly. I informed staff I can't, my card is deactivated. So I waited another 5 minutes for a staff to come. This time it was a pretty grumpy asian male staff. He informed us he cannot bring the dolly to the parking lot, instead he'll drop our things off at the front entrance of the lobby, we can drive our car around, load, and then repark. We asked why the change, he said it was against policy. So we asked nicely if he can drop our things off in the 2nd floor and we'll move our stuff to the parking lot ourselves. He appeared annoyed and kept saying it's against policy but he "was willing to do it this one time." It saved us about 75% of the way, 2 trips from the 2nd floor to the car so we were thankful. But why the inconsistency with the Dolly situation and the staff's attitude towards us? read more

This review is based off of attending an event and not actually staying at the hotel. I have been to the Hyatt a few times, mostly for work events. Today's visit was no different - the company I work for was a sponsor at the "Best Places to Work" Luncheon and I had the honor of being one of the attendees. The ballroom was spacious and they had vendor booths sent up where we got some fun items from different businesses like a build your own bouquet sponsored by the Sacramento Food Co-Op. For lunch, we had Fried Chicken, Midnight Mac and Cheese and Green Beans...it was surprisingly really good. Everything was very flavorful and the chicken was nice and juicy. For dessert, they served a Panna Cotta with Grapefruit and some kind of green topping that was also very good. They offer parking attached to their actual hotel, but there are also parking garages near by. Overall, we had a great time and the Hyatt was the perfect place to host this event! read more

I truly love this hotel! The ambiance is beautiful, the amenities are excellent, the gym is large and well-equipped, and the Regency Club is a great perk. Overall, it's a place I genuinely enjoy staying. Unfortunately, my experience at the downstairs lobby bar (not restaurant) really took away from an otherwise great stay. I was waiting for a table and was completely ignored by the server, despite standing there and making it clear I was waiting. This server happens to be pictured in the back of this photo. Since the bar wasn't busy, I eventually sat at an open table myself. Even then, I waited an unusually long time for him to come take a very simple order, despite him clearly seeing me sitting there. After placing my order, he never checked back in or acknowledged me again. Another staff member, who was not my server, kindly came over to ask if I needed anything else and helped close me out, which I appreciated. What stood out most was that the server was attentive and friendly to everyone around me, yet did not acknowledge me at all. As I was leaving, there was no goodbye or acknowledgment, just a glance before he went back to what he was doing. I'm not sure why this happened, but it was disappointing and made me feel overlooked. I hope this is addressed, as the rest of the hotel experience is excellent and I'd otherwise highly recommend it. read more

Little mini fridge in the rooms, which is a nice little perk to keep your drinks cold and any leftovers you might have. The staff is always friendly there also. Everywhere you go the staff is super friendly. A nice shout out for Brenda, Caitlin, and Jessica for putting all the events together for our convention and making it so easy. This is a great location if you want to be within walking distance to downtown/midtown Sacramento. Although we enjoyed our stay, and the location. Our initial impressions of their front desk staff were off putting. The ladies up front were conversing amongst themselves instead getting us checked in. Valet attendants were friendly enough, thank goodness they showed they cared about our time when we called down for our car. Our room was clean, but the makeup mirror was broken and there was no vent in the restroom. I did like the motion sensored lights, so I could easily maneuver around the room without turning on the light. The location of this hotel was perfect to get to our event and to local eateries. We were however bummed that there were a few businesses that had incorrect posted hours, but we just adjusted our visit. It was as a whole a 4-star visit because service was lacking up front. We would consider staying again if we came back to the area for another event. read more

I had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento. My room was clean and had a great layout. I also had a nice view of the front yard. I'll be requesting the same room if I return. Patrick at the front desk was super helpful in getting myself and staff situated with my work's credit card. He was efficient and friendly. Sherlin helped me over the phone after my stay. This was two days after check out. I forgot to switch my personal credit card to work's card. I did my staff except for myself. I called the Hyatt. Sherlin was patient, friendly and efficient. She gave me an authorization form via email with the approval of her manager. Thank you to them as well. The process was quick and I saw the pending refund on my card already. The team that took care of the luggage holds were great. Shout out to Craig too. He was welcoming and kind. I didn't get the rest of names of the team. All I know they were awesome. read more

A solid stay. The lobby is large, there's a pool and the gym (a bit confusing to get to) is large and has a full weight section. The rooms are a bit outdated, mainly the bathrooms, but adequate and construction on the park means those rooms overlooking the park have a wake up call. It's downtown, so it's a bit barren, but some walkable parks and restaurants. A few blocks too far and you do run into some neighborhoods with people who are unhoused and on drugs, but coming from the Bay nothing new for me. Overall, a solid stay, especially if you're looking for a pool and a gym with pelotons and a full weight machine setup. read more

The workers here are nice and friendly. Drive up to the front and one of the bellhop with assisting with your belongings from your car to your room. The rooms are big and spacious with a mini fridge. Love how the hotel is clean. The pool is on the first floor next to the lobby. I don't like how they advertise that you can have food and drink service at the pool but when you scan the QR code it says unavailable. I don't like how the garage is a far walk from the lobby. I left my laptop charger in the room when checking out and discovered that the next day when home. The hotel has a site for noting this but after doing that I got a message that they couldn't find it. After I complained online I got an email from a manager, I described the charger and the next day he said it had been found & that they would mail it to me. ALL staff were friendly, respe tdul, and courteous. Special shout out to check in with Sergio and Carrie and breakfast with Jasmine and Shova in the Vines, and Jenna. I was there for a banquet and came a day early as we had a large group coming and I wanted to make sure everything would go smoothly. Sergio and Carrie made sure everything was handled professionally and perfectly! Jasmine, the hostess, and Shova, my server, treated me as though I were a close friend. The cost of breakfast is a little high but not unexpected given we are in Sacramento. Everywhere is superlatives clean, plenty of towels, super comfy beds, lots of pillows! There is road noise (as at all hotels) but I just went to the Insight Timer app, turned on brown noise, and slept like a log all night! Wish I could have brought the pillows home with me, they were so comfy! My husband and I have been here every year for ten years for this event but this is my first since he passed. But I didn't feel alone because everyone was so friendly and welcoming! Thank you Hyatt! read more

I stayed here as a Hyatt Globalist member. Overall, I thought my experience was just okay. Out of all the Hyatt Regency I've been to within California and globally, I think this Hyatt Regency is one of the more underwhelming ones. The rooms felt dated. We had a suite but the living room / kitchen area had little natural lighting and so was dark during the day. The carpet, the sofa, the furniture, all could've used an upgrade. The front desk service felt impersonal. Not particularly kind or accommodating. They're also very hard to reach. I called from my room three times at 2AM and they did not pick up the phone at all. I called Sunday around noon to check out and they didn't answer. The cleaner never cleaned our room despite us making sure our "do not disturb" sign was not on the door and being away from 9AM - 3PM. Maybe we had to explicitly tell the desk we wanted our room cleaned? Other Hyatts I've been to would text me every day asking if I wanted a clean The amenities were fine, the pool is not large but looks quite nice because of the matching striped pool chairs. The gym is oddly not inside the hotel and requires guests to exit the hotel and walk around the corner to a separate entrance. The gym is dark and dated as well, with basic treadmills and machines. The globalist lounge was small with super loud air conditioning. I found it difficult to work out of it during the day. The alcohol in here is not free and the food/snack options are extremely limited because the food serving area is just so small. The hours are really limited with a good portion of the day being closed for cleaning. I also encountered it not being open during expected opening hours. On top of that, there's something wrong with the door because I had to go down to the front desk 2 times to get a key that works to scan inside the lounge since they told me their normal room keys are broken and can't be connected to the lounge. That, or the front desk didn't know how to program the keys effectively. I noticed that this Hyatt hosts a lot of conferences, so if you're here on a weekend, there's a high chance that the hotel common areas will be very crowded and the staff very overwhelmed. I give it a 3 stars as a hotel, but this is a 2 stars for the Hyatt Regency name. read more

I booked a Travel & Sourse Stay‑to‑Play room with two double beds, a bathtub, and a view of Capitol Park or the Sacramento skyline. I completed online check‑in, provided my expected arrival time, and assumed everything would be ready. We arrived at 8:36 PM for our 8:30 PM check‑in, only to be told--without apology, concern, or effort--that no double‑bed rooms were available and that my teenager and I would have to share a single king bed. We reiterated our reservation details, and the front desk still showed zero care and offered no solutions. They suggested a rollaway bed, which I declined, and I clearly stated that no one was to enter our room at any point during our stay. We planned to request no housekeeping for the entire trip. We went up to the room and were immediately disappointed again: 6th floor, full parking lot view--nothing close to what we booked. We changed quickly, placed the Do Not Enter sign on the door, and left at 9:10 PM. When we returned a little after 10 PM, we walked into something that instantly made my stomach drop: Someone had entered our room. Someone touched our personal items. And someone shoved a rollaway bed inside--after we explicitly refused it. This was not only a violation of privacy but a serious safety concern, especially as a woman traveling with a teenage daughter in a city we've never been to. I called the front desk from my cellphone to document the time. My concerns were dismissed, and I was told--rudely--that someone would "come get it," then the employee hung up on me. No apology. No acknowledgment that entering a guest's room without permission is a major security breach. When the young male housekeeper arrived, I asked who entered my room and why my belongings were touched. He laughed and said, "Oh, you're like the third person this has happened to today." That statement alone is horrifying. I called my spouse out of town because I genuinely felt unsafe. I searched the entire room for missing items and checked every corner to make sure no one was hiding. I attempted to book another hotel, but because of the cheer/dance competition and Stay‑to‑Play requirements, everything was sold out. I called the front desk again to express my safety concerns and request some form of resolution. Again, I was brushed off. I barely slept for three nights because I was terrified someone would enter again. If staff ignore a Do Not Enter sign and a direct request not to enter, what else are they willing to ignore? The worst part? After speaking with other cheer moms, I learned this exact same thing happened to multiple families--including one who reported it to management as early as 4 PM on Friday. Yet the hotel allowed it to continue happening well into the night, including to us at 10 PM. When we finally spoke with the housekeeping manager, Carlos, his excuse was that "housekeeping is new." That is not an excuse for multiple unauthorized room entries, touching guests' belongings, and ignoring posted signs. This is a serious safety issue, not a minor inconvenience. If I do not receive contact from the appropriate leadership, I will be escalating this to corporate and the authorities. Guests deserve to feel safe. We did not. read more

This a great hotel in downtown Sacramento. Surrounded by plenty of restaurants within walking distance too. Huge lobby with a bar off of it that has lots of seating and TVs. They also have a steakhouse and a breakfast/lunch restaurant within the hotel on the main floor. The rooms are nice and spacious, hallways are clean. The bellhop was great and pointed out areas along the way as he brought us to the room. There is a workout space but you need to go outside to access it with your room key. It offers treadmills, peloton bikes, rower, free weights and machines. Towels are provided as well. There is a lot of construction happening nearby so it can be a bit annoying. Rooms were cleaned quickly and they offer shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower area of the room. All rooms have a safe and small fridge and they have huge TVs in the rooms. read more

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento for a work trip. After a long day of meetings and training, the hotel was a pleasant surprise. As soon as you drive up, the valets are super attentive, smiling, and happy to be there. As soon as you walk through the entry doors, the hotel just seems light and airy, clean and modern. Everyone working in the front desk was in a good mood. As I was standing in line to check in, I looked to my left and to my right, and I saw a restaurant and bar on both sides. Everything was spotless, the check-in desk service was impeccable. When I arrived at my room, it had the TV set to a roaring fireplace. I love the motion sensor lights at the bottom of the bed that light up as you walk through the room. I did have a corner suite with the balcony. I was a little disappointed the door didn't open for me to open it up and lean outside, but I totally understand nowadays. The elevator was a little tricky. It was a touchscreen with also a keypad so for someone like me that's not very computer savvy. It was a little strange to use. I had to use my key card to go upstairs to my room, luckily there was a really nice couple in the elevator to show me how to use my key card and the touchscreen and not the keypad. I slept comfortably, I didn't hear any noise, I didn't hear any of the other guests. The water in the bathroom was the perfect temperature for a nice hot shower or just washing your face. Here for business and stayed at my usual Hyatt Regency Sacramento. Online check-in made arrival easy. I stopped by the World of Hyatt line, there was no wait, and I had my keys and was up to my room in no time. My room had a view of the parking lot, which was a bit disappointing, but everything else made up for it. The room was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, with the fireplace playing on the TV which added a cozy touch after a long day. This is always the hotel I choose when I'm in Sacramento. Between the reliable service, great food and drink options right in the lobby, and the close proximity to the SAFE Convention Center, it's a convenient and dependable stay every time. read more

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento in Sacramento, CA from Monday, 2/3/25 until Tuesday, 2/4/25. I decided to come here again due to a wonderful experience previously. I primarily stayed at this hotel due to attending a conference across the street at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center. Upon check-in, I was greeted by Shanice. She was extremely hospitable, friendly, and helpful. She ensured that the entire process was smooth and simple. The hotel room, of course, was nicely comfortable, spacious and clean. All of the amenities were fantastic. The view from the room was gorgeous. The self-parking fee was $25 per night. There were also in-and-out privileges at no cost for the vehicle. It's a wonderful property w great staff located right the street from the Capitol and the beautiful park. It's also walking distance to where the kings play, and while we were in town over the summer, there are great restaurants there (we loved Sauce). Pool is small, but a great set-up w nice chairs and bar service. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Regency club was great and has an awesome terrace. Loved it! read more

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had, and I would strongly recommend choosing a different Hyatt property in the area. * EV charging & parking: The hotel charges $25/night for parking, yet most of the EV chargers were defective. It took 20 minutes of trial and error to find a working charger. If chargers aren't maintained and functional, parking should not be charged at full price. * Room condition: When we entered our room, it was clearly already occupied or never cleaned. There were shoes in the room, the bed was unmade, there were visible head imprints on the pillow, and the TV was already on to a random channel. Completely unacceptable and frankly gross. * Front desk response: After reporting this, it took 15-20 minutes for the front desk to call us back, only to tell us there were no other rooms available. When I asked what they could do, I was offered comped parking and 50,000 Hyatt points, plus housekeeping would come clean the room. I agreed, as that compensation would at least cover another stay. * Bait-and-switch compensation: When I went back downstairs, I was then told the offer was actually 5,000 points, not 50,000 -- after I had already agreed to keep the room. That is a blatant bait-and-switch. Had 5,000 points been the original offer, I would have declined and asked to be placed at another Hyatt property nearby. Between the filthy room, broken EV chargers, slow response, and misleading compensation, this hotel created unnecessary stress and frustration. There are other Hyatt properties in the Sacramento area that are far better managed. Avoid this one and save yourself the headache. read more

I had a great stay here during CIM weekend from the moment I checked in until leaving. I am a Hyatt Rewards member and upon checking in the staff was friendly, helpful and very kind. The lobby attendant is also exceptional - always outgoing, cheering for runners and remembered my name. The room was spacious and well cleaned. I dined in at both restaurant and the food and servers were also wonderful. There is the typical hotel noises you hear (slamming doors, road noise) but nothing that was expected. Overall, I had a great stay here and would come again! Perfect location to stay for the race weekend. read more

Not a lot of major chain hotel options in the capital area so this was one of the few spots with a relatively decent rate if you dont want to stay at one of the motel options nearby which offer a cheaper daily rate. Overall i thought the hotel was decent but not a lot of amenity options which i normally get by staying at either a Hilton or Mariott property. Overall the room was clean but rather dated as far as the decor was concerned. The hotel seemed to be hosting a conference at the same time i was there so it was rather busy in the lobby area. I didnt dine at the hotel since there were plenty of other food options nearby within walking distance. read more

We have stayed at this Hyatt Regency for about 4 times now. We keep coming back because there's nothing we can complain about. Every time we arrived, we were greeted with smile from the front desk staffs. They had been very friendly and quick with our check-in process. We enjoyed our clean and organized rooms when we stayed. Loved that they had the Disney channel for our toddler and complimentary coffee/tea pods for us. They had a good sized fridge for us to store drinks and fruits. Bathtub had been clean and in decent-sized to bathe our toddler. Loved their pool area because our toddler loves to swim; we went straight to the pool after checking in. They have a nice bar next to the pool where you can order drinks and food. Also, the pool opened at 8am, which gave our toddler plenty of time to swim before checking out if we wanted to. They have a decent steakhouse inside the facility next to the hotel elevators; we enjoyed our dinning experience there as well. It's just an overall very pleasant experience for us. We'll continue coming back whenever we visit Sacramento, which we do 1-2 times a month. read more

I stayed at Hyatt Regency Sacramento while attending the CASH event in February. I checked into my room and everything initially seemed normal. Attended night events, came back to my room and went to sleep. During the night, around 3:00 a.m., I woke up to an extremely strong odor that smelled like rotten eggs, sewage, and feces. I didn't know what it was at the time or where it was coming from. Half asleep, I initially thought maybe housekeeping didn't clean that part of the room. I had no idea what it was from and at 3am, alone I didn't know what I should do, and didn't feel safe going to the lobby alone at that hour. Around 6:00am I got up to get ready for the day's conference events. By then I was feeling unwell, nausea, dizziness, burning eyes, chest heaviness, and an overall sick feeling. I went directly to the front desk and reported the issue and was told they would investigate and let me know. Later I received a message advising me to move rooms. When I returned to the room to collect my belongings, the smell had intensified so much that I could barely remain in the room long enough to gather my things. It was so overwhelming, I felt like I would pass out. I felt sick for days after. After check out, I sent an email to the hotel expressing my concerns. Ryan Cooper, Assistant Director of Operations, did respond and later confirmed that engineering determined the issue was sewer-related. He acknowledged that the room should have been properly inspected and appropriate for occupancy before check-in and that standard was not met. My main concern was what I had actually been exposed to and whether there were any health concerns I should know about. I repeatedly asked for clarification and explanation. I simply wanted information and transparency. Initially I was offered World of Hyatt points. I felt like I was being brushed off. When I explained that I did not feel points adequately reflected the seriousness of the situation and continued asking for answers, I was referred to Hyatt's insurance claims process through Gallagher Bassett. Weeks later I received a call from Noel at the insurance company. I explained my concerns to Noel, who was extremely dissmisive. She me told the matter would be reviewed, but I never received follow-up. I reached back out to Ryan Cooper because I had not received a response from Noel, Mr. Cooper did not acknowledge my email but instead forwarded it to someone else at the insurance group to handle. I finally received an email from another rep at the insurance group asking to close this claim and offered $250 as a "goodwill gesture" in exchange for signing a release while still being told Hyatt would not share the findings of their investigation because the information is considered proprietary. What concerned me was how guest concerns were handled. A hotel hosting a large event with high guest volume should be especially focused on room readiness, maintenance, communication, and guest safety. I left feeling like guest safety was not treated as the priority it should have been and that getting answers became more difficult than addressing the concern itself. It is unfortunate that Hyatt doesn't take guest safety seriously and would rather offer compensation than give real answers and transparency. I would think twice before staying here or hosting any large group events. Or considering any Hyatt for that matter. read more

I went here for work purposes so we had a discount deal which was ok price. The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. Room service came daily and did a great job, the bar downstairs gets most of my stars, the waitress was so kind we kept coming back for dinner and drinks vs going somewhere else, the drinks were so good I won't complain about their price, over all staff was nice only complaint is furniture is old and bugs on the hallways. read more

The Hyatt Regency in downtown Sacramento is a staple of the Sacramento skyline and has been for many years--and for good reason. It's definitely the spot to be in downtown Sacramento for conferences and events. They have an absurd number of conference rooms and multiple dining restaurants that offer different types of food and a quality atmosphere. You are always likely to see a wedding or event going on when you're staying there. The gym is a little awkward--it's kind of in the middle of a block, not really in the hotel--but once you get in (and it's not that difficult to get to), it's a good facility. The pool is also nice, with plenty of lounge chairs and usually a decent crowd, at least from what I could see from my window. The hotel is right across the street from Capitol Park and the Capitol Building, which contributes to the busyness and the number of conference rooms. I don't believe it ever felt super busy, though, at any point--even though I know it was. The staff was nice. I guess if I had to nitpick, I would say the elevators were trying to be way too technologically enhanced with touchscreen buttons. Ninety percent of the people who got in took a while to understand how to press their button and where to scan their key because it wasn't clear. But that wasn't anything that ruined my stay--just something I noticed along the way. Rooms were clean, showers were clean, modern décor, and great views of the city. It has a parking structure where you can self-park but also offers valet. Either way, you're going to be paying downtown Sacramento parking prices, so prepare yourself mentally for that. They also have a shop for snacks and toiletries that's well-stocked, and a gift shop that has most things you'll need if you forget anything or want a quick Sacramento souvenir. Overall, the hotel is nice, and the location is right in the middle of everything in downtown Sacramento, including the Golden One Center, the Capitol, Convention Center, and more. read more

After a long drive we got to our hotel ready to relax and unfortunately we noticed our room was not clean at all. There was hair all over our sink, sticky smudges and somebody's shoe sticker on our nightstand. After seeing how dirty it was left, we were skeptical and checked the sheets where we found multiple hairs all over the sheets and pillows. It looked like they made the bed of the previous guests and walked out without sanitizing anything else. The tub also had pink mold, dust in the vent, and black mold all over the ceiling. We appreciated getting upgraded to a new room but soon found more hair in the sheets. They also do not use duvet covers and just have it between two loose fitting sheets which I feel is very unsanitary. Pillows were flat and super uncomfortable. You're really just paying for the location which was in the heart of downtown Sacramento surrounded by a ton of nice restaurants. Absolutely unacceptable for the amount we paid for the room. Expected better for a 4 start hotel. Would not recommend. read more

Well, today we check out. But our entire stay has been nothing short of fantastic. From valet, Tim to our lovely Regency Club Hostess, Mel, we are treated like family. Our suite was gorgeous with views of Capital Park and incredibly spacious, allowing us to entertain family and friends who popped in during our stay.
