This was my first time staying at this Hyatt, and I'm so glad I decided to give it a try. I usually stay at other hotels, but after some awful recent experiences, I wanted to switch things up. From the moment I arrived, this experience was completely different. Lino Fuoco, the manager on shift, gave me such a warm welcome and truly made an impression on me. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, patient with all of my questions, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure I had a great stay. He was such a pleasure to interact with. I've stayed at many hotels over the years, and exceptional customer service really stands out. Lino went above and beyond and is exactly the kind of person you want representing the Hyatt brand. I really hope Hyatt leadership recognizes him for the experience he creates for guests, because employees like him are the reason people choose to come back. Will be staying here again on business travel in two weeks. Thank you, Lino! On another note, I had dinner at the Evolution restaurant, and although the food was mid, the customer service was amazing! It's been a long week and I can't seem to remember the kind female server but the experience was great. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and professional, but the cleanliness could have been improved (we switched several locations to find a suitable table). WORLD CUP WATCH PARTY: SWITZERLAND VS QATAR I've been to three World Cups: Japan 2002, Germany 2006, and South Africa 2010. For the 2026 World Cup I'm going to three games at Levi's Stadium. Last Saturday I didn't go to the first game at Levi's Stadium but attended at World Cup Watch Party at Hyatt Regency. Since the game started at Noon I was glad there was a World Cup Watch Party indoor to protect guests feel from the Santa Clara sun. I will be honest the vibe was more chill than exciting. The World Cup Watch Party also extended to the pool, but I decided to stay inside the lobby. You can watch the World Cup games from the numerous TVs. What was unique was you can watch the game on the wall. The servers were nice and accommodating. I ordered food and beverage from two different eateries: Evolution Restaurant & Bar and Truya Sushi. The beverage Taste of Naples was soothing. Even though I ordered the chicken wings from Evolution Restaurant the lemon blueberry cheesecake was the tastier. The Levi's maki from Truya Sushi was a filling dish. Looking back I should just ordered the Levi's Maki, Taste of Naples, and lemon blueberry cheesecake. There was no air conditioning inside the lobby. It wasn't hot but I was glad I wasn't outside. Since I never stayed at the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara my review is based on the World Cup Watch Party, which was free. read more

My husband has had a few conferences at this hotel, and we have had a good experience each time. The rooms are spacious and clean. I am really impressed with the lobby bar & restaurant at this hotel. Ummm....they have a full sushi bar at this hotel, which is amazing. We also enjoyed the breakfast options they offer in the morning. Please get the brisket hash & potatoes, amazing. Stayed one night for basketball tournament in town. Self-parking fills up quickly. Parking garage behind hotel, $40/night. We booked using group code so that dropped to $20/night. Elevators are small! Clean room, standard toiletries provided. Narrow hallways. Ice machine with water dispenser on each floor. No microwave in the hotel rooms, but there is one next to ice machine. Since it was so cold out and a long ways to walk , I stopped to get a coffee before I proceeded down the street to the Uber pick up . I stayed at the Hyatt for the Monsters dance convention. The rooms are nice and you are able to project movies from your phone on the TV which I really appreciated. It is extremely overpriced especially the snack store in the lobby, like most hotels, so I recommend bringing your own snacks or go to a local grocery store if you can! So this is just speaking to the resort pass- but we loved it! It was easy and the pool and hot tub are right next to each other. Accommodations don't live up to the name or price point. It is very nice to be attached to the convention center, but there is nothing around for a bit! We stayed at the Hyatt for a convention. They could use adding valet or at least someone posted out there to greet guests and maybe provide some guidance regarding the check-in and parking situation. The front desk area is small and not entirely obvious when you walk in, although it is directly across from the entrance. The hotel lobby was ginormous, although be warned that most of it is a restaurant and not a place to relax or . There were very few non-restaurant places to sit, especially with a very busy convention going on. There was this one alcove area designated for outside food, but it honestly felt like a punishment area for not paying their prices. The restaurant was too overpriced for the state of the hotel and qualify of the food. Service was excellent though. The hotel room itself also felt a bit worn for the price point. The baseboards in our room were actually detaching with exposed nails! The bathroom was decent. The beds were cozy. We didn't have any terrible with external noise. One odd annoyance though was that the bottom drawer of the nightstand wouldn't stay shut for more than a minute or two. No matter what we did, it just kept ping open then slowly opening fully. Came here for a dance competition and convention and had a wonderful stay. I used the World of Hyatt app to check in and out as well as getting into my room via digital key. It was seamless. The hotel is huge. They have 2 restaurants as well as a bar inside. They're not too bad, just pricey. My girls and I stayed in a double queen room. It was nice for the weekend. This hotel is on a great location. Close to the airport. 10 minute drive for a red eye flight. Close enough to walk to Levi's Stadium. It's also right next to the convention center and close to some shopping centers. The lobby area is nice. The staff were friendly and hospitable. We had a smooth checkin process. As for the rooms, they were clean, but very outdated. This place could use a remodel and some upgrades. There is an ice machine on the floor and the microwave is in that room. There are small mini fridge's in the rooms. It's a small closet area, that is open. Also the bathroom doors are 2 sliding doors that don't fully connect and close. We tried the evolution restaurant for breakfast. It was okay. You have to pay for parking here. There is a paid parking lot. I think I also saw a parking garage towards the back. The rooms were attended and refreshed every day. I appreciated that because a lot of hotels are not doing that right now. Whenever we called for assistance someone arrived quickly to the room and they were very helpful. I think the only thing I didn't really like was that if you wanted to grab a drink or a snack from the market late at night, the only option was to charge it to your room. You couldn't pay for it at the desk. I wasn't told that I had to bill it to the room, then come back the next morning to pay for it. That seems like an inconvenience for the guests. read more

I stayed at this hotel several weeks ago to attend a 49ers game. The hotel is nice, but you're going to spend extra money because of the proximity to Levi Stadium, literally blocks, and walking distance! It was nice not having to worry about parking at the stadium, before or after the game. My complaint is not really with the hotel, but rather with the PRICE LINE website. When I booked the room I thought I was on the hotel's website, not realizing I was actually booking through Price Line (my error)! MY ADVICE IS STAY AWAY FROM PRICE LINE AT ALL COSTS AND BOOK DIRECTLY WITH THE HOTEL!!! My issue; Earlier this week, I received my bank card statement and discovered Price Line charged me twice for the same room. I figured, no problem, call the hotel and get reimbursed. That couldn't be furthest from the truth. I was informed by Hyatt's representative that I booked the room via Price Line. She said I would have to call Price Line to remedy the issue. She provided a number that a live person won't answer!!!! For the past two days I have literally wasted over two hours trying to speak a live person from Price Line! Yesterday, I waited 30 minutes on hold. I was eventually prompted to record my number and a representative would call me back, but nope I never received a call. Today, I called again and was placed on hold. I eventually was prompted to record my number and somebody would call me back. I chose instead to remain on hold for another 20 minutes. Eventually, an AI voice prompt indicated that my number was recorded and the phone disconnected! I was at a loss for words and as you can you imagine very upset (to put it lightly). I chose to contact my credit card representative. He laughed and recommended that I ALWAYS BOOK directly with the hotel. I am now forced to file a claim with the credit card company. What a complete mess. My advice to everyone is to stay far away from Price Line. Going forward I will spend the extra money and avoid the scam offered by Price Line! It's an older hotel with some room updates. The room is spacious but the bathroom is small and has weird configuration of the sink. The bed was comfortable. The only drawback was that the carpet felt dingy. The pool was clean and has shallow area for small kids. The spa was nice & clean too. There is a towel vending machine that uses room key to get the towel. The location is perfect for Levy's stadium & Great America. There's VTA station nearby. read more

Late review, we came for the 49'ers vs Colts game back in October. This is our second time staying here. 1st being in 2019 for the 49ers vs Cardinals game. 1st time it was a great experience. 2nd time even More GREAT! This time we asked for a view of Levi stadium from our room. Coffee from the marketplace was excellent. Game day festivities was awesome, with food and beer samples. A few nights we enjoyed the bar in the lobby area, pizza was good and staff were awesome! Best part it's just a 10 min walk to gates of Levi stadium. Being close to Levi's Stadium means that you can hear whatever is going on at the stadium. If you happen to like the music, great. If not, it's a long night, and concerts go until at least 11 pm. Parking is $40/night. You can park for free at the Convention center, but there are no guarantees for overnight parking. Housekeeping entered our room without knocking. That happened to another guest as well. If you don't have a car, there is very little for food outside the hotel within walking distance. read more

We stayed here over the weekend since my company holiday party was being hosted here. I was pleasantly surprised, especially because the check-in and check out process were pretty smooth. Check in was supposed to be at 3 pm but I actually got an email early in the morning notifying me that the room was ready for checkin. We also ended up upgrading to the top floor for $10 more. The room was nice and clean, and smelled very nice. The bed & pillows were plush. Something I really liked was the they had a plastic sleeve over the remote (unsure if they replace this after every guest but definitely liked that for sanitary purposes.) Bathroom had pretty much everything you'd need, shampoo, conditioner and bodywash in the wall with a body bar on the side. Overall we enjoyed our short stay here but can definitely see ourselves returning even if just for a mini staycation. We only stay here because it is directly connected to the Convention Center where California Extreme is usually held. The reason that we stay here is that when I'm playing pinball all day, we get tired and need a break. It's much more convenient to simply take the elevator upstairs than it is to get in our car and drive somewhere. The hotel is adequate and has all the usual accoutrements. Bed, bathroom with shower and tub, tv, air conditioning/heater, desk chair, a real refrigerator, Kuerig style coffee maker, ironing board and iron. What it's missing is a sofa or love seat and a microwave. (There was a microwave next to the ice machine on our floor.) Check-in and out were easy. In person check-in and chatting with the customer service rep got me some savings on parking. Knocked down from $40 to $10. I had to drop by and ask what time I had to be out of the parking lot on Sunday and I was told 11am. I told the CSR that we were attending California Extreme and would appreciate a later check-out and he said that we could stay until 1pm. I realize that we could have simply checked out and moved our car to the convention center garage for free, but you never know who might be watching. If I put anything in my car, that means we're leaving the property and not leaving items to be stolen. While our room was comfortable and relatively quiet, any noise in the hallway transmitted directly into our room. People walking and talking and doors slamming were occasionally disturbing. What I found disappointing this year is that they have started charging for overnight parking. $40 a night. I was told that all the other local hotels have been charging and Hyatt was just trying to keep up. I can see how that will affect their bottom line because they're not doing anything different, other than charging. With 505 rooms and 8 suites, if 70% had one vehicle, and they paid an average of $25 a night, that would be nearly $9k, not in income, but in profit. Full house twice a month for a year? $215k. Yes, I know that is the trend now. Doesn't mean I have to like it. This may be the last year that we attend California Extreme, therefore, we may not be staying here in the future. read more

Not a review of the hotel itself, my main issue is with the staff surrounding the building and the main supervisor who was directing traffic on the day of the 49ers game. I had an event that I had reserved parking for at the convention center and they were incredibly rude to myself and my mother as we were trying to enter the parking structure claiming it was full, it wasn't my friends who were already there said there was space on the second floor for the convention. Very poor experience with the workers themselves again not the hotel itself. read more

5 for now! I was looking at the rooms on Google and this Hyatt has 4.5 Stars with 3.5K reviews!! I was surprised for an oldish hotel! But I guess Yelp is less forgiving haha. That said, this is still one of my favorite hotels in the area for meeting up because it's so big. And I guess that's the intent since it's next to a convention center! Their staff is friendly and nice. It's a nice place to meet up at the bar and is decent for fine dining in the evening and I frequent the Peet's. The place is SPACIOUS so it feels bustling and not too intimate and sometimes I just want to be a faceless person amongst the crowd. I usually stay at the Hyatt Centric down the road, but this the Regency is more fun and their espresso martinis are more consistent :) read more

The value is in the details. I really enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara. From the moment I checked in, all of their staff was friendly and treated me like a valued guest. The room itself faced the 49ers Levi Stadium, and I didn't even have to pay extra or anything. The bed was comfy with plushy pillows. Everything was clean. There was the TV, coffee maker with coffee, sugar, creamer, teas. I especially love the amount of outlets everywhere. Love Love Love!! Even in the bathroom, the large mirror was lit along the edges and there was a mini magnifying mirror that was absolutely perfect for me to apply my make up. I also enjoyed the hotel amenities. I know they have a gym on 3rd floor, but I'm more of a pool and spa type of gal. On one of the nights of my stay I have complimentary drink tickets so I enjoyed a lovely glass of wine before spending 3-4 hours in the pool and spa area. The pool was warmed, but not super warm. The jacuzzi can be warmer also. It was really beautiful and well kept. The lights changed colors as I blasted my pandora playlist living my best life. When you actually have time to stay and enjoy your space, I highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara. They are located in prime real estate if you are in town for a 49ers game or California's Great America and more. read more

Stayed here with a friend for a quick weekend SJ trip. The reviews for hotels in SJ were pretty awful overall with a ton of them mentioning unsafe neighborhoods and even break ins to the hotel rooms! Of all those reviews we felt Hyatt Regency Santa Clara was the best so we opted for this location! The hotel was small but clean. The neighborhood was not bad (near Great America and Levi's stadium) and we didn't feel unsafe at all. All the hotel amenities are in the main lobby area when you walk in. There's a small market, concierge, bell desk, restaurant, bar, etc all in one big open space on the main floor. Interesting layout (kind of reminded me of an airport) but I guess convenient? We had dinner and drinks at the sushi restaurant/bar and both the food and drinks were surprisingly good and the staff was very friendly. There's a small pool, hot tub, and fireplace area. Nothing too special but it was clean and lots of families were making good use of it. Parking was extra even though it's literally just an open parking lot in front of the building with a parking arm built into it to grab more money but oh well. All in all, definitely mid hotel compared to other locations but considering the awful reviews for the other hotels nearby it's definitely a decent option and would probably stay again if I ever came down for a weekend trip to SJ again (likely not LOL) read more

First the room. It was larger than most and comfortable but spare. No dresser, shortage of chairs. Hoping they will remodel bathroom as the translucent double sliding doors offer less than optimal privacy and lights up the room at night when someone uses the bathroom. The sink is "modern " meaning difficult to use. Toilet is marginal. Then the restaurant and bar are not top notch. Had an old fashioned made from a mix. The property is due for a remodel with worn carpets, water stained wood in the bathroom, and yucky stained chairs. However, the floor plan with the desk is great. The bathroom has a nightlight but it was impossible to figure out. Instead, you enter the bathroom and all the darn lights come on. Not nice! The software to stream from your device to the tv does not work. Even the hotel tech could not get it to work on an iPhone. He could get it working on an Android. Then, when we tried our iPad, it worked but we couldn't use the device as a remote as told by the app. If you watch Resident Alien on Netflix, you would say "This is some xxxxshit!" C'mon, man! This is a dang Hyatt Regency!!! You have to do better! On a positive note, the swimming pool is great but it's not protected from the wind. You can't swim in 77 degree weather when the wind is at 10-20 mph. Also, breakfast was great. We had eggs Benedict, juice, potatoes, and coffee. With tip, it was $105. Now, this was comped because we had Globalist status, but c' mon, man! Seriously, $100 breakfast. Oh, hell, no! This property can and should be better for the price. read more

The hotel is located in more of a business area, so unless you are going to Levi's for a game or event, it's not the best location for 'nightlife', BUT if you happen to stay here, there are SOME things to do. There's are lots of eateries and there's also some local bars. Try Bare Bottle Brewing Co. which is just a couple miles away. Parking here is safe and convenient. Staff is friendly. This is a prime location in terms of being in close proximity to Sunnyvale, San Jose airport, Levi's stadium, great America theme park, and the convention center. As a Hyatt Regency with globalist benefits, this was a great hotel to enjoy an overnight stay. Rooms were pretty simple and standard. Bathrooms were a little bit on the smaller end but the room itself were spacious (that is the 1 king bed set up). Free parking was included as part of the globalist benefits along with free buffet breakfast. Buffet breakfast was a great spread with your standard potatoes, eggs, bacon, fruit, pastries, and breads. Service was great, people were helpful. Overall wouldn't mind staying again in this hotel as it was fairly clean and had the necessary amenities that I needed for my overnight stay. read more
