The purpose of a hotel is to provide a place for people to sleep when they are away from home. Two things are a hindrance to sleep: light and sound. Hilton Santa Clara has both. This trend of sliding doors is terrible. Hilton one-ups it by making the sliding door frosted glass. And better yet, there is a light behind the vanity mirror that cannot be turned off. So the light floods into the bedroom while sleeping at night. The HVAC systems need servicing. They dont cool the room to the temperature set, and they squeak and creak all night long. C'mon, Bay Area. Do better. read more

The restaurant has a very nice menu but only a few selections for vegetarians like myself but the fig burrata salad was amazing. It's priced at $21 which seemed expensive at first but the value comes from its quality and taste and was filling. For breakfast I don't normally do the buffet especially at $29 but again its quality looked amazing so I splurged and recommend it. My room has many upgrades such as lighting and fancy soap that I typically come to expect from a Marriott. I don't believe I was charged for parking but I could be wrong. I wanted to share my experience with Hilton Santa Clara during their Super Bowl tailgating event. On a positive note, the food and drinks were delicious, and credit is due to the kitchen staff and chef. As a long-time Hilton Honors member who has enjoyed staying at Hilton properties for over 20 years, I was excited to attend this event with my son -- our first Super Bowl event together. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. A few days before the event, I called ahead to ask about the non-hotel-guest policy and pricing. A very pleasant employee named Ana explained that the cost would be $50 per person, which included access to the bar area, food trucks, game viewing, and tokens toward food or drinks. When we arrived at registration on the day of the event, we were told the price had increased to $100 per person. At no point was I told that pricing was flexible or subject to change, which felt misleading and unprofessional. Once inside, we were informed that if we left the hotel -- even to access the food trucks -- we would not be allowed back in. This was an extremely restrictive policy, especially after paying a premium to attend the event. We were seated at table 105, which should clearly identify our waitress, although I did not catch her name. From the start, there was no greeting, introduction, or acknowledgment. We were there from approximately 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM, and service was consistently poor. My son, my friend, and I repeatedly ran out of drinks, including water, and often had to search for the waitress for long periods of time just to request refills. We observed the same issue at nearby tables, with other guests walking to the bar themselves due to lack of attention. I want to be very clear that the low tip was not due to being unwilling to tip. I typically tip 20-25% for good service. The reduced tip was strictly a reflection of the poor and inattentive service we received throughout the event. As the game was about to start, it became apparent that the TVs in the bar area had little to no audible sound. Only one TV in the lounge area could be heard, prompting guests to move chairs just to hear the game. When we requested assistance, the first manager who arrived told us the TVs were already at maximum volume and that nothing else could be done. That response was unacceptable for a paid Super Bowl viewing event. Thankfully, after requesting the General Manager, staff collaborated and resolved the issue by bringing out a portable speaker connected to the TVs. While this fixed the problem, it should have been an immediate solution rather than a last resort. This experience -- misleading pricing, restrictive policies, poor service, and lack of proactive management -- was especially disappointing given that this was my son's and my first Super Bowl event together. My friend also flew in from Florida specifically for this experience, which made the disappointment even greater. Unfortunately, I will not return to this Hilton location for events and will not recommend it to others. Month of stay: August 2025 Visited for my birthday trip. They try to ring you of your money with expensive rooms, $25 parking per day, and the food at the restaurant being expensive as well. But it was a beautiful hotel, friendly staff, great room, and conveniently located next to Levis Stadium and California's Great America. The hotel is currently going through a renovation, so maybe wait to visit until after. read more

Disappointing stay. The rooms have recently been refurbished and were nice but the standard of cleanliness could have been better. Nail clippings and stray hairs in the shower. Staff were unhelpful. It seems that the hotel is attempting to cut costs with self service store/locked cabinets. No atmosphere. Also, construction was taking place do they were serving breakfast in the bar. read more

They nickel and dime you for everything even as they're renovating. The elevators rattled, every single door on a hinge in our room squealed, the water pressure sucked, the water drain was ridiculously loud in the bath tub, and they charge you for everything. Breakfast $27 a person, parking $25 a day. Like where are we supposed to park if not there? Their "cafe" wasn't open early or sometimes at all, the gym is substandard The only thing I liked was the bed (comfy) and the pool. Just bring back free breakfast and give people perks while you're upgrading cause you're not giving ppl their moneys worth. read more

Decent hotel right next to Levi Stadium in the Santa Clara area, right off of the freeway. Facilities are modern and comfortable. Rooms are decent, clean, and well kept, although a little bit dated. Staff is friendly and courteous. Gym is 24/7, small pool is decent and the hot tub/jacuzzi is great for relaxing after a day of meetings. Food options, restaurant, and Starbucks/coffee is available in the lobby. Parking is $25/night (not free!) and because it's right next to Levi Stadium, be aware that during 49er games, this area may be VERY hard to access. Plan ahead! If you're coming here specifically for the games, it's within walking distance of the stadium. Plenty of conference rooms for bigger conferences. Business center is a bit small and open, so difficult to have meetings otherwise. read more

This Hilton location is decent. I love that it's next to my favorite football team's stadium; Levi's! The view of the 49ers stadium is a beauty. Everything else is just eh I thought. First off, parking is expensive and there's limited parking. The formation of the inside of this hotel is awkward with jsut the lobby having a few seats and everything else tucked away such as the cafe, banquets, etc. There is a Starbucks stand inside which is helpful for coffee folks BUT of course the prices for the beverages are high because it's convenient ($5 an espresso). There is a gym and an outdoor pool which is nice but nothing special. The hotel room itself is cozy I should say. The furniture and decor is a bit "old-ish" and gives you that grandma's house type vibe BUT it's clean and the marble look of the light tan colors is nice. The rooms don't come with a microwave or a fridge which is a downside. I think this a a great hotel to stay in when going to a convention event, concert, a football game or even a long night out. It's convenient as far as location goes. read more

I've stayed here in the past for a work trip and it needed an update. Now in November 2025 they are under construction and they have the majority of the hotel closed and blocked off. I tried to go to the restaurant on a Thursday evening for dinner and it was closed. When asking the front desk about it they stated that management closed the restaurant (even though it was open the night before) but didn't have any further explanation. So I had to Grubhub some dinner in since it was pouring rain outside. With the restaurant closed, there's nowhere to get a beer or a drink. The rooms were ok, but definitely not a "4-star" level of hotel. This hotel basically felt like an overpriced Hampton Inn with even less amenities (at least Hampton Inn you get a free breakfast). When I'm back in town for work I'll be staying somewhere else. Also note for fellow Diamond / Elite members, they don't have an executive lounge, despite what the listing on the Hilton website says (used to be on 8th floor but is closed permanently). read more

Very disappointed in my stay here. We came all the way from Virginia to see a 49ers game. My husband is a huge fan so this was a gift to him. For this to be a Hilton, I was not impressed. The hotel was average at best. We had the "city view" from the 2nd floor which wasn't a very pleasant view at all. I asked if I could change to a different room. The rep who helped wasn't very friendly at all. Their response was that this is for Diamond members only. When I said I was willing to pay for a different room, his response changed but the other options he provided weren't much better so we ended up keeping what we had The stadium is conveniently located within walking distance which is awesome. Sunday we attended the game. It was a scorching 95° so you can imagine how badly we wanted to shower afterwards...Nope, all the hot water was out and shortly after that, the power went out from 7:30pm about 1230 am. No apology, no explanation nothing. It was absolutely awful. I will never stay at this hotel again. Sorry not sorry. read more

Well you can not beat the location if you are going to a niner game or a concert at Levi . But that's about all they got going for them. I don't even no where to start. Well let's start with check in. Ok so I called day before to confirm my reservation. They told me that I should call early in the morning and check in. Let them no I want a good room high floor. I did that . I payed for stadium view & I just wanted to make sure I got a good room. They told me my room would be ready for me at check in . I ended up not getting to hotel until later. When I got there at 6:30pm they said our room wasn't ready that it would be a hour or 2 before room was ready because they just shampooed my carpets . What!!! Why would they do that. They don't do that every time someone checks out so obviously there was a accident on the carpet. No I don't want that room . And I don't want to wait I have dinner reservations. Did a dog pee on floor or someone throw up. My stuff will get ruin from damp floor . So finally they let us check in to another room 830. It had laminate floors, but room was still very outdated. Room 830 did however have wonderful view of Levi stadium. And I could see everyone in line at 4am to get let in through the gates which was super cool . Why was I up at 4am. Well I actually woke up at 3 because the beds were horrible!! Pillows were horrible. We were up all night. We got 2 queen beds but bed actually looks like a double. No way they can be queen. My daughter woke up in horrible pain in her neck. I woke up at 3 because of how uncomfortable I was. That was 1st night. Second night I was up all night because of the toilet making horrible noises . They charged me over $400 for this horrible room. For 1 night it was almost $500. $488.86 to be exact. And 100,000 points for the other night. Then when I tried to get in after the game it was raining and I didn't have my key I have the mobile key on my phone well the security wouldn't let me in . I had to wait for my man to get there because he had the physical key. Now when I checked in my card kept getting declined. But once it was approved. I told employee. He said no it's not so he charged my man's card. Well when I got to room there was indeed a charge for $488.86. I called downstairs and again the employee said it's not on their end so there is nothing they can do about it. To check in the morning. Well in the morning the charge was still there. I called again and they again told me that there was nothing they could do. So I called my bank and they told me that it did go through so now I'm in the process of trying to get my money back. I was double charged!! We did not enjoy our stay here. I would not stay here again. My friends stayed at Hyatt next door and they had a much better experience. I will definitely be staying there in the future.. read more

More like 2.5 stars instead of 2. Honestly location is nice and the first floor is gorgeous. But after that...it bothers me how the rooms don't look as clean. I always operate under the assumption hotels aren't as clean as they look so if I get a room that doesn't at least LOOK clean, I'm sort of bothered. This hotel also attracts a lot of families and large groups, but the walls are thin enough you can occasionally hear your neighbors. I'd stay here again if the price is competitive to other hotels, but not a first choice at all. Security is also hella lax. I came in at 11pm one night and didn't have to use my card to get me inside. Anyone can park in the parking lot which is cool if a friend is visiting, but must be annoying if you're a guest fighting for parking with randoms just taking advantage of how free it is. read more

Horrible place. Would never stay here again. First of all the place is dingy. Very dingy. The carpet in my room literally felt sticky. I felt like I needed to shower anytime I walked without shoes on because my feet would feel so gross. I dedicated a pair of socks to walking around in and threw them away after. A lot of things were broken. The AC just blew room temperature air, even after maintenance came to fix it twice. I had to keep my blinds shut all day to keep my room from heating up too much so the place felt even more like a dungeon when I was there. Other things were broken light the bathroom light switch. I had to press it as hard as possible many times before it recognized and activated. Shower stall was gross with stains, it was very outdated, and the shower head barely had any pressure. The cabinet doors creaked like nails on a chalkboard when opening/shutting. It was a miserable experience. Wouldn't be surprised if there are bed bugs in other rooms. read more

This review is long overdue. I recently came across a video about people gaining unauthorized card key access, and it made me remember an unsettling incident at this hotel. While my family was asleep, someone tried to open our door. Luckily, I was awake and had the double lock latch on. I yelled at the person, and they quickly ran away. I immediately called the front desk, but they couldn't offer any explanation, only giving an excuse that staff might have been checking empty rooms (a staff checking for empty rooms wouldn't run away, but would rather apologize perhaps?). I requested a call from the manager, but of course, that never happened. While the location is convenient, this experience still haunts me to this day. read more

I'm going to start with the negative stuff and then work my way into the positive stuff. - So the hot tub is still out of commission, which was a bummer. Was really looking forward to that after working three long event days at the convention center. - We had no towels in our bathroom and when I went downstairs to request more, the gentleman at the front could only find me a pool towel. Which was fine, whatever but no towels in our hotel room? Odd. - We realized how quickly the quality of your stay here can change based on the guests around you. It was after 10pm and people had no awareness about their volume. This is of course not the hotel's fault however there also seems to be absolutely no insulation in the walls (namely the door area). It seemed as if it wouldn't have mattered if our door was wide open! + With all that said the parking was convenient and free out front. We got lucky and always found a spot in that very front lot + check in was quick and friendly + the Hilton app is really neat because it allows you to unlock your hotel room door remotely with it (obviously not from far away, you have to be within inches from the handle) + When there weren't noisy guests meandering in the hallway the room stayed nice and quiet. In fact I slept incredibly well because of it + The bed and pillow were very comfortable. My neck is sensitive and particular. If I sleep on a pillow that my neck doesn't agree with, I easily get headaches and lately have had joints in my extremities affected. I felt great in the morning. + The staff here are all so wonderful. The bar tender downstairs was lovely too. We watched as he had to cater to an entire room full of patrons, all by himself. Get the man some help, Hilton! Well, whatever.. if you don't he can clearly handle it. Tip him well people. read more

The location for this Hilton is perfect. In the middle of Silicon Valley, and walking distance to Levi's Stadium, Great America and Convention Center. Parking is free which is a huge plus. Normally a pass would be required when there's a big event next door at Levi's stadium. Friendly staff, shout out to Antonio and David at the Front Desk. I'm currently a Hilton Honors Gold and trying to get Diamond. When available, they've accommodated me and placed me in a preferred upgrade. I've stayed in this property multiple times over the years, and I can tell you that some rooms have definitely received a much needed and great update! (Those room are my favorites) Executive Lounge was also a nice perk pre-pandemic and I can't wait for the room to be open soon! Great lobby, decent lounge for some drinks in the evening. I would not stay here again. The hotel is old, the rooms are dingy and ours had a huge stain on the carpet. They claim their parking policy is only one car per room, even if there are two beds, but that's not stated anywhere on the website when I booked. My sister had to pay extra to park elsewhere, which was a huge inconvenience, meanwhile Hilton's parking lot had plenty of room. How does that make sense... also the walls are super thin so you can hear everything going on around you. I would highly suggest you book the Hyatt next door instead. It's about the same walking distance to Levi Stadium. The only saving grace is the nice security guard. read more

The Front desk crew were friendly and took great care of us .Antonio was really accommodating . It was a very busy night due to the concert that night . But, he and the rest of the front staff did an amazing job . The room was decorated nicely and bed was very comfy . The next day we didn't have enough coffee pods . We really enjoyed our stay at the Hilton. The rooms were clean (with the exception of a couple items in the bathroom which were easy to set aside) and the beds were very comfortable. We had a king room on the 8th floor which was nice and quiet. The elevator was quick whenever it was needed and the free parking was truly a huge help. I also love the sustainability efforts to only provide cleaning, fresh linens, etc upon request. I will note that another family in our party requested a full cleaning of their room during our week stay which was not fulfilled. Overall, I would stay here again due to the friendly staff, convenient location and comfortable beds. read more

We had the pleasure of staying an overnite for our annual Xmas trip this past year, and let me say the Santa Clara Hilton was absolute luxury! Located just beside Levi Stadium, and next door to California's Great America, the location was perfect for GA's Winterfest! The rate was FANTASTIC and the accommodations were posh. Amenities like free parking, free Wifi and a spa-like gorgeous heated pool and hot tub (winter bonus!!!) made this feel like a reposrt destination! Whether you're heading to a game or Great America, I'd say this is one of the nicest properties adjacent to both attractions! Insider tip - look around the holidays for off-season prices! It made the rate too good to pass up for this 4 star property! We had a luxurious stay, and would look forward to returning just for the pool and those amazing beds! read more

Minimal staff, minimalist rooms. The beds are fine and bathrooms clean. still, I have stayed at many Hiltons and this is the least enjoyable experience I can remember. Last year I was diamond status , so the sample size is big enough to say this isn't up to Hilton expectations. Carpet has big bleached out circles. Sink has a big repaired crack running across it. There are dings and chips. My air conditioner was loud enough I moved to a different room in the middle of the night. (No apologies or other courteous niceties). Great hotel. It was in the right place between two different job venues, so that worked well. Nice and clean hotel. Great front desk staff. There is a coffee shop for quick service and there is a nice breakfast restaurant when you have time. Good bar opens at 4:30 to 10 pm. AWESOME BARTENDER named Z. She was fantastic all week long. Now the same breakfast restaurant is also open at night. I didn't go there because the same menu is served at the bar too. Good food. So just depends on where you want to sit. Great atmosphere, cool people to chat with and like I said a FANTASTIC bartender named Z to take care of your needs. I'll definitely be back. read more

In my initial reading of others reviews before we had our stay, I was not expecting much from this Hilton property. My husband and I stay at many Hiltons (team member) but had not yet stayed at this property. Contrary to others' reviews, I found the property to be great. The rooms were clean and quiet. I appreciated the hardwood floors in our room, made it feel cleaner than other rooms I've stayed at with carpet. Staff were friendly. We went to the pool which was a pleasant temperature. We got cocktails and dinner from the hotel restaurant Fontana. The lemon pomegranate cocktail was delicious. We ordered a Cobb salad and their ribeye sandwich. Both were good and the fries with the sandwich were a huge portion which was perfect to share. Beds were comfy. I would recommend this hotel! read more

I love staying here. It was my daughter's spring break so we decided to do a staycation. This is a great location especially since it is close to so many different restaurants and fun places to go to (ex: Great America). It also has a nice pool which my daughter just loved. I recently stayed at the Hilton Santa Clara, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I've come to expect from a Hilton hotel. The property itself felt very outdated & overpriced , and the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, which is unusual for a Hilton. One of the most disturbing issues was the shower. Every time I turned it on, the water was brown for about 10 seconds before clearing up. When I called the front desk about it, they told me to let the water run for 10 minutes before using it because they had turned off the pipes or something along those lines. This explanation was very questionable and did not reassure me. Only thing keeping this Hilton open is being next to stadium lol On a positive note, the hotel has a Starbucks downstairs, which was a nice convenience to get in the morning Overall, I was very disappointed. read more

On Thanksgiving evening we checked in, in the morning giving a courtesy call to the hotel that we would be checking in late, and were placed in room 725, next to a very loud family with small children. The TV was loud and the children were excited, loud and active for it being so late into the evening. The morning was also disruptive with the TV being loud and the kids loud and excited. When I went to the front desk to speak with Dorothy, she said I should have called last evening so they could have sent a security officer to their room to quiet down the noise. I suggested that if the hotel is not full, perhaps a better policy would be to place families in a room with another room in between the family and the next hotel guest, Dorothy said they don't do that, they send up security instead. Honestly, is this the best they can do? I think Dorthy would benefit from some courtesy conversation training, good morning, thank you, I appreciate your concern and will let our management know, I'm so sorry for your experience..... simple things... thank you for sharing this and I hope the rest of your day is a pleasant one etc. UPDATE: Upon check out Dorothy offered to remove our $25 parking, which was a nice gesture but I think that should have been accompanied with some compassion for the experience we had. I genuinely believe that this could have been taken care of with some compassionate conversation and understanding and perhaps a review of their family friendly policy and placement of neighboring guests. read more

Blood stained bedding, every towel ordered was dirty with brown stains, pillows had lipstick stains were hard and uncomfortable. A brown object behind dresser, chair had white crust stains all over, remote was filthy. It looked as if the room was not cleaned only the trash bins emptied. Used toilet paper roll upon arrival, filthy carpets. Terrible experience, never stayed anywhere so filthy. Not even holiday inn was this low class. read more

Be careful parking your vehicle here! We stayed at this property on Memorial Day weekend because they were offering a great deal! Yes, the price is very low for this Hilton. However, when we woke up in the morning our vehicle had been stolen from the back parking lot. It was well lit and it wasn't a busy weekend at the other parking lots near by so we felt fine about leaving it there at that moment. But what we discovered was that their Security cameras were archaic and did not capture clearly the thieves in action. The reason I know this is they allowed me to view the video. If the cameras had been updated, they would have clearly captured the license plate of the other vehicle that brought the thieves, make of car and their license plate. It was so bad that you could not make anything out. We were parked close enough to the cameras that it should have captured everything. My vehicle was never found and we had to purchase a replacement vehicle. It's not good enough to have a nice property but not have adequate security to make us feel safe and not worry about a our vehicle being stolen. I was also very disappointed that they didn't comp our entire stay or help with anything. I will never stay here again! Now we carry "The Club" when we park anywhere. Be careful with your vehicle here! read more
