I recently stayed here for 4 days. It was close to my office, so it was convenient. The lobby is nice and the gals are the front desk are friendly. The room was nice and spacious. I had a double queen. My room faced the parking lot and unfortunately sound really travels up the hotel walls. Some nights people were outside talking until close to 11PM. Also the person on the floor above me stomped like an elephant and one night it sounded like they were moving furniture. So the rooms are not very insulated. Also two of the weekday charges were $450 a night!!! I would never pay that much for a Courtyard Marriott, but they know that during the week they have corporate clients, so they charge high rates. Not sure if I would stay here again next time. read more

Don't be misled by the older reviews on this property. There have been considerable renovations at this hotel and it shows. Rooms: + Excellent. Recently renovated, so everything is in tip top shape. + Good sound insulation from S Mathilda Ave, which can get busy. Service: - Everyone who was working tried, and I commend them for that. However, there were some hiccups. For example, we had a Do Not Disturb sign up on our door while we were taking a nap during the daytime. A day prior, we had called down to the front desk because there was an issue with the AC system. Someone had already come to repair it, but then another person came to check on the system. Kudos for making sure it was fixed, but clearly poor communication in the team, and how do you ignore a Do Not Disturb sign?? Amenities: - You're in the suburbs and charge $15 for parking? Pretty sleazy cash grab. - The gym was missing several free weights. Like they had a single 10 lb dumbbell. read more

Stayed here for work. It wasn't dirty but the customer service and amenities were atrocious. There is no snack bar and no water in the rooms and there is no restaurant -only a counter with limited hours that makes Starbucks style sandwiches and drinks. I was thirsty in the middle of the night and called to the front desk to ask for water and they gave me some excuse about having to check people in (after 11pm) and being unable to come to the room at the time and suggested I come down and get the water myself. I told them I was in my pajamas and would not be doing that and would wait for someone to drop it off. They proceeded to take more than 20 minutes and gave me attitude when I called and asked about it a second time. They do not keep the pool area stocked with the towels, and there is no spa on site. I agree, this Courtyard Marriott is quite new overall and well designed, and in a safe location. It's literally next door to Chik-fil-A so you can literally walk to breakfast if you don't want to drive around town looking for something to eat. Sean was wonderfully response both via text messages in the app and in person - warm and friendly service always wins a 5 star review from me! He was super helpful and thoughtful, and recognized me each time I walked by, it's little things like this that makes a guest feel welcomed and at home! Kudos! What I love about this property is that it is nicely updated AND they didn't install the "automatic" light in the bathroom, so you won't get hit with blaring fluorescent lights in the middle of the night should you need to use the restroom. This is a quiet and safe property, centrally located. The only con is that they charge for parking - $20/night so be sure to budget for it. The other Courtyard Marriotts in even Cupertino offer complimentary parking so I'm not sure why this one charges so much. Another superb front desk concierge named Veronica helped catch an accidental overbooking on my reservation and corrected it on the spot! So for excellent service and location this place is great! We checked in today with many other Swifty fans. It started off bumpy with our rooms not being ready and a little bit of a room mix up but the staff was very kind and fixed the problems right away. Manee had these cute goody bags that were filled with lots of yummy snacks & drinks that our daughter and friend will enjoy after the Taylor Swift concert. The room has updated decor and is clean, nice and cozy. The bed feels comfortable. My husband loves the large tv. We have a great view of the pool. The lobby is beautiful. Manee & Vella are wonderful & kind. They both went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. I know that that this weekend is very busy with the concert nearby. That didn't deter them from having a smile on their face and making sure their customers were taken care of. Going to check out the bistro bar. read more

Hotels in this area are notoriously expensive, so I was happy to find one for a mid-week work trip that came in at slightly less than $300 a night. You get what you pay for at this Courtyard. It's fine, with relatively new furniture and decent rooms. The fitness center was TINY, but equipment was good quality, for what they did have in store. If you're traveling for work, it's not bad for a more economic option. read more

This is a solid, clean, and comfortable Courtyard by Marriott, in a convenient location just a few blocks from a shopping center with a nice Trader Joes and a Sweetgreen posh salad shop. Loved the palm trees and all the beautiful flowers on the property. The staff at this Marriott are truly the best. I was welcomed every time I walked in the door, and also told "Have a great day" every time I passed by the front desk. The staff were really friendly and genuine. There is a small pool with a hot tub at this location. There is also a laundry area on the first floor that had two washers and two dryers, which is always so helpful in a hotel this size. I had a great 4-day stay here. Comfy bed and pillows with an extra blanket in the cupboard. Shower was spacious and powerful. Housekeeping is available up on request and I had one day of that, which was really nice to come home to a tidy room with fresh towels. The hotel does add $15 a day for parking if you park there, which seems pretty standard in his part of California. I will stay here again. read more

I love where this Courtyard is located. It is near plentiful food areas and shopping. Which is the only reason why I chose to stay here. My bestfriend and our daughters planned to have dinner at 10 Butchers near by so this was a perfect location to be at. Checking in and out was a breeze. Although checking out, the ladies were so busy giving a man suggestions on where to eat, I was able to give them my key cards without letting them know the fridge in my room didn't work. Room was clean and had the basic necessities. Pillows were nice and the bed was comfy. The pool was not heated, also needed cleaning as there were bugs everywhere. The hot tub was also brown and made me itchy after sitting in it for a while.... definitely not as advertised on the website. Oh and the ice machine was broken.... The only reason this gets 2 stars is because it took 10min for luke warm water to be dispensed from the shower, the sink in the bathroom never produced any warm/hot water, stains on the little couch in the room, and the pool was completely gross! Booked this room the night before since my work schedule extended. Great price on Priceline and booked as an express deal. Service: 10/10 Nice employees who quickly checked you in and was very welcoming and professional. Queen room with pull out sofa: 10/10 Beautiful and spacious room (mine was on the 3rd floor). Linen was crisp and very comfortable! You know it's a good bed when you don't wanna get out of it!!! The bathroom was a good size with stand shower (no tub). I appreciated the neutral pallet color choice. Desk was nice as I had some studying to do. Loved the black out curtains! Parking and lobby: 8/10 Very spacious with ample seating. Due to Covid, limited hours for food and drink service but that didn't affect my stay. Parking is $15/day which I thought was a BUMMER. You're already paying a lot nightly and the parking fee was not disclosed at booking. I did request a one time waive which was denied. I did notice that not every car in the lot had a parking slip as you could see in photo.... We had a concert at Shoreline and were looking for a reasonable hotel that was close by, safe and nice. After reading reviews we went with Courtyard and were not disappointed. We were greeted immediately and given rooms next door to each other. The front desk clerk let us know of the best places to eat or just grab a coffee. He was very friendly and helpful. The room was a bit smaller than what I'm used to but the bed was comfortable so that was really all that mattered. I would definitely stay again. read more

Stayed at the Courtyard during my scheduled work in Sunnyvale. Definitely relaxed after checking in from a long day working. The front desk staff was welcoming. Lobby decor and ambiance is nice and inviting. The room I had was clean and comfortable. Bed was soft and relaxing. I stay in a lot of hotels when I travel for work. One of my pet peeve I hate rooms that smell like the last person who stayed there. I really appreciate this hotel clean smelling rooms. Had to try the gym and it was perfect and again clean. Very underwhelming. The front desk staff were not very helpful. The gym access was by schedule only and even then there was very little in the way of equipment and some of it was missing. Only real positive was the parking was free. Free internet but it was slow. Only good for email and light browsing. Forget watching videos unless you upgrade to a faster connection package. I will not bother with this place in the future. There are much better options nearby and at the same or better price. read more

This is one of the worst Marriotts I have ever stayed in and I am a Lifetime Platinum member. I stayed for 3 nights and the second day I came back from a long hot day only to find out that they had not cleaned my room. There were towels on the floor, the bed had not been made, and the garbage cans were not emptied. When I asked the housekeepers what happened, they basically said they were from another hotel and did not know why my room was not cleaned. The most they could do was give me more towels! In the morning I went down for a cup of coffee and was told the barista did not show up for work. I had to drive to a nearby Starbucks for coffee. The hotel provides ice water in the lobby. It was a sweltering day. Not surprisingly, the pitchers were empty. When I asked the front desk if this could be refilled, he explained in an exasperated tone that I would have to wait for 20 minutes because he was all alone. If guests can not be taken care of then perhaps reinforcements should have been called. I will never stay at this Marriott again as it is way below Marriott standards. read more

This hotel was nice and clean. The staff was great. BIG shout out and Accommodation to Guillermo. He is very pesonable and gave great customer service. I almost forgot I was at a hotel. It felt more like I was visiting a friends home. I did not interact with much of the staff as I was only there overnight for a quick work meeting. They have fresh Orange and Fresh Lemon water in the reception area. I spilled my cup and felt bad, Guillermo quickly said "no worries I got it" went right away and cleaned it up. I slept well the bed was comfortable and the room was a good size and the roomy shower had great pressure room 316. When I was leaving I remembered that I left my jacket in the rom's closet and Guillermo offered to get it and went up to the room and grabbed it for me. He is a great asset to the Marriott family. If management reads this, please give Guillermo another thank you from me. read more

Not right off the freeway but close to food and stores. Lots of free parking. Check in took awhile and the front desk was not very friendly. The room was average. A little noisy. It gets crowded sometimes on Friday and Saturdays with events, birthday parties down on the first floor. My stay was just okay, not in my top hotels I like in the South Bay. read more

Nothing special at the hotel. Service was okay. The check in guy didn't greet me Or said thank you or gave me any info that might be helpful. The check out was a lot better. The rooms were clean but we heard kids stomping in the hallways until 11 pm. We had kids ourselves but they were in bed by 8pm. Parking fee is $15. I've stayed here twice in the past 18 months and my review is as follows: Location - The hotel is newer and in the heart of Sunnyvale, California. Located conveniently in between an Enterprise car rental and a Chic Fil A. Right down the street there's a Starbucks and shopping center (all walking distance from the hotel). There is also a Target and Macy's down the street. The hotel is 15 minutes from Palo Alto, a 25 min drive from San Jose, and about an hour drive to San Francisco. Amenities - the front desk is very accommodating (thank you Zack) to catering to your needs. The parking for cars is $10 per day so be aware of that ahead of time. There is a small pool and jacuzzi, along with gym (which you can enter with a keycard). The rooms are pretty spacious. All include a microwave, a coffee maker, two tvs, and a couch. However, I was disappointed that the Bistro in the lobby did not serve food from 9:30-5. This would be okay . . . if there were room service (there isn't). Yet, there is a small convenience store with snacks and basics, if required. Also, on several occasions, our room was cleaned when the do not disturb sign was on . . . Overall, I recommend this hotel for anyone visiting family nearby. There is a great fireplace area right up front where you can grab a cup of coffee and conversate! Been a premier gold member for almost 40 years and this was the worst experience. Traveling with toddler so we asked for housekeeping everyday. After 3 days and asking numerous times our room was cleaned. Took 24 hours to fix the toilet that leaked from the tank every time you flushed it. They just gave us more towels. On the last night we couldn't get into the room and the night desk person, Pearl, tried the master key and decided the reader was broken. Maintenance had gone home and for over 2 hours we argued with her to get maintenance to come in. We had a 3:30am airport pickup and needed to get into our room for all our luggage and baby stuff. The hotel is nice and conveniently located. However, the staff was very callous and careless with check in and checkout - making mistakes and ruining my check in and check out experience. Upon checkin, the girl at the front desk claimed I didnt have the room, when I did have it. It was a hotels.com reservation and she had trouble pulling up the reservation. Upon checkout, the lady double charged parking fees. I did inform her and she said she corrected it, but apparently not. She did not even know how to revert a charge. And now, I am having to call them 4 or 5 times to get the parking rebate. Overall, the staff were not smart and seemed very careless with their job responsibilities. read more

When I made my reservation I upgraded (for $14) the breakfast at the Bistro. You get a choice of one hot or two cold choices. And one beverage. This is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. However, the price isn't cheap either. So my rating is just for the hotel and not considering the price. The beds were comfortable and ample of floor space. They gave us a room for handicap people even though we are not handicaps. We didn't mind. The bathroom was huge compared to the ones I normally go to. The lobby was spacious and modern looking. The only thing I wish they had is a USB charging port near the beds. read more

Marriott's are going DOWNHILL as they manage too many properties. My opinion they are becoming a cut above Super 8's. This one for certain. Oh forgot, HVAC controlled by BIG Brother..... not quite a swelter, room never gets cooler than 75 regardless of what it is set too. I stayed here for 3 nights on an imptopdu road trip and it was okay. I usually book marriots because they aren't the most ritzy but are still very nice and usually have all the bells and whistles but this marriott sort of failed that perception I had about marriotts. It was honestly the little stuff that added up that made it a subpar stay, they provided a bar soap, a tiny shampoo and a tiny conditioner, but no body wash or lotion. Other marriotts I've stayed at had full containers with pumps mounted to the shower wall with Paul Mitchell tea tree products including body wash and lotion. They gave us a ton of bathroom cups but only 2 paper cups for coffee. It looked like one of the night stands had been replaced with a random side table which is fine but the additional wall plug ins and storage drawer that would have come on a night stand would have been ideal instead of having to plug your phone in across the room. The task lights that were installed on the headboards were like 3000k blue toned car headlights, such unpleasant lighting so we did not use them once. There were no extra quilts or blankets in the room which is very common usually, and no extra trash bags under the bags in the cans. The ac would also take forever to start or stop, there were a few times where we were freezing and turned off the ac but it just outright would not turn off and we had to unplug it from thw wall. The blackout curtains would not overlap at all when they closed leaving a 2 inch gap where a band of bright sunlight would pour into the room in the morning. The bathroom had zero storage, just a shelf on the bottom of the cavinet unit so all your things had to be out on display and you would need to get down on your knees to grab anything. It was a nice stay but I felt like those little details that make hotels extra relaxing weren't there. Every time I reached for something I assumed would be there either wasn't there or was subpar. I won't stop staying at marriots because this was a red herring for sure but I don't think I would stay here again if there's another nearby marriott. read more

Very poor experience at this hotel. Came in dead tired from a cross country flight. Got the key and went up to my room - key didn't work. Had to drag all my luggage down again and get a new key. Dragged all my stuff up again and again key didn't work. Dragged all my stuff down again and finally got a new room. Doesn't speak well for maintenance. Later on in my stay, came back from a long day at work to find my room not cleaned at all. I thought it was me but I checked the door again and there was no privacy sign on it. Called front desk and they basically said - "What do you want me to do?" Really? At least can I get more coffee? Poor service. Poor attitudes. Poor stay. read more
