I truly appreciated the care and concern Dr. Chad Lewick, O.D. and the entire staff at Hyde Park Optometry extended the special Lady in my life yesterday. She was visiting me from out of town and developed a serious eye irritation. Upon calling the Office the Receptionist immediately made every attempt to get MaryAnn seen ASAP. Due to a last minute cancellation she was able to be seen within 15-minutes of my call. However. Dr. Lewick kindly advised he would have seen her on an emergency basis that same day. Surprisingly his keen diagnostic skills identified the cause of inflammation due to arthritis. He prescribed an appropriate treatment plan and follow up visit within the next several days. And he also suggested possibly integrating the services of a Rheumatologist if warranted. Bottom line MaryAnn, was so relieved to find such a caring Optometrist and support staff, that she chose to have Dr. Chad Lewick as her new Optometrist. read more

My visit with Dr. Lewick last week was outstanding. He does an excellent exam and explains results clearly so I could understand him. Unfortunately, I have dry eye and macular degeneration (dry) and again, Dr. Lewick did a clear, precise overview of my condition and explained the results of my test. The office staff could not be any more professional and friendly. In particular, I worked with Dorothy, who fielded all my phone calls, emails and questions in a prompt and courteous manner. She was my first point of contact with Hyde Park Optometry and can make or break the patient's experience. Kudos to Dorothy and the rest of the OUTSTANDING STAFF!!! I've been going to Hyde Park Optometry for years. The doctor and staff are always pleasant and helpful. I love the personal care and personal attention I get at this office. After every annual checkup, I leave with a clear understanding of how my eyesight is doing and what I can expect over the next year. When I need new glasses, the expert at the office is very kind and very patient when I struggle to find just the right style. When I finally decide, she fits the glasses and lenses perfectly. My wife and I have been visiting Hyde Park Optometry for several years and have always received great service from a friendly, always smiling staff. These folks have learned to run a great business with the right attitude. The Optometrist is always friendly and professional and willing to spend the time to explain what he's doing and why. The eyeglass selections are great and presented in a well-lighted, comfortable room. In addition to Wi-Fi and TV there is usually candy, available for any kids, young or old. I have worn glasses for many years, but this was my first visit to Hyde Park Optometry. I was seen by Dr. Chad Lewick who was personable, pleasant and professional. It is obvious he loves his work and gives you the benefit of his knowledge and skills. The office staff including Nancy and Erika were equally pleasant and professional. The office is in an older building right in the Village of Hyde Park with plenty of parking close to the building. Dr. Lewick is one of our favorites!! My wife Krista and I have been going to him for years. His office doesn't take our insurance any longer, but we still insist on being part of his practice so we pay out of pocket. The only issue I have is a small one. I had a recent visit due to an issue with my left eye. when I made the appointment, I was told the fee was $45. when the appointment was completed , I was charged $80. Not sure what happened and I neglected to ask. It doesn't change my opinion of Dr. Lewick, or his staff. read more

Dr. Lewick reminds me of my old optometrist Dr Erickson. he's very caring and he explain things. He is not rushing to move on, he takes time to let me know how my sight is progressing.
