The main thing we were desperate to eat was dhal, so obviously we ordered the Yellow Dhal Fry ("Boiled yellow lentils tempered with Indian spices"). It's decent but probably the least impressive version of the venerable dish I've ever had. The flavor is good but it's just so watery. Anytime we've ordered dhal in the past, it's been a very thick stew loaded with lentils. This was practically soup. It went well with the Lamb Biryani we ordered, at least. The rice soaked up all that liquid quite well, for sure. And the biryani itself is decent. It's loaded with tender pieces of lamb, and the flavors are quite good. The dish was a little soggier than I would've expected, though. The highlight wound up being the Vegetable Samosas ("Flaky pastry stuffed with Potato & Peas"), as they tasted very fresh and packed with delicious components. The included sauces enhanced them, too. For a rainy night in, Roti Palace of India didn't disappoint. But I wish the dhal had been closer in spirit to what I assume the traditional version is supposed to be.

It had been a long while since we ordered in, and we had a craving for Indian food, so I did a…read morequick search of a food-delivery app and noticed Curry and Chutney. I'd driven by the place a number of times and been curious about their offerings, so it was an obvious and easy choice. We were tempted by a bunch of stuff on the menu, but we finally decided to go with the Dal Makhani and the Mutter Paneer. We also grabbed an order of Tandoori Roti and got that buttered. The food arrived a little while later and really hit the spot. Both dishes were exactly what we were craving and absolutely packed with flavor. I really enjoyed both concoctions but I'll give a slight edge to the Mutter Paneer, which was loaded with delicious pieces of fried paneer and was spiced just right. (Would it have been nice if the meal had included rice? Of course, but we already had some made so it wasn't a huge deal.) I think Curry and Chutney might just be our new go-to spot for Indian food.

It took a while for even that to come out because as soon as it did come, 5 min later our actual dishes came out and there was very little space on the table. I ordered the Saffron lamb Korma and my coworker had the Chicken Tikka Masala. The lamb was perfection and the curry sauce amazing. The saffron flavors really blended well with the cashew creamy sauce and the lamb was so tender and absorbed the flavors so well. I had the spicy naan to eat it with and it was delicious. My coworker enjoyed her chicken tikka as well though the chicken could have been cut smaller so that it got a bit. Orr tender with the sauce. It took a while to get our check after we requested it right when the food came. Overall, satisfied with the food but not the service.

For larger group gatherings and event, there is a spacious dining area below ground with a separate bar. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I have tried different dishes on their menu and there's not a single dish I didn't enjoy or I wouldn't recommend. Each dish is put together with their unique spices and flavours. And the presentation is beautifully done. I strongly recommend "Chicken Kamasutra", "Butter Chicken", "Shahi Paneer" and the variety of their roti, paratha, naan and kulcha.
