After a long day of traveling, having some good food always makes the end of the day better. Eating at Dil Se was such a pleasant experience. We got the mango lassi, the lamb vindaloo, lamb biryani, and garlic naan. Everything was really tasteful. You do get your moneys worth with the quality and quantity of the food. My only grievance is the mango lassi is small! Overall I enjoyed dinning there.

The food here is truly out of this world. I was tempted to just ask for them to choose for me but since the menu is so large I felt bad so I just chose myself. We tried the onion bhaji, samosa channa, chicken biryani and beef vindaloo. The beef vindaloo was a tad underwhelming as neither the flavour or heat seemed to be there. Great prices on the food but the beer prices are a bit outrageous at $13 for one bottle. The decor is really nice and most of the staff friendly, but our waitress seemed to not like us and was hard to engage with.

Wow, it's a Michelin restaurant in Toronto! I have the popular 2 curry dishes . They are different than what I usually ate. I believe the curry sauce is modified . They are good. The server is very patient and nicely explain the dish. Serve very well. The restaurant is clean. There is a bar at the entrance. Decorate with mix of east and west. The special in the restaurant is they put music with Om. It is very soothing and get you enjoy the dinner

DARE I SAY DIL SE IS THE GO TO INDIAN PLACE ;) Took a first timer and she was hooked from the first bite! Food: 8.5/10 - butter me up and give me another bowl of that butter paneer masala because I could eat until I drop! Some of the best stuff I've tasted in a while.... And it pairs just as good with the garlic naan as it does with white rice (so get both!!!) Ambiance: 8/10 - clean, classy, cute! Enough said. Service- 8/10 - courteous, kind and quick (we're really rhyming today). We were in and out and our belly's were full.

The reviews did not disappoint. For our group of 4, we shared a butter chicken, beef bhuna, chicken biryani, naan, veggie platter and samosa channa. Great options, with some recommended from our waiter. A potential 5 star spot - the dishes were so full of flavour but we found the beef bhuna on the saltier side. My masala chai took some time to come out and when it did, it wasn't as hot. Nothing discouraging, would revisit to try other menu items.

The place stays open very late, often until 1AM or even 5:30AM, making it a popular stop for late‑night meals. The space is casual and cozy, with quick service and a menu built around bold spices and rich flavours. S the name implies, the biryani is the star here, offering great taste, aroma, portion sizes, and variety, including spicy regional styles and special trays for groups. Alongside biryani, they offer starters like dynamite gobi, curries, and desserts such as gulab jamun. It's a simple, no‑frills spot where the focus is on flavour, value, and feeding serious biryani cravings.

Unfortunately, lots of places in Toronto who make promises of serving biryani teleport you to hell. My friends and family are lifelong fans of biryani. Of all the places Biryaniwalla is highly recommended and I have usually had it at get-togethers. This time though I decided to visit the place and order a take out personally. Located a few meters away from Bathurst station , the restaurant stands amongst other Asian eataries. Upon entering, we were greeted warmly by Ankita at the reception. We asked her for recommendations and she patiently explained us the options and advised 2 biryanis based on our spice tolerance and preferences. Taking her advice, we ordered: - Chicken Kaju Ghee Roast Bucket with double Masala for $43 ($39.99 for Biryani and Double masala pay $2.99 extra). - Palnadu Chicken Biryani ( $18.99) Ambience wise, the place is pretty chill with neatly lined tables for family and the huge Biryaniwalla Logo adorning the big wall. There was also a spin the wheel game, which you can play if you place a google review. While we waited for our order, the shop was quite busy with mobile food delivery orders. After about 10 minutes, we got our order and took it home. Chicken Kaju Ghee Roast Bucket: This is possibly their bestselling biryani. And I have to confess, I have tried it before and I absolutely love it. It is a delicious biryani , with nice moist chicken pieces, cashews and which is not too overpowering with spices. We ordered double masala because my better half likes it that way. The quantity for bucket was huge and can easily satify 3-4 people. Chicken Palnadu Biryani: Compared to Kaju Ghee Roast, this one is more tangy and a bit on the spicier side. It is a slight Achari taste and it was surprisingly delicious. Also, you get Salan (spicy-tangy gravy) and Raita (yoghurt mixture) with the biryanis, and they go quite well with the biryani. However, i somehow still felt the biryanis lack that authentic taste of biryani that you get in India and Pakistan. Real authentic biryanis have the inherent smoky flavor which comes from coal which is used to cook biryani and to give Biryani the dum ( pots are sealed and cooked over slow heat with coal - at bottom and at top.) Also missed that Birista that usually accompany Biryani layers. That being said, these are quite good biryanis. To foodies: Possibly the best biryani restaurant is toronto, that gets it as close to the authentic taste. The biryanis are delicious and they have lot of other options including seafood biryani. The quantities are huge and you and your loved ones will truly enjoy To management: Great biryanis. Great service by Ankita. Would love if you guys can sprinkle some birista ( fried onions) at the top layer or provide it on the side. Also it would be great if you can provide some incentive for customers who order directly from store. I knew you once had 10%.off , which when I asked was told it's still on but you need the offer card. I was a bit let down by that because at the end, it's just a formality. Also spin the wheel if you place a google review is a cheap tactic to get reviews. Just do it as a fun activity guys. Creates goodwill. As a brand strategist , I always recommend customer experience over a few dollars Overall this is a great place for biryanis. I definitely recommend it. Rating: 8.6/10 Signing off, Rahul V.S aka CanIndian Foodie

Toronto Review 11/Many: I went to this tiny Indian spot with another prior to going to the game at Rogers Center, so my meal was a bit more abridged compared to what I would normally do in an Indian restaurant. The service was fine, and it took a little while for us to sit, but soon enough we were in a nice corner overlooking the bar area downstairs. As I wasn't sure whether I'd have a beer at the stadium, I didn't bother having a drink, nor did the other person. Overall, the food was tasty and a bit more unique than a typical Indian spot. However, I didn't love the appetizer, and I found the naan just alright. Our only appetizer was the 17.99 CAD Pineapple Pakora Chaat with masala pineapple fritter chaat, lachha aloo, papdi, saffron-pineapple yogurt, mint-date chutney, and slaw. As with the rest of the dishes, the food was well presented. There was a nice mix of textures, which included crunchy, soft, and others. The best parts were the aloo and pineapple, and I wish there were more pieces of the latter. In terms of flavor, in comparison to other chaat I have had before, this was on the sweeter end for me, which made it a bit less balanced. Overall, it was good, but not great. My main dish was the very tasty Kashmiri Gushtaba for 28.99 CAD, consisting of goat meatballs slow-cooked in a rich Kashmiri white onion-cardamom gravy. The very soft meatballs were the easy highlight and my favorite part of any of the dishes I had that night, as they had a nice mélange of spices/masala. The gravy was thick and slightly buttery, with a complex blend of flavors, including, I believe, a hint of ginger and something smoky, along with the listed cardamom and other more subtle spices. This was delicious and was perfect over rice, though this isn't included and is an extra 7.99 CAD. The other person had the 26.99 CAD Dilliwala Butter Chicken, with said chicken enhanced with smoky ginger, garlic, and green chilies. The menu also has a milder option of butter chicken sans said extra flavors for a dollar less. I tried a bit of the chicken, and it was pretty tender with a little heat, but less so than my dish. The gravy was also complex, though I preferred my dish overall. They had some interesting bread options, but we stuck with a classic Garlic Naan for 6.99, which was pretty good. While lacking ghee, there was plenty of garlic flavor with some nice crispier edges. However, I found it a bit chewy compared to other spots. In terms of the number of Indian spots I've been to, I'd probably put it in the lower-middle to middle range. If I were to only rate the main dishes, I would probably leave a five-star rating. However, the appetizer was only just okay, and the naan was only decent. Also, our main dishes definitely needed rice, and that's an extra few dollars. In short, I liked the concept of the restaurant more than the execution, with this spot reminding me of a better version of Baar Baar in NYC. Excellent gushtaba, though.
