    Mutton Kotu

I actually stumbled upon Anantha Bhavan, I didn't plan to go there. The M&M meat shop happened to be right next to it, so I had to check this place out. The first I tried there were the rolls. They had the mutton roll, chicken roll and veggie roll. I fell in love with all of them. It tasted so good and at a reasonable price too. Since then I have been coming to this place whenever I wanted a snack. On my second visit, one of the cashiers recommended me to try mutton kotu and masala dosa. I've never tried mutton kotu before, so I thought of giving it a shot. It's a combination of roti and mutton scrambled together and my my my it was good. It was spicy but the flavour just explodes in your mouth. The dosa, on the other hand, wasn't that great for the price I paid.

    Chicken and shrimp fried rice

Do not judge a book by its cover! When you walk in here if definitely looks a bit run down I won't lie to you BUT the food is worth it. Most of the meals are around 6.75 and the portion sizes are huge. I've only tried the chicken and shrimp fried rice and tandoori chicken but this place always has people coming in and out picking up food. I've never had any issues communicating with the young man or woman behind the counter their English was fine. They even make recommendations and let me know what's popular. I just love he flavour profiles. The fried rice has bits of seasoned chicken and shrimp, bean sprouts peppers, chillies, carrots, broccoli and some kind of spice blend. It's just a little party in your mouth and at 6.75 what do you have to lose?

The portion cann be share, however; I recommend toffee pudding with ice cream. Due to the weekend , the service was slow. I would like to thank Sheily who was so friendly and acted professionally when we did not like the cardamom chai as it has milk and did meet our expectations . She changed the chai with Earl Gray which was really tasty. The ambiance was nice and comfort. The chairs were comfortable and the employees were friendly.

The word 'Maharaja' means "Great king". As it's name says the inside does look grand and nice . During this Covid times, they have taken good precautionary measures. We ordered for Dum Ka murgh Biriyani which is a CHICKEN Biriyani along with Few Naans another chicken side. The taste of the Biriyani was mediocre but the quantity of the food was very good. The staff at the restaurant was very kind and knowledgeable at the restaurant. The packaging of the food was very good too. A drawback about this place is the price range. Yes they are a couple of dollars more on most of the items . I think it is definitely worth a try at this place. I will visit this place after the lockdown is over for sure for a Dine in .

Went here for the first time and everything we ordered was really good…read more Order was Pav Bhaji, Tomato & Onion Uttapam, Mini Idli's and Ghee Paper Dosa. The sambar and chutney were really tasty as well. Service was quick and our server was polite and friendly. They have an open kitchen concept, so it was nice to see the cooks making the food. The price range for the dishes was really affordable as well. This is definitely a place you need to check out, if you're craving south Indian food!

None of them have been disappointing. None of the items are clearly marked vegan but the server went into the kitchen multiple times to check - prefer to have clearly marked vegan options in a Vegetarian restaurant. The Vegan Gobi Manchurian was OK. Not greasy. Crispy cauliflower florets in a crispy red batter. But the it was a bit dry for us and the batter was very less spicy and under seasoned as well. The Vegan Bajji Platter was also less than OK. All too greasy except for Medu Vada. The plantain bajji, the chilli bajji (not spicy at all). The onion and potatoe bajjis were OK. The Ghee Pongal - Family enjoyed it. Thankfully the vegan Rava Masala Dosa was good. Good amount of Masala inside. The dosa crispy. The Mini Tiffin was saviour as well. Mostly vegan except for Rava Kesari. The Upma and Masala Dosas were great and Mini Idlis good. In all the sambhar and chutneys provided were not the usual. We found the sambhar a bit watered down and less spicy and seasoned. Even the chutneys were too runny and less seasoned and spicy. After our meal the server came multiple times to see if we were done so that they can accommodate the next customer. Felt rushed.
