    Hakka Chicken Noodles
    Wylie L.

I got to try the Hakka chicken noodles takeout from a friend, usually I don't like Indian food because it's too spicy and I didn't know much about Hakka food but this was delicious and exceeded my expectations. The chicken was tender and flavourful and noodles tasted like Chinese chow mein which I like. Overall it was great, not spicy or salty, nice balanced flavours and a good amount of food. Makes me want to see what other tasty non-spicy dishes they have in their menu for me to try in the future.

This is the dry chili chicken lunch combo with spring rolls.

Food was very good. I like spicy food and their "medium" was really not as hot as I expected. Excellent service and a great menu!

Came here in our last day in Toronto. You walk in and it smells amazing. Food was amazing and lived…read moreup to expectations but the service was sub-par. Made a reservation for 2 people at 8pm and was not seated until a bit after 8:20pm. They did not offer anything to make up for the wait. It looked like they gave our table away on accident because there was a couple that had just sat down. And we were about 10 min early so it's not that we were late and they gave it away. It would have been nice to at least have offered a drink or dessert, especially since there is not standing space/waiting room so you have to awkwardly hover near the front of the place. What was even more annoying is when we finally sat, they actually came to take orders from a table that sat down AFTER us first. Again, not sure if the waitresses were new but it was getting super late and we had just driven for 3 hours so we're hungry and had an early flight the next day and still had to go return our rental at the airport and check-in to the hotel. Hence, we came to a place that had a reservation. I ordered a herbal tea (Gulaabo) to start with since I love Rose flavor and then the Chaat Papri to hold us over. It took a while for even that to come out because as soon as it did come, 5 min later our actual dishes came out and there was very little space on the table. I ordered the Saffron lamb Korma and my coworker had the Chicken Tikka Masala. The lamb was perfection and the curry sauce amazing. The saffron flavors really blended well with the cashew creamy sauce and the lamb was so tender and absorbed the flavors so well. I had the spicy naan to eat it with and it was delicious. My coworker enjoyed her chicken tikka as well though the chicken could have been cut smaller so that it got a bit. Orr tender with the sauce. It took a while to get our check after we requested it right when the food came. Overall, satisfied with the food but not the service.

My sister loves this place so she took us all there to celebrate her birthday. Right away I loved the pink colour and warm, opulent vibe of the restaurant. And I loved the elegant dishes and cute touch lamps on the table. There was so much on the menu so I just trusted her to order for all of us. Wow! It was an epic birthday lunch! My favourites were the egg plant fries, charcoal butter chicken, palak paneer spinach and butter naan. And the cucumber raita really helped because I prefer mild spices and my family likes everything spicy! Here's what we ordered... MOJITO Refreshing and minty cocktail originating from Cuba, the Mojito is perfect for hot summer days. White Rum, Mint Leaves, Lime Juice, Simple Syrup, Soda Water, Ice (Mango version) CUCUMBER RAITA Yogurt based side with assorted spices, shredded cucumber, a great accompaniment to help you handle the spice. CHUTNEYS MANGO/TAMARIND/MINT SAMOSA CHAAT Crispy samosas chopped and topped with chickpeas tangy tamarind chutney, spicy green chutney, creamy yogourt, diced onions, chaat masala, and crunchy sev. Garnished with fresh cilantro and red chilli garlic powder. EGGPLANT FRIES Crispy eggplant served with chutneys sprinkled chaat masala and cilantro MASALA LIME FISH Spicy and tangy coconut based fish curry inspired by southern gastronomy of India, chefs special touch to basa fish marination cooked in masala curry KASHMIRI LAMB ROGANJOSH Typical Kashmiri rogan curry made with Kashmiri chilli slow cooked tendered lamb brought up together in an aromatic blend of sautéed Onions, cumins& ginger with fresh tomatoes CHARCOAL BUTTER CHICKEN Charcoal-smoked tandoori chicken in our signature tomato-butter gravy, enriched with dry fenugreek. Crafted with locally sourced tomatoes for our butter chicken sauce PALAK PANEER SPINACH COTTAGE CHEESE CURRY Widely loved as palak paneer, featuring curried spinach with tender cottage cheese cubes simmered in our chef's special green herb spices with homemade pickle garnish NAAN BREAD Butter Naan and Chilli Garlic Naan DESSERT WARM GULAB JAMUN Warm condensed milk dumplings The dessert was on the house and came with a birthday candle because our server overheard that it was my sister's birthday. Our server was awesome and the chef was friendly too. Highly recommend this restaurant!
