I did an accelerated session on Saturday and Sunday for two weeks with Katie Goggin. In six lessons, I was able to do something I've never been able to do, go under water without holding my nose. By the end, I was swimming laps to the deep end, which I am afraid of. It was a short session and I can't wait to enroll in the next one. If you think it's too late to learn to swim, it isn't!

For example, hours are 10-2 for MLK day but there are still classes until 7:45 pm and I can see that people signed up. When I called and asked the Y staff member said "the person that does the schedule isn't here and hopefully he does it tomorrow." 2. Headsets aren't functioning all the time so instructor is trying to scream over sidetrack. 3. Some morning classes aren't offered in the evenings so this isn't fair for folks that work during the day. (Pure Strength and Y Stretch). I'm giving a 3 vs a 2 because I enjoy the instructors but the Y has a lot of improving to do.

My daughter is five years old and when we go on vacation, she can go into an adult pool on her own without any arm floats, a noodle, or anything else. She'll dive and get multiple rings from the bottom of a 5ft+ pool with no issues, she can tread water for minutes at a time, float on her back, and she's learned countless swim strokes. From a kid who was terrified of the water, to someone that is now confident and can swim independently, this has been worth every bit of it and then some!
