Very disappointing experience with Goldfish Swim School in Lewis Center…read more The biggest issue is their shady cancellation process. At the end of January, someone from their team called us and asked if we planned to renew. We clearly said no, we did not want to renew and wanted to stop the lessons. They mentioned we had makeup classes but said we wouldn't be able to use them if we didn't renew. Even after hearing that, we still confirmed that we were not continuing. At no point during that call did anyone mention a withdrawal form. Despite that, we were later charged two additional months: $260 and $325, even though we had already said we were not renewing. When we called to ask why, we were told that we were required to submit a withdrawal form 30 days in advance. Again, this was never mentioned during the phone call. The worst part is that this form is basically hidden. You can do everything on their website like scheduling classes and making payments, but when it comes to cancelling, suddenly the form is nowhere to be found. I spent over an hour searching their portal and website and could not find it. The only link I eventually found online required a paid PDF filler subscription just to complete the form. That feels extremely deceptive and makes it seem like the system is designed to keep charging customers unless they dig through hidden steps to cancel. I also spoke with Lacy (the manager) about this, and she was not helpful at all. She kept repeating that we should have submitted the withdrawal form and showed no interest in understanding the situation or resolving it. There was zero concern for customer satisfaction, only continuing to charge for services we were not using. On top of that, the facility itself does not look very clean or well maintained. The dryers frequently don't work, the showers smell, and lights in the changing area are broken. It doesn't give a very professional impression. Most of the instructors also appear to be very young and inexperienced, which raises concerns about the quality of instruction. Overall, this place feels like it's focused on squeezing every dollar out of families rather than providing a good experience. I would strongly recommend looking for another swim school if you want transparent policies and better customer service.

Right from the initial phone call to set up classes, we have been looked after and have been made to feel like an important member. The girls remember Gray's name when he arrives, they give him a high five and make him feel welcomed. The staff are knowledgeable and generous with their time to help give me tips and advice on how I can continue to help Gray further his skills at home in the tub. We have been members of other swim schools before and we have never had an assessment and guidelines sent out to us to review and communicate on. WOW! We love having the same 1 or 2 teachers/coaches on repeat rather than a different girl each week. Gray looks forward to his lesson all week and now calls the color yellow "goldfish" haha We will be loyal Goldfish members for life thats for sure! Thank you for all you do!

I tried calling both the people (T & H, for short) who administer the test to schedule it and neither one called me back. I also texted one of them (H) and never heard back. So I called the rec center and they gave me the email for H. I emailed him and he replied and we scheduled it. Then, two hours before the time we had scheduled, he emailed me and said he would be teaching a class at that time and could I do it myself? I had never paid attention to the set-up of the procedure so I said no. So he said he would get someone to cover for him and he'd be there at our scheduled time. I got there early and waited about 15 minutes before I went to the front desk to tell them I needed help with the scheduled test. The person followed me back to the in-body room and pointed to a man and said "That's H". So he was out in the hallway having a conversation and I was waiting (at that point nearly 20 minutes) for him. He came in and gave me the test. Some version of this happens every 3 months when I buy new passes and have to run the gauntlet to get my free test and it is extremely frustrating.

The senior center has always been friendly and a great place to relax and talk with others. I had participated in their senior citizen's board and found that they responded quickly to any suggestions.

We found out when we got there that both of those parts of the pool were closed and only the other half of the leisure pool was open. The other half is more geared for younger kids and ours are 8 and 10 so that was disappointing. Even more disappointing was the reaction of the staff when I asked about that. They pointed out that "zero entry only" means that both the slide and lazy river are closed. Really? That's what that means? As if it should be obvious? We were also told that we could return from 5-7 but we were already there at 11 and had planned our day around that. This being vacation, we had plans later on which didn't include going to the pool twice in one day. So we made the best of it and stayed but again, it was super disappointing. What they need to do is change their stupid sign because it is NOT obvious what "zero entry only" means. I would guess that only the rec center employees have a clue what that means.

A happy upbeat & inspirational environment lives here. It is a blend that matches one's caffeine intake and reminds one to get your fitness goals done. This location is massive and one-stop-shopping for all of your wellness needs. The happy counter staff such as the very welcoming, Kenneth, to the kind cafe peeps and even salon staff that absolutely do not take themselves too seriously but are naturally happy and helpful. This was my second time and I wanted to do more than I did the previous time here. I had the privilege of taking a dance class with the soulful and intuitive instructor named Jenny. It was a high energy dance coreo set where she made sure all were included and shined with gusto during the end of class performance. She created a special 'ring of accountability' before and after the class was taught. A true safe space to your bold authentic yourself. This kind of teaching extends beyond one's 'self-care' and exists on a frequency of 'community-care' and supports the 'group mind' of a creative set of artists or people wanting to draw more outside the box. The steam room and sauna were clean and detoxes one perfectly and so does the amazing hot tub and plunge pool duo and while taken all in rotation it was downright Japanese in their easy flowing easy to access layout. For every uptempo aminity there are downtempo ones too. A special shoutout to soulful Elizabeth Brown who taught a mid-day Root Yoga course filled with the best energy and well paced kindness. This is my kind of class, it's solid and restorative in its pacing and keeps the yogi listening without the pressures of comparison. Elizabeth meets you where you are no matter the level of practice and look forward to booking her class again when I am in town next. Thank you Lifetime Fitness, I am a fan of what you do and all the work that goes into making this massive 'cruise ship' of a gymnasium sail flawlessly! Nameste! Keep up the good work! Ahoy!
