I had thought I was bit by a spider a few days ago and was going to call a pest control company for a quote (currently my son comes and does it every 3 months). I got home today and Hydrex Pest Control was serving my 2 next door neighbors. I asked Stephen (the technician) for a card so I could get a quote. He came by after my neighbors work, gave me a quote and sprayed around the house. Excellent prices and excellent service. They even used a brush to remove existing webs. We had a great experience with the Hydrex company. The guy who came to our house (i am really bad with names) was very professional and friendly and did a very thorough job! We returned home from a three-week vacation in July 2019 to find our house and cats infested with fleas. Despite being cat-owners for decades, this was our first flea experience, and it was a doozy. After doing all the at-home tips and treatments I could find, and obviously using a product from the vet on the cats, we were no closer to being flea-free, and I knew the buggers must be in our yard as well. I asked around and read reviews, and we went with Hydrex. Nigel came out the next day, and for $278, treated our entire house and yard. I followed the instructions to vacuum every day for a week, and sure enough, the fleas were gone! After so many weeks of infestation, it felt like a miracle, and well-worth the money. As a bonus, we were free of black widows in our yard for the rest of summer. Six months later, still no problems. I highly recommend Hydrex! read more

Was willing to show me how and where to fix things to make our home we are renting more secure against bugs and rodents. I'm very pleased with them so far. They were both very informative, very nice and answered my million questions without sounding irritated or bothered. Also their prices are very reasonable. I had a scare and thought I had bed bugs and they did an inspection and were able to tell me they were carpet beatles (still gross, but easier to kill and harmless). So far, happy with the service. They were completely professional and willing to help at all times. Because of their knowledge and capabilities we have had no problems since. I would highly recommend this company to everyone. Unsatisfactory customer service. I'd give this NEGATIVE stars if I could. One of the owners, Chris Hyland acted rudely and unprofessionally when she found out that our unit was burglarized on the last morning of tenting. My boyfriend went on site before I did, and I heard her yelling at him as I was talking to him on the phone...he was talking to me calmly, he wasn't even talking to her!!! WE were the ones burglarized, her subcontractors knew the tent was slit, yet they still took it down without reporting the burglary or waiting for the police to come. At a homeowners meeting prior to tenting, Chris informed the all the residents of the building that all her "people" that work for her have had background checks and that absolutely no one can enter the building without dying because the fumigation gas would burn through the skin. Well, that wasn't true, at least not on the last day of tenting. We were ill informed by Chris. Have we heard from the company since? Of course not. The job was done (we hope) and they were paid already. I advise picking another company with a better attitude and manners... and do your own research as to not be misinformed. read more

Horrible customer service. Set up appointment to get house sprayed. Nobody ever showed. Called back a day later and spoke with owner. Asked what she could do on pricing seeing as i sat at home for three hours waiting for someone to come spray. Said that there was nothing she could do in the way of a rate decrease. Offered nothing to make me whole or fix the situation. TERRIBLE customer service. And that was the owner. I was sure that I found termites in my home. I saw the wood shavings and even a small funny looking bug with wings go into the hole. I got on line to research termite inspectors and made a appointment with someone for Thursday afternoon . The next day ( wed ) I thought I would also call another company so I had two quotes . I called Hydrex pest control and was put on phone with ( David ) the owner. He asked me a few questions about what I was seeing. After I explained he said let's get someone out to take a look. He explained that there was a $ 75.00 inspection fee that went toward the treatment if needed and I agreed. I asked if there was anyway that someone could come today since I was already on my way home from LA . He said he would rearrange the schedule and fit me in. Right on time the inspector ( Joe ) showed up and I showed him what I found . He took his time and opened up the door frame that I thought the termites where at. He then called me in and showed me that I did not have a termite problem but instead I had a leak in my shower that was causing water damage. I wanted to write this review to let you all know that this guy Joe could have told me that I did have termites and I would have believed him because I was sure I did. The only question on my mind was what is this going to cost. I was glad it was only water damage because that I can fix on my own. I happily paid my $75 dollars and thanked Joe for his honesty. I used Hydrex to take care of a rat problem in my attic. I chose them because they were local and were able to come out to my house quickly. The rodent guy they sent was knowledgeable, thorough and got the job done. Hydrex is reasonably priced and they were willing to work with my busy work schedule. They were also discreet as my girlfriend already had the creeps about having things in our attic, so they worked with me to check the traps and take out the little dead bodies when she wasn't home. I have been a Hydrex customer since 1996. I have routine quarterly maintenance and have never had to call them out for an additional treatment. The service people are professional and know what they are doing. They answer all my questions and if I feel there is a problem with a specific insect in the yard, they quickly take care of it. I had a serious spider problem in 2001 so I called Hydrex. They spayed inside and out of my house and for the past 12 years I have had no insect problems. Their bimonthly service have kept pesky ants away from my spring and summer BBQ's. They are very knowledgeable on the hazardous chemicals they are allowed to use by the state and their professionalism in application is superb. My pesky dog and vegetable garden are carefully avoided mainly because the ease of scheduling a spray time to meet my schedule. We have used Hydrex Pest Control for over 5 years. All the technicians are super nice and professional but we would like to give a special "shout out" to Josh. He serviced our property in Palmdale on 5/13/15 and we had a couple questions and concerns about something chewing a cord in our garage. He was so helpful and explained exactly what he would do and showed my husband the traps for what he thought were mice. He serviced the entire property because we also saw roaches outside, which I hate!! Thanks Josh, they are dropping like flies. We were living in a rural area at the time and were completely overrun with spiders. I spoke with Rhiannon on the phone and she assured me the technicians would be made aware of my concerns and would take the proper precautions.
