We originally had a skunk family under our deck and called All Star to help with the humane removal but when Connor came to set up traps we found out they had left. We ended up not needed trapping services but we decided to have Connor help us create a fence around the opening we had to the deck so that no animals could access going forward. They came back pretty quickly (within a week) and Connor and his colleague came to finish the job. Communication was very good and they always came during their approximate arrival times. I didn't feel pushed to do anything I didn't want to do and Connor was really knowledgeable about his work. The estimates were detailed and reasonable and my husband and I didn't feel like we were getting ripped off or there was any dishonesty. Appreciated the transparency and overall wonderful experience. Will be using them again (but hopefully not).

Four days later he showed up and told me he is not going to continue trying to get rid of the raccoon. He was nasty and intimidating. He would not return my money and he just left. I then called All Star Animal Trapping, Connor, and he said he could remove them in 2 days and he did exactly that. He explained the process and he was humane, and he did everything he said he was going to do. I do not recommend Brian Smith from All American Animal Trapping. He is a scammer, in my opinion. Unfortunately, this was, without question, the worst contractor experience I've ever had. I found Green Rodent Restoration through Nextdoor after seeing their positive reviews and the mention of potential SCE rebates. Although I later learned I didn't qualify for the rebate, I decided to move forward because the estimate and scope of work made sense. Rony was very thorough in explaining the process. During the attic work, including the insulation installation, my home sustained three separate areas of ceiling damage, including one where a worker stepped completely through the ceiling. When I raised my concerns, the foreman suggested it was because there weren't enough boards in the attic for the crew to walk on. As the homeowner, I hired professionals because I expected they knew how to safely perform this type of work. Before the crew left, I was told the attic fan would need to be rescheduled because of an issue. This only came up after they had already asked me for payment. Had I not pushed back, I believe they would have left without completing a major part of the project. When I questioned it, the foreman was dismissive rather than taking ownership of the situation. What disappointed me most was the lack of respect for my property. The crew shook a blanket full of insulation and debris into my front yard. When Green Rodent Restoration sent a contractor to repair the damage, the experience didn't improve. The contractor used my bathroom without cleaning up afterward, dumped dirty mop water containing soap and debris into my front yard, left drywall dust throughout my home, and I later discovered fresh scrapes on my staircase railing that were not there before. While the ceiling repairs are better than the original damage, they still don't look like a professional finished product. The cleanup and overall attention to detail also fell well below what I expected. In my opinion, Green Rodent Restoration should have had a supervisor or foreman present while the restoration work was being completed to ensure it was done properly. Communication afterward has been equally disappointing, and I have had to follow up repeatedly throughout this process. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Green Rodent Restoration. My advice is to take your time, compare several companies, and don't make your decision based solely on reviews or the possibility of rebates. I only wish I had shopped around more before making my decision.

I'd like to update my review since my first stellar review was for the initial estimate process…read moreonly and I said I would update (but forgot). It's been 5 years and we've had plenty of people up in our attic since Rodent Masters completed our job and any time someone goes up there, I beg them to check and double check to ensure there are no rodent droppings. During this time, we have not heard a peep in the attic which is a complete 180 from what we were hearing before - it always sounded like the rats were having a party up there in the middle of the night. The process took about a month from start to finnish because the first thing they do is cover and patch all holes or entrances up so that nothing can get in (or out) and not just outside of the house but inside the attic and inside every single area from within the house. It's a LOT of work but they did it very well. Then, they came back and, in our case, because things were so bad, they sucked out all of the insulation and then reinsulated the entire attic with much higher quality material than what had been removed. Then they came back on final time to ensure there was no activity. So, I have no reason not to continue recommending Rodent Masters and I have for the last 5 years. I do think I will contact them soon though just to have someone do a walk around to ensure there are no new holes that have developed since they were last here. Highly recommend and I'm glad to see that the reviews continue to be outstanding since the one I gave 5 years ago!

Sean even did an attic inspection and exterior perimeter measurement, which other companies wouldn't do without an upfront inspection fee. Sean will give you his honest opinion based on what he discovers during the inspection and is not pushy nor does he hide any costs, which were the best based on my research. It's hard to find a good business with that type of integrity. I would highly recommend Pest Shield to neighbors and friends if they are ever in need of a pest service.

We thought we had a mouse infestation because of the amount of droppings we were finding on our deck. Nick Jr. was very responsive when I called concerened about the excessive amount we were finding. I had already had another pest company come out before and they had been late and couldn't tell me what type of droppings they were. So Nick Jr's expertise was welcomed when he arrived an hour after I first contacted him. He quickly determined that we had bat droppings. It turns out we had 12 bats living behind the outdoor shutters. Nick and his team promptly arranged to take care of everything. After safely removing the bats they washed and treated our deck with a spray that got rid of fleas from the bats, along with their urine and feces. The technician then put a sealant behind our shutters so the bats wouldn't have a way to get back there in the future. He even wire brushed the sealant after it set to make it look neat and unnoticeable. Everyone we talked to at this company has been professional and knowledgeable. Almost forgot to mention that we were also having a spider problem, so we had them spray for those. At the end of the day, we now have a dependable family-owned business that we trust. They exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for pest control experts. read more

Nick Dallas, owner of Dallas General has been to my home a couple of times to provide pest control services around the exterior & I must say, I'm impressed. First, he responds quickly by phone or email when contacted. He is knowledgeable & has years of experience in the industry. He is professional & prompt in keeping his appointments with me. A couple weeks ago when I called him to schedule service I mentioned I was going on vacation in a few days & hoped he could fit me in right after I got back home. Instead, he said he could rearrange his schedule & fit me in the same afternoon that I called. Wow, now that's service! Each instance Nick has been to my home he showed up on time, asked questions about my particular pest control issues, imparted good advice, & got right to work. He explained the type of chemicals he would use & provided details about what would be accomplished during his treatment of my property for ants, spiders, earwigs, etc. Nick answered my questions & put my mind at ease about safety precautions concerning my dog & the pesticides. Dallas General is my go-to company from now on. And, their pricing is much more reasonable than many of the other pest control companies providing the same services. read more

I called Nick because I ran over a rat that had gotten the poison from one of the traps we have set out for them. I had left a message to Nick at 7:45 AM, Nick had returned my call before 8:30 AM and was out to my property by 8:45 AM. Nick called my back and sent me a plan of exactly what he will do, when he will do it, how long it will take and how much it will cost. On the day of the job Nick sent out Ben and Robert and I couldn't have asked for anyone better to come out and tackle this job. These two guys know so much and are so knowledgeable, efficient and honest hard working individuals. The job took them from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM to finish. It was freezing outside and started to rain towards the end but those guys only worked harder to make sure my house and my family were well taken of. I have used Dallas General Pest and Termite for the last year. They serviced my brother-in-law's property in Santa Clarita for many years, and I have now gotten to know Nick Jr. (and Nick Sr.), the owners, over the past year myself. Their services are top notch, their rates are very fair and they really know what they are doing! We haven't used them for termite work, but we have used them for keeping other insects controlled. And we have used them for help in preventing rats from entering our home, and for help in catching other wild animals (including skunks!) that seem attracted to our yard. Like myself, the owners are animals lovers. If their traps catch unwanted wild visitors (such as possums, raccoons and skunks), they will take the time to relocate them to a wilderness area, rather than just having them put down because they are nuisances to homeowners. This is a BIG vote in their favor in my eyes. read more

Nick was outstanding. I called later in the evening one night regarding chicken mites and he was at my house the following morning. He guided me through the entire process, answered all my questions without judgement, and even took the time to speak with my husband over the phone upon arrival. He's helped me since then with a few pesky buggers, and when I was unsure of one in particular, he picked it up, brought it to the lab to have tested, and was over the following day to touch up. I haven't had any issues at all with any bugs since my initial panicked call for help. He also notifies us the day before his monthly approach allowing us to be prepared with pets and kids. They are prompt on appointment dates. Great customer service of all parties i have ever spoken with. Very thorough On explaining the issue at hand and how to prep for said situations. They show up do a great job and leave no trace of ever being there, except dead bugs... Which is why you would call them in the first place.. I HIGHLY recommend Dallas General Pest. We recently moved into a two story home here in Calabasas and within a few days, I noticed sounds coming from my roof area. I'm a big baby and rather than go up there and check it out myself, I called this company, on a neighbors advice. I called and spoke with Fawn who asked me a series of questions and within 2 hours I had a technician named Nick at my house. They quickly discovered I had roof rats ( these are NOT a thing in the midwest, where I come from!). Nick was able to remove them and set up the house to eliminate any further invaders. We've been using Dallas Pest and Termite for over 10 years and are very satisfied with the service. They're inexpensive and will address any issue outside the general service requirement. They are also able to go outside the Santa Clarita area, I know this for a fact because they did our rental property in Sylmar. We had a raccoon problem underneath the property, I chose Dallas based on reviews and some phone calls I made to other companies. I was impressed with the fast and knowledgeable information I received and the thoroughness of the job. Nick's team also cleaned out the droppings, and some debris that the builders must have left under the property, set traps for vermin and raccoons, shored up the property to deter any new digging around the house, and is checking daily for any little friends. I cannot express how grateful I am to Dallas General Pest and Termite for making my home safe for my family. We had an extreme black widow problem that had me concerned on a daily basis. I spoke with Nick and he was able to schedule me quickly acknowledging my urgency. Other companies I called did not share my concern for my spider issue and tried to schedule me a week or more out. Dallas Pest control sprayed our house after my son got stung by a scorpion and we have not had any issues since. (Except for those damm flies!!!) Anyway, having a few young-ins to worry about, we were very appreciative that they were available to come out the same day we called (actually within the hour) when no one else we called was available to come out for a week or so. In addition, our dogs got out while DALLAS was there spraying and they jumped in their van and took off to look for our dogs!! Who does that? Recently moved to the Castaic area into a foreclosed home that was vacant so it was over run with bugs. We were recommended by a neighbor already on service with Dallas pest control. Got a great deal since they were already in the neighborhood and have been really happy so far. We knew from the home inspection we had termites in the garage and they treated the termites and replaced the damaged wood in my garage for a lot cheaper then the company my realator recommended. Also had a problem with rabbits destroying are grass and we have not seen any since they sealed the yard and put down a repellent. read more

I looked and looked for a good pest control company tried 2 but they were no good. Then I tried Dallas pest control and WOW what a great company. Nick Dallas came out did an inspection and found 4 areas where the rodents were getting in from . He placed traps and bait boxes out. He then came back 2 days later and sealed up the openings and I haven't heard anything since. He also sprayed the outside for ants & spiders and no problem since. When you operate a preschool and have staff tell you bees are hovering around the play yard that is not a good way to start the day. Fortunately the landlady called Dallas and they were on it promptly. This was a new experience for me but they were great, competent, professional in every way, friendly. They even shared the environmental effects of how they dealt with the bees so we could share that information with the preschoolers. They turned our day around and we are grateful. read more

Tim came out to do our service did a great job and we are now signed up for one of their programs so we can keep those pasty spiders and ants away from our house. I'm leaving this review based on multiple bed bug related visits to my apartment over the last year…read moretreatments and follow up inspections about six total visits overall through my property manager. The biggest issues were professionalism and care of the unit. On one visit, the technician made statements implying I was the source of the bed bugs that I "brought them in." Regardless of cause, that kind of blame felt inappropriate and unhelpful, especially when the problem appears broader than one unit. On the most recent visits, my apartment was left in worse condition than before the room was left heavily disturbed, there was noticeable residue left behind, and afterward I observed damage that was not present prior to service window covering, curtain damage and new scratches scuffs on my wood floors and furniture. This was a stressful experience, and I expected better care and communication especially after repeated visits. Because of the repeated issues, the condition my unit was left in, and the way the situation was handled, I would not recommend this company.

He performed a thorough treatment of the exterior and key moisture areas and the difference was immediate. It is such a relief to have a bug free home again. If you are dealing with water beetles or any other pests in Santa Clarita do not hesitate to call them because they are definitely the best in the business.

Can't recommend these guys enough, product they use dries quickly, no issues around pets, no left over film in the cabinets from the fogging. The issue I had was with the lady on the phone at Reliant Pest Control. There is a miscommunication with her. Basically, the company is looking for more money from me. I used to pay $85.00 for a service call. I called a few days to book another appointment. The lady tells me that the price is gone up from $85 to $120 every 6 months. This is my honest review. He was quick to come out and assess the situation, told me what I needed to do, and I booked him the following day to come and do his part. His communication was excellent. He told me what my best options were, and he explained them in detail. His price was great also. I don't leave reviews much, but when you find good, honest, hardworking people, you want others to know too. One thing to keep in mind: they are field operators, so if he doesn't pick up, don't hesitate to leave a message. He gets back to you right away when he gets the chance. Thanks again to Alonzo.
