I wasn't so sure if it was open since it was hidden behind a seasonal snow cone shop. There wasn't really a parking lot but there are street and neighborhood parking. I thought it was going to be a lot with christmas trees for sale but it was more than that. There are multiple small retail buildings thoughtout the garden grounds. It may look like someones home but walk right in. Each building has different products to browse through like gardens supplies, home decor, kitchen goods, and appropriately christmas home decor. There was a greenhouse that I loved to browse through. I might have enjoyed walking through the greenhouse the most since it shielded me from the cold outside. Although there isn't drinks on the premises, there was a self serve hot cocoa area which was nice to walk around to warm yourself with. I would love to come back and stroll the area during spring and summer with all the flowers bloomed in their gardens.

There's multiple little sheds and tiny houses dotted throughout the gardens, each one with a different theme. Some are more focused towards plants and others have beautiful artwork and interesting trinkets. This spot is owned by the same people behind The Margaret Cleveland in Bolton Hill and although I've never had a chance to stop by there, judging by the window displays, both locations are very well curated. I could've spent hours meandering around each of the tiny homes looking at all the interesting goodies they have. If you're looking for a housewarming gift or really any gift at all, this is such a good spot to hit up - especially for that person who maybe seems like they already have everything. There's a lot of unique cards and other items that would certainly make for a memorable gift. Although the prices on some items were a bit high, other items were surprisingly reasonable. It's one of those places you could easily spend $250 or $25 depending on what you're looking for. All the ladies that work there were super nice too and you could tell they were excited to share more information. I will definitely be back!

I was blown away with the selection of house plants and all of themat a very good price too. Considering the astronomical price tag that some plants have today. For $9.99, I couldn't leave without buying a new plant. Poor Boys has all of your needs to tend to your plants and garden. From soil and neem oil to planter pots and worm castings. They carried a good selection of annual and perennial plants for your garden as well as a smaller selection of herbs, greens, and lettuce, given the major gardening season is starting to come to an end. They even had different types of fruit trees with fruit already on the limbs. The young guy working in the garden center was really nice and answered the various questions I had. He even helped me bring my items to the car. If you've got a green thumb and are in need of some new house plants or new items for your garden, then definitely give Poor Boy a visit.

They don't have as much selection of indoor plants but the ones they do have are in great condition! The staff are kind too! The lady who checked me out asked if I found everything I needed. They are not affiliated with the poor boys in Dundalk, so if you're asked about their rewards, they are two separate things.

This review is based on the estimate process, so I can not give a grade on the actual quality of the work. And generally I do not take the time to grade based just on an estimate. Some prices will work for both parties, some prices will not. You move on, no big deal. However I felt the need to make an exception in this case. I gave this company a try (as far as the estimate) based on the few reviews available. I called the # for this company, and spoke to I am guessing, the owner. He came out when I was out (spouse was there), and provided the estimate via email. I do not fault anyone for looking to make money, that is the purpose of having a business and commerce. However the estimate here was egregiously out of line with the other estimates received by a factor of ten. Hence me informing him very simply, yet straight forward and politely, no thanks. It did initially strike us as a hail-mary, gouging price, hence this review. To honestly help inform others, as Yelp has always been very helpful and informative to me, in making my commerce decisions. However after discussing with the contractor he pointed out these were not apples to apples comparison. His scope of work included more expensive options (such as sodding opposed to seeding) . I did point out to perhaps offer more tailored estimates, or a range of estimates to be more in line with his customer's respective budgets, to avoid potential sticker shock. But after speaking to him, I am satisfied this was simply a miscommunication, rather than a padded estimate, and nothing malicious was meant. And my adjusted rating represents this. Hopefully this review will be useful to someone, both customers and contractors, in making sure both parties are on the same page regarding budget, before working up estimates. Thanks for your time in reading this review.
