He was courteous in texting me prior to his early arrival, just to make sure it would be ok. I love when people arrive on time and provide updates on ETAs. A red flag for me is when someone fails to give me an update or shows up much later than the estimated time. The way I see if, if someone doesn't respect your time, then it's a "no" to having them come out. Dan completed the work within an hour and charged us 1/3 of what this other company was going to charge. Amazing! Dan works alone, which I like because what I've found is that the large companies with many employees, the quality of work isn't really a guarantee. Because Dan works alone, he makes sure he does a great work and that his customers are happy. After the work was completed, he cleaned up the area and showed us the hairline crack causing the leak. He even recommended someone to repair the stucco. It was such a pleasure having Dan coming out. Even though the A/C was still covered by a manufacturer warranty, We Care gave me a quote for $3,500 of repairs. They also offered to 'fix' my fully working second air conditioner for $1,500. I then called a friend who owns an HVAC company. He showed me small part where the o-ring was missing. He fixed it for less than $500 and told me nothing was needed for the other unit. Without my honest alternative, I would have likely paid the higher amount and been completely ripped off. Buyer Beware.
