I went in there about a week ago for the first time, as I am relatively new to living in Hoboken. Very pleasantly surprised at how nice the office was, and how professional everyone I dealt with was. They did not pressure me to buy contacts there and were very honest/down to earth. Dr. Bryant took the time to show me pictures of my eye and explain things in a way that was very easy to understand. He was friendly, professional, and obviously 100% knowledgeable. I definitely recommend the office and will be back. During the heat wave I had the misfortune of breaking off the nose pads on my glasses. I was walking up and down with my then fussy baby trying to get them fixed so we could go home. No one in town was willing to help me until I walked into Myoptics. We were greeted by a warm friendly smile who not only was super friendly and welcoming(she even offered us much needed water) to baby and I but also was willing to help us ! Due to the brand of glasses it is not easy to replace the pads but she went above and beyond until she found a piece that for my sunglasses in her inventory. She offered us a seat while she worked on my glasses.. The part that caught my heart the most was when I looked over and realized that she was actually in the middle of having her lunch! This was my first visit to Myoptics. I needed to re-up on contact lenses. The office is a bit small, but I wasn't bothered at all since I was mainly coming in for the exam, not to shop for frames. Dr. Bryant was very knowledgeable and helpful. He made sure to cover all the bases and also taught me a thing or two about my eyes that I hadn't heard from past optometrists. He was incredibly helpful, not only suggesting proper eye care but also giving me some cost saving tips on eye care products. He kept me in the loop about what the tests were for and how to take precautions against some minor eye concerns that came up. The staff was also very amicable and helpful. There was an issue regarding my vision insurance that annoyed me a bit, but it was largely due to some fine print bullshit from the insurance providers themselves--if you have VSP, save yourself some trouble and just buy contacts from Myoptics. There's a hidden penalty for not purchasing product in conjunction with your eye exam. You won't really save money trying to shop for cheaper online--I went back to double-check on that issue and the assistants helped clear things up for me. I'm not happy about the surprises, but I appreciated how the staff handled it. The pricing was a bit high--I had to burn through my entire FSA balance--but this was again due to the insurance policy. I also opted for two additional tests that weren't fully covered by my benefits, but I was informed they would cost extra and agreed to it before taking the tests. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. When you go to any specialist for help, it's always a bit awkward due to the information imbalance. You never really know if you're getting treated properly or fairly. It all really boils down to trust. I think Dr. Bryant and his staff understand this. They made sure to keep things open, friendly, and transparent, which really makes coming for appointments and exams a lot less taxing. I've tried a couple of optometrists in the city and in Hoboken and this place beats them hands down for service. This makes even more sad (for me) that I won't be able to visit again, as I recently moved out of the area. I visited for my contact lens fitting, had a very thorough appointment with services I've never previously been offered and found out very valuable info that will affect how I manage my eyecare going forward - all in all, highly recommended! Don't know whether same optometrist is there, but I went in a few years ago for glasses. Doc was chatty and pleasant but I did not want all of the extras he suggested....just too expensive for me. Great experience at Myoptics. My glasses were bent so bad that the lens frame was on the same plane as the arms. I walked into myoptics hoping the could fix this. Alejandra was very helpful and let me know it's a 50/50 chance they could bend it back or the metal might break. She personally took care of my glasses and bent it back into shape and also glued where the lens frame weld broke. I was happy she was able to save my dolce and gabbana frames, plus it was free of charge! I will definitely try to come back here since the service is much better than cohens or lens crafters. read more

I had the WORST experience ever. I used them several times because they were in my vision plan but now I find that the customer service could not have been more awful. I was treated horribly on my last encounter. From the front desk personnel who interface directly with the customer to the Optician who has no personal skills, it has really gone downhill. Not to mention the previous visit where I purchased very expensive frames and they made a huge mistake and would't own up to it and told me to come back when I was eligible for new frames and they would fix it.
