I normally don't write reviews, but I have been coming to this Haagen Dazs location for years since I was a kid (I'm 22) and generally I feel the service and food are great I have no complaints there for typical purchases. But last week I went in person to ask about custom Ice cream cakes the gentleman who I spoke to told me to order 2-3 days in advance for a custom ice-cream cake. I had also taken a pamphlet on their icecream cakes prior to this interaction at this location which says to allow 24 hours for custom ice cream cakes. I had seen these ice cream cakes in the displays at this location for years as I said earlier and thought to myself that one birthday when I'm older I'd get one for myself. My birthday was on June 10th and Im planning a party for June 14th and I was trying to order a custom cake for my birthday party. Three days before my party on Wednesday 6/11 my mother called asking to order a custom icecream cake by Saturday and was told by the lady who makes icecream cakes at this location that she wouldn't be able to make it in time. My issue is that if I was supposed to order it earlier I would've but I was told 2-3 days prior. So now i'm forced to get a premade cake, instead of a custom one. Due to this my mother and I called all other locations in the area driving to 3 of them that were 20-35 minutes from us because they didn't answer the phone looking for a location to make a custom cake and nothing. My issue is with this location because they told me false information causing me to not only not be able to get a custom ice cream cake but cause my mother and I to drive all around miami on a mission to try to find another place to do customs when I should've been able to get my custom cake there. I went a week before asked at that location followed there instructions and still ended up with no cake. I spoke to the cake lady there on Thursday 6/12 over the phone and in-person and she basically shrugged her shoulders when I told her all of this saying it couldn't be done even though it was two days before I needed the cake by (6/14). I ended up getting a premade cake but was very upset and disappointed by all the stress and the whole mission my mom and I had to go on just to get a cake. When it should've been a quick easy interaction of calling and picking it up. I am very discouraged to ever get an Ice cream cake from this location again, and unfortunately it is the only location close to me that makes them. It's a shame really. read more

I came to my favorite ice cream place after a long day at work and I got treated HORRIBLY!!! I always get the dulce de leche kids cup and chocolate kids cup for my daughter when I asked the worker for a kids cup for myself David (the worker) told me I wasn't allowed to have that cup since I was not a child. My little ones wanted to have some ice cream so we stopped by. First of all they had a sign at the door saying "cash only" because they were having some issues I believe it was with their internet. Ok I usually don't carry cash so I was lucky that I had some cash on my wallet. I get them the small cup as that is enough for them, but this time I wanted to get gummy bears on it. I tell the gentleman that to please put some on the ice cream. Well instead of him getting something to grab the gummies to put in top of the ice cream, he flipped the ice cream upside down and just dumped it on the gummies. I couldn't believe he was doing that and I looked around to see if anyone else was witnessing this and of course there was a young lady next to me with her eyes wide open and looked at me nodding her head. I honestly thought it was not hygienic at all to do that. Let's be clear when I saw the gummies they looked clean. But after he was done I looked at the gummies and they had vanilla ice cream all over. So they pretty much will get sticky. I don't know maybe is just me that seems to think this was just not right, not that he did it with his hands but I just didn't like how the other gummies were left with vanilla ice cream all over. We have been coming to this Häagen-Dazs for a few years now. It has been part of our weekend family ritual of lunch + ice cream. Unfortunately, we've watched the customer service take a steady turn for the worst, and for that reason, we will probably be finding a new place to treat the kids to ice cream. No greetings, no smiles, and bad attitudes. This hasn't been an isolated incident, and it's not what we've encountered with any ONE employee in particular - it's been consistently bad service every single time we've been there lately, from ALL of the employees. There's no real structure as to where the line forms, or where you should pay. On our most recent visit, we were skipped ahead of twice and when I spoke up, the lady behind the counter had a nasty attitude. She told me that "the line forms behind the register", and I told her I haven't ordered yet (everyone that was behind the register had ordered and were waiting to pay). She gave me a blank stare and continued to ignore me, then proceeded to skip yet ANOTHER customer ahead of us. At that point, we left, sans ice cream. We love the ice cream and the location, so I'm giving it two stars. I should note (although I'm sure most readers will know this), that you can find Häagen-Dazs ice cream in the freezer at Publix. The ice cream was good but the service was poor. First of all, we walked in an hour before closing and the place was filthy. There was an employee sitting on a stool, on her phone, laughing away. The employee that helped us out decided to have inappropriate conversations with his coworker right in front of us. WORST HAAGEN DAZS IN FLORIDA! My mother arrived yesterday 30 minutes before close and those workers told her the machine was not working. What machine? The cash register? How does that not work? On top of all this, they constantly CANCEL my Uber eats order that I place online. And I've ordered at 5:00pm and they cancel it. I think they're just mad because I complained that they gave me a half empty quart of icecream and I even sent PICTURE proof to ubereats. And after that they always cancel my orders whenever they get a chance. WORST HAAGEN DAZS EVER. CLEANING IS DONE WHEN THE STORE IS CLOSED NOT 30 MINUTES BEFORE BECAUSE YOU WANT TO GO HOME.
