This business doesn't deserve your money or support. (Not that they act like they need it anyway). The WORST customer service I've ever experienced. Came in to purchase a cake and walked all the way to the where the register was before the guy in the back noticed there was someone there. After taking his sweet time walking over with no greeting I asked for the small strawberry cake in the front of the store showcase. Again. Not a single word as he slowly walked to the front of the case, looked to see what was there and then walked back behind the counter. I asked how much the cake was and he mumbled something I could understand. After asking the same question two more times I lost my patience and told him I didn't need the cake anymore and proceeded to leave. As I'm opening the door he says "F**k Off". Häagen-Dazs corporate needs to come and take a look for themselves. read more

I came on Mother's Day Sunday with my mother. We don't live in Scarsdale so we went out of our way to find this location. It was worth it. The person who served us was very helpful and patient. I came in with my 2 year old who has been talking about going to an ice cream shop all day. The two gentlemen behind the counter couldn't have been more kind and patient. They offered her samples of whatever she wanted to try. They gave me extra napkins before I even realized I'd need them. The ice cream is Häagen-Dazs, you know what you're getting, it's very good. They clearly keep things clean and fresh. The cakes in the freezer looked beautiful. It's a cold night eating cold ice cream and the place was nice and warm. read more

I have been going to this location for several years. The ice cream is always good BUT the guy that works there, an Indian man I believe is The RUDEST person I have met who is in sales, lol. Hard to believe. At the beginning I just thought he was having a very bad day but no, he is horrible. I spend about $30 a week at this location and just called their phone a few minutes ago to see if they had pralines and cream back in stock. What a turn off he is, even on the phone. I just thought I'd look up reviews on Yelp to see if it was only me having an issue with him. NO it is not! I'm going to call the head quarters to complain but also go to their store in Bronxville instead. The store is also dirty and ALL Summer long he didn't have the AC on. Too cheap to run it in order to give customers any comfort. Sorry for the awful review but this guy deserves it. I've put up with him for too long! read more

Nothing special for me. This place used to be special to me as I met my first love here in high school. I would come here at night to see her as she worked at Haagen Dazs. At that time it was very Scarsdale, manned by high school kids, very neighborhood friendly, fit right in , and was reasonably priced. Now it is nothing of the same in my opinion. Ice cream is just okay, but the place it used to be is no longer and that saddens me. Scarsdale, although a beautiful place to grow up, has changed a lot and is no longer the quaint village it used to be run by locals, with a tremendous family feel. As all places change, normal I suppose, just not as it used to be when I was a kid. read more

Haagen Dazs' deep chocolate peanut butter is unrivaled. The new Mayan chocolate is cinnamony, interesting. What a terribly disappointing experience! I came in last night in a great mood, wanting to celebrate with ice cream. I ordered a kiddie size, and asked for sprinkles. I didn't know which kind I wanted, so I requested half and half. $5.32 total. I asked why it was so much, and was told, by another employee who may or may not have been the manager (his role was unclear, but he was the one making the decisions in my case), that I ordered 2 toppings so was charged for two toppings. I explained that I had requested half of each, and that by no means was I given an abundance of sprinkles to warrant the double charge. Maybe there were 20 sprinkles in my cup. He literally looked me in the eye and shrugged, twice. I asked for the money back, and he said his prices were clearly listed. I walked out. So disappointing. You know what you are going to get at Haagen-Daaz, and it's good. This particular location is nice looking (it was recently remodeled) and the service is good; but even for Haagen-Daaz this is expensive. For a family of 4 to have ice cream cones, you can't get out of there under $25. read more
