Stopped by Ice Cream Social on a whim after the gym and was pleasantly surprised. The shop itself is cute, with fun Instagram-worthy flavor names. I went with the Killer Chocolate dark chocolate flavor and got the kids size in a sugar cone. I assumed that meant one scoop, but they really hook you up -- one scoop filled the cone and then they added another on top. Definitely more ice cream than I expected! Sadly, it disappeared too fast for me to grab a photo, but I'll definitely be back and will try to snap one next time. The weather was perfect, so we sat outside and enjoyed our ice cream. My friend got one of the cookie dough flavors and really liked it too. Overall, a great spontaneous stop. read more

Delicious ice cream tastes fresh and high quality. You wouldn't regret getting this instead of supermarket ice cream although that is very good too. The peanut butter brittle flavor was delicious and so was the cookies and cream. They were the two standouts. The cookie dough flavor tasted messy. I don't know if they went in with a dirty scooper or what but it had a maple flavor to it and possibly other flavors. The cannoli flavor I sampled was very mild flavored but simple and still would be good for a hot day. A great choice for anyone who doesn't like high sugar content. Maybe it was an off night? Visited on June 6, 2026 9pm. The back room was already closed on a rainy night? There were no seats available in the front room. We were a party of 4 and others were streaming in. The staff did their jobs but were not very accommodating and stated the back was closed as they already wiped it down--90 minutes before closing? The ice was not even as good as supermarket brands sadly. The ice cream was chalky in texture and had no taste, I can't see coming here again. read more

I got a scoop of the lavender and the blueberry cheesecake from here and it was amazing!! The size of the scoops for the price was good as well, definitely worth the money. We used a Groupon to buy an ice cream and a shake. It's a very nice spot with good tasting ice cream. I ordered the kahlua cappuccino shake with a scoop of killer chocolate. It was good and not too sweet. The vanilla that the boys ordered was good, but they said they've had better. The staff member there was friendly and helpful. Parking was right in front of the store on a Sunday afternoon. The variety was great service was impressive the Ice cream Fantastic I tasted 4 different delicious favors before making a choice which was nearly impossible. While there is no shortage of diverse businesses and eateries in White Plains, they never had a decent, independent ice cream parlor. While there is a Cold Stone and a 16 Handles on the Mamaroneck Ave strip, I always yearned for an ice cream spot that wasn't a chain. You can imagine my excitement when I saw signage that Ice Cream Social was coming soon, and since I had just finished dinner nearby I decided to walk over to check them out. ICS sits on Mamaroneck Ave, kind of away from the main commercial hub but still walkable if you're in the area. The building used to be a florist which never reopened after COVID lockdown, and they did a great job freshening up the space and making a welcoming aesthetic. The interior isn't large but is really bright which makes it seem very open. As you walk in you're greeted by the display counter and to the left is a walkway where they are planning to make seating. In the meantime, there are tables and benches outside where you can sit and enjoy. They have a good selection of ice cream flavors and balance out the classics with more creative combos. They have a number of toppings to choose, as well as milkshakes and to-go pints. It's worth noting that ICS serves Jane's Ice Cream, a family-operated business located in the Hudson Valley. Jane's actually services a number of businesses in NYS, I was looking at their website and was surprised to see many places I have been to use their ice cream. Anyway, since it was my first time here I wanted to play it on the safe side and ordered the pistachio. The ice cream was great - it was creamy with good flavor without being overpowering- there were also a LOT of pistachios. The consistency was somewhat unique, kind of hard to describe but definitely a welcome change compared to other ice creams I have had. With free parking, a welcome atmosphere, and a solid product, Ice Cream Social is a welcome addition to White Plains, and arguably a needed one. I'm happy to see them here and wish the owners best of luck with their new business. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their flavors. read more

I urge you to come here instead of Cold Stone Creamery- even if this place isn't churning their own ice cream. Ways away from Downtown White Plains' restaurant scene, Ice Cream Social is on the quieter side of Mamaroneck Ave. Skip inside and you'll notice bright white walls and a colorful menu. Some of the flavors lean towards the unusual- especially for White Plains. At least 20 flavors (more?) is all you'll find at Social with at least 4 of those being Sorbet and other Vegan flavors prepped with non-dairy milk. So go get ready to try the Lavender which is intense, Salted Caramel Pretzel and others. The Vegan 'Brownie Batter' sounded terrific but the Saturday night we came in, all they had was sorbet(~_~;). My (regular) Lavender was terrific and Salted Caramel Pretzel- divine. Except my 'Killer Chocolate' in my Sundae, was nothing like it. With a name like that, I expected a more profound dark chocolate flavor. Hubs liked his Pralines & Cream but loved the Lemon Sorbet with grated lemon more. Service is friendly. Enjoy your ice cream outside in their patio because it seems Social has a serious fan base. read more

This place is great! I'm so glad it opened finally! It's convenient to get to and is one of the only ice cream shops in downtown White Plains. There is free parking, as well as outdoor (and indoor) seating. There are a plethora of flavors and options, including milkshakes, sundaes and sorbet. I'm so glad I stopped by here because I've been looking for authentic Italian lemon ice and they have it. I'm so glad it was delicious, flavorful and had lemon chunks in it. The place was super dirty! The AC unit on the windowsill is absolutely filthy. The girl behind the counter doesn't wear gloves and handles all the cones with her bear hands after touching everything. She tried giving me a cone with no paper around it. The cones that are given are the ones on the display. The place needs love and care. It was messy and not at all clean. My favorite local ice cream place in White Plains and I'd say all of Westchester! It's a quaint icecream shop (with a nice homey old school feel) with delicious flavors, lots of variety - there are great daily options but often also fun seasonal flavors. I love that there are non dairy options as well for someone like me - the brownie batter with oat milk is my go to! And the best part is that it actually tastes like icecream and not like a knockoff. They use Jane's Icecream which is just yum. My husband loves the cookie dough and there was at one point the Italian rainbow cookie which he always still looks for! Friendly staff, clean environment, indoor and outdoor seating! We come here multiple times a month and love it for a fun quick date night or to bring our friends and family. read more

One day while shopping at the White Plains Bake Shoppe, I looked across the street to see that that Ice Cream Social had moved into a building that for years had been a quaint looking florist shop. Naturally I had to check out their store and found myself waiting on line with lots of children excitedly waiting to get their lovely looking sundaes filled with creative sounding ice cream flavors like " Insta-Gram" , " Banana Cookie" and " Blue Zoo"! Not only was their ice cream delicious, their prices were reasonable too! I'm more of a vanilla , chocolate and coffee ice cream fan and they have those traditional flavors too! This is the best ice cream parlor in Westchester - and maybe beyond. Jane's ice cream, which is what they serve here, is premium quality product made locally (Hudson valley).
