I was travelling on I-10 when I needed some fuel. Pulled into this station for it. The station is just like any other small station... a couple of pumps, a small store, etc. However, it was the store that prompted me to write about this station. Inside I found all sorts of local items, like a variety of flavored nuts, hot sauces, and jams. I was even able to find a hot sauce that my local area stopped carrying a couple of years ago, and I really missed it. That and a bag of nuts were to be had, and I have enjoyed both. Reading through the other posts about this place, I have to say that Melissa was just as helpful as everyone else has said. Definitely worth the stop! Thank you for being there! read more

Stopped for gas at what seemed to be just another little gas station along the way and was not prepared for the cleanest bathrooms possible! Way better than Busy Bee or Love's. The selection of locally made products is amazing. It's a down home, friendly atmosphere with the nicest people and products. Highly recommended!! read more

I pulled off i10 as I normally would to get gas and was amazed when I walked in. Melissa greeted me with a smile and sent me back to the bathrooms that were like the ones in the lobby of a 5 star hotel nice, fully renovated with floor to ceiling doors for the stalls. I tasted a ton of honey and treats they have locally sourced and bought a ton. I will be placing a large order for Christmas for sure. Bathrooms are super clean! Pecans are delicious with an abundance of variety and a kind offering of samples. My husband bought the cinnamon pecans and even though I'm not big on pecans I find my self munching on them and going back for more! read more

I have never been to a gas station with such a clean and good smelling bathroom! The staff was incredibly friendly and gave us a sample of some Pecan Pralines that were so good I had to buy a bag. They also had some fresh blueberries which also were delicious! Didn't expect all that from a gas station. Gas was more expensive but they are off the highway and supply and demand they have no competition at that exit. read more

Just happened to stop here on our way home! I ran inside to go to the restroom and it was sparkling clean! I was shocked for it being a gas station bathroom! I was so oblivious to all the different things inside on the way in and finally I saw it on my way out and had no idea it was the pecan house! I was trying to decide between praline and buttercream and Melissa let me sample both! I was sold on the buttercream! She gave me a sample of the espresso beans since she knew about our long trip! Close to the rest stop you'll find this hidden gem of a place disguised as a small gas station where you can pick up some delicious candies pecans and snacks of all varieties, not to mention the selection of honeys, jams, and syrups, most of which are locally sourced. They offer samples too, in case you're undecided. The staff was friendly and helpful, with a family friendly feel. However, I must say that the fact that the staff wasn't wearing masks was a more than a little concerning. But besides that it was a nice experience. read more

Melissa is the most awesome customer service rep ever! I thought she was the owner due to how proud she was of their little store and the products they sell-they ship-she reminds you! She was so attentive and made sure that some customers did not leave their purchases behind-she came running out of the store! The bathrooms were sparkling, and the boiled peanuts were the best we have ever tasted. We will stop there again when traveling to Pensacola from the space coast just to see Melissa! read more

This gas station is in the middle of nowhere. I had to stop here because the rest stop before it was closed. The station is small maybe 4 double pumps and 1 diesel pump. Even though it has all the shell badging and will sell you into the rewards program as a new user I couldn't redeem my rewards. Inside is basically 2 stores. As soon as you walk in there is the cash register. To your right is a limited selection of snacks and drinks. Things you would normally see at shell. To the left you see why it's not called shell. This is the tourist side. You have an array of nuts, brittle, syrups, jams and alligator heads. Yes you read that last part correctly. Various sizes ranging from $15-120+ l. The older woman running the shop was hospitable and offered samples of candied pecans. These were about $11 for about half pound bag. The bathroom in this place is very busy. Only 1 male and 1 female. While waiting in the long line that took up half the shop I was looking at other items for sale. Then I turned a saw the huge confederate flag for sale. Then the license plate covers, some smaller flags. This now made me very uncomfortable. It did not help that there was nothing around this place. You are literally in the middle of the woods. This in the middle of the night can give you a hills have eyes kind of vibe. My review is conflicted on this one. For the service I would give a 3. I made the mistake of stopping off of I-10 to get gas a little outside of Monticello, Fl. The gas station used the old style pumps where you have to go in and pay with cash. Luckily I was on my motorcycle so it didn't take long to fill up. The clerk charged me and I was like????....... "What is the price per gallon cause this is double what it usually costs?" He said "$3.80 a gallon." I just shook my head. That was the last time I go there. There were no prices advertised and no signs to say how much they charged. Ridiculous!!!! Price gougers!!! My mother and I stopped at the pump to get gas and use the restroom. As soon as we walked into the store a older lady got into us. She said, move you vehicles away from the pumps! You don't need to be hear if your not getting gas! There is a lot next door. Move you vehicles now! First of all we were getting gas, we need to use the restroom first. Secondly you never even gave us a to get into the door to even see what we were getting. Third we were also going to get snacks so we can pay for everything together. Lastly what makes you think it's ok to talk to customers, that give you money for your run down dump gas station like that. I suggest go to a different station. Very rude old lady read more

We have stopped at this Shell station/candy store on several occasions while driving to and from Disney. The restrooms have always been clean. The candy and nut treats are varied and range from good to excellent. We particularly like the pecan logs, peanut brittle and chocolate covered pecans.
