The cafe opened since my last visit was not open on a very early weekend. The area felt safe which is important to highlight these days. I walk inside and they are not busy, the guy behind the register is just leaning against the back wall and on his phone. The trash from the outside is being tracked inside. So the areas between the front doors of the building and the entrance doors to the store are littered with cigarette butts, paper, grass clippings, etc.... I took a few pics that are representative for the most part but couldn't take pics of the dirtiest areas because of vehicles and people in general. Didn't want to catch a license plate, a pedestrian or a dirty look from anyone. Hopefully, this review will get them to clean up their act.

A couple vending machines are out under a covered shelter. I saw one pavilion with picnic tables if you brought lunch. The special feature at the rest stop was a nice story walk for the kids. The Walk is sponsored by Dolly Parton's Imagination Library and the Ohio Dept of Transportation. Fran DeWine endorsed the walk. The walk offers a great break for travelers with kids. The site is as clean with easy on/off access.

It's in Gallia County on US35 westbound so I'm just gonna go with that. this is a modern rest area with running water indoors and electric lighting all over and cold beverages in season. plenty of parking for cars and trucks and all sorts of room to run yourself silly. when you're done with that have a seat on one of the benches or under a picnic shelter. try to leave the place as tidy as you found it. remember that we're all in this together even if we arrived in separate cars.
