I have been really pleased with Jen at the salon. She has cut and colored my hair, and make scheduling very easy.

I went in today to get a blow out. I have incredibly thick curly hair and get blowouts on a regular basis. Jennifer started with washing my hair and knew from the beginning I was in trouble. She didn't get her fingers all the way to my scalp and I felt that my hair wasn't entirely wet. When she took me to her station she asked if I wanted product on my hair, another red flag! Who would do a blowout with no product! She continued for an hour sectioning my hair and blowing only the roots and not keeping tension on her brush through the ends. I kept telling her I was nervous and that it looked really frizzy. She said she would use a flat iron (not a part of the blow out process and I hate the way flat iron looks). After a hour and my hair still not fully dry, I asked to finish my bangs by myself. I couldn't even get a brush through my hair! I don't know what she put in it, but it was so dry and tangled I couldn't believe it. I left without her using the flat iron as I wanted a voluminous blow out. Now I'll go home and do it myself! The frizz picture is what I left with. The pretty picture is what my hair looks like when I blow it out and I'm not even a professional! Also- my hair is still wet. I left so mad I was shaking. Macee at I am Salon is amazing and the only person in St. George that I trust with my hair. She is great at blonding and has never let me down. She is so friendly and would never try to over-charge or over promise you. I have tried about 5 different stylists in St. George and none of them were anywhere as great as her. I never write reviews or bad ones ever but I just have to say that Heather Goodwin (the owner) messed up my hair and I'm so sad about it I had to go home and re dye it myself which I shouldn't have to do right ? I'll never get my money back and I shouldnt have tipped her at all, she definitely did not deserve 25%. She bleached my hair so fast and rushed me because her son needed a haircut. When she blow dried my hair my front strands were purple and the back was orange I was so disappointed. She completely disregarded I had bangs and I had NO volume after she blow dried my hair and I always have volume in my hair when I blow dry it? I'm just honestly really sad that I spent $190 on someone who didn't even care about my hair. And it makes me really uncomfortable when someone who's over 40 years old is still a shit talker. I heard her talking crap about her employee right after she left, like why ? You are 40 years old you should not be talking about your own employee that way! How would that make you feel that you were going to change the locks on someone ? Is that how you run a business? I'm just very disappointed and would not recommend anyone coming here she didn't give one damn about my hair like wtf???? Sorry for the terrible review but u messed up my hair so bad and u know it. How dissapointing. 40 years of experience my ass. And your IT guy comes in and deletes bad reviews I know. Disgusting, you should not be using 40 Vol on me !!! That's for African American hair types to be able to penetrate the hair follicle I have fine hair all I need is 20 VOL. you shouldn't have a cosmetology license if you don't know what you're doing. "Sorry if you can't get your hair to blonde" then they both start laughing. I've never had a problem with dying my light brown hair to blonde... all because you were rushing so you could give your son a haircut. read more

Heather has done my hair for years. I have followed her to 3 different salons and am so pleased that she and her friends opened I Am Salon. This is a clean, bright, beautiful salon. They offer hair services, waxing, brows, nails, etc. The staff is friendly and so funny!
