I'm so surprised, to see negative reviews, here! I've been going to the center (for surgeries and various treatments like botox, IPL, etc.) for 20 years! I've had eyelid (blepharoplasty), lower facelift, upper facelift, total facelift, earlobes made smaller.... I've never had anything but a positive experience AND results! 12/16/19 I had a consultation Peterson for a breast explant. He placed the implants very high under my muscle at the time of a breast lift and reduction 4 years prior. He shared his confidence that I did not need an encapsulation removal at the time the implants were removed because my scar tissue was very thin. Claimed it was a 1 hour, in office procedure, done with a local anesthetic, with little to no down time. I paid and scheduled. 2/13/20 Was my breast explant with Peterson and assistant Amberly. Under local anesthetic, began the explant while I was awake with no offered sedative. Draining each saline implant before the incision was placed under each breast. While struggling to grab the drained saline bag-mentioned there was scar tissue causing the struggle. I had a shooting nerve type pain that put my body into shock. Emotional fear and shock from the pain, left me sobbing and shaking while he continued his attempts inside my right breast. Peterson nor his assistant asked if I needed anything during the complications or if asked I was in pain, if they needed to stop or offered what my options were at this point. He continued to dig into my open left breast while I sobbed and he finally got the left implant bag removed through the incision after over 45 minutes of attempts on the left breast.He proceeded to the right side. My upper ribs and skin felt as if they were tearing and on fire once he got into the breast. My numbness had wore off. He said he would re-numb a second time and be back. I needed to use the restroom so a towel under my breasts that were open, covered me up with a gown and assisted me to the restroom. Peterson came back in, re-prepped me and began the attempt to remove the implant bag, again on the right breast. He proceeded to dig, press, and pull trying to get into the breast pocket and reach the implant with success, for 30 min. He claimed he didn't have long enough tools in the office to get the empty implant bag out of my breast and would come back to it in a few weeks. He stitched me up, and left the room with out after care instruction, except to come back in a few weeks. I was given no at home care instructions or offered any Tylenol, Ibuprofen for pain. 2/13 I called Pedersen's office with concerns of excruciating pain, extreme swelling and pressure in my right breast, and rib pain. I expressed my concerns to him and he let me know I could take Tylenol for the pain and that he would touch base with me after the weekend. He said we would most likely need to drain it the following week. 2/17 assistant Amberly communicated via text so she could send updates to Peterson, to his LV office they asked me to come on 2/18 to have it drained. He had his office billing manager assisting him. During the draining procedure, neither his office billing manager or Peterson were wearing gloves. There was a blood clot on the tip of the needle preventing it to drain into the dish as they removed it. He used his bare fingers to try and maneuver it off of the syringe so it would release the fluids. He then, re-insert the needle to suck more fluid from the breast. I expressed my concerns and that I would not be awake for the next procedure. I agreed on IV sedation to irrigate the pocket and remove the silicon bag on the right breast at the surgical center. additional cost break down for the procedure was given to me for the surgical center. 2/21appointment at the Saint George surgical Center.The implant was removed while I was under IV sedation. My discharge instructions were given to me from the surgical center with no pain medications. 2/22 fever of 104 and was achy, having a hard time breathing, coughing and experiencing extreme rib pain. He responded that it sounded like the flu and asked about the breast. The site began draining a lot of blood and fluid from the incision site. He told me to place pads to absorb draining, switch with ibuprofen and Tylenol and to keep him posted. 2/23 more drainage from the incision, unmanageable pain, shortness of breath and a fever. Peterson called me in an antibiotic. I began taking it and he told me to follow up on 2/27. My incision on the right breast had completely opened, leading me to wound care. I had a large hard mass under my skin that seemed to be getting larger, on the high part of my right breast/chest. I expressed my concern for mass and open wound. He was unsure of what it was and to come back in 2 weeks to have him look at it. Never agreed it was infected, regardless of open wound and fowl yellow discharge. I didn't go back. He was rushed, unprepared with surgical tools, inexperienced, lack of interest as a patient. I received second opinions about my nerve pain, physical therapy, massages, as well as holistic healing to move forward in my healing and recovery. Once my treatment was completed elsewhere, my legal representation notified Peterson of his negligence,requesting refund on all amounts paid to him and my aftercare. He ignored. read more

This surgeon needs to be put out of business. He destroyed my self esteem and all my hard work to lose weight with his shotty work on my abdominalplasty. The day after surgery I had a fever over 101 and called like the discharge paperwork suggested. Was told I was fine and would see me in the morning for my follow up. Then at my follow up I was told "don't be surprised if the incision opens". After less than a month, they opened and I had yellowish discharge. Kept being told I was fine and to keep wearing my binder. Not only did I severly swell and had nacrotic tissue that he completely dismissed as "fine", he refused to acknowledge the fact that I wound up with MRSA and a staff infection. He told me I shouldn't have gone to the hospital for them to look at me becasue he knew what was wrong but continued to do nothing. The hospital said I needed antibiotics immediately but asked me to get with my surgeon to discuss - he said it wasn't necessary and to put a pad over the openings and keep wearing my binder. Fast foward 2 1/2 months after surgery and it just getting worse, my PCP refered me to an infectious disease doctor and wound care. I wound up on a PICC line for 5 1/2 months where I had to infuse 2 different antibiotics for over 2 hours, twice a day. Wound Care wound up cutting me open in the office and debriding once a week for over 5 months because the infection was traveling further in my body. I wound up being opened 13" of my original incision and it was 4" deep of an infection. Plus, I almost lost my belly button. Additionally, I was placed on a wound vac for 5 months. I had my surgery May 1, 2018 and didn't get the PICC line removed until the beginning of November that same year. After all this I looked to sue for neglect in care and obtained a copy of my medical records from Dr. Peterson's office and NONE of my complaints were notated in my chart...not even the first day when I had a fever. This surgeon completely botched my stomach and takes no responsibility for it. I'm traumatized but since I didn't die or lose a limb, no lawyer would represent me. It's sad these things can happen and there are no repercussions to it. Based on these other reviews, I'm not the only one that has been through this. Do NOT go to this Dr!!!!!! PLEASE do your research. I had a breast lift with implants and it has been the worst experience of my life!! I not only went to him once but TWICE with him stating he could fix what went wrong with a second surgery. Nothing was different after the second surgery!!! And I had to pay him more $$. First surgery incisions busted opened and I had necrosis of the nipple. When confronted he said it would just take time. I told him I thought he had stitched me in too tight because I could feel pulling around the nipple. He in turn denied such claim. After me complaining and my nipple turning black he did admit to the stitching being too tight. Part of my nipple in fact died and spread therefore no longer looking like a nipple. My incisions opened up to over an inch wide and after my second surgery were still left open. Left implant fell out of the pocket and right implant is stuck under arm pit. After having SECOND surgery and more money out of pocket to fix it NOTHING changed. He would try and joke and say they are sisters not twins. Are you kidding me?! What did I pay for again?!?! I saw him again in April and he wanted to do surgery AGAIN.. and wanted more $$$$!! Third times a charm?! I went to two other plastic surgeons here in the Vegas area and they are extremely hesitant to work on me because of the mess he has left me in. PLEASE do not give this man your money. Dr. Peterson is a Diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Peterson is a very skilled physician who really cares about his patients and the outcome of their experience. He has a balanced approach to beauty, and is the best of the best. He is a great communicator and good listening skills. Trust is the first thing you must have in your doctor, and I completely trust this doctor. Dr. Peterson's office is totally beautiful, relaxing, state of the arts office with a delightful and amazing staff. I especially like his wife Tammy; she is amazing, with a superb bubbly personality. She makes you feel at home, and relaxed. The staff is very organized and well prepared. Everyone was so friendly and answered all my questions in terms that I understood. They provide "best in class" services and customer service. I couldn't be more satisfied with my results. I had a great experience! I had no post-op pain or bruising with my CO2 Laser of my face and neck. This was all done while I was asleep. The only pain I felt was the IV, and I do not like needles. I had no post-op surgery pain at all! This surgery was so easy and rewarding. The results surpassed my expectations. I was well informed of what I should do and expect prior and after the surgery. The medical staff at the St George Surgical Center, in the same building as Dr. Peterson's office, was friendly, professional and caring. They were all so friendly and cared about my experience and how comfortable I was. Making me feel relaxed and less scared of the surgery. I really had no anxiety prior to surgery, do to the care given. I was highly satisfied with my experience because of the high degree of professional treatment both from Dr. Peterson and his staff, and as well as the Surgical Center. CoolSculpting was not effective for me. The results were negligible and the cost was high. I would have expected Dr. Peterson's office to follow up on my outcome. No such effort was made. I requested a follow up visit and consultation with Dr. Peterson, which they were very willing to do, and which I appreciated. I do not feel that Dr. Peterson was professionally honest in assessing CoolSculpting's effectiveness on me. I would have preferred that he simply own the fact that it didn't work on me than to hear him explain results visible to him but not me. The many disclaimers you are asked to acknowledge are there for a reason. Results vary and you take all the risk. In retrospect, it feels like a bait and switch sales effort. Dr. Peterson replaced my ten year old saline implants with silicone high profile gummy bears and a lift. Since having my first implants I have nursed two more babies. He gave me beyond what I thought I could ever have again my boobs look like they did before kids. I went back and forth on size and he always was there to help with all my questions so I could make the right decision for my body and wants. Him and his office staff were always kind and caring, he even called to check on me the night after surgery. I am beyond thankful for him and his blessed hands and the outcome of my new implants and lift. read more

I traveled to St George two weeks ago from Mesa AZ because of the expertise of Dr Peterson and his wonderful staff. I had a deflated saline implant and because of Covid I had to wait 4 months to get my implants replaced. (imagine a deflated boob, not pretty). Karen, who runs the office, and is amazing, was very helpful in everything including getting the manufacturer to replace my implants (no charge to me) even though the warranty had expired. My surgery went very well and my recovery was quick. I now have two new beautiful breast implants (saline) and look great. The surgery centers staff are also very professional and caring. I can't say enough good things about Dr Peterson and his excellent staff. He is my go to doctor if I ever need any work done... read more

DO NOT GO THIS "Dr." FOR ANY PLASTIC SURGERY! His surgeries break open along his incision lines, become infected, followed by black, dead tissue. His only reply when confronted with this ghastly scene is " it's ok, it will just take longer to heal." Absolutely no desire or attempt to fix this medical catastrophe resulting in the patient having to go to a professional, competent plastic surgeon to fix this at huge expense and many months of painful recovery. First I was told the consultation was free. They were 25 minutes late on opening up there office. I had to go to work that day so my time was limited. When they finally arrived and open up, Everything was rushed from then. They try to tell you they have better prices the Vegas doctors but they do not. I was quoted the same price as Vegas doctors. He spent no joke less than 5 minutes looking at my breast, then tells me I need a lift and he was on his way. His hands unbelievably shook the whole time, it was so bad it was unsettling. There was no talk of size, options, or what type of implant...nothing. I get dressed thinking what a complete waste of my morning. They don't care about their clients, you are just money to them period. I walk out of the room and the office lady is asking me when I want to do the procedure, I side skirt it because there is no way I was letting Dr. Shaky Hands operate on me. Fast forward 8 months ( 8 MONTHS!) they call me wanting $100 for the consultation. What? You said it was free, now you realize I am not going to have Mr. Shaky touch me you want to charge me? Out of the 6 consultation this practice has won the award for the most unprofessional and inadequate office. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY GOING TO THIS PRACTICE. Went to have my eyelids done again, as over the years the skin was hanging after a perfect operation years ago. I noticed when Dr. Peterson was doing the operation he pulled the stitches extremely tight, yanking, to the point of being ridiculous. The stitches were so tight that the skin bunched up sunk into my eyelid, Over a period of time the eye lids turned dark red and are still like that. When I went back to have the stitches out he said they come out automatically and left half in. I spent months and months carefully scratching and clawing pieces out of my eyelids. I also notice that the eyes did not match and Dr. Peterson laughed as if I was stating the eye balls themselves were not matching being very sarcastic. Me being an artist made it very clean that the eye operation was different on the two eyes, changing my looks and hard to live with. He shrugged his shoulders and said he could make a "snip" later. I have not been back as I am too scared to take a chance on this arrogant, terrible doctor. My eye lids today are permanently lumpy across the scars on both eyes and permanently dark rose from the scar to my eyelashes plus one eye is more "open" than the other. Now to find another doctor to repair his work as I could never trust Dr. Peterson with with such huge faults to do such a simple operation using arrogance to cover up the faults. read more
