Please read the previous negative reviews they are real! He is not a nice guy or reliable. Unprofessional in every aspect! He changed the appt time and dates numerous times due to his inability to manage a schedule. Then ASSURED us that he would give us plenty of time to be home so we did not need to rearrange our schedule. All calls or texts were primarily from me first he didn't even have the decency to reach out in advance. (His first text was in reference to my 11:00 am call that day directly after he accepted the order from the warranty company). After following up yet again he randomly called and gave us 15 mins to be home or he was not coming out for days (this is after he changed the times more than once and we were beyond kind and understanding). I explained that had I known I would have gone home and not had lunch with my husband. He said he got done early and had to go to Granger. I explained that we would just keep our 5pm appt and that's when he said if he had to go to Granger he couldn't keep our appt and wouldn't be out for days as he already had a job the next day???! So I sent my husband home immediately and yet he took 40 mins to get to our home. My husband had to leave for a meeting so he woke our son up to wait for him because he said "he just needed to have someone let him in". Since it was my son there I asked him to contact me personally when he got to my home so I could advise and yet chose not to. My 23 year old son was there, as stated, so I finally reached out to my son to see if he had made it to our home (since he hadn't called) and he was there. I told my son I had asked him to call so my son said "ill put him on speaker". I began explaining what we had been experiencing and unbeknownst to me (my son told me later) he wasn't listening to me at all. My son messaged me about 30 mins later and asked if he was coming back as he was just sitting in his truck. I then called him and he was crappy when he answered the phone. He proceeded to tell me he told my son what was wrong. I told him I specifically asked him to get with me and he said my son seemed smart enough??? My son is a pilot yes he is smart that was not my concern my concern was it's my home my fridge and I wanted to be advised but he failed to do so. My son was exhausted from working and flying and cld careless about the fridge so I knew he was not going to actively listen. He was condescending on the phone as he explained what was wrong and I apologized stating I was not upset with him but the entire process and just wanted a fridge. He had zero time for me or anything I said. He huffed and made noises that let me know I was bothering him. He was my 3rd technician in 3 weeks. He didn't keep appts the last never showed and the first didn't fix the issue so I had a right to be irritated and yet here I was apologizing to him for being irritated??? Who wouldn't be??? I regret that! When I asked what's next he says "you just need to be more patient I'll get the report to them in the next few days and let them decide if they want to dump money into the machine I'm just the eyes on the ground". My frustration was that I was told he was called out to FIX my machine not look at it. Per Jeff it has a Freon leak or so he claims. So why does it take days to send this report??? He made a point to say that "this is how warranty companies operate" well I'm sorry you work for them so expect the unsuspecting customer to be upset if you know how they operate and we do not. DO NOT USE THIS GUY!!! I spoke to the warranty company today and it does not take days. They said they have no idea why he hadn't already received the report or why he didn't fix it. They reached out to him and he didn't answer but they said this is not ok. I don't know who is lying or what but I know that at the end of the day my interactions with him were less than stellar and hope that I never have to see him. I have enclosed photos of our conversations so you can see how he moved the appt promised to not affect our schedule then randomly squeezes us in with zero heads up and then is late. read more

Had a water heater installed. Mike the installer was awesome. Very friendly and efficient. Took extra care to make sure that no water leaked on our flooring while hauling out the old one. Highly recommend. read more

Jeff was ok, but irritated with me because I thought I was calling someone I had used before. Did the work fine, got part and fixed. The price was so high, being on a fixed income I will have to eat tuna all mouth to pay for it. Now the refrigerator is fixed but I can't afford food to put in it. read more

Jeff, from I & M Heating and Cooling, responded as quickly as possible to my call for help when my air conditioner stopped working during one of the hottest weeks of the summer. He was very businesslike, yet kind and respectful - even funny after he had warmed to me a bit. He fixed my ac problem in under 15 minutes, and he even retrieved my necklace for me- which had fallen down inside the air conditioner- although I had forgotten to ask him about it until after he had put the air conditioner back together and was ready to leave. Same as the other review - we were connected to this company from our home warranty for a simple fridge issue. The service technician was the worst and made us feel like we were the problem. He was terrible to schedule with and he was late when sharing when he was on his way. He left a mess and it felt as if he did not respect our business, money, home, or us in general. Overall the worst customer service we have experienced. We would never have selected this company if we had a choice. Do yourself a favor and pass on this company. Thumbs down read more

Keep searching! I got hooked up with this guy through my home warranty and could not have been less pleased. Initially, my experience started when my air conditioner was seized up. I scheduled an appointment and no one ever came. A week later, a technician came out (Jim was his name, I believe. Said he was the owner) He couldn't fix it the first time for some reason and we scheduled a second (third) appointment. Before leaving he looked over the whole system: the unit outside and the mechanics inside. Everything got to working only to start leaking water all over my basement. The two are not necessarily related, I understand, but if you inspect the whole thing while you're there to make sure it's fixed right the first time (like his website claims) wouldn't you check things like the A-coil?? Now I have water running down the inside of my brand new furnace and across my basement. I will keep this as brief as possible... It took 4 more trips over the next three weeks to my house to rectify this second problem and included several issues that were not covered in the warranty; none of which I authorized. Naturally, I would have looked elsewhere as this guy (the owner, remember) appeared pretty inept. However, I was never made aware until it was time to settle up. I called American Home Shield on speakerphone alongside this guy and was basically told that's how it goes. I hung up frustrated and started to dig into the charges. They are what they are, at this point, but one in particular stuck out to me. There was a pipe that hung out in the walkway and was unsightly. Nothing was wrong with it and I could have easily done something with it myself but I am rarely ever back in the utility area so it was never really a bother. He was charging me $25 to trim it down and tuck it away. A silly little charge that we both know was never going to be warranty and I wasn't asked about. When I asked him why he did it he simply reminded me that "it is only 25 dollars" ...I replied with haste "then why don't you cover it?" to which he just looked away and tapped his fingers on my table. Everyone has an off day now and again... but come on, for 6 weeks?? read more

We worked with Jeff when our he installed our boiler over ten years. Have enjoyed the unit and saved us a ton on our energy costs. Finally this weekend we had our first issue with the unit and he was quick to get the part ordered and get us back up and running. Thanks Jeff. read more

Horrible service!!! The service tech came out to check our heat pump, but couldn't assess it fully b/c of the current outdoor temp. He took our check and said he'd call back the next week when it was warmer. He never called back and went ahead and closed the case. Now he has our money and according to the paperwork, he's finished the job, although he did nothing to fix our problem. I suggest you use any other heating/cooling service, even if it's a more expensive service call. I & M obviously has a different set of ethics than the rest of the business world. read more

We also were referred by the home warranty company. Called them and took time off work to be there for the scheduled appt. after our furnace quit working. Going to be 32 degrees tonight and the guy never showed up. Keeping in mind I called the home warranty company on Monday after the furnace quit on Saturday... now it's going on six days later with no heat. I am definitely getting ahold of the warranty company and the BBB. This place is a joke. I read the reviews but hoped for the best. Don't let your home warranty company refer you to this place if you want something done. Beg for someone else.... read more

Same as the other reviews. This guy is a piece of work. He doesn't listen, wants to argue, and is looking for whatever easy work he can find. If the job requires too much effort, he will not do it at all. He's terrible at following up, calling back, and his personality leaves much to be desired. Avoid this jerk at all costs. read more

Worst. Company. Ever. Had to have fridge thermostat replaced. Instead of getting the part from the parts store 5 min away and coming back the same day (which my plumber managed to do when he was replacing an entire water heater) they scheduled a second appt. Tech never showed up for the second appt. Had to reschedule and was very specific in requesting a call before he got there to make sure someone was at the house. No call. Luckily someone happened to be there. We will see if this actually fixes the fridge. Avoid. At all costs. Probably the only reason this company is still in business is because they have a contract with home warranty companies so home owners don't have a choice in who gets sent out. read more

A year ago we used them to fix our furnace. No issues, they came out and did their job. Recently, however, my wife called them to take a look at our A/C and scheduled an appointment. They gave us a window of noon to 5 in which we stayed home and delayed all other responsibilities in order to be there for the tech. No call no show. We gave them a second chance, much to our chagrin, and they told us it would be the following Monday (4 days later). Guess what, no call no show. Obviously upset, she called and asked what they could do to keep us as a customer and was met with defiance as they were "dealing with a lot of other angry customers at the time" and I quote "... its not like we're sitting on our duff around here", according to the man on the other end of the phone. No biggie in reality, we can find another company (and we did) who came out the next day. But here's the scary part, which prompted this review, I & M called US a few days later and warned us not to call them again and stop 'misrepresenting them'. As if we did wrong by them, as if we are the aggressor. I'm sure they will read this and know who this is and I wouldn't be surprised if we hear from them again. read more
