I shopped all over New Orleans, San Francisco, Baton Rouge, and a little in New York and have found nowhere as charming as I Do. By the time I had gotten there, I was fairly frazzled at my failure to find THE gown---any bride will tell you that this is pretty nerve-racking! I got to the store and didn't know what to expect. I remember thinking that, surely this couldn't beat Saks NY bridal (which was a failure, too). Y'all, this place is like a little slice of heaven! It's so chic and inviting--you won't want to leave! We were given a menu of waters, champagnes etc to pick from while we sat on the couch and enjoyed. Ramsey, the owner (young, blonde and very stylish---you'll want her to be your bff!), sat down with me and talked me through what she had in mind. The first thing that I noticed, was here seeing me as an individual--not a number. She knew my name, and was engaged in my story---and was very attentive to my thoughts and needs. I felt open enough with her to say "No, I don't like that", and she totally rolled with it. Other places I'd gone had been either snobby, or like a cattle call where I was to take a number (NEW ORLEANS!). I'd emailed her some dresses that had been what I DIDN'T want, and had described my wedding--so she had her wheels turning already. She and I came to the conclusion that we'd go the custom route. She immediately got Heidi Elnora, a designer that she carries, on the phone and we all brainstormed. Heidi, out of Birmingham, seemed to totally "get" my concept of elegant southern style with a pinch of sexy. A few weeks later, Ramsey and I flew to see Heidi and start on the dress---which we did for fittings a few times until it was DONE! Long and short, Ramsey, and I Do Bridal Couture were there for me every step of the way. I got the gown of my dreams, and I'm WEARING IT TODAY! This is one of the most important dresses I will ever buy and I want to make sure I make the right decision. I Do Couture was the first shop I visited, where I was greeted by Ramsey Sims (owner) and her team. She was warm and welcoming, happy to give advice and share suggestions and ideas. She even provided us with vendor suggestions! We had a one on one appointment and never felt rushed or pressured. I left the store knowing the first dress was the one! I have to completely rewrite my review for I Do Couture....The owner of I Do Couture actually called me until I returned her call when she found out that I was so upset about my experience with her company. Upon calling her back about our problem, I realized that she was so upset that there was a miss communication, and she was not told in detail about why I was so upset. She made everything right and her utmost concern was for my niece, the bride. I would definitely do business with her company again, knowing that she apologized about the problem and did make everything right. She really cares about the bride and family, and her decisions through the phone call i had with her definitely showed me that most important to her was our experience picking out a bride dress, veil and belt. I purchased my wedding gown from I Do Bridal Couture in February and my experience was nothing short of amazing! The sales associates and the owner Ramsey were so helpful during my appointment and made sure I was pleased with every aspect of my dress. They even helped me pick out my finishing touches including my veil and jewelry that went perfectly with my gown. If you're shopping for the best selection of couture dresses from a locally owned, home grown, sensation this is the store. I Do Bridal Couture's experience has been featured on People, Glamour, and E! Entertainment. And it's in Baton Rouge, shocking!!!! The store is elegant, and the girls give you the customer experience you deserve. My experience was a couple years back but I passed in front of the store today and it brought back memories of my experience. Unfortunately it was the biggest letdown I could have imagined. I had a one-hour appointment reserved. They didn't have a wide selection of dress styles at all. They wouldn't allow me to take a picture of a dress with my phone. They seemed to be selling an "experience" more than the actual dresses but they didn't even offer my mother or I something to drink. Not a big deal, but you'd expect that from your appointment in this sort of boutique. I ended up purchasing a beautiful dress at another boutique across down, but honestly, even David's bridal had more variety in dress styles. I was so pleased with my experience at I Do bridal couture. I had gone dress shopping other places and was disheartened that no one could really understand how I wanted to feel on my wedding day in my dream dress. My experience at I Do was one I will never forget. The store is absolutely gorgeous filled with stunning bridal gowns. The consultants and owner, Ramsey, were so welcoming and helpful. I searched for months at every shop in New Orleans to Gulfport then decided to hit Baton Rouge. I Do had the most gorgeous veil we ever saw ... well lots of them but we had to choose one. The owner helped us she was so sweet and helpful. She steered us in the right direction which at other shops we had only been given veils and prices. She really cared that we were happy and satisfied with our selection and that our wedding day was a special day because of her input. I wish I had known about this shop before I bought my gown.
