We drove 30 miles to give this casual hometown diner a try. Clean dining room. Friendly employees. I was adventurous and tried the Whenever burger with egg, hash-brown, bacon, and chorizo. It was a rich taste because of the chorizo, and very flavorful. My husband LOVED the hand battered steak fingers with mashed potatoes. I topped it off with the Angel Delight Chocolate Lover ice cream waffle bowl. While this place is terrible for my waistline, it was good food and worth the drive. I'll probably try the steak fingers next time. My husband says he's coming back for a 1/2 lb burger! read more

If you want fancy shmancy, this place if not for you. If you want excellent food at reasonable prices, this is the place. The staff are very friendly and really make you feel wanted. My 1st visit to this family owned restaurant was a great experience. Staff was friendly and offered multiple suggestions on what to try. The majority of their offerings are burgers from simple to everything you've wanted or needed on a burger. Tater tots were hot and fresh, not super greasy but they're tater tots so there will be grease. They hand dip Blue bell ice cream for desserts and shakes, I'll try one next time. read more

The food tasted amazing, I can't recall the name of what was ordered but it was pretty much a bacon cheeseburger with extra bacon. Again, the food was amazing, but it took a literal hour for our order to get to us. I am not being colorful when I mean an hour, it was a dull sixty minutes before received our food. Price is comparable to other places to get a burger in town, but the time my wife and I went... they had just cleaned the bathrooms and the whole place smelled like bathroom cleaner, and it took close to 45 minutes for our food to be out. Great find! We were in Levelland for a basketball game and wanted to try something local. The name GRABBED our attention! I can't count how often I ask the family what the want to eat & I hear, "I don't know". The small inviting diner was easy to find. We were promptly greeted & seated. The specials looked great but we settled on a bacon cheeseburger with hand cut fries from thier extensive burger menu and probably the best grilled cheese I have ever had! Cheddar, Munster,& Colby Jack on artisan whole grain bread. Both meals were piping hot. The waitress informed us that they now do ribeye steaks on the weekend! Lubbockites took a trip to the DMV in Levelland only to catch it closed for lunch. We found this place and we were so glad we did. The burgers, fries, and onion rings were delicious. Our burgers were juicy and very delicious. The have a great selection and some pretty crazy burgers. We even ordered ice cream! It was soo good. The restaurant was clean, the service was wonderful, and the music was great.The owner and his family took time to talk with us and be sure we had a great experience. We left overly full and happy. I used to go here a lot and the food was great until one time it wasn't. I noticed they had a different cook then usual. I came back the next time and it was the same cook and the food was disgusting like the last time. I'm a local so about a year or so ago I decided to try it. Long line, one employee working, one standing, doing nothing. Couldn't even retrieve necessary supplies from the back. After standing in the non moving line for far too long, I left. Decided to contact owner via FB and advise of experience. Was advised it would be taken care of. Next thing I know, I'm getting a FB message from "doing nothings" mom blasting and borderline threatening me for getting her daughter fired because she has a baby, it's everyone else's fault, she wasn't doing nothing, bla, bla, bla. Seriously?! Advised the owner of this interaction but never heard another word back. Never been back either. Can't say anything about their food - have yet to try it! Don't know whether it was lack of training, lazy, or both, but if I were a business owner, I would want to know. I do now out of all the reviews I have done, getting blasted by an employee mom is a new low! read more

First saw this place when driving by to the post office and decided to stop in for some ice cream since they were about to close. The lady we first met was extremely nice, and helpful, she told us all about their burgers, including some off the menu items. We decided sometime later on during the week we would stop in for a burger. They close at 9, and I showed up around 8:20/8:30, thinking that it was still an okay time to stop in. (I've worked at restaurants before, so I didn't think anything of it). The First Lady we met wasn't there, but 2 other younger looking girls were. I told the first girl that I would be waiting for someone else, so I went ahead and sat down. She didn't come to the table and ask what I wanted to drink, hand me a menu, nothing. I sat there for about 5 minutes before she brought me a menu, mind you, I was the only one in the restaurant. Still no drink. By that point, I called my boyfriend and asked if he still wanted to eat there, and he said yeah since I was already there, and to go ahead and order for him. I waited and waited and the girls just sat there at another table on their phones until I said I wanted to order. She took my order and started to walk away, when I stopped her to ask her for a drink. Food came out pretty fast, and it was decent on my part. I ordered just a burger with chili and onion rings. My boyfriend ordered the "Whenever Burger", which has a patty, over east egg, bacon, hash brown, and chorizo. He said his chorizo was still kinda cold and not cooked all the way, and his fries weren't cooked all the way either, and I could tell because none of them were golden, they looked frozen, and white still. They were probably in a hurry since we came so close to closing time, but that shouldn't have made a difference. Very disappointed. read more
