I met Mr. Maliki on a Thursday, he came by and looked at the items we would need to be moved from the home. We walked around the home so we could show him what we wanted to get rid of. Mr. Maliki was such a gentleman, he gave us an offer we could not refuse. Time is off the essence as our home is in need of major repairs. Mr. Maliki came punctually today as scheduled to remove the junk items. Not only did he and his partner take the junk we needed to discard, but the brothers helped carry other heavy items that we needed help with to our regular garbage areas. He kindly helped me to bag up whole sets of books from two cabinets and 10 contractor bags later. Because of their swift response to the request for help, we can now help mom get repairs done in her home. These gentleman are truly above and beyond, punctual, fair and courteous. The team at I Haul Junk is fantastic. I booked them for an office move - we had five years worth of stuff to get rid of and they handled it perfectly. They not only came out to give a quote but also took photos and video of what needed to go in order to make sure they sent enough team members for the job. They arrived promptly at 9am as planned and were in and out in two hours flat. Their team was super careful when breaking furniture down, and even helped move a few heavy electronic items into another room to make sure they wouldn't be damaged. I never post reviews on Yelp. This is my first post (always read em, but never post). We called I-Haul-Junk yesterday after waiting for a callback from another company that didn't need the business (never called back). Maliki the owner took the call and we arranged to do a facetime call so that I could show him what we had (an apartment cleanout). He told me the rates (that are posted on his web site) and I accepted the rate. I-Haul-Junk showed up on time, the next morning, and had the apartment cleared out in 1 1/2 hours. The guys he had with him were extremely polite and worked very hard. We are so very grateful to I-Haul -Junk. The made the day excellent and virtually stressless! Maliki and his co-worker (sorry - I forgot your name!) called to confirm the appointment, and showed up on time. We had three large, heavy pieces of furniture which needed to be carried down a flight of stairs. They were able to negotiate the stairs without any damage to the items or the walls. There was enough additional items that they needed to make a second trip, but they gave me a return trip time, and picked up everything I needed to have removed. I needed a quick response, as we were selling my parents house, and these guys were top notch. They were prompt, friendly, polite, efficient and reasonable. My worst nightmare happened with this company. I corresponded with them through yelp and booked a week in advance. Everything was confirmed but in the day of the supposed pick up the guy emails me (after my appointment time ) to tell me the driver didn't show and he had to reschedule for tomorrow. I highly recommend going with ANY other company. In my 20 years of being in my field, I have never worked with a company, let alone an owner, that is so ill mannered and unprofessional. The owner tried to add over $230 to the initial cost for inaccurate reasons and continued to yell and personally insult me because I refuse to pay it. These guys are great. We'd putting off for years getting rid of our large, 40 year old couch. We recently found something that could replace it and we had to get rid of the old one, fast. We found I Haul Junk through Google and Yelp on a Saturday afternoon (yesterday) and made an appointment for the next day (!) (Sunday--today). The truck arrived a few minutes late, but that was OK, because they called in advance to let us know about that. Nice guys, got the job done fast. The cost was consistent with the rates they advertise on their website. I'm still amazed that we got rid of a big volume piece of furniture in less than 24 hours. Couldn't recommend these guys more. I booked the appointment on Thursday for early Saturday morning. We had a full bedroom that my parents had turned into a dreaded junk room. A whole 10 x 12 room just filled practically to the ceiling. These guys showed up and while it took them 3 hours to do cleared the whole room and loaded it onto the truck and took it away. They were super nice and didn't really have a problem with packing up a lot of our stuff into garbage bags because it wasn't already just ready to go. They overcharge and will arrive an hour and a half late and act like they're doing you a favor for showing up?! Wth. Be warned, Maliki and this other guy that was there with him do not care about your public apartment property. So if you have furniture or anything that is slightly heavy, they will carry it outside of your apartment and then when you're not in sight they will literally slide sharp, heavy objects down across the floors. So much so that I was billed by the damage from my building!! read more

I was moving on a busy weekend and was gettjng rid of a lot junk. I called a different service who arrived as promised but didn't have the space in their truck for my job. I was stuck, and the service was booked solid for the rest of the weekend. I called I-haul-junk and they made an an appt between 3 and 4. I was a little stressed so when 3:45 came around and I hadnt heard from anyone I called and was told they were in my neighborhood, which was true. My only criticism is that a courtesy call would have been nice. they showed up and were very polite, respectful and professional. They finished what seemed like a difficult job in good time. Then I found them cleaning up the space, which surprised me. their rates were competitive and fair, and their responsiveness got me out of a real bind. These guys were great! I had a HUGE sofa sectional that needed to be moved out of a 3rd floor walk up. It was very very heavy and this was super difficult. Maliki and his coworker took on the challenge. It took a while but the sofa made it out. They were as careful as they could be under the circumstances, and they were very polite and courteous. These guys were awesome, and I'm definitely planning to use them again when I toss some items from my storage space in a few weeks. I was so happy with the service, I actually texted a friend (who's moving soon) to recommend them while they were still at my place loading the truck with my stuff. They were really friendly and professional, and got my huge pile of trash bags and an insane amount broken-down boxes (there were hundreds) out of my apartment in a few minutes. The price was really reasonable, and lower than the other places I'd checked out. It was also super easy to book online, and on the day of my appointment, when I realized I needed to move the time to a few hours later, I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to do that online as well. They ran a little late getting to my place, but someone from the office called to let me know they'd gotten stuck in traffic and would be there soon, and they showed up within a reasonable timeframe. I always plan for some extra time when I call any kind of moving/hauling service anyway--in this city I feel like they're up against too many variables to guarantee they'll be there right on the dot.
