Vince promptly scheduled an appointment with me and arrived to see what I needed done. We agreed on the full boat. He contacted to replace my siding, windows add new fascia, soffit and gutters. I also needed some work done in my garage and a couple of things done in side my home. He also replaced 3 doors inside and out along with new locks. On top of all this Vince recommended a garage door company to install a new electric garage door. Once the materials arrived Joe and Martin went right to work. These are two of the most polite, respectful hard working men I've ever had work on my home. Even to the point of doing some extra things I needed done. The work was done in a timely manner and the quality was excellent. The overall cost was very competitive and I truly appreciated all the extra things they did without any negative comments. Most importantly and impressively - they did the entire project in just 2 days! Our yard is fairly large and challenging - the ground is not level and there are a lot of rocks and bricks buried (I have no idea why the rocks are there, but they are and I know that had to have been difficult!).

After some research, we felt good about calling Terry and the crew and scheduled them to come out for a quote. When we met with Terry to get his vision for a retaining wall; he was friendly and knew what we wanted from the start. He was able to match the brick work that was already pre-existing in the back of our house; which was a plus! Terry and his crew scheduled a time to come out to work on the wall; and they made it look awesome! They made sure to include drainage areas and the tiered looks is just what we wanted for the steep incline in our yard. Not only do we use GLC for our retaining wall, we also use them to treat our yard and do most of the yard work. When we first moved in, our yard was filled with mostly weeds and we had a "grub" problem. Well, with their help, our yard is looking better and the grass is actually green and well taken care of! They do all sorts of treatment throughout the year for us at a decent rate and we are so lucky to have them come out to mow the lawn too! When the crew arrives for lawn service, they get things done pretty quickly and always make sure to clean up after themselves. Overall, we will continue to use GLC and are happy to recommend this company to anyone! We have only had positive experiences with them right from the start. We had are driveway sealed yesterday and what a outstanding job…read more Doug does such a great job, he made our driveway look new. First he had to remove excess gravel from when we had it chipped and sealed believe me that was a job in itself. Then the cleanup began, there was a lot of dirt that had built up under the gravel had to clean that up so the material would seal to the driveway. Once Doug was able to start what a fantastic job, this man is very particular in his work which I am very grateful for . He made our driveway look new once again, and also he communicated with us very well. Our experience with Big Bend Landscaping left much to be desired. Our initial outdoor living space…read moreproject last year took over 6 months for completion. We accepted their proposal in June 2024, making a large deposit for the project to begin. Yet we struggled to get any kind of a project timeline from them and had difficulty getting timely responses. Finally in early November 2024, the project was completed but unfortunately the space couldn't really be used given the weather. In March of this year, we contacted Big Bend Landscaping to inquire about the patio pavers being discolored. After multiple visits by Big Bend Landscaping and representatives from Belgard, we were informed that the pavers were defective and the entire patio needed replacing. We agreed to have the work start in August and we were advised that to ensure no other discrepancies, a supervisor would be onsite the entire time with the crew. In summary, this did not occur. Pavers were delivered without their presence. The following day, the laborers began dismantling the old patio, without supervision, loading huge amounts of pavers into their dump truck, causing multiple cracks to our new concrete driveway. We immediately informed Big Bend Landscaping and were advised that they would either repair or replace the two concrete pads - whatever we wanted them to do. However, when it came time to address it, we were advised that the owner, Joe Francke, refused to pay to have the concrete replaced and that they were not responsible for any damage to our property. Instead, they attempted to repair the cracks which made it look even worse. See the attached photos. We have attempted to communicate with Big Bend Landscaping on this decision and provided them with a quote from our concrete company. However, as was the case with our entire engagement with Big Bend Landscaping, the current owner elects not to respond. There are far too many landscaping companies in the St. Louis area that would love to earn your business and treat you with professional courtesy. This is not one of them.
