Hot Date cheesesteak. $15 Hard to screw-up shaved rib-eye, and they didn't. Easy to chew, but not much in terms of serving; and about 1/2 of the 7.4 oz weight was cheese/onions/peppers. Pretty standard flavor/taste. Nacho cheese is sparingly applied directly to the bun. (and nacho cheese, really???) Lots of cherry peppers - yummy. Not many caramelized onions. Bread: JUNK!, zero love here. It was like a stale hot dog bun/roll. For this part of the world and at this price, unacceptable. Service - quick turn around. They were making them and putting them in a warmer. But I got there early enough to were it didn't seem to effect the sandwich. I didn't eat the bread (see note above) and because of a small portion, I was left hungry. Value is not justified.

Tried this food truck @Off the grid @sfo. My work colleagues and I decided to try their delicious looking cheese steak sandwiches And the fish&chips from their menu. They all Looks so mouth watering. We opt in ordering from OTG app since there's always a %25 off promotion so that was a plus. When we picked up our orders it was absolutely freshly done and made to your liking. The staff are super friendly and accommodating to our needs. When we sat down to have our meals, we absolutely love it. It was super good! Can't wait to have them again when they return to Off the grid @sfo.

    Steak fries! So delicious!

As if the smell alone wasn't enticing enough... I have to tell you that this place is the bees knees. Hands down! Can't imagine my love of cheesesteaks before this place! The food truck stopped by my work location recently and I treated myself to some savory steak fries. A generous helping of crispy, lightly salted, french fries covered in a blanket of marinated and cooked to perfection rib eye, perfectly partnered with grilled onions and just graciously topped with gooey cheese sauce. *drools* If your a fan of carne asada fries, this dish will thoroughly satisfy your taste buds! Sooo much flavor and fresh deliciousness.... The line to order was extremely long.... but I'll tell you what... definitely worth the wait. My coworkers had the hot date and original cheesesteaks... no complaints. No anything, in fact... them eating today, was the quietest they've ever been while in the break-room!! Great service, excellent food, generous portions. You honestly can't go wrong with "I love Cheesesteaks!"

Korean BBQ Bulgogi.. slim pickings but extremely delicious. The potato salad is from the carton.

I was a little disappointed in the portion size but honestly after I took a bite and finished it along w/ my potato salad, my stomach was quite satisfied. I ordered the Korean BBQ Bulgogi- I love the scallions on top. It gave the cheesesteak a bit of crunchy finish. I Love Cheesesteak was at the kiosk at work. We get a notification every Sunday of which restaurant are coming so you can plan your week. Though I should really be on a diet but I indulged after my workout. I go to the gym at lunch and the gym is right next to the cafeteria and this kiosk so it's almost like they are forcing us to buy! Really tasty... even my picky counterpart liked his cheesesteak (he ordered the normal one).

the "I Love Cheesesteak" food turck was at Off the Grid@Alameda, 10/16/21, offerings: "cheesesteak" sandwiches, fries, fish & steak. eats: Phily Cheez (12) came in a hot dog bun, not toasted french roll. -slight taste of cheese whiz, nada onions, 3 jalepeno slices, and a glob of "marinated" ribeye steak. -gone in just a few bites, food ready in minutes. -not a good value, -just a few tables available for dining.

I'll review after our order is ready

I got the original cheesesteak. I highly recommend adding jalapeños!!!! The meat quality was great and the service was very fast. These are great cheesesteaks. My only complaint is the hoagie get super soggy. They even gave a fork and knife to eat it with. The hoagie should be more firm to get a five star rating from me. Overall, great food and all food items under 11$, so it's affordable!

Regular Philly Cheez (No bell peppers)

I went with the regular Philly Cheez (no bell peppers). The bun soaked up all of the meat juices and cheez whiz. So good.

I love the cheesesteaks from I Love Cheesesteak. It's even better than some of the cheesesteaks I tasted in Philly!!! The ribeye is fresh tasting and perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy. The melted cheese oozes with deliciousness. The bun is soft, but can still hold all the meaty and cheezy goodness. Get the bacon cheesesteak and get a little texture and flavor from the crispy bacon. I've tried all the cheesesteaks on the menu. My favorite is the bacon or the original, because I like the classic taste of a Philly Cheesesteak and bacon always make everything taste better. The Bulgogi cheesesteak was good, but more on the sweeter side. Not really my preference, but it was still really good. The staff is nice and courteous. I look forward to ordering cheesesteaks every time I see the truck show up.

Really good cheesesteaks - so much flavor! The BBQ Bugolgi Nice change from the traditional, although OG Philly Cheesesteak is bomb too!

My philly was delicious! I ordered online and it was ready by the pick up time. Ordered the one with bacon and added cherry peppers to it for a kick. 10/10 would recommend.

Glorified "Asian fusion" cheesesteak. Not bad but I feel scammed after paying $20 for a soft hotdog bun with bulgogi and American cheese.

The portions are serious, the chicken is juicy, and the breading has a great crunch. What really sets them apart for me is the spice. I've had levels 3, 4, and 5, and they're not simply the same seasoning with progressively more heat. Each level actually has a different pepper profile and flavor. Level 3 brings cayenne and Thai chili, level 4 moves into Thai chili and habanero, and level 5 adds habanero and ghost pepper. You can taste the difference, not just feel more burn. The seasoned fries are great too and they definitely don't skimp on the portions. It is a little pricey for a chicken sandwich and fries, but when you see the size and quality of what you're getting, I think it's worth it. Scratch is easily one of my favorite hot chicken spots.

We ordered the Texas chicken sandwich and chicken strips. Portions were generous, and the sandwich was super tasty. The strips were fresh and flavorful, but be careful with the spice levels! We ordered level 1 and it was flaming hot. Even level 0 has a kick, so I'd recommend going one level lower than you normally would. The curly fries were also great. Overall, a solid 4/5. The only star off was for the spice-level calibration. Great food and portions, and we'll definitely be back!

It was pretty calm during the day and didn't seem to get a crazy amount of foot traffic, which I actually enjoyed because we were able to sit down, relax, eat, and enjoy the atmosphere without it feeling crowded. Between our food and drinks we spent around $46, so I would say it's moderately pricey, but everything we had was good. I had a birria taco from Mi Lindo Apatzingán, my husband got four tacos, and we also got rice and beans that we really enjoyed. Our food came out pretty quickly, definitely in less than 10 minutes. We also got sour apple drinks from Las Cherry's. The drinks took a little longer, over 10 minutes, but there was only one girl working at the time, so it was completely understandable. The drinks were refreshing and I definitely want to come back and try more of what Las Cherry's has to offer. I really like the whole concept here because there are so many different food trucks in one place. There's plenty of covered outdoor seating, TVs to watch while you eat, and colorful decorations that make it a fun but still calm and chill place to hang out. Even with some of the trucks being closed, there were still plenty of options. I would definitely come back, especially to try more from Las Cherry's and the potato food truck that caught my eye!

I finally decided to give it a try after hearing about the restaurant from food reviewer Dave fiore text. As someone who absolutely loves tacos and is always on the hunt for great local taco spots, I was excited to see how this place compared to some of my favorites. I ordered four different tacos, and overall, they were pretty good. They weren't bad by any means, but they also didn't quite blow me away. The meat was cooked well, the tortillas were fresh, and the tacos had good flavor. The salsa was decent too, although I personally prefer something with a little more kick. Everyone has different tastes, so this is just my opinion. One thing I really appreciated was how clean and organized the restaurant was. You can tell they take pride in keeping the dining area nice and welcoming. The staff was friendly, and my food came out quickly. It's always a good sign when a restaurant pays attention to both cleanliness and customer service. I've eaten at a lot of taco places throughout the Bay Area, so I naturally compare every new place to some of my favorites. While El Halal Mexican Restaurant didn't make the top of my list, I still had a good experience and I'm glad I finally gave it a shot. Not every restaurant has to be your favorite to be worth visiting. I also like supporting family-owned businesses because I know how much hard work goes into running a local restaurant. They deserve credit for creating a clean, welcoming place and serving quality food. Will I come back? Maybe. If I do, I'd probably try something different on the menu instead of the tacos. Sometimes a restaurant's best dish isn't the first thing you order, and I'd be interested in seeing what else they have to offer. Overall, I'd give El Halal Mexican Restaurant a solid 4 out of 5 stars. It was a good experience, I'm happy I finally got to try it, and if you're in the Willow Glen area, it's worth stopping by and deciding for yourself.
