Only a mile off a noisy highway, but you'd think you were worlds away. Our group rented 2 units - the Coyote and the Steel Magnolia. I was ready to move in to the Coyote forever. Our host thought of EVERYTHING for our comfort and convenience - even kits to make S'mores (long forks included). Ice was ready in the freezer and there was a Kuerig with several pods of coffee. Water pressure in the shower was great and there seemed to be plenty of hot water. The queen bed was quite comfortable and the Austin-themed decor was a lot of fun. If we had had more time to just hang around, I'm sure we would have used the propane fire pit.. The Steel Magnolia Airstream was great fun for our daughter and grandson. She's always wanted to go on the road with an Airstream. This way she got to experience the Airstream without towing it from place to place. Again, the host thought of everything. Instructions to check in/out were very clear. The location was very close to many amenities, but yet you felt relaxed and away from all the hub bub. I would definitely stay there again if the opportunity arose.

We felt 100% at home. The atmosphere was better than any hotel could ever be. The villa and the individual suites are furnished with love and also the garden is simply great. And drove back to the cabins instead of staying the next night in Austin. This place is heavenly. To begin with, it is a gorgeous setting ~ quiet, calming, lovely views from the porch. Next, the interior is BEAUTIFULLY decorated and appointed ~ nothing left to chance from the dishes to the wifi & TV. These cabins are elegant, more high end than some expensive hotels. And, yet, they are rustic ~ fantastic reconditioned barn wood ceilings, gorgeous stone bathrooms (with shower large enough for two;), giant full cabin length deck. I felt very pampered by the comfy king bed (super delicious sheets!) and the outdoor jacuzzi (easy to use). Another plus is that the owners are great. Easy to deal with and so willing to help. We LOVED our stay and are looking forward to staying again. If you get the chance, stay at Stony Ridge. You will be enchanted too!!!

I loved the covered porch with surround sound and the hottub. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were super soft. I also loved the shades that you simply pull down to cover all the windows at night. It really was peaceful and just the getaway we needed from the city. However, for the price I expected much more because I have never paid this much for a cabin that didn't include everything we needed for our stay. It also could have been a little cleaner for my liking when we arrived. First, they only provided 3 dinner plates, 4 small plates and 4 bowls along with 4 forks, 4 knives and 4 spoons. This would be OK if there were two of us and we were only staying one night, but they knew there were 3 of us and we were staying 5 nights. If you allow that many people for that amount of time, then you should provide enough of everything they will need during their stay. I mean who doesn't at least have an 8 piece setting? Also, while there are pots and pans, they are the cheap metal kind that everything sticks to, so basically useless. And don't count on using the oven because they only provide 1 glass 9x14 pan, so bring your own pans if you want more than a casserole or microwave dinners. There is the grill but its small. Also, the seating in the living room is not very comfortable and really only accommodates two. There is the patio, but again there is only setting for two. And it does get chilly on the patio in the evenings and unfortunately only 1 throw blanket was provided. We had to drive 40 minutes away to the nearest Walmart to get all these basic items that weren't included and that was frustrating. I would have simply brought my own items if I had known. If you are looking to only stay one or two nights with your significant other and you don't plan on making your own meals, then this place is great, but for a family who likes to cook who prefers comfort over looks, then I would look elsewhere. For that reason, I am only giving 4 stars.

He called us the other day and said that somehow a wedding booked through VRBO had been automatically canceled and was booked for the same day. Next, he told us that we could make whatever decision we wanted because it was our booking confirmed through Airbnb. He also offered to get us somewhere similar at half the price but sent two Airbnbs that we didn't like and called it a day. Later that evening he said he was going to cancel our booking because the wedding already had "several VRBOs booked nearby, 12 caterers and 60 guests with a good chunk coming internationally."

Everything is neat as a pin and perfectly decorated. Kimberly is always available to walk you through setting your music up to the house speakers or remind you of your gate code. We were attending a wedding in Driftwood and thought this place was to expensive but once we looked at what was near there (nothing) and the price of the econo-lodge it turns out not be expensive at all. The private lake was great for swimming, kayaking, fishing etc. The tennis court and the basket ball hoop kept the young at heart busy and rest of us lounged in the spacious, roomy, cozy home. The three living areas are great and we never felt crowded. The home is like something from Southern Living. It is so relaxing. The owner left us some of his home made moonshine and a bunch of cigars for the men for outside use.
