Because of the holiday, the place wasn't that crowded.  Lots of folks going in and out of doors, so there were quite a few flies inside. We were seated immediately and given our card to post when we were ready to order. As noted in other yelp reviews, there wasn't a real clear explanation given about the posting of the "we're ready to order card," but we figured out that it goes in the small metal holder on top of the paper towel stand on the table.  Cudos for the perforated paper towels, we've been to other similar restaurants where the paper towels are not perforated, making it very difficult to tear off a sheet or two. We stopped two different servers to ask questions about several items on the menu before we ordered, both were generally unaware of how food was being prepared and put together in the kitchen.  What is sofrito rice?  "Uh, it's red rice, I don't know what's in it."  What are myacoba refried beans?  "Uh, beans that are mashed up."  You get the picture... Ultimately, we were able to order food and a flight of beers.  We ordered the brisket tacos and the flauta basket (electing to have 4 of the chicken flautas).  The food was excellent, ingredients very fresh, flavor profiles well developed, a little bit of heat in everything.  The brisket tacos were probably some of the best we've ever had!  The flautas were just downright decadent.  Rolled tortillas, deep fried, topped with charred jalapeno avocado salsa, pico de gallo, crema and cotija cheese.  Delicious! For our beer flight, we sampled each of the wild craft beers (ingredients foraged from the property and put in the beer) and the red pale ale.  I must say the wild craft beers were different, we liked the nope ale the best, it was almost like a rose wine.  The red pale ale was very good. Bottom Line:  service, average;  food, excellent;  beer, just OK.  We did not have a "gotta go back there" experience at Beerburg Brewing.

Fear not, the factory (distillery) in Buda isn't going anywhere. The folks here told me the property and buildings are being taken over and another business will be coming in. It just makes me sad because we love it here. We love everything about it and took for granted that it will always be here. The tasting room and distillery are huge and so tastefully put together. See what I did there? Lol. The grounds are the epitome of Hill Country. Amazing views of wildflowers, brush, and sky all about. Lots and lots of outdoor patio seating, food truck area, large indoor seating, tasting bar, large ordering bars, gift shop, games, and lots more. I'm reviewing as they're leaving because this is another one of those draft reviews that I've been waiting to be finished for a long time. I gotta get better at that lol. Anyway, that matters not because this place still deserves an incredible review. Absolutely amazing drinks and people. It (was) a great way to wind down after a day of outdoor activity in Hill Country. A+++++

They have a menu with premade cocktails to order from, or you can create your own with their large varieties of flavors. Outside they have nice patio seating and yard games to play. I'd definitely return!

Working with these women was one of the most meaningful parts of our wedding experience, and I am honestly so sad the wedding is over because it also meant saying goodbye to working so closely with them. From the very first moment I met Katy at an open house, I knew we were in the best hands. She walked with us through every step of the planning and design process and brought our vision to life in a way that felt so intentional, thoughtful, and deeply personal. Seeing our design board come to life on the wedding day was emotional in the best way. The subtle Halloween touches, the autumn color palette, and every little detail reflected us so perfectly. It felt like they truly knew us and cared about telling our story. These gals were so incredible and made everything feel organized, calm, and seamless. Together, they supported us in ways that went far beyond logistics. They welcomed my family with open arms, made us feel completely at ease, and created an environment filled with trust, kindness, and genuine connection. We never felt like "just another couple." We felt cared for, celebrated, and loved. Katy and Lucy poured their hearts into our wedding day, and it showed in every single moment. They are the kind of people you feel grateful to have met, not just hired. Prospect House will forever hold such a special place in our hearts, and I will recommend this planning team to anyone and everyone without hesitation.

We walked through the parking lot and on the path to the pizza and bar area. We past a large field that had a playscape and noticed that there was also a path that leads to a goat experience. We didn't do that but I wouldn't mind seeing what that's like in the future. When at the pizza and bar area we were greeted by a friendly person that took our order and name. Then we went and found a place to sit. The dining area is huge with plenty of places to sit. There were also several water refill stations which is great. Someone eventually called our name and my husband picked up our order. My husband ordered an iced hibiscus mint tea to try. He liked it. I tried it and the hibiscus flavor was a little too strong for me. We decided to share two pizzas. We ordered the pepperoni pizza and the pickle pizza. The pepperoni pizza was good. The crust was light and airy and the pepperoni had flavor. The pickle pizza was delicious. I've never had anything like it. The pizza crust was light and the pizza was flavorful. On a side note the bathroom that I experienced was in an airstream trailer and they were clean. They had other bathrooms onsite but I didn't see them. Overall Jester King Brewery was a very cool place to stop. The open field, playscape, and different experiences are great for families. The service was friendly and the bathrooms were clean. The dining area was big and the pizza was pretty good. I hope to eventually get back there for the goat experience.

The food was amazing here, and I didn't have one bad bite! The queso and the guacamole in the Creek House chip trio was so good. The truffle parmesan fries were nice and crispy, and I loved the garlic aioli on the side. Even our kids' macaroni and cheese was delicious, I was eating the leftovers as a side with my own meal! I picked the smoked and shaved beef sandwich, which had really good flavor and very tender meat. I really liked the cucumber salad on the side because it was different than your typical side of fries or regular salad. It was light and refreshing! I had bites of the redfish and the pork chop also, which are two dishes that I wouldn't normally order myself but they were both amazing bites! It was the juiciest pork chop I had ever eaten before. I paired my meal with a house blackberry soda, which was refreshing. My only regret is that I didn't have room for dessert! Overall it was a great pick for a Friday night family dinner!

It was disappointing to learn that the next day would be his last with the restaurant -- he was truly an asset. We'll be back next month, though whoever serves us next has a lot to live up to. The food itself was outstanding too -- perfectly seared shrimp and grits with sweet corn and blistered tomatoes, fried green tomatoes topped with crab and avocado, and a hearty steak sandwich with crispy fries. Every dish was as memorable as the service.
