Let me start off by saying that if you are curious about lasik and are looking at a bunch of reviews to compare lasik options, stop right here because you will not find a better lasik experience than with Dr. Khosrof and his team. The care that the team at I Love Lasik provided was truly above and beyond any chain lasik institute. I had a -4 prescription in both eyes, and relied on wearing contacts from the moment I woke up to the moment before I fell asleep. Thankfully, that has changed and I have zero regrets with choosing this lasik center, and nothing to offer but glowing praise. During the free consultation, more tests were done on my eyes than any optometrist visit I've ever been to. The staff made sure to get every test result as accurate as possible, encouraging me when I accidentally blinked or started tearing up. You can tell that they want to be as thorough as possible, even during a free consultation, because they realize how important this decision is and genuinely want you to have a positive experience. At the end of the testing, Dr. Khosrof spoke with me personally and made sure I was fully knowledgeable about lasik (the procedure, the difference between lasik and PRK, recovery time, etc.), which was such a nice personal touch. My biggest fear when contemplating lasik was a random doctor cutting into my eye then never speaking to me again. Here, I felt as if I was in great hands. So much so that I immediately scheduled my appointment for the following week. On the day of the surgery they repeated many of the tests to make sure everything was absolutely accurate. Again, this thoroughness felt so comforting. The procedure itself was fast, painless, and several of the staff talked me through a lot of the waiting, which really helped with the nerves. You really feel like you're in capable, caring hands the entire time. All in all, the entire procedure couldn't have taken more than 10 minutes (which was mostly prep stuff like numbing my eyes). I was given eye shields, a bag of items I'd need the next day, a detailed reminder/rundown of all the do's and don'ts, and sent on my way home. Unfortunately, the person who was supposed to pick me up was sick. I couldn't see through my eye shields very well post-op, so the staff took my phone, ordered my Uber, waited with me outside in the cold, double checked the license number, and opened the door to put me inside!!! Truly I have never had a more caring medical experience. The results are almost immediate, and honestly feel miraculous. The next day my eyes were a little light sensitive, but after resting all day I went out for dinner with friends and had zero issues. My check up with Dr. Khosrof revealed that I now have 20/20 eyesight, and my corneas are healing perfectly. He truly did a fantastic job. And yes, they check in with you even after they have your money! You don't just feel like they took your money and want nothing to with you! 3 checkups (one within 1-3 days, one within a week, and one within a month) were easy to schedule and as pleasant and thorough as I came to expect with this team. I can't recommend this place enough! I decided to get LASIK a few weeks ago and began my research on Yelp and Google. I was impressed by all the positive reviews on here and so I decided to schedule myself a consultation. I left my number via the website and got a call back in a few hours. I was able to get an appointment on that Saturday, which was great because most places I had checked out before were much less flexible. The initial consultation included about 45 min of tests (including dilation). The staff was amazing - so kind and so helpful for someone deciding on a life-changing operation. I also got to meet Dr. Khosrof for the first time, who was friendly and answered all of my questions. After hearing my options, I decided to go with the Dr's recommendation for my eyes, which was custom LASIK. I scheduled to come back the next Saturday to complete my remaining tests and to do the surgery on the same day. You can also opt to come in one extra time in between the first consultation and the surgery to complete the remaining tests. Surgery day was easy peasy. My tests took maybe another 45 min and the surgery itself was about 15, most of which was just getting me ready for the surgery. I didn't feel any pain. It's mostly just pressure. I went home that afternoon and took a nap, which were the Dr's orders. By the time I woke up the next morning, I was seeing clearly. The staff provided me with a baggy for eye shields, goggles to sleep with, and sun glasses. I also got these drops that I will apply in the weeks after my surgery. Since COVID gave me a lot of downtime, I thought it was time to look into the possibility having LASIK done. I found Dr. Khosrof highly reviewed on Google and decided to schedule a consultation. The day of my consultation, I got to meet Dr. Khosrof's kind and professional staff that thoroughly tested and measured my eyes. At this point, I was still quiet apprehensive about the entire LASIK surgery process until I discussed my options with Dr. Khosrof. He answered all my questions -- I found him to be kind, very thorough and knowledgeable and made me feel extremely confident about the surgery. During my second appointment, my eyes were thoroughly tested and measured again. On the day of my surgery, I was thoroughly measured one final time before the actual procedure. During the procedure, Dr. Khosrof explained each step before it happened, which helped to keep me calm. Minutes later, my surgery was done. His staff gave me a thorough explanation of what my post-op care required. The morning after, I was already seeing very clearly. That afternoon was my first post-op appointment, during which my eyes were thoroughly measured and confirmed that I was seeing 20/20. I was originally planning to get Lasik surgery done with another doctor who had done eye surgery on me before; I figured since my previous eye surgery with them went well, I could trust that doctor. However, I wasn't really happy with my consultation with the other surgeon and didn't feel comfortable overall, so I did some research to find another place and found Dr. Khosrof. I really liked his staff! They were really kind and answered any random questions I had. And I really liked Dr. Khosrof because he was honest with me from the get-go. He caught some eye issues I didn't even know I had and was honest when he said I might not get 20/20 vision because of those issues. I had a high prescription (-6.25), an astigmatism and slight lazy eye, so I would probably get 20/25 vision but my other eye issues would be fixed. I felt comfortable with Dr. Khosrof and felt like I could trust him with my eyes, so I decided to get the surgery. Everything went well and I felt no pain, except I did dislodge the flap in my right eye. Luckily it was caught quickly and Dr. Khosrof and his team was able to fix it. I did my LASIK surgery here last summer and was quite pleased with the outcome. Perfect vision afterwards! I should have done it earlier in life; the joys of not dealing with contacts and glasses are simply amazing. They don't accept credit cards, which is understandable. I paid via Venmo which I really appreciated (who doesn't use Venmo these days?). During the many consultant visit, I felt like Dr. Khosrof and his team really took their time to evaluate me as a candidate for surgery. He made clear that he put my health first. During the evaluation, he saw a weakness in my retina that could cause problems (I had known of it for years but did not know there was a solution) and he fixed it straight away! As for the surgery itself - Dr. Khosrof was reassuring and calming. Not to scare anyone, but I did feel some pain in one of my eyes. I was clearly distressed and one of his team was so sweet - she held my hand and soothed me. Aftercare was great, they gave precise instructions and all the stuff you need to protect your eyes. Life Changing! Dr. Samer's Lasik center is incredible. All of his machinery is top of the line and his facility is clean. It's true that you need to wait a while in his waiting room due to heavy foot traffic, but that just proves his center is the place to go. Everyone wants treatment from him. He is gifted and experienced, and sees over 100 patients a week. The staff is talented and hands on with everything, insuring for the best visit possible. They all speak Arabic and English and have extensive background knowledge on what they are doing. As for me, I had lasik treatment over a month ago, and I still can't believe how well my eyes are doing. Alhamduleelah, the procedure was quick and the healing process only takes a few hours. I had little to no pain in my eyes just 2 hours after leaving the facility. And results are apparent as soon as you take your bandages off. I highly recommend anyone thinking about lasik surgery to have a consultation with Dr. Samer Khosrof. It will change your life for the better as it did mine. I can't believe the amazing work Dr, Khosrof did for me. I flew from SAN Diego, CA for the first to NY just to use his expertise to correct my vision for near and distant, after one ophthalmologist in SD ruined my vision. I just had my lasik surgery done 8/21 and was able to get back to work the following monday. i was nearsighted with astigmatism and was looking for lasik consultation and surgery. My experience at I Love Lasik is great! I took the self test on the website and I received a call back the next day for an appointment. The first consultation appointment last about 2 hours. The tests were very thorough. I met with Dr Khosrof after and was told that I'm a candidate for Lasik and he explained everything in great details for me. I schedule to come back the next Thursday for the surgery. I was kind of nervous but all the staffs were extremely kind to me so that put me at ease a little. The surgery went really well. I didn't feel any pain, the most difficult part for me was the pressure in the beginning. I went back for post-op appointment the next day after the surgery and now I have 20/20 vision. I been wearing glasses since I was a kid for over 20 years, and today I'm finally free from wearing glasses and contact lenses and this really means a lot to me!! We My father's right eye was worsening significantly fast due to his diabetes. We came in for an appt (as always, we trust him as our doctor), and on that day Dr. Samer decided that if my dad wanted to do his cataract surgery when he came back from Philippines, that he was welcome to get it done right away. My dad decided he wanted to get it done and when he came back he did the surgery. He only had to wear his eye patch overnight and when we saw Dr. Samer the next day (went in right away), my dad's vision went from 20/200 to 20/50. Amazing! Then we were told to come back 3 days later and now his vision is 20/20!! Dr. Samer khosfor is a really good surgeon doctor. I just did a lasik surgery. To tell you the truth i was really scared of doing something, That has to deal with the word surgery. when you hear the word surgery just gives me a fear. But i had to be strong and i really was the type that hates to wear glasses and my eye sight was the worst. But after doing it i feel so much better and im happier with my eye sight. I had such an incredible experience at "I love Lasik" all of the staff was so helpful and the nurses were so kind and welcoming it's such a warm atmosphere full of really kind and thoughtful people and I don't think I've ever felt as cared for and considered in such a kind way as I did with Dr. Khosrof.
