I was in charge of planning a party with colleagues- I was desperate for a bartender after mine cancelled 2 weeks before the party. I came across this Yelp and was a little leery because there aren't many reviews. Hunter and I had a great conversation and I felt reassured. Hunter was helpful, eager, and though he's a newer bartender, he's well on his way of being so busy he won't know what to do! This guy is great. His drinks got so many compliments. We had a heavy Old Fashioned group- he made so many smoked Old Fashions! The group loved them and kept drinking. One of the absolute best mai tai's-when I went to Maui I tried several- Hunters is top 3- no joke. Lemon drops- delicious. People raved over his espresso martinis. He really worked so hard. If you're in need of a private/mobile bartender- I hope this review helps you decide. Hunter makes his own syrups- juices- he brings it all- you supply the alcohol. He's helpful, quick to respond, helps with brand ideas and will create signature drinks for your event. Hunter is vey knowledgeable and will help you estimate how much liquor you need for your event pretty accurately. On top of all of that he is a gem of a man and was a highlight of the night. PHENOMENAL BARTENDER! From my first interaction with Hunter, I knew immediately I was in good hands. He was able to suggest what drinks to serve at my event and even customized some of the drinks for my guests. On the day of my event, he got there early to start setting up his bar and was ready to make drinks on time. As soon as he was ready, my guests eagerly started to line up. He was so fast, professional, and always greeted everyone with a great attitude. Not to mention his drinks were delicious! I have hired other bartenders in the past, and they used mixes for their drinks which really didn't make the drinks taste all that well. Hunter made all the syrups himself and made margaritas with actual lime juice, no margarita mix. Hunter's margaritas are to die for! Sadly, I didn't get to take that many pictures of the drinks, as I was enjoying them too much and never got to actually take a photo. Although, I can truly say his drinks are spectacular! Some of my guests didn't speak English well and Hunter was able to speak to them in Spanish, which my guests appreciated. The level of hospitality and service was excellent! My guests felt extra special and well taken care of. Hunter even started telling jokes in Spanish. My guests had a great time with him! I started to search for a bartender on Yelp for my birthday party of 50 people. After talking to three other people, I noticed that the prices varied a lot for doing the same thing. Hunter was within the lower price range, and I liked talking to him the easiest and the best, so I decided to go ahead and hire him. I just did a quick Zelle deposit, and we started talking about making a menu with special tropical drinks. He asked me what I like, and he made some suggestions. After that, he asked me to order the alcohol I wanted from the store, and he helped me pick the right alcohol for the party. He even went and picked it up for me. I just paid online, and he got to the party one hour before it started and started to set up the bar. He even brought an espresso machine to make coffee martinis, which were a hit, and everyone's talking about them to this day. He was ready for the party, and the guests arrived on time. Hunter from I make Drinks is incredibly attentive and super professional. I have been burned before with other bartenders and was incredibly wary of hiring another bartender but he was recommended to me by a family friend and I was also able to attend one of his event and got to experience his service first hand. From the first moment I reached out to him via Instagram he was incredibly quick with his responses. He helped me choose drinks to maximize the alcohol use so I would not be left with lots of left over alcohol which is super nice because I for one do not like whiskey and do not need a handle left over. His drinks come with fresh ingredients, I mean he personally makes all the mixers and trust me you will notice the difference as some store bought mixers may taste too artificial. The day of the event he showed up early to set up and was ready to serve as soon as my guest started trickling in. The event went perfectly and his drinks were absolutely delicious.
