Last November, I wrote about researching 150 coiled spring mattresses, then sampling more than was probably healthy, before finding Custom Comfort Mattress. This is the apex of the mattress world; a product so sublime that the word "comfort" in its name understates the bliss one feels sleeping on it. We bought our mattress because I was ill and I knew the first time I tried it that I felt better. I knew then I needed the ability to precisely position and frequently adjust the mattress to the pain from my illness. Two months after buying it, I was diagnosed with the terminal illness ALS. So when a small glitch developed this week in the positioning system for me this was not just an inconvenience. It was a medical event.
