I go there jus before 11 and the place was PACKED. I figure because I have an appointment it won't be long. WRONG!!!! Another couple of ladies came into the packed salon ..also with 11 a.m. appointments. Neither Stephanie nor Jaden (owners) got up to address the upset ladies. They just kept working while Stephanie told them... we're 2 minutes behind. Like a fool, I waited. At 12:15 I was out in a pedicure chair...1 hr 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment. At 1:00 haven't started yet, water is cold. At 1:15 Stephanie's father did a piss poor, half assed pedicure... meaning no leg massage, hot stones were like warm, paraffin Luke warm. At 2 Jaden started on my nails. He removed 1 nail and then went to another customer...someone who came in after me . The father went to do the nails of a lady who just arrived. I asked Jaden if Stephanie was going to do my nails. His answer...yeah, maybe. I got up to leave and was charged $51. For the half assed pedicure and asked if I'd like to reschedule. REALLY!!! Mind you I have always tipped each person $20.00...yes, even for a $51. Pedicure. FKN DIDN'T HAPPEN TODAY!! Today they lost a little customer. Be forewarned...the only employees are the 2 owners and a mom and a dad. When I left I called WORLD spa. They got me right in and did a fantastic job. They have a new client...and yes, I tipped $20.

She is the most careful when handling my medium length natural nails. Before switching ownership to Stephanie there was an old man here. I came in once and he did a terrible job. He would always smoke outside and he had terrible mouth hygiene (TERRIBLY STINKY). His teeth are rotten and throwing up the west side - going all kinds of different directions. I asked if the guy still works here and they said no but I believe he does. I was the first one to come in on a Friday. This is my normal routine and I've never had an issue with being serviced by my two preferred nail techs (names mentioned above). This was normal for over a year. On this particular visit, my manicurist had appointments (No one told me this) and she arrived 45 mins late. I got my pedicure done and soaked my nails while waiting for her to come in. About 8 other people came in after me. I was okay with waiting for her. Stephanies younger brother was doing my soak off. Then Mr. Stinky took over. I never EVER gave him authorization to assist with my soak off. He was using a drill roughly and had already damaged my natural nails while I was waiting for Stephanie to arrive. But I just sat there and dealt with my issues internally. I moved from the pedicure chair to the manicure chair and again Mr. Stinky started working on my nails and I politely said I wanted Stephanie to do my nails. He said, "you want to wait then" and shouted "WAIT" at me! And began laughing at me. I was already gagging from smelling his rotten black teeth and cigarette breath then he proceeded to do a woman's nails that literally walked in 10mins ago. I was there for 2 hours at this point. It was very male chauvinistic! At that point, I didn't understand why he had this energy towards me. I was confused until my nail tech FINALLY SAID she had appointments. Regardless, I didn't want him to do my nails but he didn't have to be a pure A**Hole. But like we all do, I just sat there and dealt with my issues internally. Anywho, after my normal nail tech (the manager/owner of the business) specified that she had appointments she didn't even care about me having to wait an additional hour(s) nor did she try to prioritize me with another nail tech even though I was the first one at the nail shop. By this time, I was already there for 2 HOURS. I get it, you have appointments so they should be serviced before me even though I was here first. They have priority, I'M UNDERSTANDING! That was never my issue. I was just sitting there looking dumb and the surrounding clients felt the unfair treatment but they wanted their service to be pleasant so they sat in silence, looked awkwardly, and dealt with their issues internally. Overall, these people don't care about us Americans. They are just here to do a service and to take our money. Keep in mind, I give 20 dollar tips as well. And I know about the managers family meaning we do talk! We have a professional personal relationship. To add perspective, I can mention things about her marriage and her brother's marriage because she shared personal details with me but I guess expecting fair personable treatment is above me. After he laughed at me and I felt my blood pressure rising, I expressed my displeasure. My normal nail tech (manager/owner) didn't even care enough to intervene to protect me - the customer - I paid for my pedicure and soak off and left. Honestly, I felt so disrespected that I even contemplated calling my husband to the shop. Bet I would have been respected then. People truly fail to realize the level of grace that is given on a daily basis. On a better note, to turn a bad situation good - I literally started learning how to do my own nails because I refuse to let my money keep their business and others like this booming. You all should try it! It's therapeutic and not that hard to do gel x. This time was a fill, short nails and nail art, and it was more expensive than my long nails costing me $96 dollars, which I attached the evidence of. I was quoted baseline $41 dollars for a fill, but the price final price of $96 entails my nail art was $55 dollars which I cannot fathom, I got nearly the same type of nail art with accent fingers and French tip design the only difference was the tech. I asked for credit or a partial refund as I was charged over 30 dollars, when I call to get quoted for the same service as I received they quote me around 50 dollars to 60 dollars, I add up the prices on their website and it is the same, even in my photo I took it says "full set" on their POS digitized screen not fill and polish change which is what my appointment was for. I have attached proof from my camera roll, a photo I took of myself waiting dates 4:12 pm the photo I took leaving dates 6:47 pm, meaning it almost took them three entire hours to finish my nails, I believe that I was overcharged to cover the workers slow pace which is no fault of my own. I am looking to resolve this and get my money back partial refund, it is unfair I was charged like this and I just want my money back. I understand if it is a mistake, but Mio nails has not admitted it is a mistake what I was charged although I have all the evidence, I would delete my negative review if this is resolved but I feel as if my trust has been betrayed as I have been a loyal customer and refused to go anywhere else.
