Came here for bowling. The drinks here are standard and a pretty good price. Their light beer pitchers were $10. Looking at just the overhead menu in the bowling area is really confusing and the prices are all over the place so definitely feel free to ask. Ended up getting the pepperoni pizza and it was really good! A little floppy which some people might not like but I thought it was great. They have a ton of napkins everywhere so that was great. The actual lanes are cool with a ton of standing room and space for people to mingle and talk while they bowl. Overall a cool place for a group! Would come again! read more

My only disappointment was twice in the last month when I visited i tried to use my gift card up at the bar and they said both times they only have one register that they can use them on and it wasn't working. So I had to pay with cash and left with my unused gift card. I was really disappointed because I wasn't expecting to have to pay with another form of payment. Once maybe I'd understand and think it was just a glitch, but twice now for this to happen is unacceptable. Especially when they have advertisements on every screen saying to buy gift cards. Lots of fun! If you want to bowl, have good cocktails, and eat snacks, this is the place for you. I wish there was a similar place where we live in Colorado. The decor is super fun and the staff were pretty friendly. The hummus was the best - some of the other food was just fine, but not exceptional. Toward the end of the night, we definitely had some delays in our food and dishes came out haphazardly. I just wish it was easier to move from bowling to a table without booking. read more

Came here for a work event, we had a semi private section. It's an interesting concept, bar, restaurant and bowling. Place is large, 34 bowling lanes..told if you want a lane book online ahead of time. There's a bunch of indoor/outdoor games weather permitting. Unlike most game entertainment places they serve classy craft cocktails and premium food options.salmon, ribeye steak, pierogis and duck sausage... definitely not what I expect when bowling. There's also your normal staples of pizza, fries and wings. I'm didn't really participate in to many games... just a little weird of a combo for me. read more

Popular hang out spot in Rochester. Came here with a small group on a Saturday evening and it was PACKED, meaning the choice of bowling balls may be limited. Rentals are by the hour here. Tried the pizza, radio hummus, curly fries, pimento cheese dip. The food was surprisingly decent for a bowling ally, especially the radio hummus. The pimento cheese dip would have tasted better if they had fancier crackers (than Ritz). They also have a good selection of drinks on tap. read more

Over five years in Rochester and this is my first time to Radio Social. My friends and I totally loved it! The vibe was super happening on a Saturday night. You have to make reservations for restaurant and bowling though. Can't just walk-in. Pretty crowded. The bowling shoes are included in the bowling lane rental. Drinks and food are reasonably priced for the place. We tried their pizza, curly fries and chicken kebabs. The pizza was really good and the black garlic mayo with the curly fries was amazing. The chicken kebabs were cool and a let-down. Food is served to your bowling lane. And they clean up pretty promptly. They also have many other arcade games, table tennis, corn hole, etc. Would strongly suggest this place for a fun evening out. read more

I went there for a friends birthday. 2 lanes were reserved. There was a slight hiccup with the reservation as the times weren't the ones chosen. She stated this happens all the time, that the system will change it to the next available slot if your slot isn't available. She blamed it on the people making the reservation. The system shouldn't let you pick a time, if its not available... Thankfully, our time slot was only 1/2 hour later, not a big deal. The bowling lanes are well taken care of and electronic scoring is neat. There was one machine breakdown but it was resolved quickly. They have a variety of indoor games; arcade games, ping pong, shuffle board, and of course bowling. They have two bars. The one in the back was closed when I was there. The bartenders were great. Fast, friendly, and good drinks at average bar prices. I didn't order any food but what I saw looked really good and appetizing. The menu has a nice selection. There was a strong oil fryer smell in the air, almost like the oil was too hot and burning. That wasn't very pleasing. All in all, its a fun place to hang out for an hour or two. read more

We did the three course Ophira dinner menu and really enjoyed it! The meze dishes were pretty good overall, especially the pita and hummus. The roasted halloumi was my favorite part of the meal- amazing!! It had a warm strawberry sauce underneath it. The chicken and steak were both cooked very well and were really flavorful. My biggest complaint was how loud it was inside (am I getting old?!), which probably should have been obvious as it is also a bowling alley. Always a fun time at Radio Social. They have an eclectic twist on Sunday Brunch, but with a big space and taking reservations, it's a nice option for a larger party. Wow, what a vibe! The first time I went to Radio Social was for a bowling date night. The bowling program has some great nostalgic touches. There are couches and coffee tables behind the bowling lanes. It's welcoming and comfortable. The decor was uniform and went really well with the whole theme. There was a wall by the front with shelves of old retro radios. The first lane we were assigned was in the back. Two lanes shared a seating space. Unfortunately, the group of men at the lane next to us were super aggressive and noticeably drunk, and their banter was toxic masculine. My husband walked back to the desk and asked if we could get a different lane. At the time there were no other open ones. A few minutes into our game, a woman dropped by and let us know that a lane opened up near the front of the establishment. The move was smooth and we could pick up our game where we left off. The staff was very accommodating in making that change for us. Behind the seating area, there was a water station with plastic cups. That was a really nice touch. We didn't have to go over to the bar to get water. It's been very loud and rowdy every time I've been there. As a date spot, it was OK; I wouldn't recommend it for that. It is, however, great for parties. The many games are a great way to break into smaller groups during a large party. I've played ping pong, corn hole, giant jenga. They were all so much fun! There was an extra rental fee for the ping pong. There's also billiards and arcade games which I didn't get the chance to try out. The food for the party wasn't bad. It was better than I expected for a bowling place. I enjoyed the curly fries, salad, and hummus. Radio Social is nicer earlier in the night. Considering the two bars, it can get a little crazy later into the night. Radio Social is a unique spot in Rochester. I would recommend checking it out! read more

Brunch at Radio Social is an absolute must! Visiting friends who live in the area and they brought us there because of their wonderful experiences. They were correct, this is up there with one of the best, if not the best brunch experiences I've ever had. Everything was truly fantastic, fresh and delicious. I'm not even sure I can fairly describe the balance and popping of textures and flavors of everything we ordered. The breakfast slice, the hummus, the pastries and the salad. Truly perfection in every bite. Hopefully we will be back in the area soon to try everything else brunch has to offer and would be very curious about their other offerings as well. The negative reviews really surprise me.. are people really docking stars because they didn't make a reservation? Or because the kitchen was slammed? Come on now.. I was visiting from Chicago and my brother, sister in law, one of their friends and I went here on a Friday night. We made a two hour reservation and it was easy peasy. Shoes were clean, I saw tables and surfaces being thoroughly cleaned, it was great. The bowling was super fun. Everything was in good condition and working well. The space is very cute and funky. The food was also great! The wings were excellent, fries were great, and even bacon hummus was good although maybe a bit unnecessary.. Drinks are cheap and solid. We spent $40 on drinks for 4 people for two hours. Pitchers are really the way to go. I'd definitely come back and will be excited to see how this business grows! read more

I have been to Radio Social to bowl and drink previously, but I just tried their Sunday brunch for the first time. It was a bit tough to get a reservation, we called about a week in advance and the earlier reservation was at 12:45. Unfortunately by that time, they had run out of several brunch items including bacon. This was disappointing because I really wanted to try the chicken and waffles special. I ended up getting a different special, the black bean fritters, and crispy potatoes. The food was really good, especially the crispy potatoes. We also got mimosas and realized that they offer mimosa pitchers, which aren't on the memo. This is a way better deal if you are with a group because the pitchers are very large and are the cost of 5 individual mimosas (which are much smaller). Overall, I will come back for brunch sometime but it's definitely not your typical 'eggs, pancakes, bacon' type offering and go early so they don't run out of half the menu. read more

I visited this establishment for the first time on Sunday July 21st and it will be my last time. I arrived around 7:00 p.m. for a party. Using a smaller bar by the bowling alleys of about 16 ft. There were four people behind the bar and I stood for 20 minutes with my money out to get a drink. Never acknowledged at any time by any one of them but they had enough time to do shots. In nearly 40 years of working in and around the restaurant business, I've never seen such poor service. Even if only two of the people were bartenders they never worked. The bar. People were waiting and waiting for drinks. I never ended up getting a drink and guaranteed that I will not return. What a fun place! Take a bowling alley complete with bad video graphics and cheap bar food/drinks and set up a very nice middle eastern restaurant right next door in the same building. That's Radio Social! Very unique and a fun, full night out. You should get the chicken tangine (see more below!) Let's start with the food. Small/share plates with a variety of middle eastern choices. We got the hummus with pan fried brussels sprouts on top and it was delicious. Sprouts were a great addition to an old stand by. Came with some warm pita. We also got the Kubaneh bread, which was a warm, soft, but flaky loaf (like Challah) and came with a few dips including sesame and baba ganoush. For our first main we got beef tartare. It was soft and flavorful and came with some curried eggplant dip which was a nice pair. I am not usually up for raw stuff but this was good. Then we got chicken tangine. Wow! So delicious. It was a full breast of chicken that literally melted off the bone. I have never seen such a clean bone. Extremely flavorful sauce, a bit tangy/spicy. Best dish in the house! We also got a side of fried cauliflower, which I liked but was also a tad hard (could have been cooked more). All the dishes were $10-$12 or so, so it was a reasonable meal for four people to split and we were full at the end. Bowling was fun too. Clean alleys, unlike some old bowling alleys which are grungy. Not much else to say other than it can get crowded (even on a Thursday night when we went). At first glance it looks like an American restaurant with all the Americana that one could ask for (this is perfectly fine because it fits the venue) but NO. As I'm studying the menu and trying to figure out what is the most tasty sounding dish I could order, I couldn't find not one. Because I was taken by surprise that there were Mediterranean and middle eastern INSPIRED dishes on the menu (again, fine but this was not advertised on their website. It simply said "American, Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern). I LOVE Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes I cook them my self. But the ingredients used to make these dishes did not match with what they are supposed to taste like in reality. It really looks like someone was playing mix and match with ingredients and went with it. So I went with what was simple, since clearly the person who was employed to make the menus have no idea what flavors went with what, I ordered a cheese pizza slice. They ruined that as well. It was supposed to be a Chicago style deep dish pizza. It was made like it was a Danish with a stripe of bland tasting sauce down the middle. So not only did they ruin real Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes, they managed to ruin a simple pizza as well. It's pretty clear and obvious that there is an identity crisis going on at this location and I would never go back again. Literally a waste of time and money. But if there was a piece of advice I can give, it's they should stick to what they know. New York, Pittsburgh, Chicago Americana style dishes that are tasty and identifiable and ditch the Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern BS they just slapped on a piece of paper and called it menu. Besides that, Not only it was rather empty in the dining area (minus the people who work there and eating dinner) I haven't seen NOT ONE person who was clearly Middle Eastern let alone Mediterranean. But it's clear who was catered to, but that's a different story..... Bottom line, the food is bland AF and the customer service is clearly there to make up for what is lacking. Visited Radio for the first time this weekend. I have to say it was fun! Lots of bowling lanes, ski ball, pool, corn hole, pinball, shuffleboard... and more! Mini arcade but up to date and nice! I do like their signature cocktails. They're average price - around $10. They have beer on tap and in cans. Pretty good selection :) There is plenty of parking in the lot right across the street (it's not a busy road!). Atmosphere is cool. Love the display of old radios on the inside wall! Honestly we were a bit shocked this place wasn't busier than it was. One of the best spots in Rochester by far. It's got a funky vibe and fun for a couples date night or with a group of people. We came here for my wife's birthday. The drinks were good, the server was great, and the food was amazing. I will say the bartenders weren't amazing but could have just been a bad day for them. I like to give people a benefit of the doubt. Drinks were great just seemed when we asked a question we were in the way of their next task. I've been here quite a few times for general meet-ups. Food and drinks have always been okay, but the general customer service was helpful and it's a place where there's different things to do (bowling, a few games, outdoor patio during the summer) and for that, I'd give the place a general 3/5. But this lower score rating is for a visit today that ended up being pretty negative customer service wise that's turned me off from the place. I've heard good things about the brunch here, and when my husband and I looked online on the reservation system, we saw that there were a lot of upcoming spaces available within the next 30-45 minutes - and since we were just down the street, we figured we'd just walk in and see about putting our names in for the dining availability rather than putting it in online, just in case it wasn't necessary after all. We went in, and the host asked if we had a reservation for the dining, which we told them no, so then they guided us to sit at the bar. We clarified that we saw online in their reservation that there were upcoming tables available and were trying to clarify if doing it online from our phones were necessary or if they were just able to do it since we were there, and they told us that we'd need to do it online but that also they had no reservations available at all. We were confused because there was a discrepancy between what their website was showing and what they said, so in trying to just reclarify because what they said was in contradiction with what their reservation system said, when my husband tried to show the host this, they seemed to become frustrated and told us "like I said, you can just look with your own eyes, I only have that one table left and everything else is going to be full so again like I said you can just sit at the bar area." Rude..."you can look with your own eyes?" Why is speaking to us like that necessary? Listen, all we're trying to do is clarify to see if it was worth putting in our names on the reservation system that they said we had to do to get in (but then claimed wasn't available despite their system saying it was), the "you can just see for yourself" passive aggressive dismissal was unnecessary (and also means nothing to me lmao esp since there were many empty tables and I don't even know what everyone who was sitting down had going on, like who was staying or leaving, but I don't need to know that information either as it's not relevant so what are you trying to prove besides acting nasty?) and the person wasn't even trying to hear our inquiries and clarification of the contradiction, so my husband informed the host that they were acting rudely and asked to see the manager. The host went to get the manager. We'd decided by that point that we no longer wanted to eat there but wanted to inform the manager that the treatment towards us felt uncalled for, in hopes that maybe the manager would maybe tell their staff to maybe be more mindful about basic customer service and how they choose to speak to customers who just may not be understanding nor wanting to commit to a reservation that's stated as available when really it's not (according to the host), and maybe even just inform manager that maybe there's a discrepancy in your system and if so maybe it should be called to your attention but when trying to talk to him, he seemed disinterested and said "Okay well that wasn't intentional. So what can I do for you?" Excuse me?They made a CHOICE to speak and say things like that to us and communicate poorly. But that wasn't intentional? And also, even if you don't want your host to take accountability for their choice words, Intent doesn't matter if the impact was clearly negative. I get that we all have our bad days where you feel bold enough to treat people poorly because you're invested in your own mess, I get that, but be accountable for your actions. How will you do better next time so that your employees aren't getting to the point where they feel bold enough to talk down to customers and talking to them like they're stupid when trying to ask a simple question about your establishment, esp when there's a discrepancy? You don't know where people come from, what their experience with different dining places might be, different power dynamics, cultural/societal differences, and also sometimes, computer reservation systems are faulty and mess up....so tell me how you're gonna commit to doing better so that you're checking yourself even if you have a bad day. But the manager seemed uninterested and even shrugged when walking away when we informed him that we'll just go somewhere else. Don't want to support a business that doesn't GAF about you and how you're talked to and being treated. read more

We came as a group of college students excited to have a fun night as a break from a stressful environment. The security guy checks our ID and doesn't let 3 of us in because we aren't 21. We have never had issues coming in and he was so rude to us. Rochester is full of colleges and you can't let 20 year olds in? Ridiculous and will not be recommending this place to ANYONE. Radio Social is one of the best group-activity evenings you can have in Rochester. The 1960s aesthetic is perfect, with a clever mix of bowling, fun cocktails, and other games and oddities to create a consistently lively atmosphere. This is a great option for happy hour, and the "social" aspect is really encouraged. You can see a packed house any night of the week - make sure to get your reservation far in advance for the best possible timeslot. The bowling is very consistent from visit to visit. Making a game and getting going is very easy. If you own your own bowling balls or bowling shoes, I'd recommend bringing your own. The food and beverage options are also consistent and reasonably priced. While I do love coming here, I feel that there are a couple things that keep me from putting Radio Social at five stars. The parking is consistently a nightmare, with drivers going every which way on a small lot. I don't mind having to park a little farther away, but a re-pave and paint would do this lot wonders. They also have to compete for parking with Comedy at the Carlson, which doesn't help. This is also a weird nitpick, but I wish it was less congested from the bowling lanes to the back area when getting a snack. Just seems like people were standing in the way... a lot. Overall I really like Radio Social and I anticipate coming there more often in the future. Most of my criticisms come from it just being a popular place. A highlight in Rochester for sure! read more

No bumpers. Not accommodating for adults with physical needs. No fun. Recent "rule" updates we have been made aware of include: 1. You cannot have bumpers unless someone in your group is under 7. We had 2 9 year olds who sank every ball in the gutter. Needless to say, not enjoyable. The lane next to us said it's an attempt to keep kids out, so maybe there is something to that. 2. I had a drop-in party for my birthday by just grabbing a couple bar tables and having friends show up and hang out. Everyone loved it. Bar get a little loud from the bowling but not a big deal. i have went here a couple of times for bowling and the last time I went (and will ever go) was during the Thanksgiving break. I made a reservation for 6pm on their website. When I arrived at the place, they said that my reservation was for 10:30pm. I told the woman at the front that I made it for 6pm - she then gaslights me and says "well maybe you missed the THREE times that it asked you to confirm". mind you, I know I confirmed for 6pm because I have young children with me and would never go that late. the woman then went on to say that the system "does that" sometimes (mind you, this is after she tried to BS me that I DID the error). nonetheless, I got my refund and will never go back to this place due to that snarky and horrible interaction. I WOULD ENCOURAGE YOU TO GO TO SEABREEZE BOWL - if you want a Rochester local and native favorite, they are a nice cozy, old fashioned spot that has a bar and open bowl. don't fall for the overpriced, new trendy places like this one. read more

What a fabulous brunch it was so delicious. Get there early because they run out of things. The receptionist when I called her gave me so much information. We got there at noon and we got a great table the service was amazing. It's a Mediterranean Turkish feel. We had wonderful Turkish coffee comes with dates. It was so much fun try the radio Mamosa.
