Nice guy! I picked him because he was very patient to answer all my questions as a homeowner. He's also a contractor too which helps. I learned a lot through his thorough inspection. Only thing was the report would miss tiny things that he would note to me in person - so I wish the report was more detailed in that regard. But it's good enough for me to give to contractors on what needs to be fixed. If I were to need an inspection around the area, I'd use him again. read more

We used Doug to inspect two houses we were buying. For the second one he also acted as a "project manager," coordinating other specialist inspectors we employed, and reviewing the construction plans to advise us on the nature and quality of the construction work. Doug is a former contractor, so he has hands-on experience with construction. We felt that his reports and analysis were much better than others we have previously received from home inspectors who were not contractors. Doug is a nice guy. I cannot say anymore wonderful things about Douglas and the experience we had. I was looking around on Angie's list when I found him and read some great reviews. When we spoke on a Sunday morning he accommodated us by meeting us same day! On a Sunday !!! He was super professional and informative and we received an 85 page report almost the next day with pics and recommendations. Honestly the best experience I've had so far in purchasing this home. The most important part, was that I felt super comfortable asking my "stupid" questions about home repairs and he was so genuine. You can totally tell he cares about his customers. Doug is really GREAT at what he does..He's very professional answer our questions was prompt and KNOWS what he's doing..everything he promised was given..Our home inspection report was very well done and beautifully put in pictures and phases..If in the near future I needed him again I would definitely hire him again or refer him...our report was ready the next day today WOW... Got pissed with non-professional attitude of another 5 star reviewed inspector guys/company while being desperate at my buying general inspection edge of deadline I found Doug thru his yelp limited but completely honest looking reviews, and I definitely didn't regret! He is the patient right and expert inspector that worked with me on a very short notice and even trusted me to get paid after committing the actual inspection. Devoted enough to wear an overall and go underneath of building in a super tiny crawl space, and still checked every single little corner of plumbings, electrics, roof, appliances and attic. Googled home inspector and received three recommendations. Doug called back within 10 minutes. Set up appointment for Saturday 9am. He was already there when I arrived taking photos. The sellers agents' "representative" arrived late with the wrong key to the property, Doug had no problem rescheduling at noon and was Cool as can be. I was PISSED off!! Doug returned and went straight to work. This was my 2nd inspection and as I told Doug, I regret not having him do the 1st inspection. His report was much more descriptive with pictures and recommendations for repair. He wasn't afraid to get dirty in the crawl space or attic which he also did last not to track dirt or mud in the house. I could go on and on about this man but you probably wont read it all. BOTTOM LINE...you will NOT be disappointed. You WILL get a quality service and a VERY affordable price. I paid more for less at another inspection company and because I used them, there were several things missed which my agents didn't address in the request for repair. read more
