Once inside you can tell that it lives up to the bar and grill in its name. It has this look inside that gives off this 80s dining vibe. One that calls back to those eateries once found in the mall. You know, those ones where it's almost too dark to see yourself let alone the menu. One where it is very dark wood, heavy on the brick, and all things that make you feel like your in and old time inn. Once settled at a table, we had our menus in hand and were given some time to look them over. Our server came back, took our drink orders and left us for a few more minutes to finalize our decisions considering the menu. Once we decided orders were place and we just waited for our food to come out. It gave us time to look around the place and take in our surroundings. When we first got here, there weren't many people. As we ordered, there were more and more customers that came in. Filling up the tables and making it feel warmer. We were in the midst of conversation and our food came out. I ordered the Franklin Street Bar & Grill Famous Meatloaf. This comes with a slice of the thickest homemade meatloaf I have ever seen. Plopped on top of a pile of mashed potatoes then topped with fried onion rings and smothered in brown gravy. This thing, even though not exactly as described and pictured, was delicious. Not sure if it is fame worthy as I have never heard of it, but hey, I will make sure to remember this when in the area again.
