The delivery was fast and I like that they deliver to our location! The focaccia was good I did add my own salt and garlic powder but on its own it was great. The pizza, I loved the sauce! I was eating the sauce and dough. The cheese reminds me of school lunch pizza very thick and not very good. That's just my opinion about that kind of cheese. This might be the blandest tasting food I've ever had. I don't know why my family and friends like it so much, but it literally has no taste for me. Their salad is all iceberg stems and their dressings are seriously lacking so much. We've been burned on service several times. There is nothing that makes me want this at all. I have to hand it to this place. The pizza is good, on time, and quite tasty. Granted, it's certainly not the best pizza in the world, but it's always hot and satisfying. Being as I work mere miles from here, we often order pizza from here for lunch. Our order is always on time, regardless of how small or large our order is. On top of that the staff is always friendly and happy to accommodate (this includes the pizza delivery guy!) When it comes to pizza I like to keep things pretty simple, which is why my favorite pizza from here is simply the pepperoni. I'm sure their other styles of pizza are great, but, for me, nothing beats a hot slice of pepperoni pizza. One of these days, I'm going to make it a point to give one of their Strombolis a try. I've heard so many great things and can't wait to sink my teeth into one! All in all, if you find yourself in the Westmont section of Johnstown, stop in and give this place a go! The crust is just thick and crispy enough to support the rest of the ingredients, the sauce is delicious (and there's enough on there to actually taste), and the cheese and toppings are perfect. The crust has a light crisp bottom with a roll just thick enough to keep it chewy and flexible when you grab a slice to gorge. The taste fresh homemade doughy perfection. The sauce. The SAUCE!!! My personal best. Sour like with a sweet finish like vineripened tomatoes. Little Italian seasoning not too much. The tomato taste prevails. Crucial for me. I hate a sweetened over seasoned pizza sauce. And plenty of it which keeps the belly of crust soft n chewy!!! The cheese. Im guessing a tri blend of Italian cheeses. Provolone mozzarella and romano which gives it that pungent kick at the end. I always get extra cheese as a topping. Love this blend. And what seals the deal is the cheese is cooked to a bubbly brown treat to the end of the crust which makes me wanna eat the entire slice!! Toppings to your preference. I prefer pepperoni to finish the joy but feel free to add your favorites. The shop is small with about 3 tables. For this reason i always get takeout. Specialty pizzas such as vegetable and white are superior. I have heard the Hot hoagies are great such as meatball and eggplant sub but never had. Also have some of the best homemade gobs ive encountered. These are also known as whoopie pies to to the non-western Pennsylvanian!! My family is from this area so whenever we make the 3 hour drive from Harrisburg...we have to get some Santo's. It is the best pizza in all of Johnstown. Sometimes we get it to go and sometimes we eat it there. It is always better there. Staff & owners are over the top friendly & accommodating. When the family visits us from Johnstown- Santo's makes the pizza but doesn't bake it - boxes it and gives baking instructions to my Gram and she brings it with her. I went to Pitt-Johnston for four years and unfortunately was only introduced to Santos Pizza my last year there. I live in Pittsburgh and am currently planning a day trip just to get a pie. As boring as it sounds, the deep dish cheese pizza (a little under baked) is all you need. Sometimes I will get banana peppers and peperoni but the pizza is so doughy and thick that you really don't need to add to it. I haven't ordered take out because nothing beats when it's fresh from the over. The sauce is super flavorful but the dough is what makes it. It's small and family owned-- I patron it more so because of that. I would make this a destination if you're passing Johnstown or if you live there. It's just as good the next day too, straight from the fridge. It was a great college memory and a great hangover cure! read more

I LOVE santos! I moved out of Johnstown in 2012, lived in NC and now I'm in Florida, and I have yet to have pizza that compares to Santos. Also can't beat the small homey atmosphere. This was advertised as the best pizza in Johnstown. Well, we are in trouble! Let's start with the wait...I was told it would be 45 mins. When I got there I was told it was just being made and would be next in the oven. So after another 15 mins, I received my pizza. I don't mind waiting, but at least be truthful about the wait time when we order! I was very disappointed. The sauce was good but the dough was chewy and undercooked. They also used canned mushrooms, not my favorite. The whole pie just seemed as though it was not baked completely. Maybe it's the type of oven they use, but who knows. This is hands down the best pizza I have ever had. There is something in the grease that makes you want to eat it two or three slices at a time, and eat it all until there is none left. As Emily (below) has said, this will always be my favorite pizza place, and will always set the benchmark for all other pizza's that I've tried. If you love santos, then you will need to try Falls Church's (Virginia) Ledo's pizza (barbeque chicken) pizza. Hands down probably #2 in my book. As good as a pizza you will find in Johnstown. I wouldn't recommend it as a place to go sit down and eat, because seating is limited. Takeout or delivery.
